Im in Love with my Lust, burning Angel Wings to Dust...
"Wish I had an Angel"- Nightwish.

g'day to you my fellow otaku. (sheesh, now im even greeting you guys in Aussie tongue. the influence of Blue. lol)

i havnt a huge amount to talk about today, just giving you a round up of friday and the upcoming week.

Friday i was up in London getting my jabs done. didnt even hurt, and now i am immunised from Hep A and Hep B for about 10 years! w00t!
i also stopped off in Forbidden Planet and picked up Ecole du Ciel manga vol 4, Getbackers DVD vol 9, FMA DVD vol 3 and i discovered something i have been longng to get for a long long time but have never seen until now.

"Der Mond" an Evangelion art book by Yoshiyuki Sadamoto, the guy who did the Evangelion character designs.i love his work, especially his illustrations of...yes, you guessed it... Rei. ^///^ ph34r my huge and somewhat creepy rei obsession.
now i have both Die Sterne and Der Mond...my Eva art collection is growing. ^^

afterwards i went to the British Museum to check out the recently re-opened Japanese section. there was some really cool stuff there including a genuine samurai word that could potentially still be used, and a whole bunch of other stuff from the past way up to the present. they even had an old picture of a Gundam and some manga too. lol. iforget to take my camera, but i took some picture with my camera phone...nw i gotta get the software to get it from my phone to my laptop. ^^;;

i also went into the British Museum's Reading Room...ITS HUGE!!! i thought it was gonna be some low ceilinged room in the basement or something, but its like a massive auditorium with tonnes of books...i didnt get to read any of em, i think you need to be a member to actually get into the reading section, but they allow members of the public to go in the first bit to see what it looks like. i was in awe. ^^

that was my friday. yesterday i worked, and im working every day this week till thursday. thursday i have off, so i'll probably pack that day. i gotta get everything sorted for Ireland this week. i leave thursday evening, and reurn on Monday, so there will be no post next sunday. i will bring back lots piccies though. ^^

okies, thats it from me today. i got nothing for ya. be inventive and think of something amusing that would normally fill the space below...

that was fun wasnt it? hope you enjoyed it.

toodles.

In the Beginning The Universe was Created. This made a lot of people angry, and has been widely regarded as a bad idea…
Heya folks. Sorry I didn’t update yesterday. I was busy on Tuesday evening, so didn’t write up a post for yesterday, and yesterday I was working, so I didn’t have time for that sort of stuffage.

Anyhoo, I am here now. Yay(!)

I havnt done much this week so far. Worked Monday, had Tuesday off where I did some research, was working most of yesterday, and I have to go to work later today. >.< but I have tomorrow off, and I'm going up to London to get a booster jab (NEEDLES!!!!!!! BWA HA HA!!!!) and I’ll probably end up doing the ole manga rounds. ^^

On Monday I drove my lil brother to scouts. ^^ I quite enjoy driving. It’ll probably wear off eventually, the enjoyment. ^^; oh well. I was driving along to a random album of unplugged and acoustic music. ^^

On Tuesday I watched “HitchHikers Guide to the Galaxy” on Sky Movies with my family…its not quite as good as the original book, but its got its own merits. ^^ as you might have guessed, todays subject line is a quote from the film…

Today I got a parcel with my Ground Combat Gundam Model I bought off of ebay in it. ^^ I cant wait to get the chance to put it together. Its one of my fav Gundam types.

I'm afraid I still don’t have a comic for you guys. I’ve been focusing my artistic talents on a new project this week. Next weekend is the London Expo, which features a large anime/manga section. I'm going to be in Ireland so I wont be able to attend, but they are having a competition in association with GundamMad.com, which is my fav website for Gundam merchandise. The competition is to design your own Gundam, and you can win some Gundam goodies. ^^ Since I already have a number of my own designs, this will be fairly simple for me to enter, however, I have been trying to decide which design to enter, and to draw up a good illustration of it. I’ve cut it down to 2 designs, and I'm gonna do a best copy of both and then decide which to enter. However, that’s taken most of my spare time, so I havnt had the chance to do a comic…I’ll probably resume Boxman and CDD after I return from Ireland.

Instead, i’ll leave you a couple a piccies I’ve been working on recently…

First is this one which I spent waaaaayyyy to much time on…

The Puppet Master

And the second is this lil sketch of Kayleigh which I had to get out of my brain Monday night.

