   Hello Everyone!!!!
So how's it going? I haven't updated much recently. Reason is because I've been quite busy these past several weeks because 1st semester is wrapping up and the profs. are loading us with work. Haha! What else is new?

Well Dec.6 is my mom's b-day. Yay! ^_^ Although there IS a conflict on her birthday date. See, my dad says that her b-day was on a December 6th because all of her papers said that and my grandpa (my mom's dad) registered her being born on December 6th 1956. BUT my aunts and uncles (my mom is the youngest among her siblings) all remember her being born on December 24th 1958. Weird, isn't it? My aunts and uncles say that her actual b-day was on December 24th and that the one of Dec. 6th is wrong. Well who knows who is right. What matters is that she has a b-day sometime in December and she prefers it to be on Dec 6th. I personally like the Dec 24th one because it's right before Christmas. Heehee...

Well about school matters...

I have a final midterm this week along with an actual final for my Bio class which is gonna take place next week. Also a guest speaker presentation for my Political Science class on Wednesday, a final exam essay thing for English that will be due next week, a final for my math class next week, uhhh....I think that's it. Lol! So that will keep me busy for this week and the next . I'd prefer not to do any of this but...I have to. Booooo!!!

Lol!!

Oh yeah! Last Friday I had to turn in this five page essay for my English class. I began and finished it in like 4 hours on THURSDAY night. When I got it back on Monday, my Prof. was impressed and told me that it was my best essay this term. She wrote all kinds of positive remarks on it and she gave me an A! I didn't think that it would be that good of an essay because I had rushed through it. I think what helped me was gathering all of the data beforehand so I had all the info that I needed ready. Hehe. I also think that I work better when I'm under pressure. It's just me to begin working on a project on the last minute, but I won't be doing that on my next essay due this Friday.

On Saturday Dec.3rd, it was my hometown's Christmas parade. I went coz my bro was gonna play with the high school band I played with when I was in high school. Watching the parade was fun =D. Since I was always in it, I kinda forgot what a parade looked like from a spectator's view. lol!

Well that's all for now, I think. Hope you all have a great Tuesday!!

Random pic...Enjoy!

   Hello!
Wow! Long time no see!!

Well just reporting that I am still alive and well. I was just a bit busy this week but now since it's the weekend, I have a little time to update.

Hmm...not much to report. I talked about my horrible presentation ^^' on Monday...hehe....

Anyway, the rest of the week went ok, I guess. On Tuesday, I had the day off so I went to the public library to check out some books I needed for my essay that was due on Friday.

Wednesday went by ok...Thursday...well had to finish the essay...went to sleep like at 1 AM... Friday...it was a rainy day, hehe...yay!

Friday was also the premiere of Avatar: The Last Airbender's 1st season finale. IT WAS AWESOME AND ACTION PACKED!!! OMG!!! I almost cried on some parts coz they were so sad... T_T....

That's all for now!

   boo!
Monday sucked.

I couldn't sleep at all the night before. Let's just say that my 6 day weekend got spoiled on Sunday for school work reasons. I hate it when stuff comes up at the last minute. Boo! Anyway, I was so tense that night that I couldn't sleep. I just stared at the clock and watched the hours go by.

Monday came and I had a group presentation for my English class. I was very nervous, I don't know why! T_T...

Anyway...I've had some random thoughts...

Why is that humanity has always tried to find out what is beyond the boundaries, limits? I mean, humanity has tried to sophisticate itself by creating the mathematics, the sciences, government, the arts, and all that stuff that we find in our society. There's so much competition in society. If you don't try hard enough, you're left behind and society moves on without you. You eventually end up without a home. If you want a house you need the money, and if you want the money, you need a good job, and if you want a good job then you have to educate yourself. Why is that everything has to be so complicated? Afterall, the world is just a ball of water floating around in space! >.
Anyway...that was just some random stuff =D

