There is no mood avatar to express my sense of thoughtfulness right now.
I have nothing better to do than write to you peope and hope that someone reads this. For some reason, I suddenly feel uber-thoughtful and contemplative. I have gained a sudden interest in History, but not in my History class. Rather, I've come to hate my history class because my teacher isn't actualy teaching me anything. Instead of studying historic events, I'd rather study PEOPLE.

I don't know why, I have this strong interest in people's lives. I like biographies, but not long, drawn-out ones. Like the movie we watched last English class about the ife of Poe, for example. THAT was a good, succinct biography. I guess it depends on the person, too.

I would also like right now to apologize. I know you people don't care, but I feel bad that I haven't been working on my TMBG artwork. Seriously, though, I cannot find any kind of inspiration for Mr. XCitement.

CALLING ALL TMBG FANS: I AM DESPERATELY LOOKING FOR INSPIRATION FOR A PICTURE BASED ON MR. XCITEMENT. IF YOU HAVE IDEAS, PLEASE LEAVE A COMMENT OR PM ME. IF I DON'T GET ANY GOOD IDEAS SOON, I WILL JUST SKIP OVER THE SONG (WHICH WILL MAKE ME SAD), SO IT IS IMPORTANT THAT YOU RESPOND ASAP!!!

Sorry for shouting, I just wanted to get some attention from people who are not reading the whole post.

Anyway, I'm going to get back to doing nothing. Or maybe I'll look for some kind of biographical information on someone "cool" (not really cool, I have to keep my "nerdiness").

Until we meet again,
Sore ja mata! (the formal version of "ja ne")

"All that we see or seem is but a dream within a dream."
-Edgar Allan Poe

   Phew... I'm Tired!
Okay... so, on Wednesday and Thursday I was home with the flu. I went to school on Friday, but I had (and still sorta have) a really bad cough.

On Friday my mom ordered my brother and I TMBG's Venue Songs DVD!!! And right now, as I type this, we're downloading the concert they played right here in town! So I'll be able to listen to it whenever and KNOW that I WAS THERE!!! How exciting!

Yesterday, The Oracle (my brother), RiceFlinga, and I went to an animation festival downtown where they were playing a buncha shorts. There was fourteen of them! One was a song by They Might Be Giants that I have decided not to type due to a bad word in the title. I still like the song. Another was called "Moon Girl." It was directed by Henry Selick (The Nightmare Before Christmas and James and the Giant Peach), produced by Laika Entertainment (formerly Will Vinton Studios until it was bought by Phil Knight. Let's just say it's... close to home), and has music by... you guessed it! They Might Be Giants! Then I spent the night at RiceFlinga's house and we had fun watching flash cartoons and making fun of the art of a certain artist on my friends list! (If you don't know me personally, don't worry about it)

So... I'm in our new play! I am Ms. Arrabella Langostino and I'm French (Well, I'm supposed to be French, but I decided that she's French-Canadian instead!) It's gonna be a dessert theatre and it's a murder mystery comedy! Yay!

I've no new news, so I will log off and do something more productive! See ya, FF! It's been fun PM-ing you!

   Because It's Valentine's Day
Well... I was gonna boycot Valentine's Day, but my mom said that since my friends were getting things, I should, too. So that didn't work too well. I don't particularily like this holiday... whatever. Oh! I was gonna post a while ago, but... a couple weeks ago there was a fire at my school. They didn't cancel school, so I was pretty mad. Whatever. Also... um... what was I gonna say? Oh! On Saturday I watched Psycho with my family! I love Hitchcock movies! It really isn't that scary... Anyhoo... That's it... I'm writing this during school! Aren't I such a bad person!!

Song I'm Currently Listening to: Put Your Hand Inside the Puppet Head
Yeah. Old They Might Be Giants songs are weird. Probably because Flansburgh sings more of them and their voices were higher and heck, it was the '80's!

So anyway, I put up the "Man, It's So Loud in Here" pic. I REALLY need ideas for Mr. XCitement. I wanna draw it and put it up by tomorrow, but I don't know if I can!

