Zombie Post (aka It's 1:30 am and I'm Basically Asleep...)
Yeah, I'm just dropping in to say that I added a new wallpaper. I'm not sure when it will be up, but sometime soon. Like I said before, it's sad, cause I work better with the sad and depressing stuff for some reason. Eh. Well, anyway, Zombie roboartemis signing out now. Later.

   Eh, It Balances Out...
I’m sick again T_T But only a little. Just some slightly congested airways and a cough here or there, usually only when I laugh first. We just turned our heat on today, so I blame my cold on that ^_^ Actually, we tried to turn it on yesterday, but it wouldn’t work. So my uncle came over today and fixed it. Yay for electricians! Especially since my uncle will tell us the stories that my mom is too embarrassed to talk about *hehehe* Like the time Grandpa got drunk and lost a fight with the cat. Hahahaha!

Oh, and something else happened today as well. This traveling group came to the college today and gave free salsa lessons in the cafeteria. I could see them from where I was working at the school textbook store (I was stuck at the cash register today. So boring!) but unfortunately, the group was only there for precisely the time I was working, so no salsa lessons for me T_T Oh well. One of my co-workers was out there dancing though. Maybe I’ll ask her to give me some pointers next time I see her.

In anime news, I ordered the last episodes I was missing from Yu Yu Hakusho. Muwahahaha, soon all 112 episodes will be mine, on bilingual, optionally subtitled DVDs no less. I love import sets! All the legality and guilt free emotions of buying from the rights owners, but at a wonderful fraction of the cost. Thank You EBay and Amazon! *prostrates self before internet sales gods* You bring me affordable anime, and for that I am ever your loyal servant!

Ok, now that that’s all over, I’ll be leaving now. I’m happily bouncing on some good vibes right now. Weeeeeeee! See ya!

-Quote of the Day-
“Life is a tragedy for those who feel, and a comedy for those who think.”
-Jean de la Bruyère- (I love this quote, because it’s so true. Hey, I didn’t get the nickname “Android” in high school for being the emotional type. I got it for being the analytical one who seemed to laugh at everything as if I possessed no human emotions. Ahh, those were the good ol’ days. Actually, they sucked, but there were always plenty of people to laugh at/with, so it evens out ^_^)

Here is the actual tea house. Stupid tree with your stupid branches getting in my way! But besides that, the picture came out fine ^_^ (remember what I said about illnesses and them making me crazy... yeah...)

   I'm So Weak...
I went to the bookstore. Again. Damn you Saiyuki! You and your cliff hangers! I think I'm getting addicted to Saiyuki (*wails* Not again! I just got adjusted to being addicted to Bleach *cries tears of rage*) I'm a sucker for anything comedic. Nothing can stand in the way of my funny hunger! And also, Cho Hakkai is cool (despite a rather, um... disturbing revelation about his past, but I won't ruin anything for anyone). I'm beginning to notice a theme in all my favorite anime characters. I'll show you: Bleach is Urahara, DNAngel is Kosuke (Daisuke's dad), Fruits Basket is Hatori and Mayu-sensei, Full Metal Alchemist is Risa Hawkeye and Izumi Curtis, InuYasha is Sesshomaru, Saiyuki is Hakkai, and Yu Yu Hakusho is Kurama. It's always the mysterious, calm, collected, and/or wise ones. Not to mention that most of the above can kick some serious ass as well ^_^ *throws out arms* I Love Anime And Manga! And on that uplifting note, I'll leave you all. Later.

-Quote fo the Day-
Goku: "Sanzo! I wanna sleep in here. Crapface drew on my leg while I was asleep!"
Gojyo: "Wha? Well, you were snoring so loud I couldn't sleep!!"
Goku: "I don't wanna stay in Gojyo's room!"
Gojyo: "Fine by me, Monkey-boy!"
Goku: "Don't call me monkey!!"
Gojyo: "All right, how about moron?"
Sanzo: *tower of rage* "SILENCE! I've had a hangover for two days. You don't want to cross me."
Goku and Gojyo: *cower in fear* "He's not kidding!"
Hakkai: *smirking* "It's simpler to raise children. Though you make a decent father."
Sanzo: ".... I do hope you're joking."
-Saiyuki-

Here's a different bridge that... well, it doesn't really cross anything, but it looks cool... ^_^

   Tra La La...
Well, I just got back from Borders. So much for trying to budget. I bought four new mangas: Revolutionary Girl Utena, Vol 2; Orphen, Vol 3; Saiyuki, Vol 2; and Bleach, Vol 1 (I know, I know, I can get the Bleach manga online, but I'm a firm believer in paying those wonderful people who own the rights. Plus book form is so much more portable ^_^)
I also learned today that trying to check up on your site at work (hey, we're slow as hell this time of the semester) is probably not the best idea, as the covert manner in which it is done can lead to a distinct lack of quality in your PMing abilities ^_^
Well, I'm off to go do some reading. Sadly, it is of the Personal Wellness variety and not the new manga one T_T Later everyone.

