One week left of Witch Hunter Robin

I will likely change the BG one last time for Witch Hunter Robin-fest Novemeber. Look forward to X-fest December. Finally, I got over 1000 downloads of my wallpapers. Yay! Not many of my WHR wallpapers have been downloaded. Why do you think that is? Unpopular anime? Wrong color choices? Take a look, if you will, and give me some feedback. I can take criticism! :D EDIT: BG change accomplished. Another WHR wallpaper is posted as well. Currently, I'm watching episode 22 of Cowboy Bebop. Man, I forgot how hilarious this one is. Disconnected tidbits...

1. I have the rest of the week off!...except for grading more papers, that is. I wonder how much of that will get done? Unfortunately, I won't be able to visit my family over Thanksgiving (can't travel with the cat), but at least I can stump around the apartment with nothing better to do for the next few days. :D 2. I have a strange private message situation. I have an unread PM, but whenever I try to read it, the server returns the message that the PM has been deleted. If you PMed me earlier today and didn't receive a reply, could you resend it? Thanks! 3. I'm ripping some DVDs, or trying to. Full metal Jacket isn't cooperating, but I hope to run it through another couple of programs and finally get all of it backed up. Wish me luck! 4. Also, I've updated to Office 2004, but the installer keeps weirding out on me. I've had to hard restart my beloved iMac, something I never have to do, and the update I downloaded has disappeared! O_o I have to download it all over again--it took me two hours on dial-up. Well, I better have at it, then. Good night!

   No Chucky!

I'm proud to say that my friend relented on the Chucky madness, and I wasn't obliged to see that movie after all. Yay! AND, I had pizza today. Yay! However, I did have some very stupid emails from students asking me about the 6 page paper due tomorrow. "Do we need to make use of outside research?" Hmmm...what does the assignment say. "You must use at least one scholarly source, and any other professional source that you want to add which would help you support your claims." That's a "yes." *rolleyes* You'd think that college kids would have learned how to read by now. Oh! AND, no, the Holy Bible is NOT a scholarly source. *grimace* I swear, I'm going to go postal one of these days... I didn't do squat with grading this weekend. Hopefully, I can get one set of papers graded tomorrow morning or there will be a revolt!

Today

I just finished two X wallpapers, but I'll be stockpiling them for December. I've made these much more simple than most of my wallpapers, so I'll be interested in their reception. So far, I have one Kakyou and one Subaru. I also had the chance to watch the two new YGO this afternoon. I have to say, at the risk of verging on criticism, that I'm not thrilled with how things are going. Yami disappoints us by losing a match with enormously high stakes--though I allow that something like this had to happen to prove that viewers shouldn't become too complacent--but then the two little squirts (Weevil and Rex) play a staring role in the series. I was annoyed that they tagged along in the first place. I think they are both rather dull characters. Now, who knows how many episodes we will need to sit through with those two dueling. *yawn* Pray for me today--I will be sitting through the latest Chucky Hell. I'll be sure to tell you all what a waste of time it was when I return.

Random details of my otherwise boring life...

Yay! My teflon skillet is saved! I love to cook but hate to clean. Well, sometimes food particles tend to stick, even on teflon, so I filled the pan with water, and put it on the burner to boil it off. I walked away and forgot about it *grimace* but figured it out real quick when I detected this funny smell thoughout the apartment. The particles had come off the bottom and broken up, but the water had all steamed off, meaning that I now had this brown burnt sludge glued to the bottom of the pan. I wasn't sure whether it was the food or the teflon. BUT after soaking it a couple of days in water, I was finally able to restore my pan to use. Suffice to say, GrayUndies isn't a whiz in the kitchen. You know where Sano first tastes Kaoru's cooking in Rurouni Kenshin and the two little girls are complaining that it's too spicy? That's me. :D

Change is good!

As you've noticed I have implemented those site changes I mentioned in the previous post. I've put a version of this background up as a wallpaper, too. Tell me what you think. Hope you like it :D Also, a big thanks to BurningDeamon for sending me the URL of the mp3 you may or may not yet be hearing. It might take a while to load, so be patient.    Changing my theme again!

I've decided to change my theme early this week--still WHR but it will be orange-y and Robin will make an appearance (unless I can't get the appropriate hex for text again, that is). It should be up tomorrow! Let me express again just how much Photoshop CS rox! And extend yet another "thanks" to SesshT for the tip, and say I'm glad my greeting cheered you up, Broken Kokoro!

The Dish

I have recently added a MIDI of the tune playing at Harry's in WHR. Couldn't find "Half Pain," though, or "Shell." If you know where such a MIDI can be found, let me know. Will be dragged off to see the latest Chucky flick by the friend I met for lunch today. *sigh* Tomorrow's her birthday, so I wanted to make her happy.
