Longish post ahead, with lotsa piccies, so it may take a while to load.
Hey folks. I got piccies for ya! I got some piccies from Lake District AND I also got some piccies from when I went a wandering through London on my day off yesterday.

Firstly though, I would like to say that my Fan Manga is up and available for viewing. To see it, click on my Portfolio (link to the left) and click on fan manga. It’s the only piece I have up at the moment. Its titled “Gundam Scroll”. I hope you enjoy. Give feedback people! ^^

Yesterday was Shrove Tuesday (a.k.a Mardi Gras or “Fat Tuesday”) which marks the beginning of Lent. I’ve decided to give up answering telephones for Lent. It will make my life so much more peaceful and less stressful. What are YOU giving up for Lent? Of course, it being Shrove Tuesday, it meant it was Pancake Day!! w00t!! Pancakes!!! Yum!! (british pancakes, ahthankyou, not those crazy American breakfast things)

T’otherwise, nothing much is going on. ^^

PICCIE TIME! If ya don’t have time for piccies, then skip to the end where I have a collection of One Liners from last years Edinburgh Festival.

H’okay, so this is how this is gonna work. Basically I didn’t masses of pictures from the Lake District, and the ones I do have pretty much all look pretty similar, that is to say, lotsa hills, lotsa lakes. So what I'm gonna do is post the link to my photobucket site below and if ya wanna look through all of them, you are more then welcome to. What I will do, however, is post some of my favourite pictures and put some explanation to them.
Normal easter eggs apply…hover cursor over picture for Alt Text.

http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v247/darkeangel/Lake%20District/?start=all

We only spent a week in the Lake District and there isn’t a whole lot to do up there, but on one day we went to this Illusions place, kinda like Ripley’s Believe it or Not, but with mostly optical illusions. There was this great illusion where…well look for yaselves:

hmmm…an intriguing phenomenon

My lil bro defies gravity!! As do i!

in your face gravity!

And my mother too!

as you may have gathered, we liked this illsion...

One of the other days we went to Dove Cottage where the poet William Wordsworth lived.

It was really small…I'm glad I wasn’t alive back then…

Woopdedoo! I hear you yell. Yeah, I thought so too. But I do like his poetry, especially the famous poem “I wandered Lonely as a Cloud” (a.k.a Daffodil)

“I Wandered lonely as a cloud
That floats on high o'er vales and hills,
When all at once I saw a crowd,
A host, of golden daffodils;
Beside the lake, beneath the trees,
Fluttering and dancing in the breeze.”

Theres more to it, but that’s the famous bit.

The local town to where we were staying was called Keswick, which was small and kinda charming really. There was a huge bakery there where we had tea and scones a couple of times (yum) and TONNES of shops selling Outdoor Gear stuff like walking boots and trekking poles and rucksacks and tents and stuff like that.
Anyhoo, there was this great lil cinema there.

ONE screen people…doing it old school.

The place we were staying in was this great lil cottage.

Not very big, but very cosy

And we next to a huge lake called Derwent Water, which we sorta half walked around one day.

This is from up the top of a hill we walked up another day. You can see Keswick in the BG

it was very blue

And the cottage was halfway up a range of small peaks called CatsBells
The Lake District has some funny names of stuff

We actually climbed Catsbells one day, and saw some great sights, but I’ll leave you to have a look for them in my photobucket account. I’ll give ya a small teaser…

it seems really high, but its still not technically a mountain

Here’s a couple more pics of some sights I really liked.

I took this just before we left to come home. It was sunny (for the second time in the whole week)

Mist sitting in the Valley. I thought it was cool.

To get to the cottage there was this narrow trackway that ran around the lake and part the way up CatsBells. And everyday we drove down there we passed this house, which I was obsessed with.

wouldn’t it be totally awesome to have a house like this? I think so

I don’t know why, but I love this house, secluded by the lake, with its own little boat house as well! The whole thing reminds me of Old Home from Haibane Renmei for some reason. That’s probably why I like it so much.

And yeah. So that was pretty much all of what we did in the Lake District…walked high and far and went places if we could find them. We also went to a Cars of the Stars Museum, which was kinda pokey and disappointing…the cars were really cool and genuine but we weren’t allowed to take photos! And we also went to the Pencil Museum.

*tumbleweed*

Yah, I'm not kidding. It was hella boring, but I did take the opportunity to stock up on art supplies. ^^ and we also went to this Beatrix Potter thing which was kinda cool. ^^ oh and on the last day we went to this place called “The Chocolate House” which was a combined Chocolate shop and restaurant. They had TONNES of different chocolate drinks and cakes to choose from. ^^ I really enjoyed it there (but again, SO SMALL! I AM A TALL PERSON! WHY DID THEY NOT BUILD HOUSES FOR 6’ 2’’ PEOPLE BACK IN THE 17TH CENTURY???!!!!)

I also did my incredibly lame and poorly drawn Holiday Comics whilst I was away and I’ll probably post a link to them once I scan and edit em a bit. So if ya really wanna know what I got up to whilst I was away, you should read em (if you can make out the words).

