Current topic: My days...

Let's see, another post... My weeks and days all blend into one really horrible routine. But I'm still optimistic. It's in my nature, anyway.
College is hard, especially math. Math will haunt me forever, math will haunt us all... :)
Everything is different now and lately I started to feel that. Helping hands are so hard to find, you always have to figure out everything by your self and if you may fail some exams, actually no one cares...
But I will study and I will not give up! At least there are a lot of students out there like me, a little still puzzled and confused... :)
But I want to forget about those awfull future exams. Until for now.

I am sad to announce that in the near by future I won't be able to comment or post anymore because of winter break. Explanation: I'm going home and my computer is staying here, in Bucharest. That means no internet for me and no MyO for 2 weeks. Horrible! I know. But I'll still be around for another 3 weeks so you will be able to enjoy my comments.

I really haven't designed anything yet. No wallpapers. But I'm a bit excited because I've finished studying HTML Language in college and my intuition tells me that pretty soon I'll get web-designing a shot! My first layout... I can't wait!

I haven't watched any movies lately, just one called "She's all of that". Really old, from 1999. A teen-movie actually, really poor plot. But you know what? These movie are actually like eating chocolate when you are on a diet. Of course, nobody knows that you've cheated... :)
I enjoyed it, mainly because I really wanted to see a movie and I'm taking a break. No more serious movies for now.
Dough I watched "The Notebook", a lovely recommandation made by my best friend here on MyO, SweetD. Yes, you are right, it is trully wonderful. I recommend it also! Friends, give it a try and you won't regret it!

Well, this is it... I apologize if I missed any posts or for my lack of comments, but I'm doing my best. It seems that this situation won't really change in the future no matter how much I try. But like I said, I'm doing my best to make it! :)
Have an awesome week-end (I know mine will be boring and full of math!) and take care! Also thank you very much for all the lovely comments on my last post! *monster hug*

Peace and luff,
Lory.

Current date: 22nd November 2007
Current topic: Time to post...

Let's see... I'm running out of ideas lately. I haven't even designed a new wallpaper yet. Last night I opened Photoshop for the first time afer 2 months I guess. Well, a month for sure. But I didn't design an anime wallpaper, sorry. I was browsing through PhotoDecadent and found some really lovely pics. And a wallpaper was born.
I hope you like it! I know I do, it turned out just the way I want it too, simple and elegant. If you are wondering who's Charlie, well... Charlie Chaplin of course. I don't know why but she reminded me of one of his wifes so, therefore I thought that those where just the perfect words. Just click on the picture if you are interested!

I've watched some new movies this week. I really recommend "Little Miss Sunshine" (wonderfull, simply wonderfull) and "Surf's up!" (you just have to love those penguins! and they surf too!).
I haven't finished Hannibal's Rising yet (the story of Hannibal Lector, the famous murderer from "Silence of the Lambs", one of my favorite movies!). So far I can say it's really interesting despite all the bad reviews I've been reading about it. But will see...
And I've watched "Shakespeare in love". I don't know why I like that movie... Seen it 3 times already too. Well what can I say? I love the actors and I think they've all done a pretty good job. I love classic stories...

I just can't believe that only one moth and I'll be celebrating my second MyO anniversary. Wow! Two years... And I hope many more to come!
Anyway I have to end this post. Not without saying "Happy Thanks Giving" to all of you who celebrate it!
Have and awesome week, week-end and take care! Also thank you for the lovely comments! *giant hug*
Peace and luff,
Lory.

Current topic It's been so long...

Hy everyone! Wow! Almost one month and no posts... Well I've been really busy, you know, college. Yesterday I had to translate some pages from this book (main topic: management). Imagine that, Sunday and I'm working.
But I did comment on your posts as much as I could, so this time I don't really have to apologize anymore. :)

Well, let's see... I managed to watch two movies! That's something.

Well the first one, Ghost Rider with Nicolas Cage, I think was really good. I adore movies made after comic book stories. I really liked this one, I must confess. And I recommend it, especially if you are crazy after bikes, motorcycles on fire and heads on fire, the devil or bad angels and lost souls. Yes, Nicolas Cage's head is on fire. I think he was perfect for this role!!! And I even liked Eva Mendez a little. But I'm not going to tell all about it, if you want to know more just go and watch the movie.