-Quote of the Day-
Jake: "Hey, what's for dinner? Peanut butter sandwiches?"
Quinn: "That's Daria. She smells like peanuts from her stupid job."
Daria: "I what?" (sniffs) "Oh, God. That explains those squirrels at the bus stop."
-Daria-

Today it's a lovely torii

   Muwahahaha!
Well, I started my club thingy. I made it kind of ambiguous ^_^ I like things better that way. My club idea was inspired by this one time when I was watching Yu Yu Hakusho and Kurama was getting simultaneously threatened and hit on by an opponent (Hahaha, I love anime).
Also, I've posted one of the pictures I took at the tea garden at the bottom of my post. I'll post another one every day until I run out.
Anyway, that's really all I have to say for now, so I guess I'll see ya all later!

   Weird Is As Weird Does...
Have you ever just stopped to look around you and realized that you’re doing something really weird? Like on Sunday night I found myself outside cutting fresh basil under a full moon O.o I mean, my family sometimes doesn’t eat dinner until pretty late, so when my mom looked up from her work in the basement (my parents are self-employed) and realized that it was about 7:30 pm and no one had eaten, she asked me to make spaghetti for us (my specialty). The only problem was, we don’t keep any dried basil in the house since we have it growing by the back porch. And, of course, no tomato sauce is good enough for my spaghetti unless it has plenty of basil. So, that’s how I found myself outside, at night, cutting leaves off plants. Those moments when you realize that you are certifiably weird are always interesting ^_^ Don’t even get me started on the piñata’s at Christmas…

So anyway, I have a question for you all. How do you start a club? I mean, do you just make a picture and slap it up on your site? Or is there more to it than that? Because I want to start a club! I have an idea and everything! Of course, I won’t say anything yet until I get my stuff together, but this club idea is something I’ve had for a long time and now I finally have a place to start from. So I need advice! Any tips or information you guys have would be very helpful. Welp, I’m off to go read up on stuff for my essay (I went to the tea garden Sunday afternoon and got some good pictures ^_^ maybe I’ll post them when I get the time) Later everyone.

   Scary!
You know, sometimes I creep me out. Like the other day, I was really wishing that I had a pair of roller skates so I could practice, since I haven't skated since middle school - early high school. I found myself thinking about asking my sister if she still had her old skates lying around. Then, later that day, I stumble across a pair of random roller skates sitting in the front hall. It turns out that my sister wanted to get rid of them and she had given them to my mom to sell/donate/save/whatever. So now I have my own skates. This wouldn't be too weird, if it wasn't for the fact that stuff like this happens to me all the time. Like right after I first started to wonder what Naruto was all about, I found out that it was going to be on Toonami. When I was thinking about what subject to do my History of Non-Western Art essay on (I really didn't want to have to go all the way into Chicago), my instructor just randomly holds up a newspaper and tells us about this Japanese tea garden I've never even heard of before that's about 20 minutes away from my house. And this is only recent stuff. There's also all the times my aunt has come to vist us from out of state whenever I start to miss her, all the times a new anime falls into my lap whenever I start to think about looking for one, the time when I miraculously passed Calc 2 with a C... just lucky stuff like that. I think it's because I'm Irish (partially) ^_^ Hmmm, I wonder if there's a leprechaun hiding around here somewhere... that would be kind of creepy O.o
And in other news, I think I'm going to work on a new wallpaper soon (after I finish those CIS projects, my history essay, and that Yuki drawing! Ahhhh! I need to get off my ass) So yeah, it's probably going to be something sad. That's all I got on it right now ^_^ I work better with sad and depressing then with anything else. Whenever I see or read something like that, I get all kinds of ideas. It's weird. Eh, it's to be expected, since I am a weird one. Anyway, later folks, and I'll keep you updated on my fan art projects.

Many thanks to you who contributed. I’d give you candy or something but, you know, internet. So instead I’ll give you all internet hugs. *hugs for all*

And speaking of crack-like story lines, I just got caught up on the latest manga chapters of Bleach. (I’m a fast reader, especially when I’m really interested in what happens next ^_^) O.O Oh My God. And that’s about all I can say. My usually highly competent and adaptable vocabulary is in shock due to some of the contents. AND I CAN”T TALK ABOUT IT! AGAIN! Girr, sometimes I hate being conscientious. *sigh* Oh well. Have fun folks and I’ll catch you all later.

