*mwee*

The new Tool album, 10,000 Days... oh, gods. So, so, so, so good.

Buy it. All of you. Maynard James Keenan is love.

   Public Service Announcement

Today is my roleplaying character Himitsu Kaida's birthday. Rejoice!

...

Yes, I'm celebrating the birthday of a fictional character. There's nothing wrong with that.

(Oh, yes, I have one exam left and then I'm done for the semester. Going home on Tuesday night. Eeyay.)

   Essay... done. Whew.

So, I'm almost done for the school year... another two days of classes, two exams, and one presentation to go before I'm finished. I feel pretty good about all of it; after scraping an A on my Japanese oral final, I'm almost guaranteed an A in that class. I've calculated things out, and basically, as long as I get a B+ or above on my last remaining things, I'll have a 4.0 for the semester. Shweet.

Anyway.

I know I've raved about the joy of Pink Floyd before, but I say again: they're fantastically awesome. I could loop their music for days.

So, I've got some essay-ing left to do yet, but...

Wednesday, April 26th is the National Day of Silence. All the cool kids are doing it!

That's the sole reason for this post.

Oh, wait! I almost forgot. Rejoice! Rejoice! The day has come at last! Now we just need to get Dick Cheney's name in that bill somewhere and we'll be set.

Back to my paper. Whee, Cherokee syllabary.

Must go to bed... but first...

Cosplay! A couple pictures here. I may submit more when I have more chances to take photographs.

That's it for tonight, since I'm sleepy and have some work to do before bed. I hope you guys approve! ^_^;

Five days until SakuraCon!

Squeee.

I'll be leaving school Thursday night, and the Con starts on Friday. If I can manage to wake up early and make the appointment, I'll get my hair dyed today (Monday), and failing that, Wednesday.

My costume is almost finished. I'm sure I can have it done by Tuesday, since all I need to do is finish putting the neckband together and improvise a way to tie it off at my waist.

Squeeeee.

There will be SO many pictures. I won't have a digital camera this year, but I can get photos put on CDs when I get them developed.

I'm so excited. XD I'm also entering full panic mode. Heh. However, I'm a whole lot further on my costume than a lot of people I'm going with, so. XD

I hope everyone's doing well and that school isn't being too frustrating (not much longer until summer!).

As of midnight tonight, it is exactly four weeks until SakuraCon.

So!

I don't believe I have announced this here yet... I'm going to a con in the last weekend of March, and I will be cosplaying the lovely Yoruichi, from Bleach. Yay. XD

So far, I have all of the costume bits sorted out except for her shoes. I'm really not sure how I should go about those. Right now, it's looking like I'll just have to make them out of something white and durable, solely by eyeballing them. XD That'll be fun.

Aaanyway... yes, so, I will be dying my hair purple for this. Mwee.

There will be pictures when the time comes.

Anyone else going to SakuraCon this year? (Website, for those who don't know: www.sakuracon.org)

   Sweet Zombie Charles Darwin!

... it's Valentine's Day. XD And I'm not dead, for the most part.

Any scintillating developments since Christmas? Well. I stretched the tendons in my elbows about a week and a half ago, so I've had to temporarily drop kendou. On the plus side, I'm recovering a lot faster than I thought I would, and I'm going to try and find another doctor for a second opinion and a more accurate prognosis as to when I can start again without doing any more damage. ^_^;

Other than that... Katamari Damacy is awesome and has devoured my brain.

I'm enjoying my classes, though it's a pretty heavy courseload. The semester is almost a third over already. Time flies. o_o; We've had sun for a good five or six days, and it's been lovely.

That's really about it. Happy Valentine's Day to all; spend some time with your significant other if you have one, and bask in the joys of being single if you're like me. XD

   *rises from the dead*

Heeeeyyyyy. XD

I'm so lazy and horrible, but jeez, how could I go without wishing you guys a merry Christmas, happy Hannukah, cheerful Kwanzaa, lovely Winter Solstice, fantastic Yule, and in general a very nice holiday season?

I would have felt very bad if I hadn't. XD Hope you guys are having a great season, and that those of you on winter vacation are making the most of it!

Not too much has happened lately. I'm home from school until mid-January, and I'm taking the time to do some writing and generally get caught up on lost sleep. My grades just came out today; two A's, one A minus, and two B plusses. I'm really quite thrilled, seeing as in one of the B plus classes, I hadn't gotten any better than a B minus on any assignment. XD

Anyway. Some new things have sprung up in my life. My birthday gift from the whole family was a Cort acousitc guitar, since I've expressed great interest in learning to play, and since my brother teaches professionally, he's agreed to give me some lessons before I go back to school. Hopefully I can get someone there to continue the lesson-ing. Also, I've picked up a set of some really wonderful speakers for Benihime, my laptop. They're those Bose Companion 2 speakers, and MY GODS, I don't think I've ever heard such wonderful sound quality in my LIFE. I highly recommend them to anyone considering upgrading their sound system. Bose truly owns my soul.

Last but not least, I got new glasses. They're beige-ish and kind of rectangular, and the kind that only has half of the frame (on the top half of the lenses). They make me happy.

That's about it. No progress on BFP, really, since I didn't have a lot of time during the last month of school, and I've been too lazy here at home to do much. XD

Anyway, a very happy holiday to everyone, whatever you may celebrate, and a wonderful New Year!
