Time's running out
Hehe, right as I type this my visits are at 2999. So, chances are the first person to read this will be my 3000th visitor. Woohoo!

Anyway, I wanted to let everyone know that I'm still in need of nominations for the Otakubowl. I'd like to begin the match ups on Monday. But technically that means I need them by 9 p.m. Sunday night (when I post the first match ups). I'm in Pacific time which is 3 hours behind theO's Eastern time. Their midnight is my 9 p.m. And to make things worse, I actually need them even sooner. I take all of the competitors and randomly put them in the first-round match ups. Then they move on from there. As I've said before, to those who aren't familiar with the Otakubowl, click here, or on the banner above to find out all of the details.

Oh! One more thing I almost forgot to mention before I end this post. I dyed my hair on Friday. I've always had blonde hair. Well, I am now a brunette. My hair is dark brown. It's quite a change. I'm still getting used to it. But I like it. I'll try to post a pic in a day or two.

Well, that's it. Take care.

Broken record
For those of you who visited Monday or Tuesday, you don't need to read this. It's just going to be a repeat of those posts. At this point, you just go down and click on the comments link, say hello, or howdy pardner, or wazzup...

I'm letting everyone know that I'm now taking nominations for the Otakubowl. And for those who don't know what it is, here's a brief explanation. Or you can click on the Otakubowl banner above for full details.

The Otakubowl is a competetion featuring some of the most popular anime series, anime/video game based movies, manga, and video games. Nominations (meaning you tell me your favorites in each category) will be held until there are 16 contenders for each category. Once all of the categories have reached 16 contenders, the competitions will be lined up to pit one contender against another, or match ups. The winner of each match up will move on to the next round, and the loser is out of the competition. And of course who wins is up to you, the voters.

The match ups will take place each and every weekday (Monday thru Friday). Each day will include match ups between two competitors in each of the 5 categories. The results from the previous match ups held the day before will be posted. (Results from Friday match ups may not be posted until Monday.)

If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask. Also, I must stress that the third category is MOVIE based on an anime or video game, i.e.; Howl's Moving Castle (anime) or Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children (video game). Those are movies based on either anime or video game.

Those categories again are:

-Anime Series Old (original release before 2000)

-Anime Series New (original release after 2000)

-Movie (anime or video game based)

-Manga

-Video Game

You don't have to put in nominations for all five categories. Only the ones you want to. Or, you don't have to put in any at all. But the more nominations I get, the better. However, once a category reaches 16 competitors, I won't take anymore for that category.

Take care.

Otakubowl '07
I posted a little late on Monday, so some of you might have missed it. So, I'm updating to let everyone know I am now taking nominations for the Otakubowl. I'll give some info about it shortly. However, I feel I need to stress something. Since I am now in the midst of the Otakubowl, this can be somewhat time consuming for me. So, I have decided that each day when I post I will visit people. Though, I will ONLY visit those who have commented. I'm going to limit my posts to only covering the Otakubowl, unless if there is something pressing that I feel must be mentioned. I know others are limited for time as well, so I don't plan on making my posts too long. With that said, I am going to repost the info I had in Monday's post about the Otakubowl for those who don't know about it. If you read yesterday's post, don't worry about reading the following. Also, there is a full explanation of the Otakubowl if you click the link on the Otakubowl banner above.

Otakubowl '07
I wasn't able to update or visit much between Friday through Sunday because I had the stomach flu. It was no fun at all. I'm feeling a lot better now.

Anyway, the main reason for my post is to let everyone know that I'm now taking nominations for the Otakubowl. I'll take them all this week, then start the match ups on Monday, March 5. If you weren't here for it last year, there is a link up above (click on the Otakubowl banner) that explains it all. Here is a brief explanation of how it works.

The Otakubowl is a competetion featuring some of the most popular anime series, anime/video game based movies, manga, and video games. Mamma would be proud...
Yay! I spent more time on the internet the past 24 hours than I've spent on it in about the entire past month. I visited everyone, or atleast everyone who has updated since I last posted. (Again, if somehow I missed you, let me know.)

