Where Have All The Sane People Gone...
So I just found out Tuesday afternoon that my 18 year-old sister is planning on moving out. The whole "getting caught partying and drinking" thing was apparently a big deal breaker for her. She's decided that she can't live here anymore. I'd bet money that she'll forget about all this in a month's time. Hell, it's a win-win situation for me. She stays, I get proved right. She leaves, and I get her room (which is bigger than mine, since she used to share it with my youngest sister) But I'm just gonna sit back and see how this turns out. Oh well. And in other news, it just hit me today that Halloween is almost a month away. Yay! It's my favorite holiday. And not because of the candy. There's just something about Halloween that makes you feel all warm and fuzzy (or maybe that's just me ^_^) So now I have to go and prepare. I've got to find a costume for my co-worker's Karaoke-Costume party and I'll have to remember to buy doggy treats for my dead dog O.o So much to do! Well, later...

Whoo! Gotta Love Those Filler Entries!
Hey people, just passing on through. I had a few minutes to spare, and while I'm very sleep from lack of tired, I'm not unconcious yet (wow, that came out all wrong ^_^) And I'm noticing that I'm not making very much sense right now, so I'll just go before I end up snoring on my keyboard. Later.

"The shnozeberries taste like shnozeberries!"
-Super Troopers-(or Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory. I felt I had to put in the reference today. Although I'm not quite sure how you spell "shnozeberries" ^_^)

   I'm Free!!!!
Yay! My parents have returned! They came back Sunday around 2 pm. And, amazingly enough, my sister went a whole 5 hours without being caught for any of the stupid things she did this week. Then they found out and I had to spend an hour on my toes, trying to downplay everything and get her ass off the line (well, a little bit less on the line ^_^) I feel I've done my sisterly duties for the time being. Anyway, I have a different, Naruto based comment to make. Hang on a second. *adjusts body armor and bullet-proof visor on protective helmet* Alright, here goes. I think Kakashi-sensei is cooler than Sasuke. *dives behind bomb tested, psychic-proof glass while Sasuke fan-girls everywhere sense a slight to their fave and send me evil thoughts* Is it safe to come out now? Ok, now that I've gotten that over with, I'm going to go on to say that my natural curiousity wouldn't let me rest until I had downloaded the 5th Naruto episode and seen what happens next. Damn you, Cartoon Network! I was on a budget this week, a budget! I was done buying anime for this time period! *sigh* Oh well. At least it proved my theory. I could so tell that they were supposed to use teamwork. Muwahahaha! I love it when I'm right. Well, later everyone.

-Quote of the Day-
"What are you, drunk?"
"Drunk enough to kick your ass!"
-Super Troopers- (Haha, this movie has the best Willy Wonka reference ever. Anyone even know what I'm talking about?)

   Groovy
Whooo! Good vibes going today. New episdes of Full Metal and Naruto tonight. Yay! Also, my grandparents are watching my little brother and sister so I have the afternoon to myself. ^_^ And, on other notes, I've got nothing but compliments on my article (yay!) and I got to go see "The Corpse Bride" yesterday. Granted, I had to take the little kids with me, but hey, as long as I got to see it. And it was so neat! Stop-motion is so cool! I'm kind of sad that Danny Elfman only got to sing one song, but at least he sang. He did so well in "Nightmare Before Christmas". I was also a little put out by the music itself, since I don't think it was quite up to the standards of "Nightmare", but it's ok, since this movie wasn't as musically dependant as "Nightmare" was. Oh, and speaking of which, "Corpse Bride" was quite a bit darker, but in the classic, gorgeous Tim Burton way. I'm not going to say anything about the story though, since I don't want to spoil anyone's fun. Well, off I go. Later.

   Happiness Is A Posted Article
Yay! Both my new wallpaper and my article are up now. *squeal* Sorry, I like sharing. So go check it out please people. And comment! I want to hear from people!

-Quote of the Day-

"The power of Satori (Mind-reading. Kinda.)

