   The Phone Rings at Midnight
I hope folks had a good weekend. I felt like I lost in a taffy pull. The phone started ringing for problemsolving starting Friday at midnight, and continued through Sunday morning. I fell asleep early Sunday morning and woke up Sunday at 2 PM! Well, at least that's over! I got one of my "warning signs" sketched (for a rant) so to be fair to others I'll stick it before a post. I want to get back to putting up some more photos also. The warning sign is kinda of cute.

Tonite, the sunset is beautiful, and though its a bit warm, well worth it to watch the sun reflected in the duck ponds, with palm trees around. Ah, a moment of real life. Someone where I work got a good idea, now we have dispensers that hold duck food, so we can give the ducks something good for them. They are so cute, and I love to watch them

Love and peace to my wonderful friends here. I will try to get about to more sites, and send that sunset moment to you.

The Doldrums
Just saying hi to everyone-- its gonna be a long weekend (weekend obligations-- yuck!) Did you ever feel like a hamster running in a wheel-- you keep going, but don't get anywhere. I guess that's the doldrums i'm stuck in right now, so many things to do, but its hard to get up and do them. When you all have gotten in the rut, what pulls you all out? I could use some suggestions. Actually, right now I feel like I could go back to sleep, but time marches on, so do I.

Hoping you all can have a fun weekend and enjoy. For me, I hope the phone doesn't ring! I'll get around to visiting later.

Numb Brain Day
Well, nothing exciting to note. I have Night Patrol all weekend and that is my most un-favorite way to spend time-- I would rather even do the housework ! (that at least, I can pick the task , and time) Tonite is the monthly Girls Nite Out which is great- the work pace is so fast that I look forward to when my friends and I go to dinner and laugh. That's a real good thing.

Must have more anime---! Trigun Maximum 2 (Death Blue) is due out sometime soon. Well, I guess another waring sign I ought draw is to warn folks of my brain being basically numb--- oh,well.

I hope you all are having a huggly kind of day! Love ya!.

Gentle person's Aggreement
I've read some posts that are disquieting. Art is creative, and can be viewed many ways. It naturally invites different opinions. That can give us creativity, or chaos. Name calling, accusations, inflexibility gives chaos and pain. If people disagree, private messages to settle issues can be constructive. I'm putting a candle in the window to hope our community can be able to "agree to disagree cordially", and work out things directly, and maintain creativity and friendship, because everyone is precious.

Love and peace--
Mamma Vash

The Ceiling is Boring
Spent 3 days in bed with sciatica and my hand again. This is beginning to look like a conspiracy! Well, maybe after this flurry it will disappear (hopefully for a real long time) The old saying is true-- 500 channels, and very little to watch. Actually glad to get back to work. Thanks for the support! I'm going to have to come up with soe kind of warning sign for whines, rants and raves. Surprisingly no ire here-- just glad to be able to move around.

Love you all, and thank you for your kind support. I'll be getting around to visit sites later !

WARNING: whining ahead!
Well, its been a series of those days that seemed to be Xerox copies of each other-- up- to work- home- sleep-- the no fun cycle. Sorry for these bleh posts bu lately there has just been routine business to take care of but at a too fast pace. Sometimes, it seems it would be nice to have someone take care of the house, work etc, but there is a slight problem-- they wouldn't have enough time or resources anyway. Had to postpone seeing the Yu Gi Oh movie-- so this weekend --anime to the rescue! JUst have to carve out time, turn on the answering machine and take time out! What also has not helped is in addition to my hand, I have sciatica-- back pain that runs down your leg. It lays silent for a while, then jumps out at me! That's kind of been the past week. OOO ooh-- the Peanut Gallery (they can be pretty tough)
Gallery: GAAAAAAK--- today are you and Vash having a contest for whiner of the year?
Vash (smiling) I didn't say a thing!
Gallery: (feet rustling) Hey Mamma, at least open the door and give us a head start on the weekend!
Vash : ZZZZZZZ (too early)

OK-- whines over! Must make some signs to warn people. What kind of plans are you all making for the weekend. I hope everyone is safe and sound after the double blast on the East coast!

Have a wonderful weekend, because you all are so wonderful. Despite what happens, friends bring the best to us. Love you all.

What ?
Finally heard from my family this am--- they live on the water in Tampa-- they evacuated, and everyone was safe. Thanks for reassurance, Last Guardian85. Dad has some health problems, so I was concerned.

Did you ever get the feeling that machines talk together when we are sleeping? Yesterday the phone went out, then the computer started doing some very strange things, the stereo stopped and the TV when on and off. Checked the circuit breakers and stuff, otherdevices on the same line were OK. Everything waits for my husband to go off on a business trip. Years ago he started to do the unthinkable-- teach a woman to use a POWER TOOL! When I tried to use the drill to put up baskets to hold craft stuff-- I was scared--- no on was there but the poor parrot. LOL I actually feared I would electrocute myself so I wrote my will on a piece of yellow paper. I donned goggles, rubber soled shoes, and even rubber gloves. When my hub came home, he said:"That wasn't so hard, was it" GLOMP! (LOL)

Well, today I want to see the Yu Gi Oh movie. Has anyone been watching Rave Master? I want to sample more anime (though Trigun-Bebop still is my fave, especially Yoko Kanno's music! Listen to the Wolf's Rain CD-- its cool).

I am wishing Love and Peace to all my friends, and that trouble and anxiety stay away from your doors.

   Hurricane!
Short note this morning-- Hurricane Charley is headed for Tampa-Clearwater -- where my sister and father live. Both live near the water. I am shaking badly inside but keep walking steady, try to keep on task. My husband is on his way to Chicago also.

Please think optimistic thoughts-- I hope the hurricane makes a turn, and fizzles out. I'll be back later in the evening. Thanks for being good friends.

Back in the Saddle Agin
Well, here I sit with the paperwork monster evilly grinning at me. He has certainly been quite busy during my vacation. If you hear grunts and groans, the Peanut Gallery is not happy with the prospect of a late night, and the whimpers are from Vash , but if it is a late night, a donut would work magic.
Vacation was wonderful-- I went to Virginia, and seeing tall green trees standing together closely, smell of pine is so different from California's dry season. We had to drive carefully down rural roads, as deer strutted everywhere. The one thing I'm glad we missed was a LIVE skunk in the middle of the road. Husband and I do like history-- we went to the Manassas battlefield which was very sombering. To think what that land has witnessed--- Then we went to air and space nuseum. It is truly awesome to see Mercury, Gemini, and the space shuttle side by side. When I saw how small the Gemini capsule was, I commented that butt fatigue seemed inevitable. Everyone laughed, stating they thought so also. It was quite overwhelming-- the progression from the Wright brothers era, to space flight. And they had simulators too! (could not resist). So here we are, with much papers to chase. Well, I posted a new pic (the Trigun "kids"). Leave a comment if you see it.

It's good to talk with myO friends today-- you are all special. Check out Caprice's art work-- its really neat!

Milkycat-- warm healing sunrays and sweet dreams, Panda-- warm fuzzies and hugs to relieve the aches, Zen Origato-- may your muse continue to inspire you, Ozy J-- many more fun days through the summer, Silver Falcon--may the fountain of your enthusiasm continue to flow, Thrush Battersea--find your tune, and dream with it, Caprice-- a box of sharpened pencils for more art! Yami Loni-- a rainbow for colours, a Happy Birthday, and let your humour continue to roll! TAG-- a great week Kamiya Usagi-- keep dancing, and have a joyful day.!

I'll be around to friends sites during the evening. To all my friends, Love and Peace.!