Anyhoo, that’s the photos from the Lake District from last week.

AND NOW!

More photos.

Yesterday I had the day off work, and I couldn’t be bothered to sit around the house and do nothing so I decided to go up to London and do some sight seeing. I have a bit of an interest in architecture and building design, especially in cities like London. So I wandered up and when I saw something I liked, I took a picture of it.

Do you have a street named after you?

I had to include this. ^^ Weston Street…named after my family of course….

there was this funky monument thing in the middle, but I didn’t get a picture of it

This used to be one of the hundreds of docks in Londons South Bank between buildings, but has been regenerated into this rather funky atrium.

Tower Bridge in the BG

Ladies and Gentlemen: Her Majesties Ship Belfast.

I saw a lot of schools on field trips on my journey

The Globe Theatre, Shakespeare’s performance area of choice. This is the new one, the original was demolished or burnt down or something…

This used to be a Power Station but was converted quite happily into a large art gallery.

This is the Tate Modern, a HUGE art gallery on the South Bank. The Turbine Hall, which is the centre space, is over 6 storeys tall.

Whee!

Inside the Turbine Hall was this Installation of a bunch of slides. The point of the whole thing is to be able to watch people go down the slides, and to have a go yourself, and the experiences you have whilst doing this is the “Art” rather then the slides themselves. I didn’t have a go, but only cuz I had a rucksack with me and I was wearing my full length leather coat. I also wandered around the rest of the Tate Modern, which has lots of “Modern Art” in it, but I wasn’t allowed to take pictures in the galleries. It was free admission though, which was pretty good. ^^

also known as the Wobbly Bridge due to its unstable nature when it was first opened.

The Millenium Bridge and beyond it, St Paul’s Cathedral.

it always cracks me up that you Americans wanted to buy Tower Bridge but asked for London Bridge by mistake.

On the Millenium Bridge looking eastwards towards Tower Bridge

I normally go to Charing Cross, but today I got off at London Bridge

Charing Cross station and looking west down the river

This is one of the biggest towers in London

Centre Point tower, where my Dad USED to work, but he’s got a new job which he started yesterday where he’s based in Leicester Square, which is sort of a shame, cuz I liked Centre Point. Also, Forbidden Comics and Orbital Comics are just below Centre Point. I had a long way to walk to get to my comics yesterday!

still on the bridge…

St Pauls Cathedral, which is HUGE!

impressive, ne?

This is the entrance to St Pauls. I was gonna go in, but it cost like TEN QUID (10 GB Pounds = approx 18 US Dollars) to get in, so i decided against it. (what I actually said was “holy shit that’s expensive…oh wait, I just blasphemed in the House of God…sorry!”)

gardens? In London City!?

Some rather nice houses and gardens in the middle of London.

These last few pics are of a certain building that I always see from the train whenever I go up to London, and I’ve always wanted to go and see it.

you can actually see inside the large windows, its really cool!

its kinda dirty from this side, but on a sunny day and from the side I see on the train, it looks stunning.

This is actually right next door to the Tate Modern, and just off the river. So ergo, its hella expensive apartments.

This is the side I see from the train, albeit from a slightly lower angle than normal…

I want to live here someday. In the yellow bit.

And that’s it from me today. Sorry it’s a bit long winded and there are tonnes of pictures to go through. If you actually sat there and read ALL of that, AND looked at all the pictures AND looked at the alt text AND checked out my manga, consider yourself Darke’s INDUSTRIAL STRENGTH bestest best friend of the day. ^^ if not, consider yourself a regular Darke’s best friend. And y’all can have a cookie and skittle of your choice.

Well, I shall see y’all later. Hopefully I’ll update at the weekend, but I got to work Saturday afternoon/evening and Sunday morning, so I probably wont have time to write up a post. ^^;

See y’all!

"Tak Care: sheep ont road" - a sign in the lake district...

Guess i was wrong...
so much for "last snow of 2007" from that one post a couple of weeks back. its been snowing again...and actually snowing as i write this. thats gonna be fun trying to get to work...but we'll be fine. Luna is used to snow...

i wish i had a friend nearby to go and play in the snow with... *shrugs* oh well... *looks around* what? just cuz im 20 years old, doesnt mean i stopped liking to play in the snow. ;p

sorry i didnt update yesterday guys. i was kinda busy...well, i was on an early shift and i wasnt with it enough to write up a post on tuesday night.

man, some major stuff is going down with TheO, dontcha think? this AnimeFF stuff is pretty serious. im pretty powerless to help myself, but if any of you guys got anything to contribute to the current..."crisis" for lack of a better word... then please do. this affects us all here on MyO.

uhm, really i haven't got anything to say. again. my life has been mostly work. i got a lot of PMs last night, which was nice. ^^ specially from Vamp, cuz i havnt heard from her in a while.

oh yeah, remember that conjoined twin character i drew and posted on D.A a while back? its been surprisingly popular...i didnt quite realise there was a fetish for this sort of thing... ^^;;;;

next week (from this Saturday) i will be on a short break for a week. Im going up to the Lake District, so i will effectively be offline for a whole week from saturday, but also, i wont be posting again till i get back, so this is my last post for a while, k? dont have too much fun without me guys!

anyways, thats it from me today. BUT

BUT

BUT!!!

i have got a comic for you guys!!! yayayayayyy1!!
^^ i hope to do a buncha comics and catch up on some art stuffs whilst im away. but i managed to churn out this one for you at great expense...well no, not really...