Blue thinks Kayleigh is Cute. ^^ Love ya Blue

I also had a weird dream last night…I can’t remember all of it, but the first part we (I don’t know who) were driving in a car at night and we were driving up a mountain road, and all of these Zombies were standing on the road, but only in the parts lit y street lamps, which were only on one side of the road. So we drove on the other side to avoid the Zombies, apart from the occasional one that stood on our side. Behind us was another car on the other side of the road mowing the zombies down as he went. And I said to the driver, “that idiot is driving on the wrong side of the road, he’s gonna get hit by a car coming in the other direction in a minute…”

Anyways, we carry on driving, and suddenly its day time and we’re heading down a large highway past this HUGE glass mall, that’s still being constructed, and someone says “that malls been under construction for ages, and they’re never gonna finish cause all the workers keep going round the corner to the funfair thing”. And we pull into this funfair (its wasn’t really a funfair, more of a massive World Fair or something) and then the dream gets fuzzy for a bit, but the next thing I remember is that I'm in a team for a competition and we have to build a compressor or something…and we’ve mislaid the plans. And there’s this Black Haired Girl who’s talking to me, and I tell her “well, you need to tell me what to do. I dont mind doing it, and once I got plans I’ll go off and work it out and get it done, but I need you to tell me what to do, that’s your job…” and we talked a while more about some stuff, and then just as she was gonna tell me to get started, the alarm woke me up.

So yah… ^^; I think between the London Expo and my driving this week, my brain has become filled with funny ideas. There was one thing though, after I woke up and started to get ready for work, I couldn’t shake the feeling that by waking up from the dream, and thus losing the world in which the girl existed, i had lost someone dear to me…a close friend… bizarre I know, but I couldn’t shake the feeling.

And I think that’s it from me for now. Any questions, any queries, I’ll be in my office after the post has let out. ^^

EDIT: i got called into work early today so i wont be able to do much of anything. >.< Sorry Blue, i wont be able to be on MSN today!!

Toodles….

“So long and thanks for all the fish
So sad that it should come to this
We tried to warn you all but oh dear?

You may not share our intellect
Which might explain your disrespect
For all the natural wonders that
grow around you

So long, so long and thanks
for all the fish

The world's about to be destroyed
There's no point getting all annoyed
Lie back and let the planet dissolve

Despite those nets of tuna fleets
We thought that most of you were sweet
Especially tiny tots and your
pregnant women

So long, so long, so long, so long, so long
So long, so long, so long, so long, so long

So long, so long and thanks
for all the fish

(yeah)

So long and thanks for all the fish
So sad that it should come to this
We tried to warn you all but oh dear?

(oh dear)

Despite those nets of tuna fleets
We thought that most of you were sweet
Especially tiny tots and your
pregnant women

So long, so long, so long, so long, so long
So long, so long, so long, so long, so long

So long, so long and thanks
for all the fish

Die Die, We all Pass Away, but don't wear a frown, cuz its really ok. You might try to run and you might try to pray, but we all end up the remains of the day...
heh. ^^ i was watching Tim Burtons Corpse Bride last night on DVD. i bought it for 4 english pounds after i spent 20 pounds on Howls Moving Castle and the new Evanescense Album "The Open Door" at HMV this week. ^^ Howls Moving Castle is always good (i like Calcifer ^^ ) and the new album is pretty good, but i personally think its not as good as their first one, "Fallen".

anyways, how are you all doing? i've had a busy week, i was working everyday...that or sleeping it seems. ^^; i think the whole late to bed early to rise thing is getting to me...

oh, i did my first solo drive this week. ^^ i drove my brothers car back from the train station in Eltham. its a really weird feeling driving by yourself...i kept waiting for a voice to say "turn left at the next traffic lights please..." ^^;; oh well. it worked out pretty good.

Thursday i was in the dining room doing the whole washing up thing again...boring as hell...*sighs*

Friday night at snorkelling club we had a game of Octopush, which is kinda like underwater hockey. you have these small pushers about the size of a ruler, and a circular lead weight, and you have to push the weight across to the side of the pool to score a goal. of course, there's about half a dozen people trying to stop you, and your team trying to all get the puck to score a goal...and its ALL underwater with your snorkelling gear on...its an energetic (and somewhat violent) game. ^^ i really enjoy it. and of course im now bearing the marks of a good game...my fingers on my right hand have bruises and marks on them where people have tried to swipe the puck off me and hit my fingers instead...^^ hurts like crazy, but i dont care.

heh. I got Cee-kari and Ryuu-kiba hooked on Azumanga Daioh. DING-DING-DING-DING-DIIIINNNGGG!!!

