   It just got cut off...
For some reason, the beginning of my last post got cut off - I think. It was cut off when my brother was looking at my site.

I visited the Art Institue of Portland today because they were having an open house. It was nice, but big. The director of the animation program was the director/producer of Pinky and the Brain! I know you people probably aren't much into U.S. animation, but I think that's pretty cool.

We also went to Powell's, and I got a REALLY cute little notepad with a little Japanese (not anime-style, really) cartoon girl named Kuroe. I really want to do some "Asylum" art, so I'll list the characters here and you can tell me who to draw! PLEASE tell me who to draw because I need a requet. I NEED it!

Asylum Characters (note that this story is set in the late 19th or early 20th century):

Jun Lian Wei - A Chinese man and a detective investigating murders where insanity was a factor. He has come to the conclusion that - aside from the insanity in general - all the cases he has worked on have a connetion: an organization called "ASYLUM" that intentionally causes people to go insane and commit heinous acts. I know, a crazy idea, right? Well, that's just what ASYLUM hopes people will think.

Charlotte Abbott - a young English woman who is a victim of ASYLUM. She has been convinced by Jun Liang to help him track down this terrible group. Due to the high amount of insanity surrounding her life, Charlotte has taken up the recent study of psychology.

Siegfried Bishop - a young man who, like Charlotte, is also a victim of ASYLUM. He also joins Jun Liang in his chase of ASYLUM and close following of their activities. Siegfried's occupation is as of yet undecided, but he does have some medical skills.

Bossa - A very young girl whom the group meets as they investigate ASYLUM. They find her locked up in a dark room in the back of the mansion of Madame Orsani - a woman driven to madness by ASYLUM. Bossa is believed by Orsani to be a demon child, and Jun Liang believes that Orsani may have killed Bossa's mother. Although the Liang has a shelter for ASYLUM victims, he asks Bossa to travel with his group for his own reasons.

Other items that appear in Asylum are the asylum flowers, which drive anyone who smells them mad, and the devil's clock, a symbol consisting of a spiral with two arrows - like a clock's hands - pointing to a "6" and a "25." These numbers are believed to be evil and hold some special significance, although there is debate over what the numbers represent.

I'm really excited about working on this story! The title is subject to change, but the characters and story are not. So... just gimme a request for art from this, my other stories, or any other anime/manga/game that happens to be listed on my favorites list - besides Deathnote, because I think it would be hard to draw anyone from it since the style is more realistic than most manga. Ja ne!

Prepare for the new, new art!
Shroud, Matt (the guy with glasses) and I went to a banquet (our school's version of a dance.) The photo was so awesome I decided to do a drawing of it - also, I remembered Doodle saying it would look cool. I replaced Shroudcaster with The Oracle because TO is a more active member of the team and we STILL don't know what Shroudcaster looks like exactly. I also added Doodle between RF and The Oracle. I gave everyone their respective hats (I gave Doodle ears and Matt glasses. He wears contacts now.) so they would still be distinguishable as ToonMasta characters... Although I guess I haven't posted pics of all of them, yet...

So, my Crime and Punishment website troubles have still not gone away! I was hoping to have it all resolved, but the site rejects me from the discussion boards! Waah!

Well... I guess I don't have too much else to say... I better get off the internet soon! Our neighbor is gonna spend the night, and should be coming over pretty soon...

Oh! Wait! I DO have new news. Terrible news. Next week - Wednesday, to be exact - I will finally get braces on my bottom teeth. I've dreaded this day for years (literally! I knew about two or three years ago that I'd need them on the bottom, they were just waiting for my teeth to grow in. Stupid slow teeth.)! I'm so angry, and my mouth hurts SO much because they put those infernal spacers in! My teeth aren't crooked, they just lack the direction to come in correctly.

Oh! Oh! I don't know if I said something about this before, but it was the weirdest thing! Last week, when we were renting stuff at Movie Madness, we asked the guy at the counter if they had "They Might Be Giants" (the movie, not the band, as my dad pointed out). All of a sudden, I looked up and the guy who was helping us looked JUST like John Linnell, one of the guys from They Might Be Giants! It was so creepy! The Oracle noticed it, too. Not that any of you probably know what John Linnell looks like, but if you did and you had seen the guy, you would totally agree!

Anyhow, I have to go. The Oracle wants on, so I should probably let him on. See ya tomorrow or whenever.

   Oh, brother.
The Tekken movie SUX!!! I was wondering "Why did I rent this thing?" First of all, hardly any of the cool characters are in it. Secondly, there's not much good fight scenes. Thirdly, it focuses on the rivalry between Lee and Kazuya - and Lee is a MAJOR weenie - and Jun trying to save him. And lemme tell ya, Jun reminds me of a certain Anzu Mazaki from a certain card-game-based series...

The other thing that frustrates me to no end is my Crime and Punishment summer reading. Love the book, hate to do the work. Especially when that work entails logging onto a discussion board to which you do not know your username or password and cannot set up a new one. I'm supposed to post 25 times over the course of six weeks, but now I can't because there's only five weeks left until school starts. I have to do extra credit, which means I have to read another book. Geez.

