   Busy, busy...

Oi, why do teachers have to be so CONFUSING?!!! XP I'm really starting to get annoyed with school! I can't wait until Christmas break!!!

Anyway, school was OK I guess... in art I finally got the underpainting for my project done! XD It's a very light shade of grey, this should look interesting! XD

I'm starting to get a sore throat! TT_TT I really don't want a cold! They're so painful and annoying!

I've got a lot of homework, so I'd better get going, sorry this post is so random and short! I'll try to do better tomorrow! At the moment I'm trying to figure out how to put a picture in the back, so bear with me, OK?

Sorry, I can't think of any questions right now... ^^' I know, Queen of Sheba's a bad girl today...

   Ugh... no more...

Today I was so tired!!! I couldn't stand it! I was so sure that today would be a snow day... but it wasn't... TT_TT... that totally sucks! XP

So... I've finally gotten a present for my dad! XD It's a 2 disc special of "the Good, the Bad, and the Ugly"! XD I hope he likes it! (I found it on sale for $6 *shushes you* DON'T TELL!!!)

I'm gonna try a new theme for my site for Christmas, so wish me luck, OK? I'm not too good with site layouts, and I still haven't been able to figure out how to apply themes to myO... can someone help me?

Questions

1. After you download a layout off the web, how do you apply your own personal information?

2. How do you then get the URL to apply to MyO?

3. Can you keep in touch with me to help my poor brain absorb all of this information?

It's 2 WEEKS until my mom gets here!!! XD I'm so EXCITED!!! XD I'm gonna hang out with mom for so flippin long! Hoky CRAP I can't wait!!! XD

Sorry that yesterday's post was so long, I should have split that quiz into sections to feed you in slow amounts, the comments were rather overwhelming, though interesting! XD

Here's a story that I got in an email from my friend, it made me cry... enjoy! ^^

THE ROOM

17-year-old Brian Moore had only a short time to write something for a class. The subject was what Heaven was like. 'I wowed 'em,' he later told his father, Bruce. 'It's a killer. It's the bomb. It's the best thing I ever wrote..' It also was the last.

Brian's parents had forgotten about the essay when a cousin found it while cleaning out the teenager's locker at Teary Valley High School . Brian had been dead only hours , but his parents desperately wanted every piece of his life near them-notes f rom classmates and teachers, his homework.

Only two months before, he had handwritten the essay about encountering Jesus in a file room full of cards detailing every moment of the teen's life.. But it was only after Brian's death that Beth and Bruce Moore realized that their son had described his view of heaven. 'It makes such an impact that people want to share it. You feel like you are there.' Mr. Moore said.

Brian Moore died May 27, 1997, the day after Memorial Day. He was driving home from a friend's house when his car went off Bulen-Pierce Road in Pickaway County and struck a utility pole. He emerged from the wreck unharmed but stepped on a downed power line and was electrocuted.

The Mores framed a copy of Brian's essay and hung it among the family portraits in the living room. 'I think God used him to make a point. I think we were meant to find it and make something out of it,' Mrs. Moore said of the essay. She and her husband want to share their son's vision of life after death. 'I'm happy for Brian. I know he's in heaven. I know I'll see him.'

Brian's Essay: The Room...

In that place between wakefulness and dreams, I found myself in the room. There were no distinguishing features except for the one wall covered with small index card files. They were like the ones in libraries that list titles by author or subject in alphabetical order. But these files, which stretched from floor to ceiling and seemingly endless in either direction, had very different headings. As I drew near the wall of files, the first to catch my attention was one that read 'Girls I have liked.' I opened it and began flipping through the cards. I quickly shut it, shocked to realize that I recognized the names written on each one. And then without being told, I knew exactly where I was.

This lifeless room with its small files was a crude catalog system for my life. Here were written the actions of my every moment, big and small, in a detail my
memor y couldn't match. A sense of wonder and curiosity, coupled with horror, stirred within me as I began randomly opening files and exploring their content. Some brought joy and sweet memories; others a sense of shame and regret so intense that I would look over my shoulder to see if anyone was watching.

A file named 'Friends' was next to one marked 'Friends I have betrayed.' The titles ranged from the mundane to the outright weird 'Books I Have Read,' 'Lies I Have Told,' 'Comfort I have Given,' 'Jokes I Have Laughed at.' Some were almost hilarious in their exactness: 'Things I've yelled at my brothers.' Others I couldn't laugh at: 'Things I Have Done in My Anger', 'Things I Have Muttered Under My Breath at My Parents.' I never ceased to be surprised by the contents.

Often there were many more cards than I expected. Sometimes fewer than I hoped. I was overwhelmed by the sheer volume of the life I had lived. Could it be possible that I had the time in my years to fill each of these thousands or even millions of cards? But each card confirmed this truth. Each was written in my own handwriting. Each signed with my signature.

When I pulled out the file marked 'TV Shows I have watched', I realized the files grew to contain their contents. The cards were packed tightly, and yet after two or three yards, I hadn't found the end of the file. I shut it, shamed, not so much by the quality of shows but more by the vast time I knew that file represented.

When I came to a file marked 'Lustful Thoughts,' I felt a chill run through my body. I pulled the file out only an inch, not willing to test its size and drew out a card. I shuddered at its detailed content.

I felt sick to think t hat such a moment had been recorded. An almost animal rage broke on me. One thought dominated my mind: No one must ever see these cards! No one must ever see this room! I have to destroy them!' In insane frenzy I yanked the file out. Its size didn't matter now. I had to empty it and burn the cards. But as I took it at one end and began pounding it on the floor, I could not dislodge a single card. I became desperate and pulled out a card, only to find it as strong as steel when I tried to tear it.

Defeated and utterly helpless, I returned the file to its slot. Leaning my forehead against the wall, I let out a long , self-pitying sigh.

And then I saw it.. The title bore 'People I Have Shared the Gospel With.' The handle was brighter than those around it, newer, almost unused. I pulled on its handle and a small box not more than three inches long fell into my hands. I could count the cards it contained on one hand.

And then the tears came. I began to weep. Sobs so deep that they hurt. They started in my stomach and shook through me. I fell on my knees and cried. I cried out of shame, from the overwhelming shame of it all. The rows of file shelves swirled in my tear-filled eyes. No one must ever, ever know of this room. I must lock it up and hide the key. But then as I pushed away the tears, I saw Him.

No, please not Him. Not here. Oh, anyone but Jesus. I watched helplessly as He began to open the files and read the cards. I couldn't bear to watch His response. And in the moments I could bring myself to look at His face, I saw a sorrow deeper than my own.

He seemed to intuitively go to the worst boxes. Why did He have to read everyone? Finally He turned and looked at me from across the room. He looked at me with pity in His eyes. But this was a pity that didn't anger me. I dropped my head, covered my face with my hands and began to cry again. He walked over and put His arm around me. He could have said so many things. But He didn't say a word. He just cried with me.

Then He got up and walked back to the wall of files. Starting at one end of the room, He took out a file and, one by one, began to sign His name over mine on each card. 'No!' I shouted rushing to Him. All I could find to say was 'No, no,' as I pulled the card from Him. His name shouldn't be on these cards. But there it was, written in red so rich, so dark, so alive. The name of Jesus covered mine. It was written with His blood. He gently took the card back. He smiled a sad smile and began to sign the cards. I don't think I'll ever understand how He did it so quickly, but the next instant it seemed I heard Him close the last file and walk back to my side.

He placed His hand on my shoulder and said, 'It is finished.' I stood up, and He led me out of the room. There was no lock on its door. There were still cards to be written..

'I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.'-Phil. 4:13 'For God so loved the world that He gave His only son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.' - John 3:16

If you feel the same way forward it so the love of Jesus will touch their lives also. My 'People I shared the gospel with' file just got bigger, how about yours?