The second movie I've got to watch was The DaVinci Code. I've never read the book, but I really wanted to see the movie. And... I don't even know what to say. If you believe in the Holy Grail and secret societies you'll adore this one. Personally I didn't like it that much and some of the things happening in it were kind of predictable. I guessed a few! But Tom Hanks never dissapoints you, you can always count on him. But I didn't really like the leading lady's performance. Yes, every movie has to have a woman with beautiful legs in it! Dough I've read some reviews where her performance was really appreciated, I really didn't like it. I even hated her accent. To sum up, I really don't recommend this one if you really believe in God! But if you do really watch it, don't take it to seriously, that's my friendly advice.

Last night, I've watched Ratatouille. And it's great!!! I love cartoons!!! I trully recommend it, if you believe rats can cook! :) Why is it great? Because it shows us that we are what we believe, not what others see. And yes, rats can cook! If you love cartoons, don't miss it, please!

I've downloaded more music! The sountrack from Lord of the Rings is incredibly wonderfull! I recommend it, trully!
And James Horner is still a genius in my opinion. I found another score that is entirely his creation. I recommend you the soundtrack from A beautiful mind. But now I want the soundtrack from The DaVinci Code, composed by Hans Zimmer. I can't wait to get it. I've heard the songs are really beautiful.

Currently I'm listening to country music. I can't really believe it! But I just love these two songs: Dixie Chicks ~ Not ready to make nice and Johnny cash ~ God's gonna cut you down.

I guess it's time to end my post with the promise that I'll try to comment as often as I can. And I want to thank you all for the last comments I received. They were all wondefull!
Have a great week and take care! *giant hugs*

Peace and luff,
Lory.

Current topic: Technology gone crazy!

Hy everyone! First of all I want to apologize for not commenting lately but my computer crashed down again...

Lately I've been really busy, I think you all know how sometimes college/faculty can really steal some precious time of our lifes but in the end it's always worth it, right?

Right now I'm typing this post from inside the faculty since I'm not actually having any courses. I forgot to tell you the name of my faculty. Now that I'm the proud member of the special English section, I finally found out the equivalent in English of course: my faculty is called "The Academy of Economic Studies" {known as A.S.E in my country} and my major is "Accountancy and Financial Administration" {but I'm not really sure about the second one}.

Well I'm getting used to my new life here in Bucharest. It's not that hard after all. And I finally found something that I adore about this city. The libraries of course! I bought a book last week I think, called "Red and Black" by Stehndal. So far I can't really tell if it's good or bad, but since I'm still interested in reading it then I guess it's a good book. The author is French and I just love French authors!

By the way lately I've been interested a lot in philosophy and at the library I found all the books on this topic. So when I entered the library and I saw the books all I could say to my collegue was: "Kant! Hegel! Schopenhauer!!!" { Those are names of famous philosophers of course}. And I immediately started laughing because I am only 19 and these days a normal teenager doesn't really say those exact same words when he/she enters a good library for the first time!

I really don't have time to watch TV lately, I really don't have one anymore and I'm a bit dissapointed by the fact that I might be missing some good movies or football matches.

Lately I've just discovered some great songs. I trully recommend the soundtrack of "Troy" and no I'm not listening to it because Brad Pitt and Orlando Bloom are part of the cast of the movie. I'm listening to it because it was composed by James Horner!!! He's a genius, and he manages to surprise me again. The songs are wonderfull, do try!

Well my post ends here I guess. Thank you all for your lovely comments and for taking some time to read my special section too. Thank you for really commenting there too! I love too read so many wonderfull comments! But who doesn't?

Have a great week, a wonderfull week-end and take care! *giant hugs for everyone*
Peace and luff,
Lory.

Today's topic: I can cook!!!

Hy everyone! Well nothing much happened since the last time I posted, but still I have some things to say I guess.
First of all, I changed my layout and this one officially sais: "I'm back!".
Now I want to apologize if I miss some of your posts, but it is really hard for me to read them all espeacially if they are long. I'm not in a confortable situation since my keyboard is placed on a chair, my computer on an old table and I'm standing on the bed. My back hurts every two seconds!!! So I am really sorry, but I promise I'll try to make it on time.