i've almost finished reading "The Time Travellers Wife", and im really enjoying it so much. the whole book is great, yet this last bit really tugs at the ole heart strings... im on the final section, i'll probably finish it sometime this week.

i've been in a really gothic mood recently, what with Corpse Bride and Evanescense... lol. it'll probably come out in my art.

and onto the big news i suppose...

last monday, after i passed my test, i was chatting to Blue Eyes on MSN and well...we're kinda dating right now. i mean, as much as two people can date when they live on opposite sides of the globe. but yeah, we're boyfriend and girlfriend now. its a bit of a weird feeling, after being single for so damn long (since before i started blogging here i think) but we'll see how it all turns out. ^^ love ya blue.

i havnt got a comic for you guys this week, i've been working on a large pic and thats been taking most of my spare time.

tomorrow is my dads birthday, and sometime this week i wanna get up to London to get some booster shots for vaccinations i got this time last year. ^^ and maybe buy some manga or something...

and next week, im off to Ireland! not this thursday, but thursday after. me and my bro, and we'll be off for about 4 or 5 days...i'll probably miss one post. but thats ok, i'll update y'all on the trip when i get back. ^^

well, instead of a comic, i'll leave you with this survey thingy i did. Its one i did on deviantart and its based on Original Characters, so ones that i designed. i tried to put in at least one character from every series i've made up. so here we go. enjoy...

* * *

List 12 of your original characters:

01. Gabrielle (from Earth Angels)
02. Jen (from E.A: Heaven and Earth)
03. Tsunami (from E.A: Holy Guardian Angel Police Force)
04. Chibi Darke (from Chibi Darke Days)
05. Seraph (from See No Evil, Speak No Evil)
06. Evelyn (from Unfinished Business)
07. Kayla (from XVIII)
08. Midori (from Mista P!s crew)
09. Rose and Shadow (I know that’s two, but they work as one. also from Mista P!s crew)
10. Sky (with Messiah Gundam Omega. from Gundam SCROLL: Messiah)
11. Prism (from Magical Rainbow Maid Prism)
12. Kayleigh (who the heck knows where she's from...tis a mystery...)

01) Who would make a better college professor, 6 or 11? What subjects would they teach?

Prism is still in school under her normal alias, so I suppose Evelyn would be the better teacher, seeing as she’s been dead for over a century..she’d be a good history teacher…

02) Do you think 2 is hot? How hot?

All my characters are Hot. So there. Jen is one of the hotter ones, in my opinion.

03) 12 sends 8 on a mission. What is it, and does it succeed?

Kayleigh would probably send Midori to download a tonne of music or get her to research something…and Midori would start off well but get distracted by YouTube or accidently download a virus or something…

04) What is or would be 9's favorite book?

Rose’s Fav book would be something that has no bad things in it, like the complete collection of Winnie the Pooh stories. Shadow on the other hand would read something where EVERYONE dies at the end…

05) Would it make more sense for 2 to swear fealty to 6, or the other way around?

Jen would be unlikely to swear loyalty to someone who’s dead, however Evelyn would serve under NOBODY, so it’d be more of a “I scratch your back if you pass your hand through my ectoplasm” kinda deal…

06) For some reason, 5 is looking for a roommate. Should s/he share a studio apartment with 9 or with 10?

Seraph, being blind, would probably be sensitive to the bi-polar nature of Shadow and Rose, so would probably go with the more balanced Sky.

07) 2, 7 and 12 have dinner together. Where do they go, and what do they discuss?

Kayla speaks Japanese, with limited English, so Kayleigh and Jen would probably spend most of the evening trying to learn about her and what she does. The subject of Jen being a denizen of the future would probably crop up too. As for where they’d eat, it would probably be a Yoshinoya or somewhere like that.

08) 3 challenges 10 to a duel. What happens?

Sky pilots a Gundam, Tsunami weilds a sword…easy win right? Wrong. Tsunami has mad skills that are backed up by angelic type energy, so my money would be on her, although it would be a close call with the SCROLL system in the Messiah Gundam…

09) If 1 stole 8's most precious possession, how would s/he get it back?

Gabrielle wouldn’t steal anything, but if she was having an off-day and took something of Midori’s, Midori would probably dig up some dirt on Gabrielle to blackmail it back off her…

10) Suggest a title for a story in which 7 and 12 both attain what they most desire.

"Seaching for the Rhythm of Life"

11) What kind of plot device would you use if you wanted 4 and 1 to work together?