Oh! but I did get manga! Yay! Actually, the Oracle bought HunterXHunter 4-6 (he has the first three already) and he bought me D. Gray-man 2. Yay! He's the best little brother ever! Except now I owe him, so to pay him back I am paying for all of the KOF game we pre-ordered (his half was $10, about the price of a graphic novel). I've been reading D. Gray-Man, Black Cat, and Deathnote religiously. I like them all so much! I also really like HunterXHunter much better than the author's OTHER work (Yu Yu Hakusho. I have no problems with it, I just like HunterXHunter more). Well, I'd like to take requests to do fan art from any of my series or anything listed on my favorite anime list! Just gimme some, but no yaoi...

The Long, Long, Absence...
I have been gone for a pretty long time! Okay, first things first. The game I got Rice Flinga was Jump Superstars for the DS! Yet another Japanese game! Plus, it's completely Jump-manga themed! Yay!

Well, I went to Rice Flinga's new house twice - once for a birthday party, and once for a sleepover! RF, I love the view out your window. And the booth in your kitchen! My shoes sound like a pony! Ha ha!

I also recently got back from a trip! And it was all centered around me! Hee hee! My family drove up to Vancouver, British Colombia (in Canada) to visit VanArts, which is now DEFINITELY the college I want to go to. We also stopped in Redmond, WA to visit Digipen, which sounded a lot cooler than it was. Basically, you learn really hard things so you can make video games. Although, it is in the same building as Nintendo of America, so that's pretty cool!

In Canada I visited a store that sold all Japanese stuff and the Oracle (my bro) bought "Mario and Wario" the Super Famicom game. It's cool! We also went to a store called "occupied" that sold all these adorable stuffed animals, books, and such from a company called "Yaranzi Yaronzo." According to the storeowner, they are the only place outside of Japan that sells the stuff. I bought a pattern book for making stuffed characters, so I hope I do a good job at sewing them!

My brother and I are on the verge of beating Tales of Symphonia again. We did everything this time (and our characters are at level 146! Nothing can stop us now!) We even beat Niflheim, but we didn't realize that you had a CHOICE to destroy the book of the devil or not, so my brother accidentally said no. Now we'll have to do it all over again. Stupid demons. I love that game like no other! It is so much better than Tales of Legendia. I think it (at least, in the gaming magazine world and such) was way overlooked. Who's your favorite character? Mine's Zelos! I like Kratos, too, but Zelos is funny. Since he was Lloyd's best friend, we got to hear about his past. It's so sad! No wonder he turned out to be such a traitor and hates his role as Chosen! I want to do some Tales art, so give me some requests (I won't draw yaoi, though).

Oh! Oh! Also, I have a really cool new series I'm working on! It's called "Asylum" and it's setn in either the late 19th or early 20th century. It takes place throughout Europe and parts of Asia. I can't wate to put up fan art for it! Once I get some good art done, I'll post it.

One more thing! I discovered the best place ever to find anime to watch! Movie Madness, a store in Portland (where I live) has a HUGE selection, and each rental is only two bucks! Right now I'm renting the Tekken movie (I could only pick out two things and I really, REALLY wanted to see the movie "They Might Be Giants." It's where the band took their name from). Next week, though, I'll probably rent some anime. Yay! So, pleae comment and I'll catch ya next week, probably! Ja ne!

   Whew... Well...
Yeah, so I got back a week ago. I just haven't really had time to post. I was kinda wiped, and then we've been running all over the place, and I've been volunteering at the library, teaching Japanese, and reading Crime and Punishment for school (oh, and I have also been playing Harvest Moon: Magical Melody. I rented it from the video store, and I love it as much as the N64 one!)

I got a really cool new video game, but I can't say what it is until Friday, because I got it for RF, too, and I'm giving it to her as a birthday present tomorrow! So, yeah.

Next weekend I'll be gone from Wednesday to Friday! I'm going college touring in Vancouver, British Colombia (in Canada) and Redmond, Washington (it's near Seattle and the college I'm looking at is right next to Nintendo of America! Yay!) I'm pretty excited. I LOVE Canada!

I didn't do any new art while I was at Crooked River with Doodle. I came up with kanji for some of my characters' names (not the Dream Legends ones) and I made cards for my just-for-fun card game, Jumbo Chibi Card Wars! That's about it, though...

Oh! Last Monday, Doodle and I went storm chasing! There was a BEAUTIFUL lightning storm completely surrounding the town we were staying in, but we were totally safe. It was SO COOL! The beauty of creation...

Anyhow, I wanna take requests. Fan art requests, TMBG song pic requests, requests for some of my original characters (if you know any of them). I know! I'll make a list like Doodle did! Er... I'll have to ask her how to do that first... a list of my stories and characters is coming soon, though!

   I'm a senior!
And by that I don't just mean a senior in high school! By that I also mean that I am now officially a senior otaku! Cool! But how'd it happen? I dunno, but I was super excited!

