Whew!

OK, I just visited everyone on my list! Sorry again for not showing up the last couple,of days.

Currently, I'm watching Hero. I really had to own this DVD because of the direction and cinematography. BUT, I must admit that I don't like much of the martial arts work (not because the fights are more like ballet, which is part of the point made with this film, but) primarily because of the fake-looking weaponry. Does that aspect of this film bother anyone else? ...It is beautiful, though.

UPDATE!!

Sorry I haven't been to any of your sites or updated recently. I've been enjoying my vacation in Tennessee. It's been one shopping trip, family get-together or anime fest after another over here. XD So, I've been having a fabulous time. I hope your holidays have been equally fun!

I watched Full Metal Alchemist this morning and it totally rocked. This anime is really picking up to me. If you've been living under a rock for the last two months, you should check it out on Adult Swim.

I'm looking forward to January being InuYasha month. I've been scouring my discs for new screen caps. Unfortuanately, the later episodes and movies that I do have are not top-notch in quality. I hope to have a Miroku wallpaper this time around (but expect lots of Sesshoumaru)!

I'll check out your sites tonight before I go to bed and try to post again tomorrow. I've promised to spend the day with my sister, though, and I want to introduce her to .hack//SIGN and Wolf's Rain. Hopefully, she'll like them as much as InuYasha (well, maybe not AS much but ALMOST as much).

Last X BG!

This is my last background! Next month will feature Sesshoumaru and InuYasha backgrounds, so be ready! ;)

My Christmas was really great except...a whole bunch of people I never met before were there and some of my cousins who are recently married weren't able to stick around on both Christmas Eve and Day. My cousin came in from Cali with his girlfriend--man she's tall (6'3')! My uncle's wife's children and their families were there--the son and his family barely spoke and the daughter was all bossy and nosey. Ah! Family! *rolls eyes*

I did get my iPod--so happy--and my Prince of Persia: Warrior Within for PS2. Yea! My sister's Christmas presents from me just arrived today. I was really steamed that she didn't have anything to unwrap from me on Saturday. Anyway, I'm going to be spending giftcard $$ later this evening, so I'll try to visit as many of you as possible in the next hour or so!

MERRY CHRISTMAS!

This post is to let people know that I'm not going to be around for the next two days. I'm sorry, but I'll try to get around to all of your sites when the holidays are over!

Have fun, everyone!

Tomorrow, tomorrow!

I'll be spending all morning with my sister, running around in the rain/snow. I don't look forward to it, but I'm happier when she has someone with her when she drives in such conditions. She has gifts to deliver to her underlings. Why can't she just be a scrooge? *joking*

I've really got her hooked on InuYasha now. We watched 6 episodes tonight. And this is after she spent 9 hours working, mind you! Maybe I can switch her on to Hellsing? It's just so great, but I don't think she'll like Ceres Victoria...I can't persuade her to try Witch Hunter Robin, and I know she'd dislike Rurouni Kenshin or Trigun (you have to sit through at least 6 episodes before you really appreciate them).

Comments on comments--

Shinkiro--Ah ha! I knew you were the CB culprit! Quit jonesing after Spike and send in that 6th disc NOW! ;) I've only seen a few eps of Saiyuki (and i think they were in the middle--didn't really understand what was going on. I can't wait to sit down with the DVDs. I was inspired by your site to look up the series on Netflix. Lo and behold, there it was.

inuyasha311--I'll try to check out Vandread. Crispin Freeman does one of the English voices, so that's a plus (I like to watch anime in both English and Japanese).

Number 5--I liberate anime from the corporate pigs whenever I can! Invest in a Netflix account... ;)

nausicaa0, Hisui, & Capricious Tyrant--I'm mainly annoyed because the font IS a free font. This person could have PMed and asked me what font it was. I'm also irked that this butchery happened to my Bakura wp and was put on another Bakura wp (I mean, make your own font choices, right?). I wish I could subscribe to the imitation-is-a-form-of-flattery philosophy, but I just can't. Oh well--I'm not the most generous person in the world. :D

New X wallpapers

If you missed my previous edit, let me re-tell you that I have posted some more X wallpapers. Hope you like them! ^^

Right now, I'm watching my .hack//SIGN DVDs before InuYasha comes on. I love dot hack, but I really feel like this one misses a whole episode of closure and tying up the various threads of the story. Oh well. I sound like a broken record. I say that every time I watch this anime.

