Life Is Good (Part II)
Ok, so here's the continuation of my last post. I got to most sites. But I kept running into a lot of interruptions. So, if you visit me and I didn't visit you, let me know. I apologize.

Anyway, I have been like super busy with my new job. I'll explain what I do. Ok, most of you know I moved back in May. Well, the property management company we were renting through at our old house (which we had rented for 3 and a half years) hired me to do cleaning. We clean some commercial businesses (like offices and such). Then we clean some residentials (homes that people live in). We clean our own rentals when people move out of them. And then what is keeping us really busy this time of year is our vacation rentals. Where I live, Coeur d'Alene, Idaho is a major tourist location here in Northern Idaho. So, we have some pretty fancy vacation homes that are rented out during the summer months. And here's the big news. Just a week ago I was promoted to Training Supervisor. Basically, I'm training to take over for the current Supervisor because she's 6 months pregnant and is leaving in September. That's when I take over as Supervisor. (This happens to me a lot.) As much as I hate to admit it, I'm really good at this line of work. So, consequently I usually move up fast. It means better pay. But my dreams of doing Web Design are pretty much gone. I can't even find the time to create a simple page on the side. I have no spare time. We have been working 5-6 days a week. And 8-10 hour days. My paychecks are good. But I'm beat!

The good news is that since my paychecks are good, we have been enjoying days off a little more. And the best news of all. Well, it's good news because something not so good happened first.

A couple of months ago our Playstation One broke. Ok, so we are a little behind in the gaming department. We have a Nintendo 64 and had the PS1. But when that broke, all we had was the Nintendo 64. And of course, we have a good friend from our last neighborhood, who's 18 (his name's Josh), who has an XBox. He'd bring that over almost everyday. But I wasn't into any of the games he had. (Not that I have time to play games anyway.)
Okay, so here's the good news I was getting to. My husband goes to a yard sale and bought a PS2 and two games. The two games are ATV: Offroad Fury 2, and Devil May Cry 2. I'm really excited to try out Devil May Cry 2. Though, I don't know when I'll have the time to play it. Eventually, I'll check it out. Plus we have my favorite PS1 games: Legend of Dragoon (all-time fave), and Final Fantasy VIII. I will probably get my hands on FFVII eventually as well. My 7 year old loves Final Fantasy, and he'd really like to try 7 as well. And of course we will probably get Kingdom Hearts 1 & 2. We also have a few other PS1 games to play.

Anyway, that's what's been going on with me. I haven't seen much anime lately either. I just hope all of this hard work will pay off later in life. I know what I'm gonna do when I retire. I'll be sitting either watching anime or playing the video games I didn't get to play. ^_^
And I'll be too old to do much housework, so my kids will have to clean my house for me and do my laundry and such. Paybacks are a bitch, huh? LOL! XD

And to top it off, we have been hitting record high temps here. We don't have central air in our tri-level home. Just a small room air conditioner in our bedroom. The reason we have it in our room is because it is the room that is upstairs and faces the west. It gets the most sun exposure. So, it's the hottest room in the house. It stays quite cool with the AC, though. ^_^

Well, I'm gonna end this post. I was a little late in posting it. And I'm sorry. I don't know when I'll have the time to update or visit again. I'll drop in from time to time. I hope everyone has a happy, and safe 4th of July. (Or atleast those of you who are from the U.S.) For those of you who are not, have a great day anyway. ^_^

Take care my friends.

Life Is Good (Part I)
Ok, so I'm finally updating again. I just wanted people to know that I will be around for the next several hours. First off I'm gonna go on a site visiting spree. Then after that I will update again later this evening. I will try to update at 9 p.m. Pacific time (or 10 Mountain, 11 Central, 12 a.m. Eastern, for those of you confused about time zones. Also, these are U.S. time zones, if you are not in one of those, sorry I can't explain what time that will be in your time zone.) Sheesh... now I forgot what I was going to say. Anyway, I'm around for a while. And I'm anxious to see what all of my friends have been up to. So, I'm gonna go check it out. Then I'll fill you in more on what's been going on in my life.

BTW, I changed the music. Sorry, Iuka. I know you just came back and liked Another Brick in the Wall. But it had been on there for ages. It was time to make a change. My current music choices
are loosely based on how I'm feeling about a few things.

'Nuff said. I'm off to visit sites now. And I'm sorry I haven't been around much. I missed you guys!

Take care.

Not dead... yet...
Hey friends!

I'm sorry I haven't been around much lately. I have been working full time at a new job. This is my second week there. Between that, and family, and still getting settled into my new house I have been swamped. I miss coming around here and visiting with my friends. I think about you guys every day. I'm hoping to spend some time on myO this weekend. But no promises. I'll try my best, it's all I can do. I have to admit, the month of May wasn't a very good month for me, especially the end. Though, my youngest had her fifth birthday yesterday (May 31). Days go by so fast for me, I feel guilty at the end of the day putting my kids to bed when it's their birthdays. I find myself wishing it could last a little longer for them.

Well, I'm sorry this is a short post. But I have much to catch up on. And I deeply apologize I have not, nor will not be able to visit. And I thank you to those who visit and take the time to read this. I miss you guys so much.

Take care my friends.

Moving sucks!
I'm all moved into my new house and I now have internet. This is going to be a short post for now. And I won't be able to visit anyone. But I promise, in the next few days I'll be sure to visit anyone who commented on the last two posts of mine.

Anyway, though I'm moved and am just about finished cleaning the old house. I still have a ton of things to take care of. So, I don't have much time for play. Which makes Caprice a dull girl... or perhaps just a grumpy one. ^_^

I hope all is well with you. I miss all of myO friends a lot. I'll try to clear up some time for myself as soon as possible. Take care.

Well, our house sold. And just to clear things up to anyone who might be confused. We are renting this house. We don't own it. We are not the ones selling it. So, we've been looking for a new house to rent. Well, it turns out that most likely we will be moving into a house that is just one block over, and one block back. About a quarter mile away. We are pretty excited about it.

I had a pretty hectic day. But it was mostly good. I also found out that I may be starting a new job soon. What's funny is that it would be working for the Property Management company that we are currently (and soon to be no longer) renting through. Yep, they like us. ^_^

I'd go into full detail of everything I did on Wednesday, but I decided I'd rather not. I'm not really feeling up to a bunch of typing.

Oh, I was going through some papers the other day and I ran across this story that I had started a couple years ago. I may post what I've wrote so far one of these days. Also, I'm hoping to write more of it eventually. When I read it I found myself quite impressed with it. Though, I don't feel I have strong writing skills.

Before I bring this to a close I wanted to mention that, as I type this, just a few more visits and I'll be at the 2500 hits point. Yay! Thank you all for 2500 hits over the past 22 months. I know I'd have a lot more visits than that if I hadn't had so many of those long absences. But uh-well. ^_^

Have a good one. Take care.

Thanks (revised)

I need to add a few more credits. Many thanks to Yensid and bunraku for perfect attendance during the Otakubowl. I was thinking they missed a day or two during this thing they want to. What was it?... oh, that's right... Sakura Con. Yes, that's the one I had wanted to go to. *sniffle, sniffle*
Hmmm, maybe I was just so jealous that they got to go and I was subconsciously counting them as absent when they weren't. Hehe, I'm kidding guys. I'd never do that. You two are wonderful people. Thank you so much for taking the time to vote each and every day of the Otakubowl.

And the person with the most winning votes was Wolf of Darkstar (57 winning votes), second place was BlAiZeD (55 winning votes), third place was devilsadvocate (49 winning votes), fourth place was bunraku (42 winning votes), and fifth place was KitsuneTsuki (37 winning votes). Sorry, but I'm only going to fifth place. If you really want to know how many winning votes you got, let me know. Oh, and that was out of a possible 76 winning votes.

One more thank you goes to CosmicSailor. He did not get the opportunity to participate. But he was a big help in the early planning of this. He also gets full credit for the idea of the "Ultimate Clash Between Old Generation and New Generation". Yep, that was his idea. ^_^

Oh, I didn't get a chance to mention how my weekend went with my brother-in-law and his wife visiting. Most likely I didn't mention it because it's something I am trying to erase from my mind. It was horrible. After their visit I'm not too happy with my brother-in-law, and I hate his wife. Yes, I said hate. I cannot stand that woman. She is the dumbest 37 year old woman I've ever met. The two of them came here from Arizona visiting various family and friends living throughout Washington and Idaho. Well, apparently they came here expecting to get sick from us. They kept talking about getting sick. Then finally on their last day here, she said that she was feeling sick. And so they were getting suspicious that she had a cold. My 14 year old daughter coughed. That did it, they said she had a cold and that's where they were getting sick from. So, after they left I found out that she had told my 7 year old son that he got her sick! I am furious! My kids are not sick! They do not have colds. We tried to tell them that there is a lot of pollen here, especially pine pollen. It can get pretty bad in this area. Ugggh... *shakes head* Ignorant people. I'm sorry to unload this off on you guys. But it does help to get it out.

Between the in-laws, and having tons of people coming to look at the house, and trying to find a decent house ourselves, I've been losing a lot of sleep. And I need to start planning out a yard sale soon. Hopefully the weather will cooperate. We have had so much rain, it's not even funny.

So, consequently I think I'll be taking some time off from here. I might try to update once a week or so, but no guarantees. Once we find a new home and get settled in, I'll try to get back into a daily routine of updating. Maybe I can even get back into drawing. I wanna draw so bad. I miss it. *pouts*

Oh, and one more thing I wanted to mention. If you have the time, go take a look at the fan art. Find a nice drawing on there done by someone you haven't heard of. What I mean by that is that there are many great artists who've been here a long time and they have plenty of fans already to look at their fan art. (Sort of celebrity fan artists of the Otaku.) But there are a lot of people who are new and yet have phenomenal art that is being ignored. Go find one. I have done this. There are too many people who just ignore what other artists are doing.

Well, take care everyone.

Don't give up on me...

I'm still working on visiting people. So, don't give up on me. If I haven't made it to your site yet, I'm on my way.

Well, I still don't have all of the stuff I wanted to have for some credits on the Otakubowl. Though, I'd like to thank everyone again for participating. I hope next year's turnout can be even better. My hopes are for this thing to become really big someday.

I have some people to give extra thanks to. But I'm going to wait until I can thank people in the right way. Though, I would like to mention a few names. First off I'd like to thank those who helped promote this. Yensid and BlAiZeD put the banner on their sites. And BlAiZeD mentioned it almost everyday in her blog post. BurningDeamon mentioned it in her blog posts as well. (If you helped to promote the Otakubowl, let me know. I want to give credit to everyone who deserves it.)

Also I must thank BlAiZeD and Wolf of Darkstar for the perfect attendance during the full three weeks and three day event. (If you had this as well, let me know.)

And one more huge thanks for Wolf of Darkstar again for making this most awesome image.

Ok, that's it for now. I'll try to have more for you guys tomorrow. I'm now going to get back to visiting the rest of you.

Take care.

The 2006 Otakubowl Grand Champ is...

Trigun

Yesss! And thank you all for voting. It ended up, as of Monday, in a tie:

Trigun(8) vs Fullmetal Alchemist(8)

I held out a bit longer for one more vote. Finally it came with a vote for Trigun.

Also, I want to apologize profusely for not visiting. I had a really busy and hectic weekend. So, I will update again later this evening when it rolls around to midnight eastern time. And I'll be sure to visit everyone who has visited me recently.

I didn't get a chance to make anything for the Otakubowl. But I'm hoping to make a banner or something for the Grand Champ. And I'd like to give out some credits where credits are due.

Sorry to make this short. But I must go to make dinner for the family. Be back in a few hours. Take care.

