New Theme

Well, as you can see, I've updated the theme to Samurai Deeper Kyo. I hope you like it. This wallpaper was difficult to coordinate with appropriately viewable text colors (I always have this problem! XD ). Anyway, if you like the BG, you can find the wallpaper in my portfolio. I'm making others, but I don't know when I'll be satisfied with them....

I'm waiting for InuYasha to come on. I'm hoping for Fluffy-sama to appear, even if only on the preview for tomorrow's episode!

Hope I can make it to the grocery store today (yeah, I know, I always say that! I'm so lazy)! I'm out of everything except soup and the stuff with which to make it! However, I think it might be supposed to rain, so the possibility of me wanting to leave my haunt is rather slim. *grimace*

I'm an ass

I'm currently sitting in my office, monopolizing my office mate's internet connection. This is just what I complained about a couple of weeks ago! XD At least, I'm conscious of being a hypocrit, ne?

I've visited those of you who posted in the last couple of days. I visited everyone yesterday too, but I couldn't comment because my browser crashed after I loaded all of those pages. I always load them all in tabs, read them all, then comment (yes, so I can spread news and gossip about! Don't judge!) Any hoo, I tried to comment on Shinkiro's new theme and you all went down. Sorry. I hope that won't happen again.

Anyhoo--my clas should be focusing on The Handmaid's Tale today, but we aren't finished with White Noise yet.

I don't really care. I'm waiting for the last disc of Gravitation to arrive, and it's all I can think of it. Touma, are you a bad guy, after all?! Prepare me somebody!

Total Randomness

Subject headings suck. XD

I've been watching Gravitation for the first time. It's funny, yaoi scrumptiousness and of course, Eiri Yuki is really yummy. Are there only 13 episodes? Or are there more?

So far, Samurai Deeper Kyo has more votes for February than Hellsing. The voting is still on for those of you who haven't made your preferences known!
Yea! Portfolio is back on!! Remind me if you've posted new WPs and I'll go check them out when I make my rounds!

No work tomorrow!

I can sleep late! Yea! Today, EPSON finally sent my "return kit" so that I can pack up the bum printer and send it in to be fixed / replaced. I really don't care which, as long as it works when they send whatever it is back to me. I'm hoping to drop off the package with the UPS guy who will be stopping by tomorrow with my Turbo Tax from Amazon. I suck at doing my own taxes. I obsessively worry about whether I'm filling out those forms correctly. If Infernal Revenue audited me, I would have to shrug and admit incompetence. Bureaucratic administrative rituals and its instituted paperwork completely elude me.

I don't think I'll ever get around to going grocery shopping. My supplies are running low, people. Damn, I'm one lazy bitch.

Anyhoo, I'm looking forward to InuYasha tonight in the vain hope of seeing Fluffy-sama. I have also virtuously put all of my clothes back on their hangers. They might even make it back into the closet before I teeter off to bed. XD

EDIT:
Check out the greeting that SesshTaisho sent to me! Isn't InuYasha so cute tormenting Buyo?

EDIT:
I updated my quizzes below. Enjoy the fun!

Suede--The Wild Ones

I've been listening to Suede on the iPod this morning. It's one of those mornings here. :D

That kid who shirked her facilitation assignment has dropped my class. I'm kinda glad I don't have to listen to the pre-fabricated sob story. Let's hope that the dude who's facilitating today can manage to drag himelf before us.

I bought some more decaf Sumatra at Caribou this morning. When it's just the two guys working, they really snap to it. I've seen both of these fellas let the woman, when she's on duty, do everything (and she's as sloooow as Uncle Joe. Probably in protest).

I enjoyed InuYasha last night, but I'm getting irked. That's 4 episodes without even the hint of Sesshoumaru. What will I do!?

So far, Samurai Deeper Kyo is winning the race for February's theme. I'm taking screen caps, but unfortunately, the DVDs play in widescreen (which I would normally prefer, except that the images I'm capturing are going to be so much smaller).

Hope you all have great days!

EDIT:
Check out the cool card that Burning Deamon sent me! Isn't she great?

