I finally got to work on more of my drawing today. I’ve been working on and off with this thing for a few weeks now and I finally got the basic sketch done. Many people ask me to teach them how to draw and this is something that’s nearly impossible to teach someone over the internet. I thought I’d share with you guys the sketch that I have done so far for my latest drawing of D.N.Angel to sorta show you how I work when doing these things. Keep in mind I’ve already cleaned up most of the lines to it’s pretty clean-cut at this point:

I know what most of you are thinking “THEY AREN’T WEARING ANY CLOTHES!!” Very good! *hands you cookies* This is almost always how I sketch my characters. Why? Because once you get a poportional body in there, the clothes will be total cake. It’s easier to see where the wrinkles will fold and such once you know what the body looks like underneath. And I know I’m not the only one to do it this was. While reading a manga once, the artist said that they always draw the characters in naked first and then put clothes on. So, Dark and Daisuke WILL be clothed in the final piece and it’s not like I’m a little perv who draws them with little pee pee’s before I clothe them…then again, a naked Yuki...^_^ I actually didn’t decide to put in Dark’s wings till the very last moment and I’m glad I did because I think it ads to the piece as a whole. It’s going to be a total biotch to color in though so I’m sure I’ll be hitting myself later for making things harder on myself:-P

Anywho, I’ll shut-up now. Ok…it’s midnight and I just heard the ice cream man drive by…wtf? Something eerie about hearing the tune Farmer in the Dell going down the street at midnight….

Oh, last night I watched some of that anime I was talking about that I couldn't remember the name of. I thought it was 'Love something-er-other' but it's actually 'His and Her Circumstance.' *smacks forehead* Where was I getting 'love' from? Well, I watched the 1st episode and I already love it! It's very visually fun to watch and it's funny, and dramatic, and there's a nice romance budding too. Oh man!!

I got to see that new movie 'Kingdom of Heaven' today and it was flippin' awesome!! I mean, I honestly wasn't expecting it to be all that good but the whole time I was sitting there I was like: "wooooooooooow." At one point my friend even turned to me and said "Isn't this movie awesome?" I was pleasently surprised at my little ex-Elf Orlando Bloom too. He did a fairly nice job and fit into the role quite well. I hope he's on his hands and knees kissing Peter Jackson's(the director of Lord of the Rings) feet considering that was Orlando's 1st movie and it was that role that brought him instant stardom. The music was amazing in the movie too so I'm actually going to BUY the soundtrack. I haven't bought a CD in ages...er, I mean...not like I ever download music illegally or anything...*shifty eyes*

Why were some people so shocked I wear contacts? I've had them since I was in 7th grade actually. I never wear my glasses unless I'm about to hop into bed. Yeah, I had the purple contacts back when I was in high school and then beginning of college I had green ones that made them SUPER green. I stopped wearing them because colored contacts are bigger then regular ones and they made my eyes feel dry quicker. Now I have the disposable ones you throw away every 2 months^_^

I did absolutely nothing today.
Well, I did go grocery shopping since I've been out of food for the past week. My stomach has been eating itself for awhile and finally my brain told me..."Hey you, why don't you go eat something." I think that's part of the reason why I've been out of it during finals week. Feh!

I played Soul Calibur 2 though today because I felt like kicking some ass! I love being Link from Legend of Zelda in that game! My friends call him the "cheap character" because he has so many moves that it's easy to kill people. Anyone who's played this game notice how sexual the super grab moves are? Like one with Link involves him rolling across the platform with the other character, straddling them and then punching them in the face with the butt of the sword. OUCH!! Then again having Link straddle me...no, that's really dirty, forget I mentioned that:-P But all their moves are like that! *snicker* I also finally played my Lord of the Rings: The Third Age game. I say finally because I've had this game since christmas and have yet to play it! But I did today and it's awesome! Combine Lord of the Rings with Final Fantasy and you have what this game is. I love RPGames!

Anywho, nothing else to say except my contacts are killing me so I'm going to take them out. It's been 2 months so it's time to swap them with a new pair! YAY new contact lens day!! I used to have contacts that made my eyes purple and I loved how people would *STARE* at me when I wore them because you knew what they were thinking: "Are those contacts?" Teehee! I should get them again so I can have Yuki eyes!^_^
Pretty Eyes!!!

And a random Inuyasha/Miroku piccy:

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention I submitted a new wallpaper yesterday collaging a few of my fave Tohru/Yuki moments from the manga: Linky!

Guess what I learned yesterday?
The whole concept of bottled water being healthier and tasting better the tap water is bologna. I always thought it was idiotic for people to PAY for freakin' water to begin with but then watching 20/20 last night it just confirmed my belief. They sent samples from all types of famous brand-name waters like Evion, Aquafina, Desani, etc, and they sent a sample of tap water from NYC to a lab to be tested. They ALL came back EXACTLY the same! There is no more or less germs, bacteria, whatever in tap water then bottled. And then they performed taste tests with a big group of people and basically the outcome was the same. They did this test twice with 2 groups of people judging 5 brand-name waters and NYC tap water. The 1st test, the NYC water got 3rd and the other group it got 1st! I thought it was hilarious^_^

Hey, you guys like my new background thingies? I felt like swapping things around because...I felt like it! *munches Spicy Nacho Doritoes*

My friends dragged me to China Town today...yeah, it took *so* much effort:-P I got a Naruto chokey and it's silver and it's the symbol that's found on their headbands...anyone know what that symbol means? I haven't gotten that far and I'm not sure if I learned it. I got Fruits Basket playing cards even though I don't play cards but they're full of such amazing pictures some I haven't seen and I got a Full Metal Alchemist and Naruto/Sasuke poster, I got a Sasuke keychain and last but not least a new DVD! I can't remember what it is at the moment but it's 'Love something-er-other' and my guy friend was telling me that it's one of the few romances that he actually enjoyed. And he has got good taste in anime so I listened!^_^ I'll keep you posted when I find out what it's called because I can't read the case since it's all...in Japanese!

*SCREECH!* I love love love love love love love love LOVEY LOVE LOVE this picture of Yuki!!! I just want to glomp and cuddle him to death!

I got my paper done for Black Literature and now this means that I'm officially done with school. It's so freakin' weird! All my life I've been going from one grade to the next and always going to classes and stuff and now...that's it! I'm done with college and there's no more classes! And thanks for all the congratulations too! I really appreciate it because I'm not expecting anything of that nature from my parents so it's nice to know that someone out there is proud of me.

You know when you're reading a book(or manga for most of you folks out there) and you come across a quote or section that just gets to you? Well, for my Black Literature class one of the books we had to read is called 'The Color Purple' and it's a wonderful book and cleverly written and there's a passage I really enjoyed. Trust me, it's not as long as you think and the way I'm spelling it and such is EXACTLY how it is in the book. This is on the concept of religion but I don't think people will find it offensive. When I read this I was like...oh my gawrsh! This is how I feel! And just so you know, they refer to God as "it." So c'mon people culturize yourselves a little out of your anime world:

"Listen, God love everything you love-and a mess of stuff you don't. But more than anything else, God love admiration."
"You saying God vain?" I ast.
"Naw," she say. "Not vain, just wanting to share a good thing. I think it pisses God off if you walk by the color purple in a field somewhere and don't notice it."
"What it do when it pissed off?" I ast.
"Oh, it make something else. People think pleasing God is all God care about. But any fool living in the world can see it always trying to please us back."
"Yeah?" I say.
"Yeah," she say. "It always making little surprises and springing them on us when us least expect."
"You mean it want to be loved, just like the bible say."
"Yes, Celie," she say. "Everthing want to be loved. Us sing and dance, and make faces and give flower bouquets, trying to be loved. You ever notice that trees do everything to git attention we do, except walk?"

I just found this passage so moving and I don't know why! Probably because I'm extremely unreligious and therefore, don't know myself if I believe in God but the way I've lived my life, is to notice the little things that make life enjoyable as opposed to caring what God thinks. But everyone is entitled to their own beliefs and I always listen to those who are religious so please don't bash me for my beliefs. That's just how I feel and seriously, I am NOT trying to offend anyone!!

I watched a bunch of Fruits Basket today to celebrate the fact I'm done with school work and I'm again reminded why this anime/manga is so freakin' incredible. There's a new anime quote of the week too in case you didn't notice. I think I mainly like FB is because all these characters have different problems but for some reason, they still hold onto hope and the idea that there is still something in this world worth living for. Boy, I'm so poetic today!^_^

Oh yeah, sorry folks I forgot to mention that yes, Ed's Japanese voice is done by a woman. Crazy, huh? Actually not really since it's quite common for women to due the voices of young guys in Japanese animes. Al's voice is also done by a girl. If you missed it, in yesterday's post I have a sound clip of Ed's voice. I saw FMA once in English and I honestly don't remember what their voices sound like so I can't really compare the two although I remember them not being too bad.^_^

I had my final in Philosophy today and I think I did very well. We just had to talk about the concept of "right and wrong" and if it's something we're taught or if it's instinct. We also had to compare it to the philosophical reasonings of Aristotle, Plato, Hume, and Kant. The only thing I have left to do now is write a 7 page paper for Black Literature and then I'm done...forever! I'm graduating college! AHHH!! I'm so freakin' freaked out.