And the winners are...
We had a tie! And to top it off, the comment system was under maintenance. I couldn't post until I checked the comments one last time. There were no new comments. So, the tie still remained. Of course at this point you are wondering, "What category?!" I just wanted to keep you in suspense. Also, since the next and final match depends on the results of this tie match, I had to resort to an alternate source. The alternate source being my husband. And the tie was between Trigun and Cowboy Bebop. Yes, my husband has seen both of them. And no, he was not biased because of my preference. He went with Trigun.

So, I can officially give the results of the final matches of the Otakubowl.

Cowboy Bebop(8) vs Trigun(9)

Fullmetal Alchemist(8) vs Wolf's Rain(7)

Princess Mononoke(6) vs Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children/Last Order(9)

Black Cat(8) vs Shaman King(5)

Final Fantasy VII(seven)(6) vs Final Fantasy VIII(eight)(7)

That was intense! Three of the five categories won by one vote. And my hubby did not vote on any of the others, only the Trigun/Bebop match. So the rest of them that ended in a one vote difference was all your votes.

And now, one last match. This is for the Ultimate Clash Between Old and New. The winner of the Anime Series Old will battle it out against the winner of the Anime Series New. I'm going to keep this match going all weekend. I will post the results on Monday. So, I introduce to you the champions of the Anime Series Old and Anime Series New categories.

Ultimate Clash Between Old and New

Trigun vs Fullmetal Alchemist

Also, I'm hoping to have a few statistics and awards to announce on Monday. That's if I have the time. I have people coming over to look at the house this weekend. My brother-in-law is visiting from Arizona. I hope you don't mind, but I'm going to run off screaming my head off and pulling out my hair. ^_^

I hope everyone has a great weekend. Take care.

I think I got to everyone. And thank you so much for the great turnout Thursday. If I didn't comment on your site that means either you didn't have a recent post or didn't comment on Thursday. I only visited people who commented. This includes everyone, even if you didn't update. When I go off of the people who comment, I have no idea if you have updated or not. So, if you haven't, you got a free visit. And that's my way of thanking you for taking the time to come and vote. Also, I had a few extra visitors who aren't on my friends list. And as I said before. I go and thank those people for voting. I couldn't do this without you guys voting. So, again THANK YOU VERY MUCH!

I changed the music. I took a few of the suggestions. And came up with a few of my own. Sorry Kitsune, but I'm not really into Talking Heads too much. I ended up going with mostly late 60's and 70's. It's fun to listen to the oldies on occasion. ^_^
There's only one problem. They don't seem to want to play or only partially play. I don't know why. They play fine on my computer. I think my host is possibly having issues or something. So, sorry if they don't play or only partially play.

Ok, let's get to the Otakubowl. The semi-finals have ended. The winners now move on to the finals. Here's the results from Thursday's matches.

Yu Yu Hakusho(8) vs Trigun(11)

Wolf's Rain(16) vs s-CRY-ed(3)

Ghost in the Shell(8) vs Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children/Last Order(9)

D.N.Angel(8) vs Shaman King(10)

The Legend of Zelda(5) vs Final Fantasy VIII(eight)(11)

I actually voted for s-CRY-ed. Though, I'm not upset about Wolf's Rain winning. If there's any for s-CRY-ed to lose to, it's definitely Wolf's Rain.
Whew, that movie category was a close one. FFVII: AC/LO led most of the way. Then GitS took the lead. Then FFVII: AC/LO took the lead once more to take the win. I agree devilsadvocate, Zack absolutely rules! ^_^
And then there's the Video Game category. Link didn't stand a chance against Squall. ^_^

And now *booming drums* I present to you the final matches of the 2006 Otakubowl. *more booming drums* ^_^
(If you've seen Spaceballs, the drums would be like the ones you hear when they introduce Mega Maid.) =P

Anime Series Old

Cowboy Bebop vs Trigun

Anime Series New

Fullmetal Alchemist vs Wolf's Rain

Movie

Princess Mononoke vs Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children/Last Order

Manga

Black Cat vs Shaman King

Video Game

Final Fantasy VII(seven) vs Final Fantasy VIII(eight)

A clash of the Final Fantasies... interesting.
Well, good luck with voting. I hope everyone has a great Friday. Take care.