Ok

I'm home today! I need to go grocery shopping, but I will probably sit around the house and watch anime instead (of course).

Yesterday, the girl who was facilitating class discussion didn't show up. Well, I hope she knows that's 10% of her grade that she just blew off. Why do they do it?

So far, I have one vote for Hellsing in the February theme contest. Which anime do you think I should use next month? Hellsing or Samurai Deeper Kyo?

I've also been listening to Buck-Tick's Gessekai all morning (or for about 15 minutes--since I just got out of bed XD ). If you can check it out, you should. I've been hunting it down ever since I watched Nightwalker.

Update

OK, I'm in my office, and I hopefully will have some time to get around to everyone who has updated today. I made two new GIFs (see above), so I hope you like them. Photoshop + Image Ready rocks!

I'm also really looking forward to InuYasha tonight. I watched the first disc of Ninja Scroll the series last night. I'm not yet impressed. I also decided to rent--I use this term loosely--.hack//Legend of the Twilight on DVD, even though it's not a fave of mine (probably because I like .hack//SIGN so much).

Tonight I will post a new Sesshoumaru WP and post it as my BG (if I can find appropriate text colors, that is). This will be the last week of InuYasha. February's theme will probably be SDK or Hellsing. Ta! (feeling very British today).

P.S. Please, no one send me any more of that chain-letter crap. Especially if I don't even know you. I will just use my evil powers to send it back to you at three-fold magnitude. Thanks.

EDIT: Obviously, my WP plan has been implemented. Hope you all like the new look!

InuYasha Withdrawal

Hi, everybody! I'm suffering IY withdrawal today. Why can't it come on 7 nights a week?! I tried to alleviate the anticipated symptoms (headache, sniffling, teary eyes) with Cowboy Bebop last night, but it didn't work, even the episode where Ed chases down Domino all on her lonesome couldn't replace the amusement I normally receive from hearing InuYasha barking. *sigh*

Anyway, the weather people were calling for two inches of snow last night (which is the chime of doom to NC drivers), but the temp didn't go below freezing long enough for the snow to stick. There are some icy patches on campus, but otherwise no trouble getting around. And I was so excited about having to call off classes too (*pouts*). I really wanted to stay home (yesterday's unproductivity really bothered me, so I wanted to make a few wallpapers). Oh well. See you all later!

EDIT: How many of you actually see the GIF in the left navigation bar where IY is shaking off water from the second movie? I'm on my office computer, and I can't see it, so I'm wondering if I need to tweak some code.

EDIT: I've changed the code a bit in the profile section. Can anyone see the GIF now? (you might need to reload a couple of times to clear your browser's cache, so I appreciate anyone who does this in advance!)

Also, nausicaa0, I will concede that "Ao no Requiem" is 1000% less annoying than the end credit of SDK. In fact, I thought I might be going crazy because there was a point during the series when I couldn't get the tune out of my mind. XD

Also, everyone, I think my phone problem is completely fixed. Yea!

Short post

Well, today's will be a short post. I've done zilch all day long. I've been having some trouble with the phone company, too. Apparently, I'm in the midst of some routing fiasco. At least, that's what my ISP says. I can't call out successfully every time I try it, so that means that I can't get online every time I want to! Wah!

I finished watching Samurai Deeper Kyo last night (that last disc finally came). Though there were some unappreciated plot points, I still quite liked the anime, and that's saying something since I had several marks against it:
1. The soundtrack leaves a lot to be desired. The series' two opening and closing credit songs are both somewhat annoying.
2. The sword fighting is abstract for the most part (which is kinda cool, but seems simple).
3. We don't know what happens to some of the characters at the end, and I don't know enough about Japanese history to extrapolate.

Now I'm just waiting for the first disc of DN Angel and the second disc of Nightwalker. Are there really only two disc of Nightwalker? I kind of like Shido--he's a fancy boy and makes all of these really bawdy remarks that are so amusing. I detest Riho though. Hope none of you are fans.

Maybe this hasn't been such a short post. Sorry! Hopefully, I'll be able to make the rounds tonight! See you all soon!