   HAPPY THANKSGIVING EVERYONE!!!
Image hosted by Photobucket.com I just wanna wish everyone a good Thanksgiving Day. Today we can all be grateful for all the good things we have received throughout the year. We should always be thankful for the things we have but sometimes we take them for granted and never really feel thankful. Today is the day to reflect and be thankful for all the things and loved ones we have because someone around the world may not be as lucky as us. The other day at my school we had a guest speaker from Colombia talking about the conditions people in poverty have to go through. She explained that many don't have access to an education and are under constant persecution by the government. That made me reflect at how lucky I am to have a roof over my head and a loving family. Usually those are the things that we take for granted and never really miss them until they are gone. So today is the day to feel thankful for all that ^_^. I'm thankful for a bunch of stuff such as perfect health for all my family and friends, getting past financial difficulties, graduating from High School and making it to college (it's sad to think that many were not so lucky...that's why I'm thankful for having made it that far) Also, for my dad staying safe on the road (he's a truck driver and many times he's had to drive during the night with only 3 hours of sleep...very dangerous), for my mom's health (she would get very sick T_T...), for my older bro's health (he's sick too), for all the difficulties that God has placed before me because I know that in the end they're all meant to make me a stronger individual, for all the answers He's giving me while I desperately searched for them, for making some awesome new friends here at MyO *glomps all of u*, and for everything else that helps my life run smoother that I may have taken for granted before. So that's the stuff I'm thankful for. There's some more but that's the short version. Haha =D ^_^

   YYYYEAAAHHHH!!
I finally get my Thanksgiving break! No classes all week until Monday. Aww...but on the Monday I go back to skool I have a presentation =/ I will try to use these free days to catch up on my readings for biology and some of my fictional stories =P

So to recap:

*Weekend

Nothing interesting happened. Just an average weekend. Oh yeah, Saturday's Adult Swim was pretty kewl:

There was no Inuyasha, so it started out with Full Metal Alchemist. Uh...it was called "The Sinner Within". Winry finds out who killed her parents and that Hughes is dead.

S-Cry-Ed

Intense battle scenes. I almost wanted to cry when Ryuho got all beat up and was dying. But thanks to that Scheris girl (yes I barely found out today that that was the way her name is spelled... correctly)he didn't die. She sacrificed herself for him. Yes...sad stuff and all. *sniff*

Samurai Champloo

"Misguided Miscreants" left an interesting cliff hanger. In this eppy we learn about Mugen's past. He grew up around bad influences and that's how he became a killer. Mugen seems willing to put all of that behind him. Personally, I don't think Mugen is a bad guy. As tough, mean, and bad-mouthed he is, he is willing to help a random 15 year old girl find the Samurai who smells like Sunflowers. Hey, by the way, what do sunflowers smell like??????? I dunno...anyway, I think Mugen is kewl for sticking around Fuu and helping her find this sunflower samurai. I think that if Mugen was a real S.O.B. he would've left her a long time ago to go back to his dangerous lifestyle. But in this eppy, the one guy who used to be his 'friend' asks him if he would like to go back to killing and all that, and Mugen says no because he needs to help Fuu. So I think that was awesome of him =D In the end, Mugen agrees one final job for the big guy who used to be his friend, but it ends up being a trap! The ship that Mugen was told to board is blown up...did Mugen blow up too?? Find out next this Saturday!

Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex 2

Uhhh....I forgot what this episode was about ^^'

Neon Genesis Evangelion

In this ep, Shinji realizes that his dad Gendo gets along better with Rei than with him. Shinji seems hurt (of course he's hurt, been so for like 10 years!!!) by this because his father never seems willing to establish a father-son relationship with him and at the same time has an awesome friendship with Rei.

So those were my lame summaries....

*Sunday

I watched Avatar: The Last Airbender's newest episode "The Waterbending Master". It was good. After this eppy will be the hour long season finale in two weeks. YAY! All I can say is ACTION!! Yes, Avatar is no anime but it SHOULD BE!!! Its animation is of the highest quality for a Nickelodeon cartoon and the plot is so suspenseful! I has a lot of twists and turns in plot, creating a huge climax! Avatar is for all audiences! It's one of the highest rated shows out there! It has surpassed Spongebob >.

Today is November 22nd....

For all Enya fans, five years of waiting have paid off!!!

Image hosted by Photobucket.com

Today her new album comes out! I know a crazed Enya from the east coast who went at midnight to the store to buy it! Now that's devotion. She's really crazy! >.< She's 18 years old, like me, drives a car that says "ENYA" on the license plate, has MET Enya's sister Moya Brennan and own the entire music video and CD collection. That's not even all! She's like the #1 fan out there. Hahaha...

