Alright ladies and gents, here’s the deal. Obviously, the scavenger hunt has been pushed back. The reason for that is I have not yet organized it, so complain to me about it. =P The reason for this post is this, THAT has announcements! Two, to be exact. Oh, and a quick note to everyone whose signed the GB, you have not been forgotten. I know it’s been a long time, but bear with us.
Announcement 1:
After several months of disappearance, one of THAT’s oldest members has returned to the Otaku! Some of you THAT oldies may remember Nikki. THAT’s very own Official Conscious. The girl all but helped form THAT when it had a grand total of like, 5 members. After your three PPTs, Nikki IS the original member. Her new site may be found at the username [One-day]. So go say hello even if you don’t know her. =P

Announcement 2:
It’s that time again… I am putting in another call for help. THAT is looking for a new staff member. That’s right, an actual, full access to posting and welcoming members, events planner, and all around helper, staff personnel. All of our current staff are wonderful and have been tremendous helping hands when need be. But at current, two of our PPT’s are inactive, and the other four of us are busy people. And as we’ve seen, this club can’t run itself. =P
So I am going to recruit another staff. If anyone is interested, then please read the info below.

What are the responsibilities of being staff?
Only active myO members can apply to be THAT staff. Not to say you have to be on here ALL the time, but checking in at the O regularly is a must. If members or myself cannot get a hold of you for weeks on end, then please don’t apply.
After we have agreed on the tasks you will handle in maintaining this site, you will be expected to fulfill them.
Staff are expected to follow instructions given by the founders. They have pretty free reign as far as the club goes, but the PPT’s have the final word.
You will need to be responsible and respectful when it comes to members. You are here to answer questions and communicate with said members. I expect staff to be polite when responding to inquiries.
Once given access to this site, I expect you to not abuse it. Do not give away THAT’s password. And since staff have permission to post to this site without consulting the founders first, do not use this site as your personal journal. All entries must be club related.
And finally, when posting to this site or answering PMs/GB signatures and such, please be aware of your grammar and spelling. Granted, everyone makes typos, myself included, and it’s commonplace to use some short cuts. For example, using GB instead of guestbook as I have just done. We all understand this. But web speak, highly fragmented sentences, or those sentences that run on and on with no punctuation are hard to read for most people and will not be allowed on this site.
How do I apply?
If, after all that, you think you would still like to be a staff member, then I encourage you to apply. Newbie or veteran, it doesn’t matter. This site can’t be active without active people running it. To apply, please PM me at my personal blog [here]. Label your PM with staff application as your subject. Inside your PM I simply need a few things:

Holy crap, this site has been neglected hasn’t it? Heh, so has my main one, so don’t feel too bad. Anyway…. scavenger hunt and new members…
I’ll work on getting the scavenger hunt together this week, how’s that? Staff, including squad leaders if you want, I need ideas here for stuff we can look for. Whacky things are welcome as well. If you have any ideas please PM me at MY site, not THAT’s, so I can keep track of it all.
As for new members. I know there are a lot of you who signed the GB and are still waiting to get in. Well, I’m behind on the members’ list, no surprise there uh, so I need to catch up before I can add new people. Don’t worry; I’m not rejecting anyone, just sort of putting new admission on HOLD for the time being. So pretty much everyone who signed the GB during October and later, you’ve been put on a waiting list of sorts.

My, my, THAT has been dormant a while hasn’t it? Well, as some of you may already know, THAT’s 2 year anniversary is coming up! That’s right! THAT was formed in October of 2003! Hard to believe isn’t it?
So... we’ve got to do something to celebrate this event! Remember those activities you all voted on, once upon a time? It came down to it that the two winners were the weekly questions and the scavenger hunt. The weekly questions are a cool idea and I think we’ll use that. But for something like an anniversary, I think the scavenger hunt is in order!
How will this work? Well, we’ll give you a week to go on a massive search to find the most common and the extremely weird anywhere on the net. The winners will be the ones who can find the most items before the deadline. What will you win? I’m not sure yet, we’ll just have to see what the staff can cook up. Details of the scavenger hunt will appear in the next post. As it will start as soon as the details are posted, I wanted to give everyone a warning that the event was coming up.
And to give everyone a heads up, and to welcome in THAT’s two years, squad leaders, prepare to PM. The relay system will now go into order.
ANNOUNCEMENT: For everyone who has signed the guest book in the last month asking to join up to today, Sept 28, you have not been forgotten. Hopefully one of the staff will contact you in the next few days. If you have not been contacted before the scavenger hunt begins, you MAY STILL participate.

What is the banner goddess’s real name, anyway?
My real real name is Tracy, but I'm not too terribly fond of it... to be honest, I do have people who I know in real life who call me "aurus"... But I suppose what really matters is what name people use when I've done something wrong, and that would be Tracy.
Psh. Do something wrong. Poppycock. =P Anyway! How did you first come across our lovely little myO community?
It's been so long that I don't remember it exactly. XD I originally found theOtaku when I was searching for Trigun information, since that was the first anime I ever really watched. I found the quizzes and all the fun things, and some information about other anime, so I stuck around... and by the time I'd finished watching Cowboy Bebop, they had opened up this fancy blogging thing.... I joined and did very little, until Shanny and Beck and I noticed that we were aware of each other on FanFiction.net as well, and I ended up shortly thereafter with a guestbook entry inviting me to join THAT.
Holy! You must be psychic too, because I don't even need to ask you how you joined THAT! I have heard of a Bleach Fan Dub project you're doing. Can you tell us a little bit about that?

The Bleach Fandub Project is a thing that Duo and I thought of a couple months ago. It wasn't a serious thought, it was more like "wouldn't it be cool to do this stuff?" and "I would really love to voice this and that", and sort of by accident we ended up casting a lot of the roles in the anime just based on what we knew about some myO folks and what characters they liked and so on. We didn't intend to really do anything with it, but... suddenly we decided we had to do at least some of it. XD So now people are buying microphones and we've both been working on scripts, with synchronized dialogue and everything.... we've even put out a casting call for some characters that we haven't cast yet. It's gotten really intense, and once I get the right technology together, we'll probably release a few scenes for people to download and watch.
Hear that people? There's a casting call, so if you love Bleach and love acting, this could just be for you! So move your little bums if you haven't already! *ahem* If you could be anywhere in the world right now, doing whatever you wanted, where would you be and what would you be doing?
I can think of a lot of things, and surprisingly, most of them are actually appropriate. XD I'd LOVE to be in Japan, studying kenjutsu... and if not that, maybe voice acting with Travis Willingham, because I went to his panel at SakuraCon, and not only is he very attractive, but he's got one hell of a sense of humor. Or... barring all of that and leaping into the realm of the impossible... studying kenjutsu with Okita Souji, back in the Bakumatsu in Japan. Because that'd kick ass.

I'm doing my best to make sure that the corruption of today's youth happens at much more capable hands than mine. XD

So with me that makes 13 of us. That would be about 16 PM’s a piece when a newsletter went out. So what do you think volunteers? Are you still willing to be Squad Leaders? If you are then either comment here or PM this site and I’ll send you a PM filling you in on what’s going on.
Anyone can still volunteer for this if they are just now reading this for the first time. ^_^ Of course, as THAT grows, which it always does, squad leaders will need to be recruited, but we’ll come to that later. In the mean time, lets see if we can’t get this thing started, shall we?
