“Did I ever tell you about my friend Jim, he had a tomato thrown at him, most tomatoes don’t hurt cuz their covered with skin, this one did hurt cuz it came in a tin.”
Hiya y’all.

I managed to see an episode of “Hi Hi Puffy Ami Yumi” last night. It was quite funny. I liked the way they would resort to Japanese words every now and then. LOL.

Nothing much happening here. Ive brought Midori-chan with me today. Its good, cuz Midori has Manga downloaded on her, AMVs, my stories and i bought a couple of DVDs (Trigun and Patlabor 2 movie) to watch if I get too bored. the only downside is that Midori ways a ton. dang, she needs to loose weight. ^^

...

And now, I would like to, if I may, turn to the subject of friendship.

What is it to be a friend? The dictionary defines friend as: “a close companion, one warmly attached to another.” So how do we decide who our friends are? The people I hang out with? Companions yes, but perhaps not as close as you guys, ones who share my thoughts and feeling on a regular basis. I feel a warmer attachment to you then I do most of the people I see on a regular basis. Yet we have never met. We don’t know each other, only what we show of ourselves to one another. We were brought together by a common interest, and somehow that seemed to be enough to form tight bonds between us. I, for one, will never forget some of the friends I made here online, but why? I don’t even know what half of you look like, yet we slip into our roles as companions every time we go online. So what does this mean? In the “real world” gender and race, sexual orientation and religion are often barriers that prevent people from perhaps getting to know each other. The internet transcends these barriers, and we are part of a global community. Why are we friends? Because of a common interest? Perhaps. Or is it because when all the surface layers and common prejudices are torn away, we can truly understand each other, something that a meeting in reality could perhaps never do. To me, it doesn’t matter if you’re English, American, Philippian (sp?), black, white, Asian, male, female, bi-sexual, homosexual, Goth, grunge, preppy, outcast, geek, Christian, Muslim, Jewish or Jedi. We see each other here stripped of all contexts and only see the person for who they are. And I think that that makes us better friends here than most friendships in reality. Of course, we can have deep and tight friendships in reality too, but this is a little more honest, and thus means a little bit more…don’t you think?

Hey, I'm rambling. Sorry, it’s just that I had that on my mind and wanted to off load it. I’ve seen a lot of you call me your friend recently, and it made me wonder what a friend truly was. I think a friend is someone who we truly understand based on a relationship of mutual honesty and trust. And that’s what we are. *nods*

One final question to pose to you guys. We say in our comments things like *hug* and *glomp*. What I want to know is: if we met in real life, would we still hug each other? Think about it.

Okay, I think I’ve made you think too much. Thinking: BAD! >.<

And Im spent...
...all that energy I had yesterday has left me. poo.

maybe it went back to Mew Wem, eh? LOL.

not alot happening here at the mo. I gotta fill out some forms and send them off and I need to call someone tonight about a fundraiser.

i did watch Gundam SEED yesterday, episodes 36-45 (vols 8 and 9 DVD). It was sooo cool. I cant wait until the final Volume becomes available, but you guys know that already. I also made my Aegis model. its kinda complicated, and the Mobile Armour mode is dodgy, but otherwise it is a cool model. It sits with my Buster and Blitz at the mo. ^^

i was trying to make it last night when my mum came in. she asked me if I had done my forms and i said no. she got a bit annoyed and said i was to do my forms before the model. "welcome to the real world," she said. the real world sucks.

i got it done anyway, and the forms were filled out too, so it aint too bad.

Hopefully I will be going travelling this summer with my brother. i gotta talkto him about it first, but it seems we'll start off in New York, then head over to L.A cuz my bro has friends there. If possible I might convince him to stop off so i can visit some of you guys. ^^
then we'll head over to Austrailia cuz we have friends there, then we come home. *fingers crossed* it will be fun. i just hope I have the money. might need to do some more overtime. ^^;

well, thats all from me today. i see you guys tomorrow.

RELIES TO COMMENTS!!!

well t those who posed a question...

TRAVELLING DISCIPLE: Gundam SEED is an alternate universe take on the original MS Gundam series that aired back in 1979. not a continuation per se. it starts off mirroring the original, then starts to take on its own life. "Gundam SEED Destiny" is a continuation of Gundam SEED, the first Alternate Universe Gundam Series to have its own Sequel series.

LUCIFERS WIFE: I'd defintley prefer a hug to a yell any day. ^//^

Too damn bouncy. HAPPY VIBES!!! *zzapp*
*beeps everyone on the nose*

^^

*achem* and now, a song.
A bold hippopotamus was standing one day
On the banks of the cool Shalimar.
He gazed at the bottom as it peacefully lay
By the light of the evening star.
Away on the hilltop sat combing her hair,
His fair hippopotamine maid.
The hippopotamus was no ignoramus
And sang her this sweet serenade.

CHORUS
Mud, mud, glorious mud!
Nothing quite like it for cooling the blood.
So follow me, follow, down to the hollow,
And there let us wallow in glorious mud.

Hippopotamus Song by Flanders and Swan. theres more to it, but i cant be bothered to post it all up.

phew. finally submitted all my work for the year. English, comms and music coursework all posted off. thank God. nothing left to do other than revise and pass my exams. then im done with this dumb school. *party poppers*

its not long now. end of june-time ish.

of course that means my online time will be drastically reduced. so you will see less and less of me. ill try and keep updating till the end of the year at least, but it will probably be weekly rather than daily.

yeah...