Well now, faculty/college I don't know how to call it... I'm doing well and I've been accepted in a special group and I will learn everything in... english! Yes and I'm up for the challenge!

Today I cooked for the first time, you know, real food!!! My mom helped me too, by phone of course. And guess what? I'm okay, I haven't poisoned myself and the food tastes really good considering it's my first time. Yay!

Now, that I've changed my layout there is a special section called "Thoughts in my head...' and there you will be able to read, of course, some of my thoughts and comment on them too. So please take some time to read it and comment!!!

I guess this is it. I wish you all a great week!!! Special thanks to all who came by and visited me!!
Peace and luff,
Lory.

Today's topic: College, a new begining!

Hy everyone! First of all I want apologize for not commenting if I really missed some of your posts!

So, I'm a student now and what can I say? I'm really happy, excited and full of hope.
Today I even had my first class! Business law or something like that... *not an expert when it comes to translations*
The teachers seem really nice and I hope they are dough in my country you never know... But I guess it's the same everywhere in the world.
My room is really nice, feels like home, dough kind of empty right now... But I'm sure it will fill up with a lot of books and notebooks really soon.

My internet connection is strong so I'll still be around here. Don't worry!*sends free hugs to all her friends*

Now, Bucharest... Bucharest is a monster!!! And it's alive!!! *terrified look on her face*
But with a lot of dissapointment in my heart I have to say that it's really ugly compared to other european capital cities... But it's just my opinion, I guess. When I see all those old blocks I feel like I've entered an ancient communist sanctuary. Horrible!
For those who don't know Romania used to have a communist regime in the past and a year after I was born, this big revolution took place and we all embraced democracy. In our own way... trust me!

But I'm beginig to like it. Just yesterday I've met two highschool collegues of mine since we are going to the same college and after I helped them with their schedules we went to a mall. But everything is so expensive! I've seen a lot of beautifull shoes! And I constanly said to myself:"I can't afford this. This is crazy! But Santa will bring me all those beautifull gifs." Yes, I want to save money and get a pair of nice shoes, jeans and a blouse too. I know I can, I've got plenty of money. I've just got to use my head!

Do you think I inspire people trust? Because people just ask me for dirrections! That's cool, but I feel bad when I can't help! Even today, two men in a car (about 25-35 years old) asked me about this street...Too bad I couldn't help them. But I helped other students with their schedule. I guess you can see I'm a reliable person! Wait, I guess this happens to everybody. Yeah, I'm just being silly.

But I miss my parents and my friends! My cousin is busy working and when he comes home he talks about projects, percentages and money. And he has a girlfriend too... When I came home last night (after we when to this supermarket) I felt so lonely... He always tells me: "It's different here. Forget what your dad taught you, he has his job, your mom... Try to be independent! Forget about them!"
But I love my dad and my mom and I know I have to change, but I just don't like it when he talks like that. I feel so bad... I know I have a lot of things to learn, but I realise we are so different. He works, he wants a big house, with LCD TV's and expensive furniture etc. etc. etc. I want a lovely family, a good job and a loving husband. I don't want a lot of money or 4 computers and expensive furniture! I know I'll work hard and I'll have all of that if I want to. But I don't. I'm a simple soul, is that really bad? I want happiness, love and security! I know I'm smart and I can achieve anything I want. But I have to try and understand him... His parents got divorced, he never had a good father and this is his way of doing things... besides he has a brother and he will need his help, too! I can't complain, since I've always had my parents on my side one way or another...
But still...
Anyway I hope the following days I'll get to make some friends and go out more.

Response to comments:
- WoW! I'm glad you liked my poem SweetD. And of course you can use it as an idea for a wallpaper. I would be so honored!
- Glad that you like my poem too Angel Zakuro, Animergirl 7 and Talim-of-the-wind! A song? You know, now I wonder too... Would it become a hit after time? I wonder...

Have a great week everyone and take care! And sorry if the post was too long. *giant hug*
Peace and luff,
Lory.