   I'm back
Lol...Yeah, sorry I didn't post yesterday. Anywho, I was busy studying up for my Biology class. Ugh...I don't like doing the readings, but I have to :0) Well I've been quite busy and I will be busy until the Thanksgiving Break T_T....I have no class today (Thursday), but I have to study for my Bio quiz, do my math homework, come up with a thesis statement for my paper for english, then go to a meeting for Political Science. Friday is much of the same. I have to schedule my classes for next semester by Friday too. Ugh.... >.< The only highlight is that there will be no class for Pols-Sci this Friday. Yay! Lol! I'm drinking a cherry Icee r/now =P Oh yeah, I got to visit some new friends' dorm rooms. They're pretty kewl. It got me thinking I should live in the dorms next year...but I still like living at home. Hehehe...I think I'm poor. This year, my financial aid was only enough to cover my rather expensive tuition. Maybe I should transfer to a lesser expesive school....I dunno....oy.

Bobas are good...

   ok...
Ok...

*Tuesday Afternoon

Got home from school, I was just chillin in my room, watching some TV at about 3:45-ish in the afternoon, when I feel my room kinda shake and I hear double booms coming from the west, where the beach is at. I was like "What the-?" The first thing that came to mind was "EARTHQUAKE !!! AAAAHH!!" Then I thought about it being some kind of meteor entering the earth's atmosphere at a supersonic speed. So I brushed it off and said "Whatever". But what kept bugging me was that strange rolling motions came and went. I mean, when this happens, you feel all dizzy and you think that it's just you. But then my mom came in and she said that she also felt it. The booms from deep in the ocean kept being heard (I just live like 2 miles from the beach). It's just something you can faintly hear, like the distant echo of an explosion. The dizzyness felt the same as when you go up and elevator. Scary stuff. So we all thought it may have been a small earthquake that struck deep in the ocean. Just as long as we don't get a tsunami, we're alright, ya kno? If not, then we gotta head more inland. Anyway, at the 6 o' clock news they said that Japan had been hit by a 6.9 magnitude earthquake at 4: 39 EST, which would make it 1: 39 PST here in Cali. How did we feel it almost 2 hours later? Well my guess was that the energy of the earthquake had to travel through the earth's crust and then hit us, or something like that. The travel time must've taken at least 2 1/2 hours. I'm just saying that what we felt was a shockwave from Japan's earthquake. Unless....it was a different, separate mini earthquake? O.o

Here's the article (I copied and pasted it from Yahoo! News)

Strong Earthquake Shakes Northern Japan By HIROKO TABUCHI, Associated Press Writer
1 hour, 4 minutes ago

TOKYO - A strong earthquake shook northern Japan early Tuesday, triggering a small tsunami that struck coastal towns about 200 miles from the epicenter. There were no immediate reports of damage.

The quake, with a preliminary magnitude of 6.9, hit at 6:39 a.m. (4:39 p.m. EST Monday) and was centered off the east coast of Japan's main island of Honshu, according to the U.S. Geological Survey and Japan's Meteorological Agency.

Tsunami waves of 12 and 19 inches hit the city of Ofunato, and 4- to 12-inch waves generated by the quake struck at least four other towns in the area, the agency said. Tsunami waves are often barely noticeable in the ocean but can rise to greater heights once they reach shore.

Ross Stein, a geophysicist with the USGS in Menlo Park, Calif., said the swell amounted to "a surfable tsunami."

The quake hit at a depth of about 15 miles and was centered off the coast of Sanriku in northern Japan, 330 miles east of Tokyo, the USGS said.

Japan is one of the world's most earthquake-prone countries because it sits atop four tectonic plates. A powerful 7.2-magnitude earthquake shook northeastern Japan in August, injuring at least 59 people, triggering landslides, damaging buildings and causing widespread power outages.

There was no destructive Pacific Ocean-wide tsunami threat following Tuesday's quake, based on historical data, according to the Pacific Tsunami Warning Center in Ewa Beach, Hawaii.

However, earthquakes as large as Tuesday's can general local tsunamis capable of causing destruction along coastlines within 60 miles of the epicenter, according to the center.