Questions

1. Did you read the story?

2. What did you think of it?

3. What are your views on Christianity?

My Answers

1. yes

2. I love this story, it convicts me, makes me cry, and makes me think of how I live my life.

3. I know that Jesus loves me, came to earth to die for me, and I'm gonna be going to heaven when I die.

   Yay for Movie Marathons!!! XD

YIPEEEE!!! XD I'm at my best friend's house right now, and we're at our bathroom break in our movie marathon. Last night we went to youth group and hung out at the Baptist Church with a lot of our friends! It was so much fun. It was sports night, so we played a lot of games (including a rather violent and fun version of cops and robbers! I've got bruises all over me from it! XD)

OK, so last night, my friend and I went to the movie rental place and got a wack of movies, and now we're trying to watch them all. So far we've watched "Pan's Labyrinth" (my favorite movie!) "Shrek the 3rd" (a big dissappointment for me... TT_TT) and "Van Hellsing" (so corny it was funny! XD)

Right now we're watching "Blood Diamond" (another really good movie) and then we're gonna watch "Meet the Robinsons" and "The Exorcism of Emily Rose"! XD Can't wait! XD

Questions

1. Have you seen any of these movies?

2. What sort of movies do you preffer?

3. Why?

My Answers

2. Action, Fantasy, or Horror! XD

3. They give me chills! XD

   Pushing bush... *barfs*

I now officially have another least favorite past-time! Besides school, I can now add pushing bush to the list!

OK, so let me start at the beginning! This morning was OK, I woke up around 10 to find a deer carcus hanging outside my window from the crane so the coyotes couldn't get it... o.O Yup, it kinda freaked me out, aspeccially since it was all skinned and gutted, so it was dripping blood... OK, to change the subject...

So, my cousin and I got upstairs and cleaned the kitchen, then I made lunch (deer stir fry and fried rice)

As soon as we finished eating, my uncle said that since today was the last day of hunting season, we were all going to go push bush until they got a deer.

If you don't know what pushing bush is, here it is...

Pushing bush is when a group of people spread out over the edge of a bush, then start walking through the bush in a serpantine fashion to force the deer out. The hunters wait on the other side of the bush to shoot the deer.

OK, so to start with, it's FREEZING COLD out!!! I'm serious, near the end of one bush, I had about an inch of hoar frost on my eyelashes! Also, my gloves and scarf froze stiff, as well as my sleeves! o.O

I finally got home just now, and my legs, arms, hands and cheeks are NUMB!!! Ayiyiyiyiyiyi!!!

Questions

1. Have you ever hunted or pushed bush before?

2. What are your views on hunting?

3. What are you doing tonight?

My Answers

1. Never hunted, but I have pushed bush...

2. to me, hunting is a sport and a way for food. (Yay deer jerkey! XD)

3. Going to youth group, then I'm sleeping over at my best friend's house since it's her birthday! XD YAY!

This weekend is gonna be FUN!!! XD

Boy oh boy! I just can't wait till tomorrow!!! XD YAY! We get Friday off! And it's my best friend's birthday tomorrow! So we're gonna have a sleepover Friday night, and we're planning to watch movies till we barf!!! XD

Today was an average boring day. In art we're starting a new project! It's a mixed media, and we're supposed to do something on social problems... (racism, animal rights, etc.) I'm planning to do something on freedom of religion. It's supposed to have lots of blood and gore (sequences from the spanish inquisition, the crusades, and the holocaust.) Though I'm starting to think I want to do it more on racism or child labour, etc.

In Science, we've finished with Biology and are moving onto Physics *leans over and barfs* I HATE Physics!!! It's all math! I hate math too! Today was OK, since I had already learned what they were teaching. However, I was the only one who had ever learned it, so I had to help out some people to understand it. Oh well, that's how life is I guess... TT_TT

In Foods, we got to eat lasagnea, caesar salad, and garlic toast! XD It was so yummy! *rubs belly and purrs*

On the bus, one girl who sits behind me (not exactly all there... if you know what I mean?) Started singing to her ipod, and I mean LITERALLY KILLING the songs. I felt actual physical pain listening to her... TT_TT *poor songs*

Questions

1. What song have you liked that someone has ruined for you?

2. Do you take art class?

3. Do you paint?

My Answers

1. Blue, by Eiffel 65

2. Yes

3. Yup, it's so much fun! XD

I'll never eat sour cream ever again!!!
OK, since a lot happened today, I'm gonna start at the beginning and go to the end... in order... so that I don't get messed up and forget something.

