   "The Day The Music Died..."
I have bunch of songs stuck in my head. Among them are "American Pie" (obviously), "Layla", "I Fought The Law", "Mrs. Robinson", "Fortunate Son", and "Take It Easy". I love older songs. Modern music hasn't really struck a chord with me in a long while. I think Green Day is the exception, but that's about it. Right now I'm listening to "Que Sera Sera" by Doris Day ^_^ There's some Marilyn Monroe around here somewhere too. Gotta love a singer who could cause a scandel with the tone of her voice. And was a size 13-14 O.o It's fun to look at changes in standards. Ouuu, The Lovin' Spoonful! (sorry, the song just changed on the player ^_^) Anyway, now that I'm done taking you all on my trip down memory lane, I'll be off. Later.

-Quote of the Day-
"Yeah, she's really bossy. She'll say, 'Let's go to the ice cream store,' and I'll go 'I don't feel like going.' Five minutes later I look up and I'm like, "Wait, how the hell did I end up in the ice cream shop?'"
-My friend Keebs' boyfriend- (Keebs brought up how she and all her friends, myself included, were bossy, which led to the story ^_^)

   Crash And Burn...
Wow, anime marathons make me so worn out. Especially when you add that with spending time at my dad's house and spending an absurd amount of time hanging with my friend. Pheww! I'm pooped. But it was all good. I went hiking Sunday afternoon in the forest preserve behind my house with my friend Keebs and her boyfriend. What is it about hills that makes a guy pick up a stick and yell out "Braveheart!", cause I'm kind of wondering. But we all had fun, especially when I showed them the abandoned picnic lodge. It used to be the company picnic area for this one local business, but then the forest preserve bought up the land and it just sits there now. It's creepy ^_^ Anyway, I'm off to get some well earned sleep so see ya later.

-Quote of the Day-
Ichigo: "I'm gonna save you even if I have to drag you away. From this point on all your opinions are rejected! Got that, dumbass?!"
Rukia: "What the Hell is that?! You're ignoring all of the rescuee's opinions?! What kind of tyrannical way is that to save someone?!"
Ichigo "Shut up! The one being rescued doesn't get to complain! You just act the part and stand around trembling and say 'Oh, save me!'"
Rukia "'Oh, save me!' my butt! I don't tremble!"
-Bleach- (I've finally caught up! Muwahahaha!)

I Believe That Pushing Your Beliefs On Someone Else Is Wrong, But Making You Adhere To This System Is Me Pushing My Beliefs On You Which... Goes Against My Beliefs? Welcome To My Inner World...
Well, I just got done writing an article review for my Personal Wellness class. Damn, I should have just gotten that class over with my first semester. Anyway, the article I reviewed was on doctors and pharmacists who are against the Pill. Here's a link to the article if you want to see what it's all about. Reading it made me feel all rage-y, mostly because there's really no way of solving the problem without someone being forced to act against their beliefs and/or having their rights threatened.
In other news, I had my own little internal battle at Borders. I'm trying to budget myself, so I only took 14 dollars with me to spend. Low and behold, I find about five things I want to buy (why does everything good always come out when I can't buy it T_T) So I had to choose. I got all the way down to Cliver Barker's "Abarat: Days of Magic, Nights of War" (kick-ass series in every way) and the first volume of the Saiyuki manga. It was a close call. Already read and beloved book vs new and unread manga. Finally I decided that the cover art for Saiyuki was just too good to pass up and I made my choice. So yeah, I got some reading to do this weekend. As well as research for my History of Non-Western Art essay T_T Oh well. I'll live ^_^

The Energizer Bunny Of Anime... I Just Keep Going And Going And Going...
STILL watching Bleach. Up to episode 19. New characters since yesterday's post. Yay! You know, Ishida's pretty cool once he stops being a jack-ass. Oh, I was rolling on the floor laughing at that one. That boy's got a kickin' spirit bow (*squeal* archery!) AND he's the king of Handicrafts. *two thumbs up* And All Hail Kon (or Con, whatever)! The funniest dirty-minded possesed stuffed animal there is! This show just gets better and better.

