Hello!
Well, it's kinda humid today, and I feel a bit tired. Even the parrots are pretty quiet! Just popping by to say Hi to my friends. Nothing going on right now, no art, no new photographs to post, possibly next week. Hope you all are having a good weekend, and that no one is having bad weather! In 2 weeks, I will be going to Chicago for 3 days. Hope that good things are coming your way!

Da Birdies !
I have been enjoying watching these little finches on the mesh sock-- it didn't take much time for them to find the feeder, but my neighbor also has one, and she had had hers up for a month before me. Anyway, I want to share these little guys:

I found all the DVD of Descendants of Darkness-- I saw part of it, and it looked pretty good, so I figured this would be treat time. Cosmic Sailor-- love the idea of a villainous gopher (perhaps out to conquer the world!) Happily, the grass is growing back pretty good, and he didn't get my persimmon tree!

Today is not as hot as usual-- and that is a very good thing! (usually I'm tired and don't even want to venture out to get the groceries!)

Well, hope you like the little finches! Maybe the energy to draw will return! ( Oh, when?) Hope the weekend is good!

The grass is growing!
I should have taken a picture of the mess that Caddyshack, the gopher, and the mole made of my backyard. Half of the grass died, and a part of the yard was turning into dust, like the desert. But that's what Southern Cal really is. Finishing up watching Ghost in the Shell SAC 2-- one thing that seems a bit sad is when you come to the end of a good book, or good anime series.

What is irritating is when you get into a new manga series, and it never gets finished! Trigun max has 11 volumes, but I think in Japan there is one more volume that doesn't seem like it will come here. oh, nuts!

I hope a really good anime series will come to TV this fall. I'm enjoying Naruto-- still think that Full Metal Alchemist was the best recent series-- pretty good story! Ghost in the Shell has great art, the story is a little tougher for me to follow, but its good.

Schedule has been increasing-- once I get home, generally fall into bed. It gets a little monotonous!

Well, a little later I will try to post a picture of goldfinches. I have been feeding them outdoors, and they are so pretty to watch-- tiny yellow and black birdies.

Well, catch you all again later!

Another day -- another penny!
Been kinda hot, so I have not been doing much lately. I have been watching Ghost in the Shell over again to try and catch some of the subtler parts. If anyone else enjoys this anime, can you tell me-- is there a difference between a ghost and a soul, and a conscience? I find this somewhat intriguing about this series, and also wonder if this might be a translation issue or cultural issue....

I seem to catch up on anime series after the hulabaloo (sorry, but I seem to fall asleep real early)/ Guess I am waiting to see what the fall brings.

I have been feeding goldfinches, and have been getting loads of them. I hang up a mesh sock looking thing, and pour seeds into it, then watch the fun. Their songs are so sweet, and they are so small, but fun to watch.

Hello to wonderful friends! Hours have been real long-- hope it settles down to reasonable soon.
Good thoughts to all!

Huh?
I just noticed how many typos I make. After I add comments, sometimes they don't seem to make good sense-- sorry! Forth of July is coming-- any one have plans for the day. I will stay local this year--probably go to the local fireworks display. It's starting to heat up-- guess I should look into a birdbath for the little finches that visit. They do have such a sweet song. Still watching Ghost in the Shell, 2ng GIG. If anyone has been watching this series, what is your interpretation of what a "ghost" is? Doesn't seem quite easy to understand for me. But I', enjoying the series- really like to art style. In the days before CG, I wonder how they painted cels without lines showing.

Tonite, I think I'm going to watch the history channel-- 've been watching Ice Road Truckers, driving heavy loads far north, on roads made of ice. It has been very interesting... especially to watch from the comfort of my bedroom.

Well, I hope you all have a happy Forth of July-- stay safe-- but enjoy! I'll include a little picture that is part of a fountain from the WWII memorial in Washington-- thought is was interesting.

Surf City USA
It was a strong debate where to go on the weekend-- I wanted to drive and listen to the radio... so I picked Huntington Beach, which is called Surf City USA. I am accustomed to Fllrida beaches, and love Ft De Soto- white beaches, lots of birds, lots of room-- California beaches are brown-- they have some mineral in the sand, and pretty crowded. But they also have these pier to walk instead of the rock jetties of the East. And it was hot- so I didn;t stay long...but I got some pics to share.

I wonder if anyone has drawn anime charas surfing? Have you ever surfed? I used to body surf, and tried to surf once, but fell off and almost got clocked by the board (many years ago) so I don't think I am quite ready to try that right now.