Darke now glows in the dark....lol

no one likes a pedant. and it is suprisingly hard to draw a person lounging on a couch...

oh, in case any one is wondering, the comedian in the video i posted last time was Billy Connolly. k?

well, hope you enjoyed that. if you did, then my job here has been worthwhile. if you didnt (cuz you're like a UN Nuke inspector or anti-nuke or something) then lighten up, lifes too short to be concerned about such crap...

welp, have a good un. see ya in about a week and a half or so...

uhm hi!
heya folks. sorry i've been really boring rcently. work is being a pain in the prosterior and i havent been able to do any comics or nuthin.

basically all thats happened this week is that i went to a Camp America fair yesterday to get some info and details on Camp America, and i ended up signing myself up for a Life Guarding Course. go figure. but thats cool, cuz then i can go anywhere in america and do lifeguarding stuffs afterwards. *huge grin* XD

afterwards i went into central london. i caught the Tube (underground train) to Covent Garden station. from the platform to street level is a long way, and they recommend you take the lifts (elevators) up, but there was tonnes of people, and i couldnt be arsed to wait, so i took the spiral staircase...all 129 steps of it. ^^ wow, that was some workout...

anyhoo, afterwards i headed into Forbidden Planet (which was PACKED by the way) and perused the shelves for a bit, but to be honest, after finishing so many series recently, i dodnt really have anything i wanted to get. i DID however pick up this nice little gem.
"Mobile Suit Illustrated" which essentially has almost every single Mobile Suit from most of the Gundam Series, both UC and AU. its really weird seeing how Gundam designs have changed over the years, and yet, not changed much at all. its also got some of the MSV and side story Gundam series in it too, like ASTRAY (they have this beautiful CG Gold Frame in it!) and Advance of Zeta (the best pic in there is of the Gundam Hazel Custom, beautifuly rendered...*happy sigh* )

i also picked up the second (and consequently, final) volume of Q.KO-chan manga. its probably the most confusing and pointless manga i have ever read, but i like the artwork and it has robots in it, so i like it....

and i picked up a Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex novel, cuz im suffering from GITS withdrawal symptoms after i finsihed 2nd gig. i haveta wait till Solid State Society comes out. dammit.

and thats pretty much it. ^^;

oh yeah, and i broke it off with blue. but we're still gonna be friends, right nee-chan?

oh well..oh yeah, today im planning on going to see "The Pursuit of Happiness" with my brother. ^^ should be good.

and lastly, to make up of my complete lack of comics and stuff lately...
a video

WARNING: foul language is afoot...

funny guy. ^^

well, so much for no piccies....
heya folks. glad everyone enjoyed my mecha pictures. ^^ sorry to have to do this to ya (especially Shireishou-chan) but i got a whole bunch more piccies today. luckily they are really really small ones, so they should load pretty quick.

but onwards. this week i didnt do much (again). i really gotta pull my finger out and get to do stuff.

like i guessed, the snow pretty much disappeared after the second day. i very much doubt i'll much, if any, again this year.
i made my eva-00 model, but it still needs a few finishing touches. i've almost finished inking my 6 page Gundam manga, so i'll try to upload that soon.

yesterday i was probably the busiest. first off i drove to Swanley to put Luna in for her service. i dropped her off at 9am, and the guy said they should be finished at midday, so i walked into Swanley proper and pulled what i like to call the "Tennessee Manouvre", that is to say, i went in the library and read their books for three hours. i read some quite interesting materials whilst i was there too. ^^

why "Tennessee Manouvre"? well, i was gonna call it the "Chrissy Manouvre" but that sounded dirty, and besides, i know several people from that state who would happily sit and read for a few hours... ^^

anyways, after they had serviced Luna, i picked her up. and DAMN, did i notice the difference. they really tuned her up, and her response times o her breaks and throttle are better then they were before hand. they also cleaned her up and replaced her oil. its a great sensation to ride her. ^^

when i got home i had a package waiting for me. and, shock horror, it wasnt a Gundam model. XD
it was some bits i had ordered off of Motorola to add to Jess-chan, my mobile phone. i got a spare battery, for when the current one dies, and i got some software called "Mobile Tools" which allows me to plug Jess-chan, my phone into Midori, my laptop and do nifty things with the two of them.