Muramasa: Nice weather today!
Kyo: ...
Muramasa: What?! Laundry?! Don't worry -- I hung it out already! So, you want rice balls or something in a bowl for lunch?
Kyo: ...
Muramasa: Excellent! Rice balls with salmon and pickled plum it is! You seem grumpy today. Something the matter?
Kyo: ...
Muramasa: What? The radishes have sprouted?! That's good news!
Kyo: ...
Muramasa: ...Don't worry, I'm sure they'll grow just fine.
Author's Note: The real reason Kyo is silent...(maybe)
Kyo: ...
Muramasa: Great idea, Kyo! Sweet potato pie for dessert!"

-Samurai Deeper Kyo (the manga)- (Hahaha, being raised by a cheery "psychic" just might do that to a person ^_^)

   Hello!
I'm in the home stretch! I only have to be in charge for two more days, then it's back to normal. Yay! No more waking up at 6 am to wrangle children and no more kicking drunk high school kids out of my house because my 18 year-old sister (her birthday's today) thinks she can try to pull one over on my parents and have parties while they're gone. As if the neighbors aren't going to notice 20 cars parked down the street and all the noise those idiots make. She's so dumb sometimes. She doesn't realize how laid-back our parents really are (I got to do pretty much whatever the hell I wanted) and that the only reason they don't let her do all the stuff she wants is because she always tries to pull stuff over on them and so they don't trust her. It's a never-ending cycle. *sigh* Oh well. Anyway, enough negativity. On to other stuff! I submitted a new wallpaper. It's DNAngel, should be up sometime today. Also, I wrote a new article recently and submitted that as well. So watch for it. I'm so excited! Yay! Well, see ya later. (most likely Saturday...)

   Eh, That's Life...
Hello folks, I'm just posting to make a mention that I probably won't be on myotaku much this week. My parents have gone on a business trip and I have to take care of my little brother and sister, so that doesn't leave me much time *sigh* Oh well. At least I got to buy the kind of yogurt and frozen foods I like with the grocery money. I ask you, what's wrong with key lime flavored yogurt! And Pizza Rolls! Hmm, now I'm hungry. Anyway, off to sleep. Got children to wake-up in the morning. Later.

-Quote of the Day-
"You know, with the exception of one deadly and unpredictable midget, this girl is the smallest cargo I've ever had to transport yet by far the most troublesome. Does that seem right to you?"
"What'd he do?"
"Who?"
"The midget."
"Arson." *shakes head* "That little man loved fire."
-Firefly- (Serenity comes out in theaters on the 30th! Hmm, I just realized that I've been using Serenity/Firefly quotes for three days now. Gotta start diversifying ^_^)

   Hi!
Well people, just popping in for a second to mention my new e-card. I randomly decided to make one and I posted it Saturday. It's up now and available for viewing. See ya later...

-Quote of the Day-
"Let me show you the rest, and try to see past what she [the ship] is and on to what she can be."
"What's that, sir?"
"Freedom is what."
*looks down* "I meant what's that?"
"Oh. Yeah, just step around that. I think something must have been living in here."

   Whooo!
Fullmetal countdown! 23 hours to go until an all new episode on [Adult Swim]! And despite the fact that I'm a little too happy for this time of night/day/whatever, everything's going good. I've got a new wallpaper in the works, as well as my drawing of Yuki, which I started a little bit of on my work break. Well, off I go. Later.

-Quote of the Day-
"This is going to get pretty interesting."
"Define 'interesting'."
"Oh God, Oh God, we're all gonna die."
-Serenity- (that movie they're making based off of that TV show "Firefly")

   It's Man-Mascara!
I finally did it! I finished my Kyo drawing. It is now up in my fan art section. I had lots of fun with the eyes, first of all because Kyo doesn't have any definate pupils. That's what I love about Takaya-sensei's work. None of the Fruits Basket characters have pupils. Look at the color pictures on the manga covers. There's only a darkening in the middle that suggests it. Subtlety! The other reason I had fun with the eyes is because I got to apply the "man-mascara" as I call it. I love anime that way. Everyone looks like they're wearing it! Anyway, now that I've rambled aimlessly about all that, on to other things. I recently just realized the literary allusion involving the character Sasuke from Naruto. I'm a little slow sometimes ^_^ Anyway, I thought I'd post a summary that I found online that briefly introduces the boy-ninja known as Sarutobi Sasuke, famous in Japanese children's stories. Enjoy!

The Story of Sasuke Sarutobi

Sasuke Sarutobi, one of the heroes of ninjutsu, was created in Tachikawa literature at the end of the meiji period. Up until that time, the general image of ninjutsu was related to black arts, witchcraft, magic, hobgoblins, thieves, and assassins. Sasuke was a mischievous boy. Books describe him as an innocent child with a strong sense of justice. In the stories, great importance was placed on humor, with actual combat considered secondary.
One day, Sasuke said to himself, "I’m already ten years old. It’s no longer practical for me to practice yatoo (a form of Kiai-spirit shout) with monkeys and deer. I’ll follow my father’s advice and seek a master swordsman to train me. I’m going to go to Okunoin in the Torie Pass to ask the gods to provide me with a good master."
When Sasuke arrived at Okunoin, he began playing among the clumps of trees rather than practicing yatto. Not satisfied with a stick, Sasuke grappled with a large tree, trying to twist is down. Then, he heard someone laughing at him. Sasuke called, "Hey, who are you? I’m concentrating on fencing. Don’t you dare laugh at me. Come out here. I’ll not forgive you." As he looked around, he saw an old man with swept-back long hair tied at the back of his head smiling at him. The man’s hair was as white as snow. Sasuke asked, "Oh, you laughed at me, didn’t you, old man?"
The old man answered, "Yes I did."
Sasuke asked him again fiercely, "Why did you laugh at me? Answer me. If there is no good reason, I’ll never forgive you even if you are an old man."
The old man laughed and said, "Well, Sasuke, you were practicing with a tree, but this is like practicing with a dead enemy. You can’t improve your fencing that way. Do you want to learn fencing so badly?"
This was the age of civil wars, and only a few people could live to an old age. Therefore, Sasuke reasoned, an elderly fencing instructor was surely a master at martial arts.
Sasuke said, "Old man, are you a master of martial arts? I want to learn the secrets of martial arts."
"What are you going to do with them, after you learn them?"
"I’ll be a strong swordsman and win fame and honor."
"Wonderful. What an admirable goal for only a boy! All right. I’m going to give you a lesson in consideration of your zeal and determination."
Sasuke prostrated himself before the old man and thanked him. Then, Sasuke delivered a sword stroke to the old man. However, he had disappeared. Sasuke looked around nervously. Then, he was suddenly tripped by an attack from behind and fell flat on his face. The old man appeared suddenly in front of Sasuke with a smile.
The old man taught Sasuke for the next three years. He tried to teach him the godan or fifth-level secrets by saying, "Don’t you have your eyes in your back? How handicapped you are!
"You’ll be a failure unless you know how to defend your weak point, even if you know the unguarded point of your opponent. The secret of defense in martial arts is to always be alert.
"Unless one knows his own weak point, he can never be certain that the weak point of his opponent is not a decoy."
In addition to ankokutoshijutsu techniques for seeing in the dark, Sasuke learned to listen for stealthy footsteps coming from more than thirty meters away.
One day the old man handed a scroll to Sasuke and said to him, "Well, Sasuke, this is my parting gift, the rules of Ninjutsu. Carry it with you for life and behave prudently. When you are in combat with others or meet heroes and great men, you’ll never be beaten if you understand what is written in this scroll."
When the old man gave the scroll to Sasuke, he for the first time revealed his name as Hakuunsai Tozawa, and then disappeared.

-Quote of the Day-
“Excuse me, I’ve been turned into a cow. Can I go home?”
“You’re excused. Anybody else?”
“No, no, we’re good.”
