   Uwaah!
Something terrible has happened. I found out yesterday that one of my favorite teachers - my FAVORITE math teacher - one of the nicest guys ever, who really REALLY cares about his students' education - has been FIRED! I'm so pissed right now it's not even funny. And what's more, they won't tell us why. I asked my math teacher (I didn't have the teacher that got fired this year - from now on I'll call him "Mr. B.") why, but he just told us that it's none of our business.
So I'm guessing the rest of this week is gonna be crappy and depressing. Let's see... we learned about Hitler today in History. Kinda weird... I heard from one of my classmates (he mighta been lyin') that today was the guy's birthday. I think that's pretty dang creepy! Also, in Lesson 13 of my math book, there's a problem with a picture of a pentagram. Weird.
So, I am hopefully gonna get off my lazy butt and actually put up my new art (from a couple weeks ago) and take some old stuff... I'm also working on more TMBG things. If I don't put them up here, they'll be on deviantart (on which my name is the same. I'm still ToonMasta). Why don'tcha check it out! 'Cuz I'm not a hotel detective... ah... nevermind... please, somebody else get as obsessed with TMBG as I am... it'd be cool to have someone to talk to...
Also, I got my stitches from oral surgery taken out yesterday. It hurt and my mouth bled pretty bad. I wish I had some Tylenol. Whatever. I'm okay.
For our play practice thing on Tuesday I had to read a funny monologue! I was a girl in this Science Fair who supposedly boiled a cat alive and cut its skin off for a project. Well, it was fun. If any of you know any good monologues I can use (I need one of my own) please tell me!
Um... so I've gotta go now! Please comment! See ya!

   Ugh...
My mouth is really sore from my oral surgery. It went well and I didn't feel anything during the surgery, but now I'm in pain. They've got me on four different prescriptions. One is penicillin, I have two pain relievers (I take a different one depending on how much it hurts), and the last one is an antibacterial rinse. I played Tales of Legendia and watched my brother play Kingdom Hearts II over the weekend. I also did Su Doku puzzles. I have some new art that I will post the first chance I get to use my home computer. I'll see you all later, and I'll personally see you, Doodle 7, on Wednesday! Buhbye!

Hi! I've Been gone a while...
So, this is the Wednesday after my spring break. Last week I had fun! On Thursday, my brother, my family, and my brother's best friend went to Ocean Park, WA! That's the beach! My uncle has a beach house there that he let us use. It was fun! We played board games, watched Jason and the Argonauts and Whisper of the Heart, went to the beach and made a pirate movie, and bought a kite named Mr. High! My brother and I also recently got Tales of Legendia (in the same series as Symphonia) and Kingdom Hearts II! We haven't played KH2 yet because we got it yesterday and had a band concert and lots of homework. But after today, it's the weekend for me! There's still school tomorrow, but I have oral surgery (which sucks)and don't have to come! Plus, on Friday there's no school for us 'cuz it's the end of the quarter. Well, the play was a mega-success! Teachers keep congratulating me! Ask Doodle 7 or RiceFlinga, they'll tell you! Hey, now the only non-otaku member of the ToonMasta team is Matt! Since FF changed her name to Doodle... well... I have to go write an English oral report that I have to give next block that was due before Spring Break! Happy days, everyone!

   Whaddya mean she's sick?!
Okay, first I must say that I am worried. One of our main actresses for the play (and one of my good friends) is not here today. I have been assured that she is coming for the play, but still I worry. Part of that is nervousness about everyone else including myself.
It is so sad that Fantasyfreak can't come next week! Maybe she can come see my play tomorrow... I wish I could see hers. Hey Ff, coud you pm me the dates for your play? Anyhoo...
Oh, on a crappier note, I learned something awful about the Coraline movie: Dakota Fanning is going to do the voice of Coraline! I have not liked her since Disney had her do the re-dub voice of Satsuki in Totoro. BTW, has anyone SEEN the re-dubbed Totoro? I haven't, but I've seen trailers and I know that Dakota Fanning can't be nearly as good as the original dub. If she was Mei, I could understand, but she's not Satsuki enough. So even though Coraline is to be shot in Portland (yay!) and have TMBG music, I can't celebrate knowing Dakota Fanning could possibly botch such a great book.
I'm also in deep trouble in History. That paper I was supposed to write? Yeah, I didn't. Now excuse me while I get back to my Huck Finn assignment for English!

   We're all freaked out!
EEK! Our show opens tomorrow and we're totally not ready! Most of the cast members are wearing their costumes today to publicize. At least they actually made an announcement about the play today, but without our flyers, costumes, and publicity efforts, no one would come to see it! I mean, the principal even got the name wrong!
By the way, I have an account on deviantart.com, too. My name's still ToonMasta, and I will put up different art and poetry there than I do here. It'll be the source of my non-anime styles.
Ugh. I found out something on Tuesday. Okay, on Tuesday AFTER SCHOOL one of the members of my group working on this History paper on jazz comes up to me and goes, "Hey, can you write the paper by first period tomorrow? Me and ****** are doing the power point and poster." I told him I would, but I didn't mean it. I mean, I had play practice until 7:00 and other freakin' homework to work on, too! So now I have to write the paper tonight... I hope I can do it. I have most of the info, but it has to be about five pages. Whatever.
I think I'm gonna change my desktop and avatar again soon. Or at least the color of the font. It's hard to read over Haruko. I feel like talking to someone, but I'm all alone. Whatever. I'll see you soon.

Until then, I'm Ms. Violet, your depressing, gothic, and monotonous host, and this has been Terrible Thursday Talk.

