Special Day? Nope!

Start: 1:00 AM CST

Another super-short post again, you guys! I don't have much to talk about today, but yesterday, Alex came back home from Pennsylvania! Yay!!!

Oh yeah. It seems like I won't be able to make it to the seventh Harry Potter book premiere. My mom won't drive me, since it's so far, and she says I leave the house too much anyways. So guess what? I have to serenade TEN people at Oni-Con!!! Becky's gonna TORTURE me from now on because she's gonna be lonely and humiliated at the premiere!!!

My mom doesn't want to drive me, not because she doesn't want to, but because she's busy lately.

I've been trying to ask my friends, like Mariah, Karesha, and Sue, but none of them can make it either.

Shoot. No one can give me a ride.

GREAT. Now she's gonna threaten me by putting laxatives in my drink!!! WAH.

Anyways...in other news...

Yesterday, I went biking around the woods around my house to find wood to make a Harry Potter wand, but all the wood I found was either too strong (I couldn't break it off the tree!), or too weak (ants had chewed it up). People kept looking at me weirdly, because I was on the side of the road, picking at pieces of wood. Heh. Someone even tried to throw a bottle at me!

Oh yeah! I also found a dead dog by the side of the road!!! EW!!! Its head and two front legs were missing! It was also skinned!!! EW EW EW!!! I'm assuming that a human did that. Evil people.

Oh yeah. I'm almost done with Lord of the Flies! Just two more chapters, and I'm done with my summer reading!!!

Bye you guys!

Agh, Pain! Bad Luck!!

<bgsound src="http://prophecymoon.tripod.com/cab.mp3" volume=100 loop=1 autostart=false>

Start: 12:21 AM CST

Hello children of MyOtaku! My life...has been so...weird lately. I'll tell you about it, okay?

Today, I woke up around 2 PM, over-hearing my mom and brother talk about court. You see, they got into a car accident a month ago, and the person who hit them hasn't called back from their insurance agency. Also, my brother has been experiencing back pain. So my mom has decided to take them to court!

What did I do today... Oh! I'm planning to go to the HP7 book premiere, but I don't have a ride. Secondly, I doubt my mom will let me go. But, if I don't go, Becky will torture me! (She said if I don't go, she'll make me sing to people at Oni-Con!!! NOOOOOO!!!!!!!!)

So far, I'm halfway finished with my staff. Now to make a broomstick and a wand. Only four (or three?) more days!!!

Where'd I get the wood from? Remember last time, when I told you guys that my dad had planted pine trees in clay? Well, I kept the trunk of one of the earlier trees, and since it was a young tree, it was pretty thin! I'm currently trying to remove all the bark!

However, the bark has a pretty red/orange/pink/brown color. It probably got that color from soaking up all the clay dirt...

Now for Sunday!

I went to church, and went home directly afterwards. I really needed to pick up some ingredients to make butterbeer for the HP7 book premiere, but I was too afraid to ask my mom. Wah.

I decided to bike to Sue's house to get a shirt, but she told me she felt sorry because I'm biking all that way just to pick up a shirt.

Well, you guys. Remember how Friday was Friday the 13th? My bad luck didn't come until Sunday the 15th. Blah.

Biking towards Sue's house, I almost ran into a pole! I thought that was the worst part, until I biked over some glass (from a broken beer bottle) and it basically shredded my wheel! ARGH... Still, I continued to bike (and walk) along to Sue's house...with a flat tire. It hurt!!!

When I got to Sue's house, Sue handed me the joke shirt. It was a little's girl shirt, and it said, "Hooray for Independence Day!" with Thumper (from "Bambi") on the front with pink text. Wow. Zach also got the same thing!

I couldn't watch dramas with Sue since her parents were fighting again (I heard from Nickkie that they might get a divorce!), so I biked over to Janice's house to get a bike pump.

She wasn't home.

By this time, I was tired. I was in pain. And there was a cop car that kept stopping to look at me. (What do I look like?! A thief?!) The sun started to break through the clouds, and I thought it would be a good day.

Too bad I was wrong. Black clouds started coming in.

I called Nickkie to see if she could bring me a bike pump. She came a few minutes later, with Vy and Huy, with no bikes. (Why'd they walk?!)

I was a bit hungry, but Vy pigged out on all the beef jerky. (Grr!)

I also found out that the pump didn't work, since my earlier assumptions were correct: the glass made a hole in the tire.

So...we all walked to Nickkie's house, where we drew...and Huy played with Nickkie's parakeet. It started to rain, but Vy went home after the rain ended.

I headed home after that, but when Nickkie and me looked up into the sky, guess what we saw?! FOUR RAINBOWS. Yes, you heard me! Not one, not two, but FOUR!!! Wow, it was so cool! There was a giant rainbow, really bright, then another rainbow, about equal size, only a bit fainter. Then there were two more rainbows under the really bright one, but really smaller and fainter.

WOW... Four rainbows. Too bad none of us had a camera!

I thought that seeing four rainbows at once would be a good luck charm... However, my bike home was still equally as painful as before.

Forget Saturday... I forgot what I did anyways.

Friday! Now that was fun!

Around 2 PM, Risa came to pick me up to watch the new Harry Potter movie, Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix! I saw Taylor, and we later picked up Mohit, where we started talking about computers.

I learned one thing: DO NOT mention "Internet Explorer" to Mohit and Taylor. (Deep, deep hate for a program scares me.)

We all got to theatre (with Risa screaming, "I didn't kill us all!!!") and later met up with Kim, and two people I never met before: Long and Dez.