Wow! Thank you for all your lovely comments. I'm so lucky to have such new wonderfull friends. Welcome Angel Zakuro and aNiMeGiRl 7 !

Ok, I'm back and guess what? So are my poems!
Maybe I'm the only one excited about this... I'm going to post it anyway... My new poem, that is.
I haven't wrote anything in a while, but last night I had this crazy feeling... Like I felt the need to write something.
I guess it's because of the music I was listening to. But what can I say? The "Titanic soundtrack" is really inspiring... Actually I think James Horner (he composed all the songs I think...) is a genius! A great artist.
Don't ask me why I was listening to those songs last night... But I haven't done that in a while.
So anyway, I began imagining this beautifull old ship... Not like the Titanic. Old, made of wood, like old English ships. Anyway, in my head it was modern too, because it was going pretty fast.
And it was only me on that ship, nobody else. I was looking down at all the waves I was sort of leaving behind... The moon was rising... very romantic. Just imagine that!
So here is my poem, called "Beyond the sea..." (love the title, simple, but perfect). Before you read it I must warn you that it is very, but really, very romantic!

Here it is:

Calling out to you
Beyond the sea...
Our souls can still hear
Life's wonderfull song...
A million voices sing so softly,
My heart can't believe it
You whisper, I tremble
And as the moon rises
You touch me gently...

On this ship, abandoned
I no longer feel alone
As I look up and see the sky...
Just like a child,
With light in my eyes,
I reach for something,
But there is nothing,
Nothing but the night...
Yet a strange light guides me,
Soon we will see
Life's one true essence
And you will love me,
Beyond the sea,
Beyond this night...

You whisper my name
And my heart slowly surrenders,
You hold my hand
And wrap your arm around my waist,
Your soft embrace,
Beyond the sea,
Beyond this night...

We are so close now,
Just as I've dreamed
Now we can hear
The sound of love,
A song of hope,
Our hearts cannot stop,
Believing in...
Beyond the sea,
Beyond this night...

A voice still sings,
A heart still dreams,
Two eyes still cry,
Two hands still beg,
I am still me...
Without your love
Beyond the sea,
Beyond this night...

Long post, I'll say! You can just skip the poem.
Nothing much happened these days, I'm working on a wallpaper dought. It features Sailor Mercury and I feel like I'm missing something. But I'm not worried, I'll finish it in the end. Click here to see it.

So thank you again for your lovely comments and I'll try to comment on all your posts! I'll be a little busy, since Friday I'm moving. Yes, Bucharest, here I come!
Have a great week, everyone!
Peace and luff,
Lory.

Hy! Guess who's back?
I hope somebody missed me around here?!
I know, I haven't commented on your posts lately and around here that equals Death. I apologize sincerely, but I've been really busy. I have good news, dough.
I'm a student now. And congratulations to me! I finally made it!
But, Bucharest (Romania's capital city) is really really confusing if you are, just like me, a girl who grew up in a small town. But, I'm lucky, because I'll get to stay with my cousin and he promised he will teach me everything he knows. Yes, he is a really cool guy.
So, the important opening event is next Saturday which I will be attenting along with my parents(I'm so happy that they will be there, by my side!)and Monday (1st October 2007) is my first day of college, officially! I'm so nervous!

Anyway, I'm back and I promise I'll comment again... I'm off know to make some new friends because I feel so lonely here...
Thank you, SweetD for standing by me for so long! You are my best friend!!!

Ok, that's it for know!
Have an awesome week... anyone who reads this post and is kind enough to comment!
Peace and luff,
Lory.

Well I made it to college, so I've realised that this year is going to be a really busy one and all my energy and my responsibleness will take different directions.
I want to thank everybody that ever commented on my posts or my art. Thank you sincerely!
I don't know if I'm coming back, all I know is I'm tired and I want to enjoy my summer holiday ( or what's still left of it! ).I hope I'll still have time to submit wallpapers, it's something I really enjoy doing and I think I'm in love with my Adobe Photoshop.
From my dear friends, I'll always accept requests of any kind, so please keep sending me messages if you need help!
My special thanks and all my love go to:
