   Lost in Translation
I'm currently obsessed with finishing the translation of the Tales of the Abyss manga I bought at the end of last year. I think I have around 20 pages left...

Translating manga - for someone who only has a Kanji dictionary, a Japanese-English dictionary, and two and a half years of experience in Japanese - is a long process, but a fun one.

At least, I think it's fun. The other day, I was working on it during my TA period, and one of my friends asked me how I could do it and "isn't it really boring?" NO!!! Translating manga is super-fun for me, but I guess that just shows how much I love Japan!

Once I finish the first Tales of the Abyss, I'm starting on Gin Tama. I know it's in Shonen Jump now, but I don't get Jump anymore and I have the first two graphic novels in Japanese, so I might as well, right?

Anyway, sorry for ranting! Enjoy the art I put up, and please hope I feel better! I'm sore all over from dancing - choreography for the musical - for three hours straight on Friday.

   Yuckies...
Oogh... I've been sick most of the week... The good thing about today was that I got to watch Beauty and the Beast. I luv that movie!

On Tuesday, I felt like crap all day, but I had to keep on because it was the first meeting about the musical and it was very important. Things got worst when we had to dissect a cow eye in anatomy - normally I would've thought it was cool, but when you feel like you're gonna puke before you get to class, it doesn't help.

So I've been home for the rest of the week, and behind on English homework, too... I just can't think of anything to write about Oedipus Rex. Nothin' at all...

Have you ever cried over a video game or anime? I almost am. I'm playing Tales of the Abyss right now - well, I will be once I log off - and something sad just happened to someone I liked... I know! I'll commemorate him forever with fanart!

Hold your horses, TotA fanart comin' soon! And it's not someone you'd expect to see in fanart, if you've played the game. But if you've played the game and you know the sad event I'm talkin' 'bout, you might know... Whatevs. Just hang on til this weekend - maybe longer.

   Oh well...
So I didn't get a lead in the show. Casting was actually finished on Friday, but I didn't have time to post over the weekend - even though it was a long weekend, I opted for watching anime and playing Tales of the Abyss with my brother. I am "Lady Rowena," who is a lady in waiting. My director tried to comfort me by telling me that she was in most of the scenes, but I still cried over not getting the lead.

Cuz guess what. The two late-bies - the ones I mentioned in my last post - got the lead roles. I was half pissed off half heart-broken. Now I'm just sleepy, though.

Oh! We got anime over the weekend, the Oracle and I. He got the first DVD of Bobobob-bo Bo-bobo, which I know some people hate, but I think it's funny in a stupid/random kind of way. I got Black Cat 2, and I'm uber happy that Train finally joined Svenny and Eve!

Anyhoo... I'm gonna go finish my response to Oedipus Rex now... That'll be fun (not). See ya soon! I hope... I'm gonna be at school an awful lot now due to drama...

   I got my permit!!
Yeah, so my brother and I went to the DMV yesterday and I got my permit! I know I could've got it about two years ago, but I'm lazy. And I wasn't about to let my little brother beat me to it!

Anyway, that's all that's happened pretty much. Casting for the musical will be done on Tuesday. I have my fingers crossed that I will get a lead... Hey, please comment on my V-Day piece (or anything else) if you haven't already! I appreciate any and all criticism...

   Happy After V-day!
Well, I didn't find love yet... But I'm okay with it. RiceFlinga made some earrings for me and another one of my friends! They're so pretty!

I put up new art, but I kinda think I might've accidentally submitted it twice... You guys can tell me, and I can take one down if I did.

Callbacks for the musical were yesterday, but I'm worried now... Two girls - who knew about the tryouts the first two days - decided they were gonna try out late. Their conditions were that they would only be in the play if they both were in it and if they both got leads. That pisses me off! It's not fair for them to audition two days late and make their own conditions... But the reason I'm worried is that both of them sing really good... I really wanted to get a lead... Boo hoo...

   Good morning, good morning, good morning
I'm schleepy... I had so much fun this weekend... On Saturday there was a bowling thing for my school, and we reserved a huge area at Big Al's. that was exciting... I had fun bowling with all my friends - sorry Doodle, I should've invited you... But it was really fun...

I'm gonna go sleep now... Nuffin' else to say... Besides this: I'm working on translating the Tales of the Abyss manga and I finally got sticky notes to put on the pages! Soon, normal people - who don't speak Japanese - will be able to read it, too! Yay!

   Bad Start
Today is off to a pretty bad start. The first thing that happened to me this morning is this:

I went into the bathroom, and I sneezed, and because my head went forward I hit my head on the corner of the door. Owwie! It hurt so bad!

Second, once I got to school I realized that I don't have my thumb drive with me, which has all my homework assignments because my printer is broken.

Not to mention I, along with everyone else I know, practically, is sick. That totally sucks. Ah well...

I've started reading Sherlock Holmes. Why? Cause he's so cool!!! I've had a book of Sherlock Holmes stuff since I was, like, thirteen. I don't think I would've even understood Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's language back then!

By the way, you know how L sits with his knees up by his face? Sherlock Holmes sat like that sometimes!!! It said in my book that he curled up in his chair and brought his knees up to his nose. I love detectives!!!

Anyway, I have to try and recover as much of my homework as possible, so I'll talk to you later.

   HEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEY!!!
Well, I'm home sick. My throat is totally killing me... Good thing I have this computer to talk for me, 'cuz I can't.

D. Gray-man 4 is out... That's good news... So is Bleach 17, which my brother let me read. I wonder when they'll get out of the Soul Society (if they ever do)?

Anyway, I've been working on a poster contest for the art school I want to go to. I just finished on Saturday. Maybe I'll put it up some time, but not now. I AM putting up another picture, though. Check it out! the first one to use Copic markers! Yay!

I'm gonna try to do some Tales fanart, and oh! Y'know what? Maybe I'll do some Dragon Quest VIII fanart, too. That would be fun...

   Whooooooooooooo....
Showcase went off without a hitch - mostly. It was great fun, and everyone said I did well. I don't want to brag, but that's what they said... Everyone else did really well, too. I'm so proud of all my drama buddies!!!

But... I used up all this energy I didn't know I had for the show, so now I'm absolutely tired. Next week we get to watch the video of the performance!!! I don't like watching myself on tape, though...

Anyway, Doodle 7 and Draelren (and Rice Flinga) all came. It was pretty cool, right guys? I thought so... I'm so happy now. And relieved...

BTW, did you hear about the Boston bomb scare? The one that turned out to be an advertising campaign for adult swim? I did a current event on it. It was pretty interesting. ^-^

So... I hope to see you people again soon...

   Showcase Tomorrow!!!
Yikes, it's tomorrow... Actually... I've memorized all my lines for all the scenes I'm in. And ha! I got the script for my monologue at 6:30 this morning and I already have it memorized (and it's only 7:52!). Austin can't whine about memorizing scripts when I memorized mine in less than an hour and he's had his for a few days at least.

I also have band today!!! RiceFlinga and I will be reunited at last! Well, I actually see her a lot at school, but I don't have much time to hang out with her. So...

Anyway, if I'm on at all tomorrow, it'll be in the morning. I'll give you an update this weekend on how the drama thing goes. Hope it goes well...
