   ...
I haven't updated in a while.

Well everything seems to be going ok. School starts again soon. ugh. I don't want to think about school. This upcoming school year is going to be hectic. Even more than last year. And what's more stressing is that I have to get high grades or else I can't continue that school next year. >.< I don't want to be part of the statistics of kids who drop out of college. I don't want to drop out. I actually want to graduate from college. I guess my self-esteem got lowered a bit last year. My grades weren't what I expected, even if I gave it my all. So I'm just scared that this upcoming year will be the same even if I do my best. I have an average GPA but in order to keep my scholarship, I need it even higher. So it's not like I'm getting kicked out. It's just that my family won't be able to afford paying for my education, and we're talking about thousands of $$$. I need the darn money. It sucks being poor =(
So what else can I do except just give it my all next year? I hope my grades reflect my efforts this next year. =/

So, enough whining.

I've been watching With Hunter Robin again online. I'm up to episode 8 right now. I watched it a long time ago on Adult Swim. And now I'm jusr re-watching it.

Well not much else has been happening. It's just that college money thing that has kept me worried all summer.

   so yeah
I changed it into a new theme. This is all just an effort so my text is more visible and so that it doesn't hurt your eyes when you read it.

Well I have some good news and some bad news.

Let's start witht the good news, since it's a bit more longer.
After a year long band retirement, I returned to my old high school band to play with them for the local town parade. The parade was for the grand opening of the county's largest fair. It was fun. I just kinda 'jumped' into action and all that. My little brother is a member himself (he's band president) and he gave me the march that the band was gonna practice for the parade. Well, I got the march in May. Since it was fairly easy, I practiced it one or two times in June and then tossed it aside. Neh, I thought, it's an easy march. I don't need to go to the practices in July, I said to myself. I know how to march, how not to get off-step and all that. I could memorize it in two days, tops. Cocky me. Before I knew it, it was already August and August 5th was fast approaching! So on Wednesday, I set out to memorize it. On Thursday, I surprised some of my old band friends. They were relieved to see that I was gonna join them since they were having difficulty getting a decent number of kids to march at the parade. Thursday was the official day to show up for practice. Whoever showed up, they were going to be allowed to participate in the parade. Well I did. I expected my marching skills to be forgetten in the nearly two years of no marching. But once I jumped in, I got the feeling of it again and I was another bandie, just like I was when I was a senior. lol!

So Saturday came. I had my music all memorized. We stepped off at 10:30 am-ish. It was fun ^_^. lol. A lot of memories came back, like the cheering of people, the Drum Major's hand and whistle commands. Lol!

The parade was over and we went to the buses to put our stuff away. The best part of going to this particular parade is that we get free admission to the biggest fair in the county. Yayuh!

The fair itself was fun...and exhausting. A lot of walking and a lot of people! It was also very hot. Ugh! lol.
Check out all of these people!

There was some unusual sights too. Such as this deranged mascot.

And some interesting arts by little kindergarteners. They draw way better than me!

An immobile guy. He looked like a statue!

The guy's name was Sam.

There was an arts and crafts expo too. There were these wooden toys. Boy where they fun!! Even if we now have digital toys, these little wooden gadgets grabbed the attention of tons of little kids. Even me! I was hooked!

There was also an awards ceremony for all of those who participated in the parade. Yes, we got money for going!

Now, onto the bad news.
Some family that my brother and I know is going to get deported back to Mexico. It's not fair! After 20 years of living here in the U.S., 20 years of working for this great country, they get kicked out for being indocumented. For 20 years, they tried becoming legalized, but lawyers never helped them and instead robbed them thousands of dollars with the promise that they were going to get their papers. This is a family with whom I've eaten from the same table. Only the married couple are indocumented, but their 5 kids are U.S. citizens. However, because they're minors, they're also going to Mexico. I'm sorry but that's just f*****.

   HEY!!!
Hello! I'm back! It's been a while since I've updated, but here I am again!!! ^___^

The weather here in So. Cal has been very hottttt!!! It's been over 100 degrees in some areas. I live on the coast and the weather around here is never more than 80 degrees (F). It's usually 65-74 degrees. Houses around here (well, at least the very old ones like mine) weren't built with air conditioner because it wasn't necessary. We get nice weather 365 days a year. So, in this heat wave, we've been getting temps up to the late 80s. Sunday it was 84 degrees, here in the coast. We didn't know what to do. The beaches were packed by people who were from out of town. So what we did was just go out to the store where they actually have A/C and spend the day there. We went to Borders. I love it there. I could spend the entire day there =D

So yeah. Fans and A/C's were sold out in EVERY STORE IN TOWN. So there's none to be found yet. Neh.

Right now it's nighttime and it's still hot. Ugh. So that's why I haven't updated in a long time because my room is just too hot during the day and night and my comp is in my room. So yeah.

Anyway, July 28th was my lil' bro's 16 b-day ^^ Yay!
I don't know if you guys remember a long time ago (um, i think it was earlier this month) when I said that I was gonna draw him a Cowboy Bebop pic. Well I finished it and gave it to him and he liked it. He said he was freaking out because the pic looked exactly like the original pic, lol.

Here's the first stage:

It was a rough sketch and I liked it the first time around. I first drew in the black border and the vertical black lines. The vertical lines had to be measured out by 2.5 inches. I had to be careful to draw them straight. The process took me two days: to draw the border and lines. And four 30 min days to draw the sketch.
Didn't continue to the second stage for 2 weeks.

Stage two:

Drew it over with a black permanent marker because it's the blackest color possible in a marker.

^ this is the comparison. The pic I was working on was a screencap of the Cowboy Bebop intro. My printer had run out of color ink so it have me this magenta color instead of a red color for the background. Since it was a screencap I had taken, the pic was blurry.

The final stage!:

Yes I was pleased with the results. I finished the marker thing in less than one day. Lol.

   yay
Congratulazioni Italia!! Italy wins against France in the final of the 2006 World Cup tournament! =D

Zinedine Zidane was close to a clean retirement, but minutes before the end of the 2nd half of the overtime he got a RED CARD for headbutting this Italian guy. So he got kicked out of the game. The game was tied 1-1 and so they had to go for the penalty kicks, where Italy won 5-3 in the penalties.

The next 2010 FIFA games will be held at South Africa. FIFA decided to award an African nation the opportunity to host the World Cup as a recognition of the development of soccer in this continent.

   lol
Hey! I'm back. What have I been up to? Um, nothing much. I'm drawing this Cowboy Bebop pic for my brother's b-day. He liked this one picture he saw online, but he wanted it bigger so that he could hang it in his room, so he told me to draw it bigger since I can duplicate a drawing with good accuracy (hey, I'm not bragging. That's what my brother told me =P). So I barely got around drawing the outline and darking the outline with a black marker. Neh. I've have to color in small segments and then take a break with the marker because the smell is too strong. XP

I've downloaded Ergo Proxy's eps. 1-10. mwahahahahaha!!!!! There's more to go, but I have to wait until they put them on the website thingie.

So far the series is very interesting. The last episode (eppy 10) ended with a cliffhanger. I need to find #11-12. lol =P I'll eventually end up buying the DVDs once they're out in the States. The series is very good!

The World Cup final is today!!!!
WHO WILL WIN?? FRANCE OR ITALY???

I dunno to whom to root for. Eee. I guess I'll just watch it for entertainment purposes, not that I'm going for anyone. I usually root for the underdog.