Primarily, i bought the software so i could upload the pics from the camera on Jess-chan to Midori so i could show you guys (see below) but all the other stuff is jus as cool. i can download pictures, vidoes and music from one to the other, and edit them so they dont take up too much space, i can use my mobile as a modem (though that costs a hella lot), i can use Midori to send text messages (should i ever want to), i can synchronise dates and phone numbers between the two (dont know if that really means anything)...it great stuff. ^^
i have now edited it so that my phone has Rei Ayanami for a BG picture (ph34r my rei obsession) and even better, my ring tone is now the chorus from "Changin", which is the GetBackers 4th Ending theme. ^^ and whenever i get a text message, the alert tone is the last phrase from "Najica Blitz Tactics" OP theme. that may mean nothing to alot of you, but that is the coolest thing in the world to me. ^^

so yah, i have had a lot of phone with my new toys. XD now i am going to show you the pics i have taken with my phone. some of these are quite old...(alt text rules apply)

Starting at the beginning, these are from when i went to new york in the summer of 2005

CHINATOWN BABY!

a random building in Chinatown, Manhatten. i love Chinatown, it rocks! much better than Londons chinatown.

i believe he was also juggling and breathing fire, but i forget

This was taken at Manhatten's South Street Sea Port. its a man. on a Unicycle. need i say more?

spiderman, spiderman, bigger than a delivery van

okies, the next lot are just some random pics taken throughout 2005 to summer 2006

i love the way i caught the light here

Its my first attempt at a CDD model. Chibi Laura! ^^

Covent Gargen...love it.

This is the large christmas tree they put up for christmas 2005 in Covent Garden. it was very cool.

Where on Earth is Carmen Sandiego?
EDIT: heh, before we start with the post i wrote out last night, i just wanted to show you guys the view i woke up to this morning...

the first (and probably last) snow of 2007

thats gonna be fun having to drive to work in. Global Warming my arse....

anyway, on with the post proper.

Hi folks. Sorry I didn’t update on Sunday. My internets was being evil. But I think I solved the problem, fingers crossed.

BTW, this will be a hella long post with lots of pictures. Just to let ya know. ^^

First off I would like to get this off my chest:

TACHIKOMAS!!!! NOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!! NOT AGAIN!!!!!!

Achem. Sorry. Was watching the last episode of Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex: 2nd Gig the other day.

Not a huge amount has happened since last Wednesday. I’ve been working away, as usual. Its all money, ne?

You know I said I might be taking up Japanese at an adult education thing? Well the class appears to clash with when I might be going to Camp America (if I manage to get a placement that is) and I wanna do the Camp thing more than Japanese…though I still might sit down and learn it some day.

Uhm…I cant think of anything really interesting or significant to speak about today. I watched “The Man who sued God” last week. Billy Connolly. Genius. And uhm…my mum is feeling a bit sick at the mo. They sent her home from work. I think it might have something to do with the fact she’s not stressed and under pressure with college commitments now. It’s the same with my bro. They work so hard they don’t have time to be sick, and when they finally relax, it all catches up on them.

I designed a new character (or should that be characters?) the other day. click HERE to view it.

Yup. I'm weird.

I don’t have a Chibi darke days for you, but I do have some ideas for comics. Again, its finding the time for them amongst everything else I'm doing. I'm also at the moment in the middle of doing a really short 6 page manga for TheO’s Fan Manga hub. I’ve drawn it out. Now I need to ink it, scan it, modify it and submit it. It’s a very short piece from my original Gundam fiction. It’s the prologue to part four of the fiction. ^^

Okies, remember how I said I was gonna show you guys pictures of all the mecha in my room (and subsequent lack of space for new stuff)?

Well, here we are! This is Darke Angels Mecha PhotoBlog (with some other pics thrown in on the side).

Normal stuff applies. Hover the cursor over the image to get a witticism or poignant fact. If ya cannae see the pictures, just imagine Gundams, and you’ll get the gist of it.

Oh, and one more rule: NOBODY MENTION THE WORD “TRANSFORMERS”!!
I like Transformers, and I really wanna see the new film, but it really PISSES ME OFF when people call Gundams “Transformers”. All it does is show that you are ignorant and unworthy of my l337 mecha-ness.

Anyhoo, on with the blog.
Key: LM= Limited Model
HG= High Grade
MG= Master Grade
HCM PRO= High Complete Progressive action figure

Basically I'm gonna go round my room, starting at my door and going round clockwise.

I have been looking for these HG Eva’s for ages, so was absolutely thrilled to see that my fav Gundam website had got some in

Evangelion Unit 02 (production model) from “Neon Genesis Evangelion” (LM HG). This is my latest model.