   I'm all gothed up!
I read a good book this weekend. Ever hear of Coraline (by Neil Gaiman)? Well it's good, dang it! It may be a children's book, but I loved it! It's pretty creepy, though. Laika (formerly Wil Vinton Studios) is making a stop motion movie with a little computer animation. I think I've mentioned it before. It comes out next year and has TMBG music! Yay!

As I typed that last paragraph, my friend looked up otaku on wikipedia. I'm not going to tell you what it said, but it's a very negative term and you should look it up. You'll understand why you DON'T want to be called an otaku.

Anyhoo, my play opens on Friday. We're all scared that we're not ready. We have to practice for almost four hours after school every day this week. And now for no apparant reason I must tell you: I'm all gothed up today. So, Ill catch you on the flip flop.

That sounded way past dorky.

   It's Friday!
Friday morning, and I'm typing this in the school library. Our play opens in a week, and no way are we ready!
It snowed yesterday, but we still had to go to school. None of the other schools in our area had school, so I was pretty pissed. During lunch, though, I went outside with my brother and his best friend and we danced around in the snow like idiots. We also screamed "Why Does the Sun Shine? (The Sun is a Mass of Incandescent Gas)" at the top of our lungs. We always do that when the sun is not visible to us.
Also, our school is doing this fundraiser called "Lose the Blues." Until we raise $1,000, during lunch, morning announcements, passing periods, advisory, and after school the intercoms wil blast the song "Blue" by Eiffe 65 (remember? from, like, five years ago?). It's meant to annoy us, but I think it's funny. Most of the people I know sing along with it just to bother other people. If it was "Barbie Girl" or something, things would be different. If it goes on for weeks it might start to get annoying, but I don't think it'll bother me.
You may think raising one thousand dollars is easy, but our school is tiny. Last week when there was the 2A basketball tournament a bunch of people left and even more were sick. We had about ninety students here. I didn't bother coming to school last Friday!
Anyway, until we meet again, be cool, don't do drugs, and always, always, ALWAYS listen to TMBG music!

   So... Hi.
I finally got TMBG's venue songs DVD last Monday (after my last post). It makes me so happy! Last week was so boring, but now RiceFlinga's back, so I'm happy! She burned me a CD of Lemon Demon, on which the first song is Lemon Demon performing my absolute favorite TMBG song, Birdhouse in Your Soul! BTW, Howl's Moving Castle, Whispers of the Heart, and the evil, newly-dubbed, My Neighbor Totoro come out today. Can you believe that Disney has Dakota Fanning as Satsuki? And her little sister is Mei! They make me angry. I also watched the fourth Harry Potter and seem to be the ONLY person who noticed some of the things they got rid of from the book. KH2 comes out on the 28th (I've heard) and DeathNote 4 (which I've already read but plan to buy) hits chain stores everywhere today. Anyway... if my computer let me put a midi up, you know it'd be TMBG. I just don't know what song... Well, whatevs. I better get back to reading my Frederick Douglass thing before English! See ya peoples soon, hopefully!

   RiceFlinga ditched me!
She left all week, and... well, she left. She left me with a bunch of guys all week! And I had an oral surgery consultation today. It wasn't fun, but I got to skip History! Yay! I like history, but not my teacher. He makes a cool subject boring. Ah well... I went to OMSI the other day and saw their animation exhibit! It was really cool and fun, even though it was cartoon network-themed. Anyway... I have nothing else to say. I have to get off and go to third period: No class!!! Then I can read Huck Finn and do my homework before English class! Okay, bye!

Musical Fever and the Disappointmen of Stupidity
I don't know why, but my mind has musical fever. Every song I hear finds a way f working itself into the great big musical in my head! I even had a dream that our school play was a musical instead (featuring the same characters) and that all the songs were abut food. RiceFlinga's song, for instance, was about Haloween candy while mine was abaout Chinese food. RF and another girl from my school were both in the dream musical even though they're not in the lay... Maybe it's because watched "Rent"... (singing) Five-hundred twenty-five thousand six-hundred minutes..(stops singing). So, I'm writing a musical made up of songs from a certain band I like... It's just a spare-time, for-fun thing. I should do fun, crazy things more often!

On another note, I am sadly disappointed by my peers. My HONORS JUNIOR ENGLISH CLASS (about half of them) didn't know that Mark Twain (Samuel Clemens) wrote Tom Sawyer! Here's a reenactment:

B-sensei: Huck Finn also appears in Tom Sawyer.

A-san: So Mark Twain wrote a book about someone else's characters?

Me: Mark Twain wrote Tom Sawyer AND Huck Finn.

(A-san turns to B-sensei for reassurance)

B-sensei: She's right.

A-san: Oh! That's really cool!

This angers me. A similar instance happened earlier in Honrs U.S. History (on Tuesday, same day):

D-sensei: What is one reason America finally joined World War I? (I raise my hand) Yes, ToonMasta.

Me: The deciphering and revealing of the Zimmermann Note to us by Great Britain.

D-sensei: Right. L-san, can you explain what the Zimmermann Note is?

L-san: I could if you told me what it was.
(She actually said this. I am not even joking.)

D-sensei: Just take a guess.

L-san Germany was ging to give us Mexico?

D-sensei: No... Does someone else know? (I raise my hand again) ToonMasta?

Me: Germany promised Mexico that if they joined them in the war they'd give them Texas, Arizona, and New Mexico.

D-sensei: Right.

It was aggravating. I mean, I'm not a generally smart person, but the stupidity of my classmates slightly depressed me. Have you ever been so angry to be surrounded by stupid people?
Here's a quote from TMBG's promotion for Flood (it is not word-for-word accurate):

"Nowadays most albums only have ten songs - or less! This angers us. But instead of cursing the darkness, we've decided to do something about it. Our new album Flood has 19 songs, and that makes our album better!"