Corpse Bride comes out on DVD on Tuesday! Yay! Aren't you guys excited? And I know what Laika Studios' next project is! Hee hee! Tim Burton's stop-motion stuff is so awesome!

Oh! I went to the library yesterday (my brother had Don Quixote on hold and it finally came in) and I got this manga called "X-Day." It's about these three kids and a teacher that meet in the school's online chat-room and decide to blow up the school one day when no one's there. It's cool!

That reminds me... I missed my orthodontist appointment yesterday. My dad thought it was at 4:30 and not 4:00, even though it said 4:00 on the calander... So...... I'm out of fresh stuff to say, and I better get off the internet in case my dad tries to call! Ja ne!

   Midterms are over! Yippee!
I have resolved to make more of an effort next term. Meaning I'll do all my homework.
I put up a new picture! If any of you listen to TMBG music, I need ideas for my picture on Mr. XCitement... if I want to keep up the rate I'm going, I'll need it up by Saturday...
So midterms today went okay! I had Philosophy, in which we had a sorta hard test, and English, in which we had to do a "timed write" which is basically writing an essay for 40 minutes. It wasn't so bad.
Have you seen the new cg effect I'm adding to my pictures? It's really easy, and it makes 'em look purdy! I hope Fantasyfreak gets on sometime soon... I'll call her this weekend!
So, here's wishing you a happy weekend (I have a long weekend because of midterms) and an anime-ful existence... That sounded dumb.
Hopefully I'll finish the Evangeleon this weekend. I really like it. I know people have said Shinji is annoying, but I think he's sorta cute. Asuka's WAY more annoying... The show's kinda hard to follow, though. I'll see ya guys tomorrow and (hopefully) be back with another fan art!

   Well... I didn't die today.
That's not my only good news, though! I've started on my Mink Car fanart. The artwork for "Bangs" should be up by the time anyone reads this. I'm doing these in track order, and I'll try to have a second one up tomorrow. That would be for "Cyclops Rock." I hope that in doing this, I find out if anyone else I know on the otaku likes They Might Be Giants and that I may inspire some of you to start listening to their music. I am as I'm typing this!
On another note, I'm taking down my Deathnote wallpaper because it's too hard to read. In its place, I'm putting up (temporarily, until I find another cool anime-related background) a TMBG wallpaper. Please don't get annoyed by my obsession. I don't get annoyed by yours. So... I don't think any of you ever saw my Deathnote background anyway... Maybe I'll put it up sometime, but not now.
Oh! Before I forget... My prayers have been answered! Michelle, the director of my school's last play, announced that we are not doing a musical this spring but in fact are doing a murder mystery comedy! You may not understand why I'm so relieved, so I'll tell you: I told my math teacher, who is also the track coach, that if there was a musical I'd go out for track. When I said that, I didn't realize that I REALLY didn't WANT to go out for track, so the non-musical play is so relieving to me. I mean, if there HAD been a musical AND I HADN'T tried out for track, I'd have to face the track coach every day in math class. Anyway... I've gotta go turn something in online for English and get a-studyin' for my Philosophy midterm! Philosophy is a very enjoyable class. I recommend it to everyone. Ja ne!

   Midterms? Pah!
I know I should be studying for midterms, but I'm not worrying at all. I mean, to me it's basically just taking tests and getting a half-day every day but Friday, on which I have no school!
So I went to the doctor yesterday and found out that I might be anemic. As soon as I get my blood test results back I'll know for sure...
I'm so happy that I got to see FF this weekend! We had fun! We went to Bullwinkle's and my school's art show and the mall, too, although neither of us bought anything... I wish I could hang out with you more, FF...
Oh! I went to the library this weekend and, much to my surprise, learned that they have They Might Be Giants stuff! So we checked out "Gigantic (A Tale of Two Johns)", which is a documentary about them. I also put Dial-a-Song (the only TMBG CD I don't have) on hold, so it should come in pretty soon... My brother also got a DVD of their music videos last Thursday! They were so bizarelly cool and inspiring... So I'm gonna do a little art collection of TMBG-song themed drawings starting with the album Mink Car. My goal: to do a drawing for every song on that CD. Where I'll go from there, I haven't decided yet. Wish me luck! I wish myself creative inspiration and the same to all of you! Until our paths cross again... Ja ne!