Chibi Darke would just ask his artist/author friend Mista P! to write him into the story. Or Sky could fall into a time vortex or something equally improbable…

12) If 7 visited you for the weekend, how would you get along?

With difficulty seeing as I don’t speak a word of Japanese…we’d manage somehow though…

13) If you could command 3 to perform any one task or service for you, what would it be?

Teach me Japanese…

14) Does anyone on your friends list write or draw 11?

Inoshishi-chan coloured Prism once…does that count?

15) If 2 had to choose sides between 4 and 5, which would it be?

Jen lives with Chibi Darke, so it would probably be that way…but then again, Seraph is a handsome guy…Jen might feel a bit hormonal….who can say?

16) What might 10 shout while charging into battle?

”I wont let you destroy my home!!!”

17) If you chose a song to represent 8, which song would you choose?

”Lithium Flower” by Tim Jensen

18) 1, 6, and 12 are having dim sum at a Chinese restaurant. There is only one scallion pancake left, and they all reach for it at the same time. Who gets to eat it?

Gabrielle would probably let Evelyn and Kayleigh decide between themselves, and since Evelyn can’t eat food, Kayleigh would probably end up eating it.

19) What might be a good pick-up line for 2 to use on 10?

Jen doesn’t go in for girls…even robot girls….

20) What would 5 most likely be arrested for?

Seraph would probably be most likely to be arrested for wearing nothing but a vest and shorts in public…

21) What is 6's secret?

She develops feelings for a fleshie… =3

22) If 11 and 9 were racing to a destination, who would get there first?

Prism can use her elite superpowers to use the colours of the spectrum to build a rainbow that will take her anywhere fast. Shadow will probably cheat and blow it up or something, but Rose won’t stand for cheating, so Rose and Shadow will be standing at the start line having an argument whilst Prism uses her normal alias, Daisy, to get on a train or something….

23) If you had to walk home through a bad neighbourhood late at night, would you feel safer in the company of 7 or 8?

Midori probably cuz she has a glowy eye that can light the way, and scare the bejeesus out of anyone who thinks of messing with us...

24) 1 and 9 reluctantly team up to save the world from the threat posed by 4's sinister secret organization. 11 volunteers to help them, but it is later discovered that he/she is actually a spy for 4. Meanwhile, 4 has kidnapped 12 in an attempt to force their surrender. Following the wise advice of 5, they seek out 3, who gives them what they need to complete their quest.

-What title would you give this fic?

“When the World of Darke collides…”

-Name three people on your friends list who might read it.

Imjustme, maybe, NumbAngel, possibly and Teepocoora if she felt like it…

-Name one person who should write it.

only myself could probably pull this off and it would still suck…

* * *

hope you enjoyed. have a good week y'all.

Toodles.

Hi folks. (yeah, funny subject, i know)
Not a huge amount to talk about today. I kinda crashed from the high of passing my drivers test. (no, I haven’t ACTUALLY crashed yet! Please!)

Actually now my insurance has been sorted out and I'm sharing my brother’s car. I haven’t decided where I'm gonna drive to first…it’ll probably be boring like to a nearby town or something, just to get used to driving on my own. Oh, and if I crash the car, my brother says he’s gonna kill me (that’s if the crash doesn’t) so I gotta be extra careful. ^^;;

Hi to new regular readers of Darke’s blog. I seem to have picked up a few new friends on my recent travels, so hi and thanks for continuing to partake in this madness. I will probably get round to visiting y’all sometime soon. ^^; gomen.

This week I have to work everyday (except Sunday). Tomorrow I have to attend some fire safety lecture and on Thursday I have to get up extra early cuz I'm working in the dining room, which sucks. Hmmm…I just had a de ja vu…have I said all this before? Oh well. *cant be bothered to check*

Something else kinda cool and wonderful happened this week. but you guys might have to wait till I tell you. *sticks tongue out* some people know already.

Oh, and I finally got an RAF interview arranged! HUZZAH! Its on the 28th November, which is a long way away, but gives me time to prepare.

Next Monday is my Dads birthday…I gotta get him something!

Oh and I got cake the other night for passing my test. ^^ yummy.

I unfortunately have no comic for you today. Awfully sorry about that. I'm thinking I might do Box Man comics on one day and CDDs on the other…I don’t want to stop doing CDDs. What do you guys think?

EDIT: DAMN!! i have fantasmagorically splendiforusly awesome friends!!! Thank you to Mitzy, Cee-Kari and Shadowtiger69, i really appreciate your advice and encouragement at this time. ^^ *hugs* i love you guys. i'll email/pm y'all later ok? and Blue, ill email you too. ^^ but i gotta get going else i'll be late for work...