If ya wanna get technical, this is a transformer, cuz it transforms from mobile suit to bird mode

Wing Gundam from “Gundam Wing” (1/100 scale) hiding behind his shield. ^^

I really like these models, cuz they pose so well considering their size

From right to left, front row: PVC Panda Z(Panda Z), PVC Tachikoma(Ghost in the Shell), PZ Collection Panda Z
From right to left, back row: Gundam GP-01 action figure(Gundam 0083), Alphonse Patlabor Revoltech (Patlabor), Gundam GP-02 action figure (Gundam 0083)

the lil Eva thing amuses me no end. Its soooooo cool. You wind it up and it looks like Eva-00 is shooting its gun. And it makes a funny machine gun like sound. XD

Sword Impulse Gundam from “Gundam Seed Destiny” (1/100 scale HG) and a wind up Eva-00 from “Evangelion”. Sword Impulse is my favourite configuration of the Impulse. ^^

Blue Frame’s wings turn into a HUGE sword, but its almost impossible to pose with

Aegis, Astray Blue Frame 2nd L and Blitz Gundams, all from Gundam SEED and SEED Astray. (all 1/100 HG). These guys are the highest in my room, next to my SD Gundams.

the huge gap between the two is for my Freedom Gundam (see below)

Buster Gundam and Duel Gundam from Gundam SEED. (both 1/100 HG)

the wing zero was the first action figure I got. A friend bought it for me from Hong Kong

From right to left: RX-78 action figure (“MS Gundam”), Wing Zero action figure (“Gundam Wing”), RB-79 Ball action figure (“MS Gundam”) and Gundam Epyon from “Gundam Wing” (1/100 scale)

this kit is a work of art I tells ya. Wings are a bitch to pose though

Gundam Wing Zero Custom from “Gundam Wing: Endless Waltz” (MG 1/100 scale)

Picture isn’t very clear cuz its currently in a mock battle with this guy:

this guy comes well equipped and has superior pose-ability. But again, wings are a bitch…

Freedom Gundam from “Gundam SEED/SEED Destiny” (MG 1/100 scale). These two are my favourite Gundams from their respective shows.

I luv my Strike. It comes with all the striker weapons packs

On the DVD player: 1/60 Strike Gundam (SEED), on the TV Nobel Gundam action figure (G Gundam) and GM action figure (MS Gundam). On the chest of drawers, 1/144 Strike (SEED) and 1/60 Patlabor (Patlabor), which I tried to make look battle damaged after I broke it. ^^;;;

on the left, Darke Angel Colours, on the right, Endless Waltz colours

2x SD Wing Gundam Zero Custom (“Gundam Wing: Endless Waltz”). Which do you prefer? ^^

one of my earlier kits…it shows…

Wing Gundam Zero from “Gundam Wing” (1/100 scale)

this poor fella is startin to fall apart. So I don’t pose him much anymore. It’s a pity, cuz he was the king of action poses

God Gundam (Burning Gundam in the West.) from “G Gundam” (MG 1/100 scale). Man. I’ve actually had him quite a while now. He’s on the highest of my book shelves at the mo.

it’s a panda. And its piloting a giant robot panda. And it rocks. What else is there to understand?

Panda Z. ^^ I <3 my giant robot panda.

there are some other DVDs on this shelf, but they’re negligible compared to the POWER OF GUNDAM

This is my Gundam Shelf. It holds most of my Gundam DVDs and Manga, and also has my Chaos and Force Impulse Gundam Action figures (from “SEED DESTINY”)

Shenlong is a reliable lil fella, always manages to pull off some good poses.

Shenlong Gundam from Gundam Wing (1/100) standing on my dvd shelves.

one of my top 5 fav Gundams I think.

Gundam Astray Red Frame (HG 1/100) from “SEED ASTRAY” on top on my DVD tower. I wanna get Gold Frame Astray to go with Blue Frame and Red Frame Astrays

these guys are TINY but pose better then some of my larger models!

RX-78-3 G3 and RX-78 C.A Gundams from “Mobile Suit Variations” (HCM Pro 1/200 scale) on my bed side cabinet and duking it out with beam sabres.

I was hella chuffed with both these models, very poseable considering their small scale

Dreadnought Gundam and Red Frame Astray Gundam from “SEED X Astray” (1/144 scale HG) duking it out on my window sill

This is an OLD SCHOOL model, from one of the first production runs after the Gundam Movies were released in the 80s

Zaku 2 from “MS Gundam” (1/144 scale). This was my FIRST EVER Gundam model. This is where it all began.

another old school model from late 80s, early 90s. its broken, but used to be able to transform into three separate parts

1/60 scale Victory 2 Gundam from “V Gundam” on my metal shelving unit)

another one of my favs. I wanna get the Endless Waltz version maybe

Gundam Deathscythe Hell from “Gundam Wing”. Ph34r his scythe.

just a selection of the boxes that my Gundams came in

Wing Gundam Zero Custom action figure from “Endless Waltz”

We’re on the home stretch people. Stay with me!

I got this kit for 3 pounds. Not bad eh?
Nataku (a.ka Gundam Altron custom). On top of my “Gundam Hanger” (1/100 scale)

I also have a Deathscythe Hell action figure, but he got cut out of the shot

Lower Hanger shelf: action figures. from left to right: Altron, Heavy Arms, Sandrock kai, Officer Leo, Space Leo action figures, all from Gundam Wing (Sandrock from Endless Waltz)

yes, there’s lego on this shelf too…

Lower Hanger Shelf: 1/144 scale models. From left to right: Shenlong (hidden mostly by Tallgeese), Tallgeese, Vayeate and Serpent from “Gundam Wing” and behind them is Dragon Gundam and Master Gundam from “G Gundam”

these are some of my best models in terms of detail

Upper Hanger shelf: Universal Century Suits

From left to right: Zeta Plus A1 (from “Gundam Sentinel” Amuro Ray colours), Zaku 2, GM [G] and GM. from “MS Gundam” and “08th MS Team” (1/100 scale MG)

obscured in these pictures is my F90 Gundam from “Gundam F90” but its not a great model anyway, so don’t worry too much.