I'm also super excited becauase tomorrow I go to Doodle's and on Monday we leave for our trip! I've been packing stuff like crazy!

Oh! My high-school band had a car wash today, and I went. It was so hot! They said it was over 100 degrees, and I was wearing a black shirt! Ack! I was also pretty wiped because I stayed up till 3:00 last night (don't know why, I just wasn't tired) and got up at 7:30 this morning. Whatever.

My brother and I bought Super Mario Bros. 3 and Castlevania 2: Simon's Quest for our NES! YAY OLD GAMES! And, by the way, I have two new pictures for you to view! Wow, I got four rhyming words into that last sentence!

Have fun over the week while I'm gone! But don't have so much fun that I'll feel left out!

   The NES is working!
You may not have known this, but The Oracle and I (he's my brother, by the way) recently bought an NES for $30. It wasn't working, so we took it back twice. The people at the store said it was fine, but when we took it home, it didn't work. Yesterday, though, we took it in and the guy explained that the game has to be at the edge of the system, or the power will just flash on and off. We took it home and tried it, and it works!

So, today we want to go out and buy more games! We have Supe Mario Bros. and Duck Hunt (the single-cartridge pack) and Dragon Warrior. We want to get Super Mario Bros. 3 and Castlevania. If you have any suggestions of other good NES titles, I'd love to hear them!

BTW, My new art-types are up, so go check 'em out!

   New art comin' atcha!
Okay! So after I write this, I'm gonna upload four (yes, four!) new pictures that I'm super psyched to show you! I have another, but I'm not done coloring it. I'll probably put it up in a couple weeks.

My more exciting news is this: on Saturday (last Saturday, the 17th) I had my birthday part! My friends and I went bowling and then came back to my house to open presents, eat, and watch Panda Z and Yu-Gi-Oh! That was fun. I miss Yu-Gi-Oh! The good old episodes, not the new crap.

As for presents, I got gift cards for Borders and Target which I used to buy the first volume of Black Cat and the second volume of Bizenghast (even though I don't own the first. I've read the first one, though.) and Big Brain Academy for the Nintendo DS.

Speaking of DS games, Rice Flinga got me the coolest game ever! It's an import called "Osu! Tatakae! Oendan!" and you play as a trio of male cheerleaders (the Japanese kind, not the gay kind) who have to help all these people with their problems. It's super fun, super awesome, and has some really cool J-rock music! I made it to the last stage as Tanaka Hajime. There are two playable characters, Tanaka Hajime and Ippongi Ryuta. Ryuta's stages are a lot harder than Hajime's, and Hajime is cooler looking becasue he's got glasses. Whatever. If you have a DS and some money and are looking for a really great game, I suggest trying to buy it!

Also, my new avatar was drawn by Shroudcaster himself, who has not been on the otaku since September of last year. He gave it to me inside the card he got me for my birthday! The actual picture is bigger, and I cropped that one. Of course, since he gave me the original, I don't suppose he will put it up with his fan art. Oh well. It's very well drawn, and much too cute to be me (although I wish I was that cute). And it doesn't exactly look like me anymore since I cut my hair and dyed it black (although it's more of a brown because I didn't bleach my hair first like the directions said.) I'm gonna dye it again with better stuff once this stuff washes out.

Next week I won't be posting because I'm going camping with Doodle! It's a tradition, and it's fun. I guess I'll post again this week, but I may not have time because I have to read Crime and Punishment for English class. Till we meet again, though!

   It's my last day!
I guess I've gotten out of the habit of writing song lyrics as post titles. Ah well.

Did you see my quiz results? Do any of you like TMBG? Whatever, it doesn't really matter. I do.

I almost got into huge trouble in English today (it's not until next block, but I'll explain). I had an essay due today and I had lost my rough draft. I couldn't do it at home, so I was freakin' out that I wasn't gonna be able to turn it in. I decided to do it at school, but when I got here, the computers wouldn't let students log on! Apparently, they fixed them half-an-hour, so I was able to touch up my essay and I can turn it in now!

I guess this whole event was supposed to teach me to be more responsible with my things. It's not about procrastination, because I didn't procrastinate, I just lost my paper! Anyway, don't let this happen to you or you'll be sorry!

Well, that's all I have to say. Have fun in school, suckas! I'm out in less than three hours! Until tomorrow, see ya!

Tomorrow's my last day of school!
Yay! I had a hard final and a REALLY easy final today. Tomorrow I have an English timed write. Well, I'm having fun.

I played Dragon Quest VIII for about five hours yesterday. It's really fun! There should be more RPG's that are comedies. I mean, it's not supposed to be completely comedic, but it's funnier than other games. I love Toriyama-san's video game work, but not his anime and manga. I got really lost in Dragon Quest VIII. Angelo told me to find this secret passage to Abbot Francisco's house! I went all the way on to the next place because I couldn't find it and got everyone else levelled up by four or five levels (seriously!).

I guess I'm a lot better at RPGs than I thought, just not Final Fantasy games. I'm not good at those... Well, i'm gonna go. Maybe I'll be back tonight!