*END EDIT*

Well that’s it from me today. I have no quotes or videos or anything. You’ll have to make do with this:

Kid in class: Miss! Miss!! I need to go toilet!!!

Teacher: Ok, but only if you can recite the alphabet.

Kid: A B C D E F G H I J K L M N O Q R S T U V W X Y Z.

Teacher: Where’s the P?

Kid: running down me leg!

*tumbleweed blows past*

OMD!!! ITS EL TUMBLEWEEDO!!! I MUST GET HIS AUTOGRAPH!!!

*runs off to get autograph and to avoid lynching at distasteful and awful joke….*

Holy Einstein Quoting Uncle of a Gundam Box Man!
how is everyone enjoying the weekend so far? or, if its over already i hoped you enjoyed it.

anyways, my life has been...interesting...i guess

okies, on wednesday i bought a spare Lemon Sponge cake that was lying around at work. it had been left over from the previous days supper, and it was sealed and still in the fridge, so i figured "waste not" and all that jazz. so i took it home and ate it whilst watching the rest of Short Circuit. the one i took home is meant to be for 3 people but it polished it off with no problems. ^^; and it was delicious. and probably had something to do with the vividness of my dream that night. So without further ado, i present another episode of DARKE'S WEIRD ASS CRAZY DREAMS!!

Okies, this one was just plain weird.
Ban and Ginji (from the manga/anime Getbackers) were at my house except they were all hyper from inactivity, so the decided to go across the road to Avery Hill Park to blow off some steam. As they cross the road, Ban uses the Jagan to stop a 286 bus from leaving the bus stop cuz he wants to go up to Sidcup later. (the 286 bus runs down my road and goes into Sidcup)
Anyways, Ginji decides to try a new trick and uses his electrical powers to magnetise himself to the ground. Ban cannot move him.
Then Shido and Akabane (also from Getbackers) show up and challenge Ban and Ginji to a fight. They are quickly joined by Kazuki, Emishi, Jubei, Himiko and, would you belive, Hev'n all wanting to fight Ban and Ginji. This massive fight ensues with electricity and threads and needles and dance whips and perfumes and the usual menagerie of GetBacker super powers. (and this all taking place in the corner of my local park!)
Then the whole thing comes to a massive stalemate, so they all decide to return to my house. On the way back (and somehow my older brother and myself have joined them) we notice that the 286 bus Ban tried to stop had disappeared, but Ban doesnt care. Ginji points out he could always go up to Sidcup on the "Sex Bus" (which looks like a normal bus, dont ask me why it was called a "Sex Bus") but Ban was like "Nooo way". anyway as the bus passes someone calls out that my brother has Garath Gates (a pop singer) type hair and everyone laughs and then i think i woke up.

So yeah. Dont eat 3 portions of cake just before bed and dont watch the entire "Get Back the IL" arc (15 episodes) from GetBackers in one sitting. you'll have dreams like that...

Thursday was a pointless day. I called the RAF...they never called back. useless recruitment people...

Friday it was chucking it down with rain. like absolutely pouring down. And i had a driving lesson in it. ^^ lota fun driving through puddles. (tho you have to be careful cuz you might AquaPlane *nods* )

Uh, went snorkelling in the evening, always good for a laugh. ^^

Yesterday i worked from 12-6 doing...mostly nothing. ^^;;;

ate a packet of Ginger Nut biscuits (Translators Note: Biscuits = cookies) last night.

did a couple of drawings cuz i wanted to draw something that wasnt a comic. i'll post em at the bottom, let me know what you think.

Oh yeah, Blue finished her One Shot (which turned out to be three chapters) Fiction starring Box Man! i've read it, and its awesome. ^^ made me laugh. if ya wanna read it, its on Blue's site. i think the first chapter might be in her archives on the first page, and the second chapter was posted today (Sunday). if ya want, i might post it up here, but its up to you guys.

Thats it from me for this week.

Tomorrow i have my SECOND DRIVING TEST cuz i failed my first. ^^;;;;;;;;; this time i'll remember not to speed. wish me a tonne of luck!!

and on wednesday i have to stay in after my shift ends at work cuz i need to attend a "Fire Safety" Lecture... i figure its a simple case of "in the event of a fire, leave the building". kind of a no brainer. Mum (who works in the same hospital as I) says its also gonna be on Fire Prevention and Evacution of Patients as well, and besides its compulsary attendance, so i have to go anyway. *shrugs*

anyways, thats pretty much it for this week.

here are the two pictures i drew this week. let me know what ya think, k? details about the pics are hidden in the alt text.

i actually have that jacket in inverted colours (tho its actually my brothers) and i wear the same kind of hat to work

Inspired by the OAV Saikano: Another Love Song, which i adore. it took me ages to get this right

well, i'll see ya round!