My Gundam Line up. ^^ the space on the shelf behind them is reserved for my 1/100 Wing Models. I usually have a bunch on the shelf, and a bunch in the room, and swap em about

Upper Hanger shelf: One Year War Gundams.
From left to right: RX-79 [G] Gundam (one of my favs, from 08th MS Team), the legendary RX-78 Gundam (from MS Gundam) and the RX-78NT-1 ALEX Gundam (another one of my favs, from Gundam 0080). (1/100 scale MG)

And last but not least

awaiting construction. XD

On the left, CrossBone Gundam X1 version Katoki MG 1/100 from Crossbone Gundam and LM HG Evangelion Unit 00 (the one Rei pilots!! XD) from “Evangelion”

So there you have it. That is my mecha collection in its entirety. To put those into persective:

that shelving unit was a great help with my Gundam location problem

That’s one side of my room with all my mecha from Eva-02 to the SD Gundams

hey looky, its Midori, my laptop! And my leather coats too!

This is another side with my Gundams from the Zaku 2 onwards, including the “Hanger” shelving unit.

heh. Back when I had barely half a shelf of stuff I thought I had too much manga…

And this is the third wall. The fourth wall is a window, mostly.
The stuff you can see inside the blue box lit up is my manga/anime collection. This is most of my dvds, and most of my manga. And a few magazines and art books too.

I need another tower, but I have no room!

This is part of the fourth wall, which holds the rest of my dvds in the tower and on the small shelves. ^^ I have too many dvds. But I don’t care. Much.

I look stoned, don’t i? I'm just tired, trust me.

This is me. ^^ with my new hat. I need a shave don’t i?

Darke Angel: man with too much money and time on his hands, or not enough? We may never know.

Hope you enjoyed that. see ya again soon! Hopefully with less pictures!!!

snoozin and a cruisin make for a brusin...
Heyeyyeyeeyeya everyone. Hows it hanging? A little low and to the left? I didn’t wish to know that.

So hey, before you do ANYTHING, go and read Sundays post, for it has a funky survey/quiz/game/thing to try out. Go go go! I’ll wait for ya.

Hummdeehum

Enjoy that? good.

Anyways, its been a busy coupla days. I’ve been working my rear end off at work. Seriously considering my options now, I really think I oughta find another job, before I get stuck at the PRUH.

I'm also signing my ass up for Camp America! Granted that doesn’t actually mean I’ll get a placement, but it will be interesting to see if I do. If I'm accepted, I’ll be spending summer in America. Y’know, for a change. LOL

I'm also considering signing my ass up (my ass is going to be very busy this year) for a Beginners Japanese course at a local adult education centre AND some sort of Martial Art at the Leisure Centre. 2007 will be a year for doing stuff. Like last year. ROFL.

My new models came in the post today. ^^ CrossBone Gundam Ver. Ka and Evangelion Unit 00 (blue) The CrossBone is hella complex and is gonna take me a while but Unit 00 (and Unit 02 which I still have to do) shouldn’t take me too long at all. Painting will probably be the hardest part of the two evas, and even then its only minimal paint needed.

I was gona show you pictures of how little space there is in my room and how much manga and anime I now own and how many mecha I have dotted around the place, but the battery is running low on my camera, and the poor lighting in my room means my camera cant focus well enough, so you’re gonna have to wait until a better time.

Heh, I downloaded the legendary AMV “AMV Hell 3: the motion picture” on bittorrent the other night. It meant poor Midori (my laptop) had to pull an all-nighter to download it. The damn thing is an hour long, and was like 700 meg or something. Midori managed to shave 8 hours off of the initial 13 hour download estimate that it was giving me when I went to bed, and thus when I left the house at 6:30 this morning there was only like another 15 minutes to go. But I was gonna be late for work, so I had to leave Midori running ALL day as well. Poor girl is knackered, so I’ll let her est tonight. AMV Hell 3 is hella funny though. Some of it had me in stitches. If ya ever get the chance, watch it, cuz it is brilliantly done. ^^

Well, there is very little left for me to say today. I leave you with a comic.

What can I say? Luna likes to Horde things

Inspired by three things:

1: the flat tyre I got the other night
2: the inability I have to throw anything away and thus the decreasing amount of space in my room
3: the fact that Luna reached 7,500 miles on her milometer yesterday, and thusly is due for her regular check up at the dealers. When I get the time to book it that is.

Yay! Rubber Duckie!!!

Have a good one!

Toodles.

I got a spankin new hat…which my brother found in the lost and found box at his work. LOL
Hiya everyone. I hope y’all doing ok. ^^

Its been…well, busy, recently. And I havnt had a brilliant end of week.