-Quote of the Day-
"Rukia: Ishida? Why are you here?
Ishida: Just a coincidence. It's nothing for you to worry about. If you must know... I suddenly wanted to go to this 24-hours-a-day seamster shop chain, Sunflower Sewing and was simply walking around this neighborhood in the middle of the night. It's not like I took off because I was concerned when I sensed Death god energy and brought this bag from home just for an excuse to be outside.
Rukia: *to self* I didn't know he was mentally challenged...

Ouu, Just In Time For Halloween...
Well, I started watching Bleach today. It was a pretty random decision too. I just kind of stumbled across the show description and went, "Eh, why not?". I'll tell you why not. Because now I'm all the way up to episode 10 and I'm addicted. I laughed, cryed (not really), nearly fell out of my chair with joy (I exaggerate) and that was only in the first episode (now that part is true).
I shall summarize the basis of the show for anyone who has never heard of it/seen it before. It's about a guy nicknamed Ichigo (*snort* Strawberry, hahahaha... *wipes tear* oh those poor red-heads...) who can see and talk to ghosts. One day, he runs into this strange girl (that no one else can see) named Rukia. She claims to be a Death God (shinigami), someone who sends benign spirits to the afterlife and purifies bad spirits, and tells Ichigo that a bad spirit called a Hollow is going to attack. Low and behold, it does, and it just so happens that this spirit is after Ichigo because he has a high spiritual power (well duh, he sees dead people...) so it wants to eat his soul (ewww... sounds painful). General fighting ensues, Rukia gets seriously injured and in order to save his family, Ichigo lets Rukia stab him with her sword and transfer her powers to him. So now, Ichigo is stuck being a Death God and Rukia has no powers (she meant to give him only half her powers, but he ended up with all. That kind of sucks). So while they wait around for Rukia's powers to return to her on their own, Ichigo has to fill in as a Death God. Hilarity and drama ensue while Ichigo tries to balance school, being a Death God, and having Rukia living in his closet O.O (hey, she's stuck until her powers come back). So yeah. Good stuff. Well, I'm off to go finish the homework I should have been doing when I was watching anime *blush* See ya.

-Quote of the Day-
"Ichigo: Don’t tell me he died even though he’s a Death God?
Rukia: Even Death Gods are not immortal. The form may be different but death is –
Saido Eikichirou (the other Death God): *snoring*
Ichigo: Wait, that bastard’s sleeping... Hey, wake up! That’s confusing!

   Doing My Duty
Alrighty, my new picture is up now ^_^ It's not in color yet, but I'll get around to that part soon. And speaking of fan art, I have an itsy bitsy, tiny favor to ask. Going through my submissions, I've realized that two of my drawings have never EVER been rated or commented on by anyone. They are my two Escaflowne pictures. So if it's not too much trouble, I'm asking someone, everyone, ANYONE, to take a gander while they're over there. Please? I'll love you forever... *puppy eyes* Ok, now that I'm done sucking up, I'll see you all later ^_^

-Quote of the Day-
"Mom was up already, which was weird, because usually she sleeps later than me, and I'm a teenager, I'm supposed to be the one sleeping all the time.
But Mom's been depressed ever since her last boyfriend turned out to be a Republican."
-The Princess Diaries- (I've always thought the books were funny, but don't even get me started on the unholy Disney movies *shudder* Damn you Disney! First The Princess Diaries, then Ella Enchanted! Where will the madness end!!!)

   It's About Damn Time!
Haha, I'm just now getting around to learning how to use HTML *blush* I know, I should have learned a long while ago, but what can I say. I'm a bit lazy. Anyway, Sunday (hey, that's today already T_T) I'm finally going to finish that Yuki drawing I said I was going to do. Another unfinished project for me to work on ^_^ Time to get my ass back on track after these past couple weeks. Well, anyway Sunday evening or Monday my new drawing will be up. It probably won't be in color yet, but something will be there ^_^ Later.