"You see, wire telegraph is a kind of a very, very long cat. You pull his tail in New York and his head is meowing in Los Angeles. Do you understand this? And radio operates exactly the same way: you send signals here, they receive them there. The only difference is that there is no cat." -Albert Einstein

NUMBER 5...IS ALIVE!!!
Hiya folks. It’s a Darke-O-Gram. It can be done spoken or sung. Your choice.

I’ve been in a bit of a weird mood recently…sorta swinging between depressed and happy, never stopping long enough on either emotion to truly be considered “happy” or “depressed”. Its probably work related.

Monday ended up being a bit of a loss… I wasn’t working but I didn’t really do much either. I called the RAF but got the answer machine, so I’ll have to try again on Thursday when I have the time. However, on Monday we did get a surprise…a new TV…ITS HUGE!!!! Our old TV died a while ago, and we’ve been watching a small one for a while. But Dad ordered a brand new HUGE widescreen TV and it came on Monday. Did I mention how huge it was? Seems to be quite expensive too…I'm not sure my mother approves. ^^; oh well.

Yesterday and Today I have work, 7am to 6pm both days. Yesterday I got quite fed up half way through with the crap I generally put up with in a typical days work. But I put up with it and got through. Now I have to do the same today.

The thing that really bugs me is that nobody tells me anything…and I always get the feeling that whatever I do, the boss of the department doesn’t approve. Maybe I'm just being paranoid. But I got spoken to by one of my senior colleagues about something regarding the way I did something today (I aint going into details, but I wasn’t doing anything wrong, and I wasn’t being told off or anything like that) and I know for a fact that the boss spoke to him about it, rather then its something he picked up himself. This is the second time its happened. If she has a problem, I’d rather she came to me herself. If it happens again, I might say something. But it just bugs me.

Anyways, I got Thursday and Friday off. I'm going to go buy some photo albums and some other stuff that I want. Also, my dad got me the DVD of Short Circuit the other day. Its quite an old movie, but I love it to bits. I really like the sequel too. So I was really happy that my dad got me the dvd. It was going cheap at Borders, so he thought he’d get it for me. My subject line is a Line from the Film. ^^

Been reading “The Time Travellers Wife” at work recently. I started this book yonks ago, but stopped reading it when I bought some other books. Ive finally got back round to reading it. It’s a great book, I'm really getting into it. Chrissy, this is one for your extensive reading list. ^^

Anyways, we now bring ourselves into the final refrain of today’s extensive score of Laments and Laughs. It is, of course, time for BOX MAN!

But first, a lil back story. Recently Blue Eyes and myself decided to hold a wager over the apparent Smexiness of her yet to exist red dress. However I held the hidden ace in that I could claim smexiness whatever the outcome, ergo Blue could not win so the wager was void. So we decided to trade our wagers anyway. So I did this comic at the request of Blue and she is writing a one-shot fic for yours truly.

Anyway…comic ness…

Australian Push-Ups, ironically, only work in the northern hemisphere…

Blue is from Australia BTW hence her somewhat bemused expression. Hope ya like it Blue! Please forgive my somewhat poor attempt at trying to capture you in manga-esque form!

And that, my friends, is it for another few days. I hope you have enjoyed this all singing, some dancing and the occasional monologue of a post. If you can’t hear the music and singing, you’re not listening hard enough. PAY ATTENTION!

And now as the sun starts to set in western Australia, begins to rise in England and totally ignores USA for the next 6 hours, I bid you adieu.

*puts on top hat and strolls off whistling “Lord of the Dance” *

HAPPY OCTOBER EVERYBODY!!!
man. where in the heck did september go? oh yeah...work. -_-|||

anyways, i guess we're officially in autumn now, what with the crappy weather and the conkers and stuff. October holds a lot of important events for me. I have to arrange my RAF interview, which will probably take place this month, i have my second driving test next monday (9th), m dads birthday is on the 16th and at the end of the month me and my brother are going to Ireland. ^^ so yah, busy busy busy.

although, im not going to be too busy this week... im only working tuesday, wednesday and saturday. tues and weds are 7-6 shifts and next sat is 12-6...so yeah, not going to be too busy when it comes to work next week. yay! lots of lie-ins.