Ever get the feeling you're being watched? Well, I was riding the subway today and reading a book and I got that feeling. So, I look up and there was like 5 people looking at me! I usually am not all that weirded out because people tend to look at each other when riding the subway since there's nothing better to do but this was a whole group of people. So, I just go back to my book and then I get off at my stop. Well, this group of people get off the same stop I do(it was 3 boys and 2 girl in case you were wondering) and I get to the top of the stairs to the outside and one of the guys tap me on the shoulder and asks "Can we get a picture with you?" What the heck? I was like..."Oh sure, no problem." So I pose with these people and they say thank you and then they leave. You know what's funny is this is the 2nd time this has happened to me! The other time was also when waiting for a train at the subway and these 2 German guys asked me to pose with them. I have no idea why. I'm wondering if they think I look like someone or something? I wonder if I'm getting the Homer Simpson treatment where there's a logo that looks like me in another country and they wanted to show all their buds.

Ha! I'm watching an infomercial right now and man, this guy is going on about this vacuum cleaner like he invented the lightbulb. Anywho, I found this fan art on DeviantArt and I thought it was really beautiful and thought I'd share. The artist's name is YanaGoya:

Yeah, it's yaoish but I just love the coloring and the technique used to do it. Look at Sesshoumaru's hair! It looks awesome and I'm usually not a big fan of CG rendered stuff!

Yuki is mimicing about how I feel right now. Totally exhausted and ready to plop anywhere and sleep. I wont torture all of you and go through all the stuff I've had to do this past week with finals but it's been total hell.

Ha! I thought it was hilarious how many people mentioned on my last post how much they wanted to hear what Ed's Japanese voice from Full Metal Alchemist sounded like...one person said it was their dying wish. *snicker* You people are crazy. Anywho, I aim to please, so I ripped a scene off my DVD and made a cute wittle sound clip for you guys so you can hear what his original voice sounds like. I know some wont be able to hear it because you need Windows Media Player. This is a scene from episode 2 where Ed's in a church talking to the girl Rosa and he's reading off a list of ingredients that make up the human body. He then goes on after Rosa asks "Nani?" Which means "what" or "what are you talking about." Anywho, here's Ed's original Japanese voice so enjoy:
"

He was in a church at that scene so it sounds a little echoey plus the quality isn't amazing since I wanted to keep the file small^_^

You know what's been annoying me lately? The fact that people are starting to use, what I call, the "Instant Messenger slang" in everyday use. I got an e-mail the other day(not from anyone on myO) but here's a small part of their actual e-mail: "NEway I hav a ? 4 u. Can u hlp?" What the freakin' crap is that?! I was actually offended by this! They're asking me for help and aren't going to type in proper english to me? Feh! That new one that I've been seeing everywhere lately: "NEway." Ok people, honestly, is it REALLY that much of a challenge to add that one extra letter in there to make it correct? I remember when I first read that but it was just "NE" I was like...what the hell are they talking about? North East? Northern Europe? What? Are people becoming that lazy when they type to one another? Some I can understand like, "LOL" or "WTF" and I admit when I type to people I'll say things like "k" or "nuttin'" but I say those because it mimics the way I would say it when I'm talking. Sheesh!! I need to take a chill pill. *sips Pepsi vanilla*

Yeah, my computer is still acting up and it's trying to tell me that I don't have a DVD or CD player now. Hmmmm...yeah, sorry computer, I'm looking at them and guess what? They're there!! You can't fool me you piece of crap!! I have a Compaq computer but I've started calling it a Comcrap. I've also not turned it off in the past week because everytime I do turn it off, it doesn't want to start up again! It takes me about 20+ tries before it slowly gets its lazy butt into gear. Here, yet again Yuki mimics perfectly the look of rage in my eyes as I glare at my Comcrap:

Everyone please join me in the glaring of my computer. *GLARE*

Thank you everyone^_^

The last couple days have been simply craptastic. Late afternoon Friday, my computer took it upon itself to shoot itself in the face and crash and not re-boot. I had a flippin heart attack because ALL my projects for the semester are on my computer and they're all due next week for the final grades. I had some of my projects saved on a CD but not the recent ones. Long story short, I took my computer to an on-campus computer place, they managed to save most of the files on my hardrive, they had to wipe my computer completely out and re-install everything. The guy working there was such a sweetie because the computer place closes at 5:30PM and he stayed there till 9:30PM so my computer would be fixed for the weekend. I know say it with me...Awwwww! So all last night and today I've been working on getting all my programs back on my computer only to have to re-start my computer for the updates and my freakin' computer wouldn't start up again!! ARGH!! After like 13 tries I finally get it booted up but now it's acting really funky so I'm totally not trusting it and I have 3 projects due next week. *sniff*

I did manage to watch the 1st 2 episodes off my Full Metal Alchemist DVDs today before my computer crashed. I'm very impressed with it so far! It's got an interesting story, the animation is good, the characters are awesome, and I LOVE their voices..in the Japanese version. I haven't seen the dubbed one. I heard that Ed's voice is done by a girl? In the Japanese version I mean? I think I can sorta hear it but it's like Kenshin's voice where you really can't tell unless you stuggle.

This is so great! Especially for those Lord of the Rings/Elves fans:

TOP TEN REJECTED ELF PICKUP LINES

From the home office somewhere on the outskirts of Rivendell

10. Is that a longbow in your pocket, or are you just happy to see me?

9. There's a reason why they stopped calling us "The Little People".

8. You know what they say about guys with long, pointy ears.... they have long, pointy---earmuffs.

7. I'm an excellent shot. I *always* hit what I aim for.

6. 2500 years is not *that* much of an age difference!

5. Nice tunic! It would look great on the floor by my bed.

4. My treehouse or yours?

3. Your eyes are as green as the moss that grows on rotting trees.

2. Do you have Elf in you? Would you like to?

1. I've mastered the "Elvish Tongue"... Want a demonstration?

Ok, my fellow Fruits Basket fans there is a strong support group being run by funimation(the producers of Fruba) to get the
creators of it in Japan to bring a 2nd season of Fruba to life!! Seeing as how the mangas continue far past what we saw in the 1st season and because Fruba is on the rise in popularity they think it's only wise to make a 2nd season to provide the true conclusion that the manga's show. Here's a link to the article about it if you're interested in learning more: Clicky!

I got my Full Metal Alchemist series in the mail today!! YAY!!! It's perfect timing seeing as how Thursday is my last day of classes and I have Fridays off! I'm going to be entertaining myself for quite some time^_^

So I was watching T.V. today and saw this commercial for the new horror movie coming out, 'House of Wax.' I saw it and was thinking to myself "hey this actually looks pretty freaky maybe I'll go and see it!" That was until I saw something that made me disregard the entire thing. What was it you ask? Let me sum it up for you in two words: Paris Hilton. She's starring in that movie!!! What the frick? Since when can she act?! Ack! No thank you to that.

*SCREECH!* Ain't it cute?!

*YAWN* Me so tired. Me want sleep. Me want to smash something. Heehee! I just had an idiotic ogre/Incredible Hulk moment there. LINDSEY SMASH!! ROAR!!

I had my illustration class this morning and the teacher really liked me Thumbelina drawings!! YAY!! He thought my style was excellent and that I'll do great as a career in book designs/covers and/or children's books too which is something that I've been wanting to do. I'm glad that you guys liked the thumbies and that I put up the other day and I did finish the one at 4:30AM before class:

You know how I told you guys I used myself as the reference for this one? Well, I hung it up and the teacher looks at it, looks at me, looks back at the drawing, then to me again and says: "This is you, isn't it?" AH!! I didn't think anyone would notice!! Oh well, I didn't think it looked that much like me but then again, most people when they see pictures of themselves say "do I really look like that?" Well, my hair isn't curly!! So at least that much doesn't look like me:-P

It started thunderstorming as I was walking to my black literature class but had sorta stopped and then, we were in class and the teacher asks, "Are you all ready for next week's final exam?" And, like it was on cue, a HUGE clap of thunder roars in. LOL! It was so corn-ball horror/sci-fi movie. We all thought it was quite humorous plus, that clap of thunder made all the car alarms on the street start going off^_^

*snicker* I know I posted this caption awhile ago, but I found it again when browsing through my pictures and thought it deserved a 2nd time around:

MMMMmmmmm....yeah. I agree with Kagome^_^