*spaces out*

*blinks* sorry, i went a bit weird for a sec there.

Have a great one guys. see ya on monday!! *waves*

HARRY POTTER= T3H 3V1L
yuk. sorry guys, I cant STAND Harry Potter. *shudders* there are better things about britain then one lame little geeky wizard and his adventures with his high school chums.

ne way...

I just got back from my driving lesson. Man that was scary. give me Luna any day. *sigh* but i really should learn how to drive. my dad says its a useful skill. *shrugs* perhapos it will get easier with time. it was my first session after all.

I've started to notice manga slip into the mainstream here, ever so slyly. Yesterday I was reading the "Metro", a free newsapaper only available in London. They had an article about Yaoi manga, and how it was becoming ever more popular with women. They also had examples like "Fake" and some other stuff by Tokyopop. so there we go. Yaoi is supposedly popular over here. Ive also seen hair gel in an advertisement with the caption: "GET YOUR MANGA HAIR ON!" Its a new gel called manga hair gel, presumably that will allow you to have crazy hair styles like those in manga. My hair is too short for me to test this theory, but im sure many people will have fun with it. *nods*

thats it from me today. I gotta go and finsih these submission booklets, do some more coursework and cook AGAIN tonight. *sigh* shouldn't be too hard, but i really need to focus on my english, as its due for tomorrow. *shurgs* oh well.

Have a great day, whatever you're doing. I will see you guys tomorrow, probably.

toodles.

accorsing to the PMs and comments i seem to be getting regularly, its a cool thing to be british. Its like the latest fashion.

Foreigner: "hey you're british? cool!"

Brit: "But im a nerd and a geek and I want to fight the galactic empire!"

Foreigner "so what, you're british!"

LOL

british accents are sexeh. ^^

heres another link for you to clickty click. Its for a small webcomic called Indietits. Its a small comic about funny named birds (like tits and boobies) making stupid jokes about obscure rockbands and life in general.
THESE BIRDS ARE HIPPER THAN YOU!

and to finish, i would like to share the joke i got on the back of my Penguin chocolate biscuit wrapper:

Q: why did the penguin take toilet paper to the party?

A: cuz he was a party pooper.

i see tres of green, red roses too, I see them bloom for me and you, and i think to myself...what a wonderful world
"Wondeful World" by the brilliant Louis Armstrong

hey everyone. hope you had a great weekend. I did...sorta. the party was good. the rest of the weekend kinda sucked, apart from yesterday afternoon.

The party on saturday was alot of fun. My friend got totally wasted drinking port all night, but that didn't stop me and him climbing on the roof of his garage and talking about stuff. i still got the scrape on my arm from where I climbed up there. LOL. i also got to see friends who I havnt seen in AGES, but it was funny to see how we slipped back into old roles without conscious thought. I was also great to see some of my friends from Townley Grammar School for Girls too. LOL. I was pretty famous actually. I had girls come up to me and go "You're Geography Phil aren't you?" LOL
i was the only male in last years Geography class at Townley, and I went on a week long field trip with them, so im kinda famous around the sixth form at townley.

i still got some of the beer with me from the party. There's probably a rule somewhere that says im not allowed alcohol on the premisis, but thats only if they catch me.

we're getting new windows fitted soon! this does mean I have to move my room around so they can actually GET to the window, but it shouldn't be too bad.

my dad also wants me to paint the outside of the house and my mum wants me to dig up her veggie patch for her. *sigh* its like ive suddenly become unemployed and people think they can give me their odd jobs. I do need to raise cash though.

ive got one week to finish my coursework. fun. not. ive also got driving lesson this week too. ^^

spare a thought if you can for my brother in New York. He's having a hard time finding work.

thats enuff from me today. have a random piccie...

Lets Kick the beat...
"Mushroom Hunting," Cowboy Bebop OST

phew. Im shattered. I only meant to spend a few hours doing the recording, it ended up taking me ALL FREAKIN DAY!!! i was getting sooo stressed, but i finally got it done, and its out the way. w00t.

also my english teacher is finally getting round to going over my coursework with me. bout time too, i submitted the damn thing over a month ago. but shes been "busy". -_-#

so i voted. and it probably didnt make much difference. Yes, Labour got in again. You guys are stuck with Tony Blairs head up Bush's 455 for another 5 years, unless one of them gets killed or goes missing in the amazon or something. i dunno.

it was busy at cadets last night. we had to clean up after last weeks party. eww. there were still half full beer glasses and stuff. it was really manky. but its clean now.
Ive also been given a lot of crap that i have to do, seeing as im one of the most senior members of the squadron now. Damn, i hate having responsibilty.

I think my life has lost meaning (other than manga/anime). i just dont seem to care about anything anymore. School, cadets, snorkelling club, other activities, they all seem pointless. I don't even know why im writing these stories (Daily Circumstance and Gundam SCROLL 3). its not like i get paid or anything to do them, and i really should be revising and studying for my exams. anime is the only thing in my life that really matters anymore.

heh. i knew it. i've gone over the edge. LOL.

*shrugs*

eh.

my mate, Nick, is having a party tomorrow. Its for his birthday, even though his birthday was the 20th April. ^^; all his artist mates are going to be there and all his female friends too. Im gonna be soooo out of place, but im going cuz Nick and I have been mates since we were like 6 or 7, and i dont wanna miss his 18th celebrations. It starts at 8:00pm, which is when i get off work, so im going straight there.

have a great weekend guys, whatever it is you're doing. *winks* take care.

toodle pip.