   Happy B-Day Fantasyfreak!
So...
I think my subject sums it up! Happy b-day, FF! I can't WAIT 'till Friday! But I do have a very new piece of art to put up. I was going to do it with Copic markers, but
a) I don't know where my Copic markers are.
b) Even if I did, I probably don't have enough colors.
c) I'm more comfortable using colored pencils 'cause I know I won't screw up as bad. So I really hope you enjoy this! It's the first time I've had all my characters (well, original main characters) in one place! Ooh... My friends are all mad at me. I didn't mean to make them mad at me. Shroud, I'm not mad at you (Matt told me you thought I was), I just sometimes don't like to sit with the same people day after day. And Matt's mad at me, too... 'Cause I got mad at him for always talking about Magic cards... Then he went off and said I always talk about Yu-Gi-Oh! and the Otaku, but that's so not true... I don't really LIKE Yu-Gi-Oh! that much anymore... I don't obsessively talk about one subject like some people... Anyhoo, my Philosophy class went on a field trip today! We were supposed to be back after third period, but since the principal is our teacher, he let us go get coffee and talk about our trip and philosophical stuff! We got back ten minutes before school got out (we have four-period days), so our principal told us we didn't have to go back to class. It was exciting. I hope They Might Be Giants have another concert here soon... Now that I have all their CD's, I'd know all the songs they played at the concert. Laika Studios (formerly Will Vinton Studios, based in Portland, OR! Yeah!) are working on a stop-motion movie themed with NEW They Might Be Giants songs... It's so exciting! I hope they hurry up and finish it! Anyhoo... I've gotta go. I have to write a rought draft for an essay about Chillingworth from The Scarlet Letter (by Nathanael Hawthorne) by tomorrow and, you guessed it, I haven't started yet. So, FF, I'll probably be calling you pretty soon. Hope you have your cell phone on...

   Guess who's back!
Oi! Sorry I've been gone so long! Happy New Year ev'rybody! What'd you all get for Christmas (or Hannukah or whatever other holiday you may celebrate)? I'm psyched: I got a keyboard! Not like a freakin' computer keyboard, I mean a synthesizer. The musical keyboard. My brother and I have now also completed our collection of They Might Be Giants CD's, which we started in the summer of 2005. Anyhoo... Figured I'd start the new year off with a new picture. It's from Okage, the video game, so you may not recognize it. I haven't really got a lot to say... I feel like making a film. Wish I had a camera.

Anyway, leave me a comment and I'll leave you with an abastract thought:
There's no "I" in teamwork, but there's no "u" in it, either.

Now go read Deathnote, dang it!

   Yo.
Sunday night I went to a concert. Can you guess who was playing? If you can't, it's fine. I'm going to tell you anyway. I saw They Might Be Giants! The concert was really fun. There was no seating, you had to stand. This wasn't really a problem, except that there were a lot of really tall people in front of me so I couldn't see the band. But I could see their awesome lights show! They opened for themselves with their "venue songs," which, acording to them, "you won't know and probably won't like very much." I liked them, though. The venue songs, I mean. The show was so fun. I went with my brother. They played all my favorite songs, so I was happy. We were downtown 'till after midnight! I'm not a concert person, so that was unusual for me. Our play productions on Friday and Saturday did much better than last week! Thank you so much for coming, Fantasyfreak and Rice Flinga. Shroudcaster, I know you really tried, so I can't blame you for not coming. My weekend was so fun! but I got sick yesterday and still feel pretty crappy. Anyhoo, my brother's b-day is this weekend so he's having a party at an arcade! I have homework, so I've got to go. I'm putting some new art up, too (Just one piece. Sumimasen!)!