-Quote of the Day-
""The year that Buttercup was born, the most beautiful woman in the world was a French scullery maid named Annette. Annette worked in Paris for the Duke and Duchess de Guiche, and it did not escape the Duke's notice that someone extraordinary was polishing the pewter. The Duke's notice did not escape the notice of the Duchess either, who was not very beautiful and not very rich, but plenty smart. The Duchess set about studying Annette and shortly found her adversary's tragic flaw.
Chocolate.
Armed now, the Duchess set to work. The Palace de Guiche turned into a candy castle. Everywhere you looked, bonbons. There were piles of chocolate-covered mints in the drawing rooms, baskets of chocolate-covered nougats in the parlors.
Annette never had a chance. Inside a season, she went from delicate to whopping, and the Duke never glanced in her direction without sad bewilderment clouding his eyes. (Annette, it might be noted, seemed only cheerier throughout her enlargement. She eventually married the pastry chef and they both ate a lot until old age claimed them. Things, it might be noted, did not fare so cheerily for the Duchess. The Duke, for reasons passing understanding, next became smitten with his very own mother-in-law, which caused the Duchess ulcers, only they didn't have ulcers yet. More precisely, ulcers existed, people had them, but they weren't called 'ulcers.' The medical profession at that time called them 'stomach pains' and felt the best cure was coffee dolloped with brandy twice a day until the pains subsided. The Duchess took her mixture faithfully, watching through the years as her husband and her mother blew kisses at each other behind her back. Not surprisingly, the Duchess's grumpiness became legendary, as Voltaire has so ably chronicled. Except this was before Voltaire.)"
-The opening chapter of "The Princess Bride"- (I didn't think I'd ever say this, but I found the movie to be better than the book. Despite that, the book is still funny too ^_^)

"There's No Place I Can Be Since I Found Serenity..."
Wow, Serentiy kicks some serious booty. I want to say so much about it but I won't. Damn my code of conscienciousness! *jumps up and down in frustration* Gah! There's almost nothing I can say that won't spoil something for somebody. Oh well, guess I'll just have to wait until everyone else sees it *pouts* In other news, I just found out today I'm going to have to stay at my community college for another semester. Bah, and I was so looking forward to being able to say that I got through my basics in a year and a half. Which I will, but even after I get my associates, I'll have to stay because by dad isn't paying regularly to help me go to school like he said he would so my mom and step-dad said we'll have to wait until next fall to borrow the money to send me to NIU. *sigh* Oh well. It won't kill me.

-Serentiy- (Ok, I just had to put that quote in. Gotta love Mal ^_^)

   Why!!! *tear*
I finally finished watching Full Metal Alchemist. And I'm speechless. I tell you, there's a big difference between knowing the outcome and plot twists in a story and understanding them. It was wonderful, mind tingling, all that jazz. When everything was over, I felt like crying. And I don't cry. Ever. (one of the many reasons for my robotic nicknames, actually ^_^) At least it's not over yet. Thank God for feature film sequels! Whooohh! And in other good news, Serenity is in theaters starting today. I know what I'm doing after work this afternoon ^_^

-Quote of the Day-
"Damn it, there are so many people that I have to beat the crap out of that I'll forget who if I don't write myself a note!"
-Full Metal Alchemist- (Haha, Ed really needs some anger management classes or something. Gotta love the angry short people...)

... And Me Without My Shotgun
*sigh* Such hostile people in the world today. I know I just may be a bit too spacey and laid-back for my own good, but come on people... where's the love? Hello? Brotherly love? Are you out there? Hmm, guess not. Oh well. I'll just groove on in my own way then. Unless I can find a way to convince people to get a relaxing hobby or something. *muses* Maybe I could try to convince more people of the de-stressing powers of archery. I tell you, one hour of throwing all your concentration into shooting a small circle with a pointy projectile and you get rid of all of that built-up tension. Hell, I didn't even know I had tension until it was gone. And now that my post has turned into a giant advertisement for archery, I think I'll move on to a different subject. Like why is Full Metal Alchemist so damn addicting! I'm up to episode 44, I already know what happens in the end, plus all the major plot twists, and I still can't stop watching. It's crack for the mind I tell you!! Or it could just be that it's really good. Yeah, that's probably it. I should go now before I end up sounding any more crazy than I do already. I hate being sick, it screws up all the thought processes...

-Sweet Home Alabama- (The only chick-flick I truly like. Gotta love the Southern jokes ^_^)
