Quizzes

I've added two new quizzes at the bottom of the page. One has my Otaku alias, the other my real first name. Surprised? I don't think I seem much like a Jessica. I'm teaching 4 Jessicas in my lit class. I can't believe it's such a popular name. I remember being the only one in my high school until I was a Junior. :D I also have a great many Kates/Katies in my class. Tomorrow, we'll begin discussing the wonderfully postmodern text White Noise. To answer some questions from earlier this week, "no, there's no relationship between the book and this new movie."

I'm just waiting on InuYasha to come on. I've been watching FMA on the DVR (I won't have it much longer because the promotion is over in February).

Comments on comments:

LowRedMoon--I think you're right, and I think Kikyo's supposed to make an appearance too...

Shinkiro--last night's episode was the one where he rescues the little girl. I think she called IY "mister doggie-man!" XD

nausicaa0--yeah, they bathe together, though it really seems that they just run around the house with suds on. :D I wonder if Kagome will be confronted many more times by IY's nudity? A perk of episodes in the 80s, perhaps?

inuyasha311--I've read the episode guide on TVtome. It sounds like a really cool episode!

Yami Loni--I hope you get cable soon! I need to call and arrange for them to take away my beloved DVR (*sniff*).

Inu Yasha

Well, tonight's episode was really comedic, even though there was no Sesshoumaru. Kagome couldn't get anyone to lend her class notes for the days she missed school, and InuYasha came to harry her on top of it all. I really like the relationship developing between Inuyasha and Sota. It's so cute how he idolizes IY (I wonder when we'll learn about Kagome's dad; does anyone know where he is?). I also thought that Sota blow-drying IY's hair was terribly cute.

The cat is sitting on my lap as I type this, which basically means I'm terribly uncomfortable hunching over him to get to the keyboard--he's a rather large cat. I'll try to add an edit in the morning and check anyone who's updated. So far, it's only inuyasha311--and I'm having difficulty loading your page at the moment. And, Capricious Tyrant, your site downloads all sorts of ".asf" files to my computer when I visit you. I think it might be from the media files on your page; thought you might want to know.

Until then, have some cheesecake and tea to tide you over!

EDIT: Eeek! What's this about the wallpaper site being under maintenance?!?! What will we do without the WP site? *deep breaths, deep breaths* OK, so how often does this happen? As far as I know, this is the first time since I joined in October that the wallpaper server has been taken down. Do you think that the ghost private message in my inbox will be removed during the maintenance? It might be worth losing the WP site for a couple of days if that's the case...

Finally, an update!

Hi! Sorry I didn't update this weekend. Thanks to everyone who stopped by anyway! I've been working on a couple of Photoshop/Image Ready items. Notice that my avatar now moves! Yea! Also, I'm putting up a new GIF and a couple of new wallpapers. One is of the minor character, Hakkaku, one of Kouga's companions, and the other is this BG! Check them out if you want!

To answer a few questions from last time:
1. I dye my hair light red. I look like a natural red head (I have pale skin with a pinkish hue), so it works out better than a different color (I hate my natural color, obviously).

2. I did make my cheesecake. I added vanilla and lemon this time, and the result was better than lemon-alone-cheesecakes I have made in the past.

Also, I'm staggered that I've finally broken through the top 500! I'm sure it won't last, but an extra thanks to those of you who visit regularly! Well, off to see your sites!

Postmodernism

I've never seen so many pole-axed expressions as I did this morning when trying to point out the departures of postmodern thought from modern thinking in my English class. Man, why is that humanist grabage still being fed to high school students?

Anyhoo--redyed my hair yesterday! Woo-hoo. I've been trying to get around to that all week. Maybe I can bake that low carb cheesecake sometime this afternoon (something else I've been putting off). Then, I get to read White Noise for Wednesday's preparation! It's such a fabulous book. How can you resist a novel that has one whole section titled "Airborne Toxic Event"? No classes Monday. Yea!