Oh, hey! How do you like the new theme? This is one of my latest obsessions, Devil May Cry. Ok, I've only played DMC 2 and 3, but I plan to play 1 and probably in the distant future 4. (Can't afford to buy a PS3 yet.) But I have completed 2 to it's fullest extent... yes, even Bloody Palace. (Go me!) I'm on Very Hard Mode on 3, and I just completed Mission 16. I know, some of you won't have a clue as to what I'm talking about. But hey, you can either play the games yourself and find out, or just nod and say, "That's really cool, Caprice!"

Anyway, I apologize for not being around much. I have missed you guys a lot. Though, I probably could've been here more often. However, I tend to get wrapped up in certain things... ok, so I become obsessed with things. So, I decided I'd give you a list of the Top Ten things that tend to steal my attention.

1.My kids
2.My hubby
3.Reading Eragon or Eldest
4.Hanging out with friends
5.Playing Devil May Cry 3
6.Reading Eragon or Eldest
7.Watching movies
8.Catching local bands at the bar
9.Reading Eragon or Eldest
10.Checking out MySpace

Ok, I should clarify a few things. Number 2 says, My hubby. Well, that's usually because he's playing Halo online. So, the computer is tied up. And actually, we have two comps connected to the internet, but kids are on the other one. Also, you may have noticed the mention of Eragon and Eldest. Yes, this is one of my latest obsessions. I got Eragon the book for x-mas. I read it, and when I was up to about page 100, I saw the movie in the theatre. (Wasn't as good as I had hoped.) Anyway, I love the book. Of course when I finished it, I had to get Eldest. Wouldn't you know it, all of the stores were sold out of it. I got it on e-book, and read it all the way through. Then I read Eragon again. My son checked out Eldest from his school library, so I'm reading it again. I am so anxious for that third one, though. There's so many things that I wonder are going to happen. It's a bit frustrating.

Oh! I also mentioned local bands. Since I'm good friends with a band, we go see them play quite often. Though, most of their shows are at bars. I can't complain, I like my beer. (Psychostick song comes to mind at this moment.)
Anyway, one of the bands I saw last weekend has a 14 year old bassist. He is an awesome bass player. The rest of the guys are over 21. And that is one of the main reasons why #10 says checking out MySpace. I have a lot of local bands on there as friends. I actually don't spend much time on MySpace. Usually around 10-15 minutes a day.

Ok, I think I've rambled enough in this post. I know there was something else I wanted to mention, but I guess it'll have to wait until next post... Oh, yeah! I have the link for the Otakubowl. The first step will be to take nominations... WAIT! NOT YET! I'll let you know when I'm ready to take nominations.

Ok, well take care everyone!

Take a good look...

Hey all! Yes, it seems to be about that time of month again... no, I'm talking about updating. Not that I'm doing it on a regular monthly basis. In fact, I missed January. Good thing I'm talking about updating my post, huh? o_O

Anyway, I visited a few people. But I couldn't get to everyone. If I missed you, I apologize. I will try to return soon. In fact, I'm hoping to return very soon because I've been playing around with a new theme for myO. And... *drum roll*... I was kind of hoping to get back into the Otakubowl again for this year. Some of you may not know what I'm talking about. If you've known me over a year, then you should know.

Well, that's all for now. Take care, my friends.

Oh, and I am currently at 2958 visits. I'm getting close the 3000 mark. Pretty cool, huh? Ok, I'm going now...

Stuff...
Yes, I'm updating again so soon after my last one. It's a miracle! Hey, this is the time of year for miracles isn't it? ^_^

Anyway, one of the main reasons I decided to update is because I just happened to visit the Otaku home page the other night and I ran across this art contest. Ok, I went through an art contest once before on here (though, not an official Otaku contest, just a member contest). I actually won that contest, but never got my prize. So, I'm not one to quickly jump on contests. However, this one is an official Otaku contest. So, I was curious. Plus, it's for Breast Cancer Awareness. And it's quite a compliment to the Portfolio to have your art selected for the contest. And last, but not least the prizes are either a PS3 or a Nintendo Wii. I could definitely go for a Wii. ^_^
So, I am currently working on a piece for it. It's coming along pretty good. Of course, if you haven't heard of this contest, here's the link for all of the details CONTEST.

