   Answer to yesterday's challenge!!!!
Here's the answer....

My brother and I are so different (in music tastes) that some people think we are not related. I like J-pop, electronica (I love M83! ;-p)while my brother likes rock, metal (the works). He likes Black Sabbath as well. And yesterday, he just happened to have their song "Paranoid" on while I made my MyO entry/post thing. So yea, the answer is:
"Paranoid" by Black Sabbath

I don't really like them, but for some reason I wrote the lyrics. Bleh. There's some truth in their songs, but I still believe there's subliminal meanings too. Hmm...interesting. Anyway, there's a chain letter thing going on in MySpace about a petition to cancel/get rid of/do away with a site that sells kittens stuck inside bottles. It's very sickening, these people who do terrible things to little cats. If you have the gut to see the pics, here's the site that we are trying to get rid of:

www.bonsaikitten.com

It's so disturbing that people leave comments on their guestbook saying "I love the bonsai kittens!" Another teacher left a comment about her buying a bonsai cat and showing it to her kindergarten class. Here it goes:

From Raid Flaming Date: Fri, 14 Sep 2001

As a kindergarten teacher in suburban Illinois, I am always looking for unique educational opportunities. I believe that your products would have a profoundly positive impact on my class. The children have a fairly good grasp of simple shapes (triangle, square, and so on). But I have been searching for some time now for materials to introduce the subject of solid geometry. Children naturally love animals. Can you please send me pricing information for a complete set, consisting of: one sphere, one cube, one cylinder, one pyramid, and (if feasible) a dodecahedron. Please bear in mind that I am writing on behalf of a public school, and our funds are limited. I will probably have to reach into my purse to cover the costs. Do you have an educational price list? Are there discounts on bulk or group orders?

   Guess the band
Do you know to whom these lyrics belong to?

People think I'm insane because I am frowning all the time.
All day long I think of things but nothing seems to satisfy.
Think I'll lose my mind if I don't find something to pacify...

Can you help me, occupy my brain?
Oh, yeah...

I need someone to show me the things in life that I can't find.
I can't see the things that make true happiness, I must be blind...

Make a joke and I will sigh and you will laugh and I will cry.
Happiness I cannot feel like love to me is so unreal...

And so as you hear these words telling you now of my state.
I tell you to enjoy life, I wish I could but it's too late...

(It's not anime, pop, rap, or punk)

Confused: To go or not to go?
I'm so confused!!!!

My lil bro's friend's older brother (who is a friend of mine) is rounding up 10 people to go to this year's Anime Expo in Anaheim. It's gonna be in July. Supposedly, we're going to get a hotel and stay there for the three days the Expo is on. I've always wanted to go to the expo since like forever. But the thing is that I have no money to pay the ticket, or the hotel, or to spend in the expo (i know i'm gonna wanna spend a lot). My parents want to do something special for my graduation, but I don't want them to because they'll spend money that we need to pay off for other debts. And this Anime Expo offer is very tempting. I have always wanted to go, especially with my friends. If we go, we might dress up as the students from "Battle Royale"...lol. That's just an idea. I'm afraid to ask my parents because I know they'll say a straight up "no". So i dunno what to do. Miss another expo? I guess so...

   Senior Awards Nite
Last night I went to the so called Senior Awards nite, described to be one of the most pretigious events in the school. Anyway, I was so thrilled to get the CSF (California Scholarship Federation) Honorary tassel, pin and cord that I get to wear with my graduation gown on graduation day. I graduate June 17th!!!! I worked my a** off while I was in CSF, always doing what I had to do. I was thrilled to get the recognition. ^_~

So yea, I didn't get n e scholarship money coz I didn't apply for any this year. LoL! Out of a class of 567 seniors, only 40 are going to a university. Most are going to the military, trade school or community colleges.

So yea, all went well. Tomorrow is the band banquet, something I'm very nervous about. I'm hoping nothing goes wrong and everything goes well. This year, the officers (like me) had to organize everything. I'm crossing my fingers everything goes o.k. and hopefully there's not a pissed off parent like there was in years before. ^^'

Well, the week is almost near the end, and there's still so much to do! >.<

HOLLYWOOD STARS AT OUR SCHOOL TODAY!!!
We had a school assembly today and our guest speakers were ex-gang members and founders of the organization "Suspect Entertainment". Their pasts are quite interesting and it just comes to prove the importance of friendship.

The main founder of "Suspect Entertainment", whose name was Manuel, was a gang member himself. He was hardcore about strengthening the 'family'(gang),and was the 'boss' of his neighborhood. He once had a confrontation with a member from an enemy gang member at a gasoline station. The enemy gang member took out a gun from his shoe. Both sides exchanged threats and shots, but no one got hurt. In one occasion, Manuel got in deep trouble with the law and was nearly sent to 13 years in prison. He did some reflection of his own and realized that the only ones by his side was his mom, girl friend and kids. None of his so-called "gang friends" was there to back him up. That's when he decided to get straight and take the 2nd chance of freedom to make someone out of himself. As a kid, he wanted to work in the film industry. He ended up working at Toy R' Us. He liked his job because he got to work with toys, toys he never had growing up. Now he was able to take toys home for his kids. Then he got serious about his dream and went to Hollywood to look for a entertainment related job. In the end he decided to study business and opened his own company, "Suspect Entertainment." He dedicated himself to help others who were in his situation, who wish to leave the gangs and follow their dreams of becoming Hollywood stars.

One day, this guy came looking for a job and Manuel immediately recognized him: HE WAS THE ENEMY GANG MEMBER FROM THE GAS STATION ENCOUNTER!! They exchanged handshakes, tossed their differences away and became good friends. This guy's name was Frank and he was there at our school too. He was the comedian- had a good humor about things that happened in their gangsta days. He says that he can't return to East L.A. because the gangs still recognize him there. But he's clean now and enjoys the Hollywood spotlight. Whenever he and his family wanna go to eat in East L.A. they have to go 2 cities over just to eat at Denny's, because that's how serious it is, being an ex-gang member still endangers your life.

So anyway, they were kewl and awesome people. For those who wonder what "Suspect Entertainment" is lemme explain. You've seen their actors in "Fast and the Furious", "Training Day" and "S.W.A.T". Yes, Suspect Entertainment looks for ex-gang members to star in Hollywood films. So all of those gang people you see in films with the bald heads and tattoos, they're real ex-gang members turned actors by "Suspect Entertainment".

I couldn't leave w/o their autographs of course. Being there in the ghetto of Downtown L.A. and East L.A., I know what life is like there. Many of my relatives live there. It's a war site. No one is safe at all. You have to watch your back 24/7. You don't know if you will ever comeback home. I'm glad that "Suspect Entertainment" is there to help those who wanna leave and be someone. Some are born into the 'hood and have no choice but to grow up as gang members because that's all there is in those ugly areas.

   My Sunday
Yesterday was fun.

I went to my friend Jonalyn's house because it was her 18th birthday. The food was delicious! Her mom makes great filipino food! There was this little purple cake (I don't know what it was called) that was so good! I ate some delicious lumpia and some pizza and barbecue. For fun we played "Speed" with our cards, then she taught me some new other card games. I had a blast watching the kareoke; some people didn't wanted to sing to they b-boxed with the microphone. Others tried to sing the songs in tagalog. LoL! My friend Jonalyn got a score of 99 in one of the songs. She's a great singer!

Towards the end, I just hanged out in her room. Some of her friends from church came; it was fun meeting them. They were very nice. I went home around 10:10 pm. Started my homework, back to the same old routine.

Bleh...

I don't wanna go to school tomorrow! Waa!