-Quote of the Day- (I know it’s long, but I copied it so I didn’t have to write it out this time. Muwahahahaha!)
“It is of course well known that careless talk costs lives, but the full scale of the problem is not always appreciated.
For instance, at the very moment that Arthur said, 'I seem to be having tremendous difficulty with my life-style,' a freak wormhole opened up in the fabric of the space-time continuum and carried his words far far back in time across almost infinite reaches of space to a distant Galaxy where strange and warlike beings were poised on the brink of frightful interstellar battle.
The two opposing forces were meeting for the last time.
A dreadful silence fell across the conference table as the commander of the Vl'hurgs, resplendent in his black jeweled battle shorts, gazed levelly at the G'Gugvuntt leader squatting opposite him in a cloud of green sweet-smelling steam, and, with a million sleek and horribly beweaponed star cruisers poised to unleash electric death at a single word of command, challenged the vile creature to take back what it had said about his mother.
The creature stirred in his sickly broiling vapor, and at that very moment the words 'I seem to be having tremendous difficulty with my life-style' drifted across the conference table.
Unfortunately, in the Vl'hurgs tongue this was the most dreadful insult imaginable, and there was nothing for it but to wage terrible war for centuries.
Eventually, of course, after their Galaxy had been decimated over a few thousand years, it was realized that the whole thing had been a ghastly mistake, and so the two opposing battle fleets settled their few remaining differences in order to launch a joint attack on our own Galaxy - now positively identified as the source of the offending remark.
For thousands more years, the mighty ships tore across the empty wastes of space and finally dived screaming onto the first planet they came across - which happened to be the Earth - where due to a terrible miscalculation of scale the entire battle fleet was accidentally swallowed by a small dog.
Those who study the complex interplay of cause and effect in the history of the Universe say that this sort of thing is going on all the time, but that we are powerless to prevent it.
'It's just life,' they say.”
-“The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy”-(may the work of Douglas Adams always be appreciated for what it truly is; pure genius)

   Yay!
Both raavahn and kevmart83 knew the answer to the useless bonus question! Go trivia knowledge! For those who missed the question, I asked who knew the inspiration behind Don Mclean's song "American Pie". The correct answer is the plane crash in February of '59 that killed Buddy Holly, Richie Valens, and The Big Bopper, three prominent artists at the time. Hence, "the day the music died". So sad T_T
Anyway, on to other things. I think I'm going to start an anime-crack list. You know, shows that are just so good they should be evaluated by the FDA. (I like adding the word "crack" to addictive stuff. It's fun. For example, I call Hawaiian Punch "kiddie-crack" due to it's unholy ability to ensnare children and unfortunate college students with it's drug like sweetness)

So, here's the list so far:
Bleach
Full Metal Alchemist
Fruits Basket
Naruto

Now, that's a very short list, severly lacking in titles, mostly due to my relative newness to anime (I've only been really in on things for about a year and a half) and my general brokeness (I don't care if it's not a word, it is now). So I want everyone's input. Yes, it's viewer participation time. What's your anime-crack? Please contribute to the crack-list. If you do, then... well, you really won't get anything out of it, but if you don't, I shall be unhappy *cracks knuckles* So, on that pleasant note, I'm off ladies and gents. Later.

-Quote of the Day-

Seth: Well, they have God on their side, Summer. I’m not gonna beat Jesus."

   Bah!
Damn you "Supernatural"! Why did it have to be mirrors? They already creep me the hell out! (If you have no idea what I'm talking about, let me just say that I watched Supernatural, and this weeks scary of choice was Bloody Mary *shudder*) When I was little, I always thought my reflection would do things on it's own when I wasn't looking. And I was also afraid of seeing reflections of people behind me. Thanks a lot WB. Thank you right to Hell.
And speaking of shows, I miss the O.C. Now, you might be saying, "What the *#$%? Did she go crazy from the mirrors or something, cause last I checked that show was still on." Well, I miss the old O.C. Back when it was new and funny. I laughed my ass off. Sure it was kind of soap opera-y but it had a nice balance and made fun of itself. Now it is all soap opera, and everything's crazy. It makes me sad T_T Oh well. Someday, something new will come along and temporarily fill that entertainment void. *crosses fingers* Anyway peoples, I'm out. That's enough ranting for today ^_^

P.S. Useless bonus points for anyone who knows Don Mclean's insipration for the song "American Pie". Hint: The first verse of the song has the most obvious reference.

-Quote of the Day-
"I don't know why, but I had assumed that Jesse had stayed up there in that creepy shadowland. He hadn't. He had slipped back into this world - the real world - without, apparently, much thought as to what he might be giving up in doing so.
On the other hand, down here he was getting to beat the crap out of the guy who killed him, so maybe he wasn't giving up all that much."