OK, so the morning is like any average Monday... I wake up late, barely catch the bus, and as chance would have it, it snowed last night! That would have been a good thing, except that living in Kenya for 4 years without access to snow sure softens you! So I'm literally freezing my arse off, and of course the bus doesn't have proper heating... XP

OK, I get to school, Social Studies is first class, and it was an exam today (which I totally forgot to study for over the weekend) so I was cramming between bells, though I think I actually did pretty good! XD

In art, I finally finished my painting! XD So I had to take it outside in the snow to put a layer of varnish on it, so I'm out there in the snow and wind, holding a wet painting and waiting for someone to come and open the door for me, since I can't set down the painting to open it. I was actually waiting there for about 10 minutes! I don't think I've ever been that cold before! XP

Sooo... at lunch break I got some more pictures scanned, (about 6 maybe) so I'm gonna try putting them into my portfolio. Next period was Science, so we were dissecting a frog. OK, now I normally OK with dissections (I actually excel in them!) But today was NOT GOOD at all!!! OK, first, the frogs weren't stored in the normal solution... no, this was some sour smelling solution, and boy it STUNK!!! XP I honestly almost barfed, and as chance would have it, next period in foods, we're making perrogies. (spelling?) I normally LOVE perrogies, but these were NASTY! Something in them made them smell and taste EXACTLY like the solution that the frogs were stored in in science... so I barfed... yeah... XP

OK, to get that out of the way, school finally ended, I got home, and now here I am... that was my day!

Questions

1. What's your favorite ethnic food?

2. What are you listening to right now?

3. What's the most interesting feature in the room you're in?

My Answers

1. Ethiopian!!! XD

2. "Everytime We Touch" by Cascada! XD

3. The undecorated Christmas tree in the corner of the room...

   Cool...

Yesterday was youth group, so we went to this guys house to watch a movie (Casino Royale). Honestly, this guy has the awesomest house EVER!!! I actually only just finished watching "Pan's Labyrinth" and I must say that it is now one of my favorite movies! XD I highly reccomend it to anyone who likes high fantasy!!!

It's school again tomorrow... *sighs* the cycle just won't end! It's maddening how repetative my day is, all the time!

My mom gets here on the 16th of December, so we're making plans to stick to each other the whole time!!! XD It's gonna be awesome! I'm so excited to see her and giver her her Christmas present, cuz I know she'll like it! I got her 2 movies; "the Passion" and "the Nativity Story"! I can't wait to see her face when she opens it!!! XD

Questions

1. Have you bought any presents yet?

2. What are your top 5 favorite movies?

3. What is the basic cycle of your day? (if you have any...)

My Answers

1. Yep... but not many... I've still got a ways to go... TT_TT

2. Pan's Labyrinth, Kingdom of Heaven, The Illusionist, Step Up, and 6th Sense! (among many more!)

3. I get up, get ready for school, have a piece of toast, barely catch the bus, go through school (spending my lunches in the computer lab in order to read manga online) finish school, get on the bus, go home and update my site! Then I go to bed... and it's like that almost EVERY day!!! TT_TT

   WOAH! Savage Saturday!

OK, so this morning my aunty wakes me and my cousin up around 10:00 am, and tells us what work she wants us to do... sooo... my cousin got stuck in the shop working, and I got stuck in the house vacuuming, doing laundry, setting up the tree, changing sheets, etc, etc...

The day's been busy, but I have this feeling of a job well done! XD

Oh yeah, I've finally gotten my artwork fixed properly, so to those of you who've seen my most recent fan art, please check it out again soon, cuz it should look even better soon! XD