Okies, first off, my Thursday evening was really hectic. I was working till 7pm and it was just me for the last hour, so I had to do all the closing up stuff, like ensure the place was left clean and locked, and I had to clean all the food trolleys down, whilst also doing any jobs that came through on the computer. But I finished at 7 but I had to be back at work at 7am the very next day. On the way to work, I got over taken TWICE by two totally different drivers in white cars. The first was as literally just after I had pulled out the driveway, the bastard didn’t even slow down and cruised on past me. The second was closer to work, but obviously didn’t care that I was already travelling slightly faster than the speed limit. I swear, four wheelers (the term I give to any inconsiderate jerk who drives a car) drive me nuts.

Anyhoo, I got to work and did the usual crap. Went home, did some net stuffs, went to snorkelling. After I came out of snorkelling, I found I had a flat tyre. I had driven over a nail (it was dark, I couldn’t see something like a nail. It was probably hammered into my tyre by some stupid punk looking for kicks) so we (my mother and brother and I) had to replace the tyre with the emergency spare, which took AGES! Today (Saturday, I'm typing this up saturday night cuz I gotta go work Sunday morning and wont have time to do it) we took it to a tyre dealer and it wasn’t repairable, so I had to have a new tyre fitted. Luckily it didn’t cost much, but the whole incident was quite stressful.

Though I have to say it did give me a great idea for a comic, but you’re gonna have to wait till Wednesday for it, cuz I so haven’t had the time to do it.

Also today was my grandpa’s 70th birthday party (his actual birthday is on Monday)
It was a lot of fun, especially seeing all my distant relatives on my mums side who I haven’t seen for ages. We had a lot to eat and talked about many things. It was also the first time in a while where I felt quite young...one of the youngest there next to my two cousins and my younger brother. I have been there most of the afternoon, which is why I haven’t had the time to do a comic or anything.

Sunday (today if you’re reading this, tomorrow for me.) I gotta go to work early. I was meant to have it off, but someone asked me to cover for them and I had no real reason to say no, so there we go. Its only for the morning, so its not too bad.

I gotta put Luna in for a service soon, she’s very close to the 7,500 mile mark. And its been AGES since she’s had a service, so time wise, she’s long overdue.

I’ve been watching my recently acquired anime DVDs recently. The end of GetBackers was brilliant, I really enjoyed it. And I have watched both vols 6 and 7 of FMA. Vol 7 was quite sad especially when (SPOILERS!!! Highlight: Hughes dies. The funeral scene was beautifully done. but other wise I really enjoyed it. I also gotta watch vol 7 of GITS SAC: 2nd Gig, and I STILL gotta make my Eva-02 model up. I had better do it soon…I ordered Eva Unit 0 and the CrossBone Gundam today…they’ll be here by Wednesday. ^^;; I seriously need to find space for all my Gundam models. Maybe for Wednesday I will take pictures of my room to give you a good idea how infested with manga and anime and GUNDAM MODELS it is. Seriously, my room is like a miniature Mech –fest. ^^

Okies, that’s it from me today. As I said earlier, no comic for you guys, mainly through me being pretty busy. I got a few ideas for comics, and a few ideas for some sample manga pages AND I got a pic I'm doing for Blue which I still need to finish. So yeah, its not like I havnt got ideas or anything. Just NO FREAKIN TIME!

So instead of a comic, I leave you with this quite amusing lil thing to try out.

H’okay, so what you do is:
Take ALL the music on your I-pod/Mp3 player/Computer.
Set the player of Choice to Random Play
Ask each of the following questions OUT LOUD.
Use the Title of the track you get as your answer.

Here are my results. Some don’t make sense, but some are very amusing.

1:How does the world see you? "Gateway to Forever" STARGAZER (pay the toll to use the gate please)

2. Will I have a happy life? "HARE HARE YUKAI (sunny sunny happy)" Suzumiya Haruhi OST (I'm guessing that’s a yes?)

3. What do my friends think of me? "back alley spaceboy" Theme from Dai Guard (I'm too poor to be a normal spaceboy)

4. Do people secretly lust after me? "false alarm" KT Tunstall (phew)

5. How can I make myself happy? "laker girls cheer": SPAMALOT (you would understand this if you have seen Spamalot)

6. What should I do with my life? "journey to hanamachi" : Memoirs of a Geisha (Hanamachi is "flower town" or a Japanese Geisha District. Go figure)

7. Will I ever have children? "play the game": We Will Rock You (WWRY) (or should that be play the field? LOL)

8. What is some good advice for me? "Hammer to fall" WWRY (that makes no sense)

9. How will I be remembered? "minature disasters" KT TUNSTALL (LMAO!!)

10. What's my signature dancing song? "another place to fall" KT TUNSTALL (fall because I cant dance)

11. What's my current themesong? "parallel days" SUZUMIYA HARUHI OST (I don’t think it is. But the music player never lies!)