Hi!

Well, I've been helping my sister get her O site up and running. We're ironing out the kinks. I can't see her shoutbox now, though I could see it before she began tinkering with it. Hmmmmm...it's a mystery...not. Anyhoo, check her site out anyway!
She's lowredmoon.

Love ya!

In my office

OK, the semester has to begin sometime, I suppose. I'm currently sitting at my desk in the office. Man, I wish I were home. My office colleague who said she would assign office hours in the afternoon is already here! What a bother--I like to spend my office time alone. Whew--she just left. I hope she didn't get a vibe? Or, maybe she also likes to have alone-time with the office?

Well, more on first-day frustrations when classes are over!

EDIT: Well, i think I scared off some of the less serious students today. If they think my lit course will be massively difficult, that only means that they will be pleasantly surprised to discover that my class is only moderately heinous, ne? I also ran into Tom today on my way back from class. He's such a sweetheart, and you know, Thomas is one of my favorite guy names. ;D Anyhoo (*whistles*), the library also waived its absurd fine, so I'm not out $7 after all. Yea!

Well, time to feed Stanley and me--Tuna, of course! (only mine won't be from a can! XD Tuna steak is yummy!). Currently, the cat is on my lap. Hairy toes! Hairy toes! (Stanley, not me! How could you even suspect me?!)

New BG and wallpaper

I've changed the theme yet again! I've also posted a wallpaper featuring Inuyasha, so take a peek! The WP pics are from The Terror of the Faceless Man episode, when Kagome's friends describe Inuyasha as a delinquent so many times that Kagome imagines him in a laborer's jumpsuit (he looks to be a Mechanic or Plumber from the pipes--maybe his badge says, but I don't read Japanese). It's hilarious! I had trouble making choices on both of these wallpapers, so please, don't judge me too harshly! Also, cleaning up my screencaps takes forever, I hope they look good--I assure you that they were in a most odious condition when I sat down to work with them. XD

My sister has opened her own account! I'll let you know when she posts so you can check out her site.

Eeek! InuYasha is on--a new episode! See ya!

   UPDATE

Sorry I haven't posted for a week! I've been spending my last scrap of break with family and friends (it almost sounds like I'm not otaku when I say that...). Now I'm back in NC. I've just been around to the sites of everyone who commented on my last post. I'll try to make it around to those of you who updated today next.

*gripe*
I have lots of work to catch up on. And, I've been updating my flat-panel iMac all day (when I wasn't straightening out stuff with the library, student affairs, and the cashier), which has kept me from getting online--except to download massive updates over my tortoise connection. I also note that my printer isn't working. *sigh*

Does anyone know a quick and damage-free method of cleaning a computer keyboard? These white keys really need a bath. XD

Hopefully I'll be updating my BG tonight. I have a great idea, but I don't know if my photoshop skills can be deployed quick enough for the morning post. See you around!

Thanks everyone!

I'm glad you all adore Sess as much as I do! I was extremely disappointed when the DVDs didn't offer textless animation for the closing credits which feature him.

Guess what? I've decided to have a go at teaching myself German. I need to take a proficiency exam in April, and I have only the most rudimentary grasp of the German language. However, I only need to be able to read it effectively while using a dictionary. I figure, why waste time not understanding a class? I should be able to muddle along on my own, right? Any suggestions for internet-based references and aids? PM me!

I've only now gotten my hands on the computer--but InuYasha's coming on soon. (I'm watching it with my sister--she hasn't seen this episode because the domestic DVD has yet to be released). I'll be back after it goes off, and I promise to visit everyone who commented on my last post (or whoever comments on this one between now and then). See ya!

New Background and Yu-Gi-Oh

Hi! This is my new Sesshoumaru BG. It's simple, but it's one of my favorite pics of him.

Today, Netflix sent YGO season 2 disc 11 (Showdown in the Shadows). I'm watching it now, so I'll check out your sites and then it's Bakura Time!