I think I'll bump up Saiyuki and DNAngel to the top of my Netflix queue. After the new InuYasha DVDs and Cowboy Bebop 6. Bebop 6 is STILL out--freakin' CB fan, return the blanket-y-blank 6th DVD, blanket-y-blank-it!. (censored-censored-censored)

*whistles, looks around innocently*
Anywayz, I've not seen DNAngel before. What do you all think of it?

EDIT:
I noticed that someone cut out the font on my Yami Bakura wallpaper and used it on their own wp. NOT COOL. I mean, can't people trouble themselves enough to go get their own fonts?! Do they have to cut up pieces of my wallpapers that I worked so hard on? Pisses me off.

Finally

Well, I finally made a background that I kinda like. Here's Kakyou. At first, this page featured the two possible Kamuis, but I decided I didn't like that one so much. I like this one better, but I'm not 100% satisfied. There might be another one up tomorrow.

In other news, I finally have the house to myself! I tell you, it's difficult being at home with three other people that you don't live with for 9 months out of the year. Of course, the first thing I decide to do is post here (and watch Star Trek--I'm such a geek!). Well, off to enjoy my alone time; more later.

EDIT:
Oh! And BrokenKokoro is feeling under the weather lately, so go cheer her up, everyone!

EDIT:
I've posted this BG and two other X themes as wallpapers. Check them out if you have a moment. I worked forever on the background images for these, but I'm not sure how other people will take them. Not that anyone downloads X wallpapers anyway! ;D "Thanks!" to those of you who do follow the anime and like my WPs, BTW.

Tomorrow's Update

Tomorrow, sometime, I will post a new X background. I haven't hit upon a scheme for it yet. My tendency is to have another Kakyou one (he's my favorite X bishie). I want it to be somewhat Christmas-y though, at least in color scheme. We'll see.

I'm currently watching the cast commentary on the extended edition RotK. The actors are so humorous.
Question of the Day: Which cast member of RotK would you most like to know in daily life?

Gray Undies's answer: I would very much like to know Billy Boyd (Pippin). He's so funny and seems like such a sweet person. It would be great fun to be his next-door neighbor, I'd think. The other cast members might be very interesting, but probably not as nice or open as Billy Boyd? I would most like to meet Viggo Mortensen.

I'll probably update with more later! See ya!

Update

Another day without posting! Sorry about that. I'll be visiting your sites in the order you commented on my last post (then I'll get to today's updates).

Went shopping again today. The last gift card (the gift of shopping) has been purchased, and now I can forget about gifts and such like until Christmas Eve. I visited my cousin's house and watched Collateral on DVD. It was only OK. We also ate at this great restaurant, Aubrey's Cafeteria. If you are ever in East TN, look it up. It's a local eatery with two locations. I particularly recommend the Rattlesnake pasta and Cheesecake with caramel topping (went so far off the diet that it can no longer be seen with the naked eye). My cousin has 4 cats--2 of them new--who all live in her tiny house. I have one. She scoops their litter once every three days. I scoop my cat's litter once every day-day 1/2. You do the math... O_o

Comments on Comments
inuyasha 311--I'm not familiar with Ronin Warriors or Lodos Wars (though I've thought of picking up LW several times). Let me know what you think once you've watched a few episodes.

Blonde Angel--LotR:RotK is Lord of the Rings: Return of the King (Peter Jackson directs). It's the best adaptation of the books I can imagine. In fact, it's much better than what I thought it would be except for the army of the dead (don't get me started on that subject)--and I would have been satisfied with much less than what this series of films delivers.

marz--YGO comes on WB, and sometimes (G4)TechTV shows anime, specifically Anime Unleashed which previews anime recently out on DVD. Otherwise, it's just CN. I don't think the other networks with cartoon programming show anime.

Everyone else--I think I'm slowly convincing my sister to love InuYasha. She seemed to think Sess was fabulous--which he is! And, I think she was terribly amused by Miroku. We'll see if I can convince her to watch the next 6 episodes. This means that I'm at least getting to watch InuYasha! ;D

LotR: RotK

The extended edition totally kicks butt! There are a few more scenes with Faramir and lots of extended scenes. The new version does nod at Faramir + Eowyn (at least), not to mention a few scenes where Faramir develops his relationship with Denethor. Also, there are a number of scenes with Aragorn, the end of Saruman's story, and also the meeting of the Witch King and Gandalf to look forward to. You should at least rent it, even if you are the most remote of fans.

Not much anime-watching going on here in Tennessee. *grimace* My sister is foolishy disinterested in anime. It's hard, I tell you. I know she'd like a couple of the series I have on DVD if she'd only take the time to watch the first episodes or so. *grrr!* She can be so stubborn! And, I need my fix real soon! Currently, I'm watching FMA on CN. It's all I've got!