speaking of work, y'know what i hate? there are lots of things that really annoy me, but picky eaters are the thing that annoy me most. its not people who have dietry needs, or have a general preference, its the people who absolutely refuse anything but this one type of food with no variations. for example, yesterday we had a job sheet for a Salmon and Potato Au Gratin, which we had ran out of. we called the ward and let them know. after several minutes they came back and said that the patient in question was upset she couldnt have the salmon, but asked for a plain cheese sandwich instead. So we looked in the fridge and the closest we had to a plain cheese sandwich was a cheese and tomato sandwich...close enough right? just take out the tomato. (btw, we get all our sandwiches in pre-made and packaged, so if we dont have a certain type, we normally tryto get the closest too it.) so i took the sandwich up to the ward, tried to give it to the nurses there, and they said "oh no its got tomato in. She wont have that." i was like, can't you just take the tomatoes out? but they were insistant that it had to be a plain cheese sandwich or she would refuse to eat it. so restraining myself from a few choice words about finicky eaters and how they should just e grateful that somebody bought em something to eat at all, i went back down to the kitchen, took the sandwiches from the package, removed the tomatoes, put the sandwiches in another packet and took it back up to the ward. after a brief inspection that the sandwich did just contain cheese, they took it. jeez.

so yah. i hate nit-picky eaters.

anyways, thats a random story from my life. in other news, bLuE eYeS and myself have decided that we're fed up with the time difference between all our otaku friends, so we're gonna relocate all the Otaku to one place with unlimited Pizza (and we can probably order in if ya dont want pizza) and unlimited anime and manga available. that way we can chat with each other whenever we want and there will always be someone around to have fun with. We havnt yet worked out what we're gonna call this place, suggestions would be appreciated. Please refrain from unoriginal names like Eden, Utopia, Paradise, Boston etc.

well, i guess thats it from me today folks. i might be going out today somewhere, but im not sure.

anyhoo, i dont have a comic for you today, but i am working on one for wednesday. its gonna be another BoxMan (sorry to those foks missing the Chibi Darkester) cuz i made a promise to someone that i would. ^^

so instead, kick back for a few minutes and enjoy this barrage of wit and humour that is Mystery Science Theatre 3000. this is a compilation of the funniest bits from 3 of the shows. enjoy!

Uhm…yah. Hi. ^^;
Uhm…yah I didn’t update on Sunday. Sorry bout that. dunno if any of you noticed but whatever. I just had no drive on Saturday night to write up a post, and I had work on Sunday morning. So yah…

Anyways, I'm posting now. Huzzah I hear you all shout! H’yeah right.

Since last Wednesday my life has been pretty much same as always. Work…exercise…yeah, that’s about it. Mum says I spend too much time on the net and watching anime etc, and really should focus more on getting ready for the RAF selection process. I understand what she’s saying, but I figure the next few months will be the last chance I get to update regularly, so I'm trying to make the most of it all whilst I still can.

However, I am pushing my training up a notch. I'm running a bit further and hefting a bit more weight. I'm also trying to get my research up to speed. ^^

I'm also practising my driving too. Not that I really need to but I got keep my skills brushed up for when I take my next test.

This Friday I have to work in the Dining Room at work. I HATE working in the dining room. It also means I have to be up really early. Dammit.

Uhm….yeah, well, I really cannae think of anything more to update with. I'm being really non-productive recently. I wanna say lazy, but I get up early most mornings and I exercise most evenings, so lazy doesn’t quite cut it, but non productive does. I got a list of fanart I wanna do, a dozen DVDs I wanna watch and I also got a bunch of MP3s on my laptop that I wanna put on my MD player, but I never get round to doing it. I always end up like…doing nothing. Or being on the internet. ^^; tis a double edged sword, the net.

Huzzah! The RAF careers office just called and told me they have my paperwork back finally! So I can call to arrange an interview for them on Monday. Finally! Lets get this darn ball rolling! w00t!

Glad everyone liked Box Man. I may try to get a picture of the real deal sometime this week. XD I was actually surprised to see that he got the reaction that he got.

Anyways, here’s the last comic I thought up for boxman. I’ll go back to doing CDDs soon.

Everyone should take time to reflect and draw strength for the day ahead. C’mon everyone!

The sound of running water, the solitude…the bathroom can be a pretty calming place to relax and meditate, right?

Random chicken: No Darke, its just you.

Darke: Le gasp! It’s a talking chicken! We must have entered the random-darke-doesn’t-know-what-to-write zone! Me must leave before that GunPla starts quoting Shakespeare!