12. What do others think is my current themesong? "minority" GREEN DAY
(I wanna be the minority! I don’t need your Authority! Down with the moral majority cuz I wanna be the Minority!)

13. What shall they play at my funeral? "who wants to live forever?" WWRY
(*head pops out the coffin* me!! I do!!)

14. What type of men/women do I like? "God Knows..." SUZUMIYA HARUHI
(but he wont tell me)

15. How's my love life? "for once in my life" Frank Sinatra (for once in my life, I'm actually in a relationship…)

16.My dreams are? "somewhere i belong" Linkin Park (very profound)

17.-My death will be? "you wont succeed on broadway" SPAMALOT (well no duh.)

18.-This year will be? "i want it all" WWRY (and I want it now!)

19.- My mind is? "building a mystery" SARAH MCLAUGHLIN (*ish deep and mysterious*)

20.- What is my destiny? "im all alone" SPAMALOT (ah…a bit prophetic ne? ^^; )

Have a go. Feel totally free to steal and have a go…that’s what I did! You’ll be surprised at what answers you get…

Well, have a great week. I shall see y’all on Wednesday, hopefully with comic. ^^

Toodles!!!

tis wednesday, and in a small room in a house south east of London, a tall young man with a hairy chin decides to see if he can return to his regular updating schedule...
hiya folks. this post entirely depends on whether my net holds out long enough for me to hit the "Add Post" button. my network has been kinda iffy lately, so we shall see....

anyways, how is everyone? hope y'all ok.

Its been a fairly quiet week for me so far. On sunday i spent most of the day trying to reaarange my shelves so i can fit all my recently acquired books and dvds on to them. ^^ i got rid of a lot of old books that i dont read anymore....

i also made up my Dreadnought Gundam, which is the smaller one of the two i picked up...i have to say, its looking pretty sharp. ^^ still have to make up my Eva-02 when i find the time.

On monday i was meant to do the late shift at work, but i got a call on Sunday asking if i could do the early instead. So i said yes, didnt make much difference to me. But when i got to work on Monday, they said i had to do early AND late shifts, which really pissed me off. but i couldnt really do anything about it cuz if i left early, there would be only one person left to do the late shift, and its not possible to do all the work with one person.

but anyways, i got yesterday off, and made up for the long shift by going up to London and blowing £145 (thats one hundred and forty five english pounds) on manga and anime in ONE GO. ^^ havnt done that for a while.

i got:

Ghost in the Shell : Stand Alone Complex OST 1
GITS:SAC Be Human CD (the Tachikoma OST)
Volume 3 of Gundam SEED Destiny DVD
Vol 10 of Getbackers DVD (the final volume! w00t!)
Vol 7 of GITS:SAC 2nd Gig (The final Volume also! w00t!!!)
Vols 6 and 7 of Full Metal Alchemist DVD
Vol 3 of Neon Genesis Evangelion: Angelic Days manga
Vol 1 of a weird manga called Q-ko-chan (more about that in a sec)
Devil May Cry 2 novel

and "The Harsh Cry of the Heron" by Lian Hearn which is like a three inch thich hard back. (well, maybe about 2 inch) and is the sequal to the "Tales of the Otori" trilogy.

so i did pretty good for myself i think. ^^

i had lunch, then met up with my brother at the British Museum. we were gonna go do something, but couldnt find a film or show we particularly wanted to see, so we split ways again, i went home and he went off to dance class. ^^

i also found out yesterday that my dad has managaed to get a new job! hooray! his new offices are over looking Leicester Square which is a pretty major point in London. its where ALL the major film premiers are held of Great Britain and also holds the broadcast stations for some of Londons major radio stations. so my dad will be working in a pretty cool place! ^^

Oh yeah. That Q-ko-chan Manga. its by the same person who did FLCL and its pretty hard to follow, possibly due to Del Ray's poor translations, but possibly due to the basic yet chaotic art style. ^^; but i got the gist of it, and its kinda interesting. As far as i can tell, its the future and there some kind of war going on. and in the midst of all this there are aliens also trying to invade/land on/explore/do something on Earth. there are alines which kinda look like a weird cross between the Encounters style alien and a jellyfish. and there are some other Alien robots called "Dolls". The japanese military seem to have control of most of the Dolls, whilst some of the apposing sides seem to have a semblance of control over the other aliens. and in the midst of all this, an escaped Doll called Q-ko-chan has tracked down a young lad called Kirio and asked him to pilot her.

its a mecha type manga, but its got a lot of the surreal bizarreness that FLCL is famous for. The Dolls, which can also turn into Human-like girls, are kinda cute, and very basic, not like typical mecha at all. and theres a mysterious group called Black Hare who used to have control of the Dolls, but now they have all escaped, including the renegade Haneko-chan, which seems to be more dangerous then Q-ko-cha and her sisters.

i cant really explain it. if ya see it in a book store, take a quick look, see what you think. or read the first chapter HERE .
i kinda enjoy it. ^^

well thats it for me. Im going to go listen to "Be Human" now. yay for Tachikoma themed songs! ^^

ciao for now.