ITS HOT! Yucky and stinky! So I'll share a pic of the lifequard post on the pier, And get a big soda and head for my DVD's!

Later, dudes! (sorry, could not resist that one!)

Cars!
AAACK! Somehow, I think cars, computers, cameras, anything that uses electricity lays in wait at night, thinking how it can disturb humankind! Yesterday, when I woke up, just felt like I didn't want to go to work that day, but I did-- it's far from me. Well, I got in the car, drove in as usual--- lights began to light up on the dashboard, the radio went out, and luckilly as the power died, I was able to roll into a parking spot at work. I had to get a tow truck-(shudder because it always takes about an hour and it was hot!) Well, at least it will get fixed and I have a litle trucklike thingy for a rental that works. After all, I need to get extra outdoor bird food for my new little buddies, as well as food and toys for the parrots!

Big M (my other half) is running around for foregn currency- 3 countries, 3 continents-- for about a month. Canada, Netherlands, Japan., then Washington DC.

Well, the graduation party was much fun! My friend has a pool, and huge backyard. The party was a nice size- so everyone had fun, and nothing got overly rowdy. I was invited to "stay over", and we enjoyed watching TV adn stuff. I will have to bring an anime to show my friends and have a little party with it some time.

Slowly getting back into watching my anime-- this week is Ghost in the Shell 2nd GIG. The story gets complex, and sometimes is ironic when you look at current affair. But the art just POPS! Especially the backgrounds! This one gets added to my faves pile-- still love Trigun, Bebop, and especially Yoko Kanno's music--- that has been very helpful and healing.

Not sure what to do this weekend--- need to work on the house, but maybe a trip to Huntington Beach with the camera may be a better idea. That is also known as Surf City USA-- some nice restaurants, beautiful pier, some shops-- so I guess we'll see. Yes, still hard to get started and stuff, but pushing myself along-- and working to keep focus foward. Life is what happens while we are busy making plans.

Again, thanks to caring friends--- you are all too cool! Will have to add a picture of the parrots!

This is the big bird- Ramana, a double yellow head Amaxon.. she is actually quite shy, and lovey-- her favorite toy is her shadow!

This is Big Guy (because he is so small) (actually his nick name). He's the talker (and biter!) but he kisses, and is really cute-- no one can mess with him! but he's erally entertaining.

Whew! This was a long post! Anyway, you friends do rock!

Put one foot in front of the other, keep going
Well, its Sunday, and the weather is actually quite nice in So Cal--- 79's and low 80"s. Usually, you could fry and egg on the sidewalk by now. My friend's daughter is graduating today, and there will be a get together, so I will be going later, and this should be very good. My neighbor gave me a bird feeder for very colorful little birds (goldfinches, purple finches). It's a little sock you fill with see, and sometimes about 8 birds land there, the sock twirling, and all the birdies looking quite satisfied, like they where riding a carousel while getting treats. I took a photo, and struggled for 2 hours with the computer to try and post it to photobucket. I had to copy it, and eventually bring it to another computer so I will post it today. So the laptop I guess will need to get repaired. I can't even describe the strange things it does... but it does keep me busy. It just seems hard to get started.. once I move, though I keep plodding...so eventually I get there.

I just want to thank friends who have been very warm and supportive-- I know that they each have much to contend with! So much love and hugs I send out, and hope to find a box with my sense of humour in it! Anyway--- here are da birdies!

Business as usual?
Well, right now the only thing that is going onward is showing up and doing my work, then going to bed at night. Exciting life, huh? It's still a little too hard to feel any excitement for anything--- I make myself go to events, but later the feelings return that things are passing by , and I am still frozen. Sorry for the negativism, but there is not much else-- Big M will be away for a month starting soon, so another communication blocked out. Well, I'm alive- that's about it for now.

Numb
Well, I have returned, head spinning around. It is quite the ultimate change- go to Florida for a funeral, then to Illinois for a wedding. Luckilly, for part of the wedding, my husband Big M and I were photographers so that kept my mind busy. When quiet times come, I still feel turned upside down. Thanks to many friends for their kind wishes. I am back to work, but I feel like a robot during quiet times, and often just numb. Now is gathering up everything when you have to go away for a bit, like retrieving the mail from the post office (ours isn't open on Saturdays!), retrieve the car from the shop from the hit and run, and the last thing is to bring home the parrots from boarding. But things just still feel strange, and probably will for a while. Just have to see what develops. Have a good weekend , my friends.
