   How Saturday went
Aah! Saturday was all good. It was the Air Show day at the Air Base. Here's a recap:

So I wake up at 4:30 am to get ready to go setup for the band's fundraiser at the Pt. Mugu Air Base. The band was gonna have a food booth for the Air Show and I had signed up to volunteer. I'm not a bandie anymore but I like to still comeback and help them out. So my brother and I get to the base at 6: 00 am and we have to pull up to the check in booth so they could let us in. They tell us we're an hour early. We're all "What the-?" According to the Band Prez. we had to be there at 6:00 but the Base guy said that all fundraising ppl got to get in til 7:00 am. So there we wait for an hour. I was annoyed with whoever said to get there at 6 am. Grr. Anywho, we get to get in after all. My bro's friend, who is the asst. Drum Major was lost and didn't know where to go to get the stuff we were gonna sell. My bro and I ditched him and went looking around the area where all the little booths were at. There were several ppl setting up. Something that stood out for me was the fact that there were a lot of soldiers around. I felt like they had their eyes on us civilians. It was nerve wrecking. LOL!

Anyway, my bro's friend found us and we located our booth and began setting up the things we were gonna sell: Chuck Burgers. Haha! More bandies came at around 8:00 am, including some bandie parents. We had enough ppl to run the place.

My bro grilled the fat, thick burger patties while I wrapped the burger in this waxy paper. I had the easy job =D

Our shift ended at noon, so my bro and I walked around the booth areas and see what other ppl were selling. Some were selling souvenirs and others T-Shirts. There were mostly food booths. We got bored and headed back to our band's booth and we in what else we could help out. We never realized we had the best place to watch the airshow. The runway where the airplanes and jets took off was right infront of us.

The downside about the Air Show was the weather. A lot of planes couldn't perform coz the marine layer was too low. The low clouds were a threat to the airplanes, especially the jets. The famous Blue Angels couldn't even perform! They do awesome spins and formations and other daring stunts. They're blue and yellow jets that often travel faster than the speed of sound. But because the weather sucked, they didn't perform. They're the highlight of the event!

We left at about 3:40-ish after they announced that the Blue Angels were not going to be performing.

I never realized how expensive we were selling the burgers. Before we left I had to check out the prices hanging in the booth's corner. WE WERE SELLING THE BURGERS FOR $6.00!!!!!!!!!!!! WATER BOTTLES FOR $3.00!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hey, we didn't set the prices. We were all amazed at the "expensive-ness" of the food.

Haha!

Another good thing was that I met up with my friend Anna. She lives in the military air base too. We had a good talk and all. =D

Here's some pics from last year's Air Show...notice the better weather!

Has this ever happened to you??
At first when I read the name of the anime "Escaflowne" I thought it was pronounced "Escaflown". Until I saw the anime I learned that it was actually pronounced "Escaflown-eh", with the "eh". XD hahahahaha!!! The same thing happened last night when I caught a glimpse of Neon Genesis Evangelion. I thought "Evangelion" was pronounced "Evan-jell-ion", like "jell or gel( hair gel)", but then to my miserable surprise I hear they pronounce it "Evan-gell-ion", with the hard "g", as in "gate". Gaaa! Now I wonder what's the proper way of pronouncing "Princess Mononoke"....is it "Mononoke" (silent 'e') or "Monono-keh"? :-I

   OMG....
So far I haven't really had a class session, well besides my Bio class. For Bio we just took a quiz on the lectures and that was just it. The Prof. let us go like 20 min earlier than usual. After Bio, I had to go to my Freshman Seminar class. I go and I find that all the kids in my Freshman Seminar class were leaving. I asked what was going on and they said that all the Freshman Seminar classes were meeting at Samuelson Chapel for some convocation. We went and to our surprise there were no more seats. It was all hot and stuffy too, so we all bailed. =D Hahaha! We left before our advisor saw us there. Yeah I know, we're bad. BUT at least we got the program for the event coz I heard that the advisor was gonna ask for it. Eh, oh well. So I come back to the library to kill an hour or so. NExt class at 11 am is my math class. I get there and yeah, the kids are waiting and such and no teacher comes. Everyone is studying for the quiz we were supposed to have today. 11:30 am comes and still no teacher. SO we all jam. XD We're very bad!!!!!

   FRIDAY!!!
So this morning as I went to school on the N-101 freeway I noticed the slight congestion in traffic up ahead, a bit past T.O. city boundary, so I had to get off the freeway a couple exits before the one I usually take. I think I heard that the 405 was gonna get closed off temparily coz Prez. Bush was gonna come to Simi Valley's Ronald Reagan Presidential Library (that place is AWESOME!) to talk with L.A. Mayor Villaraigosa about stuff and much of the traffic was gonna be pushed into the 101. Grr, I almost got to school late >.<

Had a quiz today for Bio. I think I did okay ^^'.

Tomorrow Saturday there's gonna be an Air Show at the Point Mugu base. Bwahahaha! I'm going to go and help out the band set up a booth so they could sell some goodies for the Air Show. So yeah, tomorrow I'll be helping them fundraise some money coz they wanna go to Hawaii next summer and since I still have connections with the band teacher, hehehehh...I might end up going o.~ LOL!

Got this from my friend Monica!!!!!!
9 Things I Hate About Everyone

1. People who point at their wrist while asking for the time.... I know
where my watch is pal, where the hell is yours? Do I point at my crotch
when I
ask where the toilet is?

2. People who are willing to get off their ass to search the entire room
for
the tv remote because they refuse to walk to the tv and change the
channel
manually.

3. When people say "Oh you just want to have your cake and eat it too".
Damn right! What good is cake if you can't eat it?

4. When people say "it's always the last place you look". Of course it
is.
Why the hell would you keep looking after you've found it? Do people do
this?
Who and where are they? Gonna Kick their asses!

5. When people say while watching a film "did you see that?". No Loser, I
paid $12 to come to the cinema and stare at the damn floor.

6. People who ask "Can I ask you a question?".... Didn't really give me a
choice there, did ya sunshine?

7. When something is 'new and improved!'. Which is it? If it's new, then
there has never been anything before it. If it's an improvement, then
there must
have been something before it, couldn't be new.

8. When people say "life is short". What the hell?? Life is the longest
damn
thing anyone ever does!! What can you do that's longer?

9. When you are waiting for the bus and someone asks "Has the bus come
yet?". If the bus came would I be standing here, dumbass?

Well, it's finally Thursday -_-....

   Here at school again
Awwww, I miss the rain right now. It's cold and cloudy and I want it to rain. Yeah I know, I sound weird for wanting rain O.o but yeah =D HahAHA!

I've got a conference for my English class today. Bleh, the Prof. is gonna read one of my essays that's due this Fri. I know she'll find all kinds of mistakes coz I kinda rushed through the essay. I also have a math quiz. I know I'll do good coz math so far is my best subject. For Genes and Development I have a quiz on Friday. There's so much material I hafta know >.
Last nite's Paranoia Agent was awesome. They're restarting the series again but I doubt they'll continue it. Usually, after they finish a series they just restart the series and only show the first 2-3 eps and then a whole new series starts. Yesterday's was interesting. I still don't get much of it but I enjoy watching Lil Slugger appear outta nowhere and whacking someone. I'm sorry but I can't help it. ^0^ It doesn't show anyone being beat to death with a bat. It just shows him ready to whack someone who's all in a bad emotional state and then it changes to the next scene where the person who got whacked is in a hospital recuperating and in a better mood. Blah.. "MHz" was one weird ep but I guess it was my favorite along with "Etc." Well enough of that nonsense.

That's all for now!! ^_^

   lol!
The raining has stopped a bit here. It's just rather cold. Brrr! HahA! Day off today, but still a lot of work to do. Gotta write a resume thing for college 101 class or something like that, I have no idea what to put in it. I don't have any relevant work "skills" coz I never have really "worked" anywhere. HahAHA! ^0^ ....ok, zip it. Anywho I think of something. I hear there's a new hurricane out there in the Mexican Gulf called Hurrican Wilma. It just turned into a Category 3! O_O I hope it doesn't touch down in Florida or any part of the south. They've had their bad share of hurricanes this year already.

No picture?...Unlucky.
You are a water fairy. You are trustworthy, honest,
caring and loyal. You make a good friend but
you can be overprotective of people sometimes.
Isn't the picture lovely? I told you it would
be.

What type of fairy are you?(with pics!)

I'm at my school's library right now! Woot woot! My bio class was cancelled today! =D YAYUH!!!!! It's 9: 04 am right now. My next class doesn't start til like at 11:00 am =D

On my way here to the library, I spotted this small yellow and blackish bird. I was like "Whoa O.o" coz back home there's no yellow and black spotted birds. It was so cute. At first I thought it was this yellow lizard or something in the tree branch. HahA! =P

   This is for Joel (R.I.P)
I'm dedicating this post to Joel. He was a good friend from Jr. High all the way til High school. He died last year on Oct 17th, 2004. He was only 18. I just want to let him know that he is not forgotten. The CIHS class of 2005 will ALWAYS remember him. He was always cheery and had a big smile on his face despite the fact that he was suffering inside. We all just wished he could've allowed us to help him out when the going got tough. The '04-'05 year was never the same again without Joel.