He also knows the opening lines of Hamlets famous sililoquy…

TOO LATE!!!!!

well darn...
i was gonna have a pretty half-way decent post for y'all to read, but then i read Cee-Kari's post and it made everything else seem...trivial and boring to be honest. ^^;; go and give it a read.

im still gonna post anyway. Y'know. Because.

I got the day off today (i have to go see the dreaded Dentist of Teeth and other ouchie-ness)
but i still got woken up at 8AM this morning by Zoe, a colleague of mine, wondering if i can do any over time. *rolls eyes* not today. but she woke me up so i got up anyway and here i am. ;p

i havnt done any serious exercise recently...i keep going out in the evening, which is when i do it, or else im working. >.<
i did buy myself a nice pair of running shoes the other day though. they're really lightweight, i wanna see how they effect my performance.

On Sunday, in the evening, i went with my brother up to London to go to church. I dunno if many of you guys know or not, but im fairly religious, but that said, i dont really do church anymore. However, my brother had heard about this youth church in London, and invited me along, so i figured i may as well. The church, get this, is held in the Dominion Theatre in Londons West End. so during the week it hosts sell-out performances of "We Will Rock You!", the musical based on the songs of Queen, and on Sundays it hosts this church...and the theatre was PACKED! there were hundreds of people there. the servce started off with Worship, which was really cool. people generally think Worship Music is really lame, but its not always. the music is known as Christian Rock, and its lively, and sounds just like any other rock song out there, just the words are different. After that we had the sermon with this guest speaker, who was from India...he was really funny too. like genuinely laugh out loud funny.
so i had a good time. we were there with a friend of Stephen's who he used to go to college with, Nikola Bedingfield (and in case you're wondering, yes, she is the younger sister of Daniel and Natasha Bedingfield.) she was quite friendly and nice...though she and my brother got on like evil twins. (stephen, i know you are reading this...you guys are evil together i tell you!) if the world is ever gonna be taken over by a single power, it is either gonna be done by Nic, my best friend (Motive: for the sheer hell of it) or by my brother tag teaming with Nikola (Motive: Cuz its there)... 0.o

oh yeah, and yesterday i discovered the true meaning of Irony.
I was coming home from work, and trying to get out of the hospital back onto the main road is really hard, especially if you want to go across the traffic to turn right (we drive on the left remember, so i have to cross oncoming traffic as well as traffic on the far side.) finally i saw a gap, but it was a really small one, but i went for it. Made it ok, but the Van behind me was a Government THINK! Road Saftey Van... if i had misjudged the vans speed i could have been knocked down by a road safety van. ^^;; (note to Alanis: THAT is Ironic, dontcha think?)

so thats been my week-since-saturday.

today, im gonna give you TWO comics! BUT: they are not CDD comics.

here's the First...

The Box Man commeth

BOX MAN!!!

here's a little intro into this new superhero and his wind-swept side-kick...

* * *

Who is Box Man? nobody really knows. The most distinctive feature is the box he wears on his head. His power: total and complete control over all boxes. Yeah, yeah, i know what you're thinking. LAME. but you are wrong. Consider how many boxes there are on the planet. Now consider this one person has total control over every last one. He could manipulate them to work together to form boats, giant robots, huge weapons of mass silliness, and so on. Box Man's power works on, but is not limited to, the following: Cardboard Boxes, Wooden Boxes, Lunch Boxes, X-Boxes, Telephone Boxes (including Dr. Who's TARDIS), Post Boxes, PC Desktop Computers ("b0x0r5"), Shoe Boxes, "Set Top" Boxes (Digital and Cable TV recievers), Control Boxes, Fuse Boxes, Box Rooms, Boom Boxes, Tool Boxes and more.
His favourite Phrase is "Think Outside The Box".

His side-kick, El Tumbleweedo, is of mexican origin and is a year late by my calculations....

* * *

so there. the mystery of Box Man. and before you think i've gone off the deep end...Box Man exists. He's real. Oh yeah. I've seen him...

EEEy mon, you put some ganja in dat dere pancake, a'ight?

this comic (as you may have guessed if you read it properly) was based on an actual conversation i had with Nic on MSN the other night. t'was too good to pass up. and look! Chibi Darke makes an appearance!!

i got at least one more Box Man comic to do, then i'll be back to making CDDs again, with Box Man turning up occasionally. ^^

BOX MAN!!! THINK OUTSIDE THE BOX!!!

later gator!