And now to the weather. It would seem others around the U.S. are facing similar conditions as I am. We have snow, lots and lots of snow. It's not too bad. I just hate it when it first hits us, and it makes driving trips a lot slower and longer. Then it freezes on the roads, making conditions even worse. Then it melts down, and freezes again. Which seems even worse. But by this time I have become accustomed to the conditions. So, I'm pretty much beyond the griping stage now. The only thing that can really get to me now is if we sit here for the next couple of weeks with snow. Then it melts off around the 20th and then no more snow. And wouldn't you know it... Christmas comes here in Northern Idaho with no snow. I mean this is an area where we get plenty of snow. But it is also not unheard of having a x-mas with no snow, or atleast no new snow. I hate that! Okay, I'm done rambling about weather.

Here's a pretty funny story that might give you a little chuckle. For several years now my family has used a small 4 foot artificial Christmas tree. We just never bothered to buy a bigger one. It's just a simple green spruce type tree. No addditional lights or frost or anything like that. We dress it up with all of the ornaments we have accumulated over the years. And of course a tree that size doesn't take much to light up. Well, last Sunday we were out at the house of the drummer of the band we are friends with during their practice. The drummer has land with tons and tons of trees. He tells us we can go ahead and take a tree from his property. So, we start looking around. Now, a lot of these "smaller" trees are covered with snow. Which makes them look fuller. They are also dwarfed by the much larger trees on the property. We pick one tree that looks good. It's quite tall, but we have a high ceiling in our front room. Okay, to make a long story short. We unded up choosing a tree that stands about 12 feet tall. Isn't quite as full as we thought, and not quite enough ornaments to cover it. I ended having to pull the lights off from around the garage door to add to the ones on the tree so it would be more lit up. I describe it as a very large version of a Charlie Brown tree. (If you don't know what I mean by that, watch the Charlie Brown Christmas.) ^_^
I think next year I will just purchase another (slightly larger) artificial tree.

Well, that's all for this update. I'll try to update again before Christmas. But if for any reason I am not able to, I wish everyone Happy Holidays, Merry Christmas, Season's Greetings, Happy Hannukah, etc. (I think Season's Greetings is the best one, because it is one that technically should not offend anyone. Just a simple greeting during the winter season.) ^_^

Anyway, take care my friends.

Just a quick note...
Hey all! I've been missing you guys. I just wanted to mention that I actually visited everyone yesterday... or was it the day before...?
Anyway, I didn't have time to leave comments. I was just wondering how some of my friends were doing. After visiting a few, I discovered that some had removed me from their friends list. So consequently, I removed them as well. Sorry, but that's the way it goes. Anyway, I went to each and every person on my list just to find out who still had me listed. Which means I literally visited everyone on my list. But like I said, I didn't leave any comments. Also, if you have added me recently after signing my gb, I will gladly add you as well. And if you are reading this because you added me sometime ago, and I neglected to add you, let me know. I have had the same thing done to me, and it's really frustrating. So, speak up! ^_^

Anyway, I have been playing a lot of Devil May Cry 2. (Yeah, I know there's a third one. I'll get to it eventually.) And as far as anime, I haven't seen anything new. However, I have been enjoying rewatching all of Trigun again recently. My kids absolutely love the first episode, it cracks them up (as well as me.) XD
I haven't done anything artistic in such a long time. I'm actually thinking about attempting to draw Dante off of DMC2.

Well, that's all for now. I hope to come back soon and actually leave comments. ^_^

Take care.

   Back in Black... and tattooed!
Yep, I'm back. And yes, I said tattooed. I finally got my tattoo done on my arm. I also got my right eyebrow pierced... not once, but twice! I have a pic of me with the tattoo. It was before I got the piercings done though. So, here it is...

And for anyone who might not know what it is. It's the Godsmack sun. Yes, I'm a major Godsmack fan.

Anyway, I'm hoping to come around here a little more often than before. I quit my job, but I start a new one today. Not quite so many hours. I basically had no life at the other job.

Life has been pretty good for me lately. About two months ago I met a local band called Riled, and I've been hanging out with them a lot. I go to their practices quite often and catch all of their shows. They are an awesome group of guys. If you like hard rock/metal music then check them out at www.myspace.com/riledband.

Unfortunately, I haven't been watching much anime or playing video games lately. Don't get me wrong, I'm not losing interest in them. I will always be an otaku. I will most likely get back into it when the weather starts getting cold. Stay inside where it's warm and watch some anime. XD

I'm really anxious to see what everyone has been up to lately. So, I think I'm gonna end this post and wander off to do some visiting.

Take care.
Catcha later...