The movie was really great! I wish that there were more details in the movie. The people in the audience weren't as enthusiastic as I wanted them to be. No one clapped. (Some people did scream at the theatre at times!) They just watched the movie and left.

After that, we headed to Fuddrucker's (hamburgers!), where we ate like pigs (I know I did!) and took crazy pictures. In fact, I'll show you a few!

That's me drinking!

That looks good. *smiles*

(Edit: Ugh, the pictures kind of ruin my theme...)

Anyways, yup! After that, we headed to Risa's house, where we watched the fourth Harry Potter movie! (It just so happened to be on when we stepped into the house!)

We had cupcakes and brownies and ice cream...and... Oh my gosh, it's just a fat boy's dream! (Too bad I'm not a fat boy!)

We then watched the second movie of Zorro, but around that time, it was 11 PM, so Kim drove all of us home!

Ah, that was great.

So... My Friday the 13th wasn't that bad, but my Sunday sucked. Hehe. Friday the 13th actually used to be a lucky day too. I wonder how it got changed...

Anyways. I'm going now. Good night everyone!

Alex Is Gone...For Ten Days!

<bgsound src="http://prophecymoon.tripod.com/cab.mp3" volume=100 loop=1 autostart=false>
Enya
Caribbean Blue

Start: 9:10 PM CST

This'll probably be the shortest post I've made in a while.

Alex left for Pennsylvania at 4 in the morning yesterday. She'll be gone for ten days... Not to fear though! She said she'll bring me back a souvenir! yay!

Yesterday, also, my parents went down to P.A. for the whole day, and when they came back, they bought pig hearts, pig lungs, and other variety of pig organs for dinner. Yum. (It's sarcasm!)

Also, when I barely woke up, I went to go take down the Tanabata wishes. I really think I should burn them, but they're so precious... Should I really burn them??? The wishes shouldn't remain with me anyways, but...ARGH! This is so frustrating!

I'll think about what to do with them later.

Today, though, my mom went to the clinic to get a checkup. My mom's about to get surgery soon, because, well, she needs to get something removed. I'm not sure though.

Can I ask you guys a favor? Will you pray for her??? Thank you!!!

I heated up some shark's fin soup from a few days ago and ate that.

That's about it.

Oh!!! I'm going to the movies tomorrow with Risa and her group to watch the new Harry Potter movie! It's gonna be so cool! There are many other reasons why we're going too, but I can't tell.

That reminds me. I need to return Janice's hole puncher and stop by Sue's house early Saturday to pick up a free T-shirt. She's been giving them away, but I'm not sure why. Huh.

That's it. See? I told you it would be short! Bye bye all!

Edit: My dad bought two new palm trees for our house today! I bet they're just going to die after a few months. I mean, like I said in SomeGuy's website (in different words), "You don't plant a palm tree in clay dirt! Yes you guys. You heard me. My dad planted our old tree in CLAY. Ugh, no wonder it died!!!

They keep on dying and dying, and he doesn't even bother changing the soil. Grr...

Another Edit: I'm halfway done reading Lord of the Flies!!!

   Burning of the Tanabata

<bgsound src="http://prophecymoon.tripod.com/cab.mp3" volume=100 loop=1 autostart=false>
Enya
Caribbean Blue

Start: 12:19 AM CST

Good very early morning! I don't even know WHY I'm up this late. Well...I usually am. So yah. (laughs)

Well...I did nothing today. I woke up around 1 in the afternoon, and oh yeah! I finally finished reading A Separate Peace... I don't know why people think it's such a homoerotic story. It's not! Plus, if it were, would the district make us read it for summer reading?!

Next is Lord of the Flies...

Oh yes. Remember those Tanabata wishes I gathered? Well, my mom took them off the bamboo tree a few days ago, and I replaced them on one of the oak trees that's in my front yard. Tomorrow morning, I'm taking them and burning them. That is, if they didn't fall off already.

Yesterday...what did I do? Oh yeah! I didn't go to the soccer game with Nam because it rained, and it got rescheduled to July...23rd, I think. Still, I can't make that date.

Ashley also called me! A bunch of our friends are meeting at Atsui-Con next month! The thing is, I'm short on money, and plus, I think Atsui-Con will suck (I'm going to Oni-Con in October!), so I won't bother going there...

...Still, I REALLY want to hang out with my friends!!!

Becky finished my scarf. Yay! It's white, it goes ALL the way to the floor when I wrap it around my neck, and I have to pay Becky for it when school starts!

...or...I could be cheap and weasel out of the money-paying. But no, she needs the money. (sighs)

Dad also made me balance his checkbook. Grr.

Sunday, I went to church, and I saw Thi there! We met her after church, at the choir area, and I found out Thi plays flute there! She also says I should play guitar for the choir, but...eh. I'm still so novice-like.

After that, we went to go eat at Tan Binh Pho House. My dad got really pissy, because we didn't want to go eat at the church. Blah!

My dad called me a slut for leaving my shirt unbuttoned and open (I had a T-shirt underneath!), and he made me button it up. It's so common in the U.S. that I don't know why he would think it's slutty!

Also, all the Vietnamese people eating were busy watching Paris by Night... What the heck is with Vietnamese and that show?!

After that, my dad went to go visit one of his old friends that I haven't seen in three years. His English was so bad...! I remember his asking, "What grade you got, boy?" when he meant to say, "What grade are you in, boy?" Those two sentences are VERY different.

It wasn't the fact about the man's English that got me bothered: it was my dad. He always acts SO NICE when he's with other people, but when he's with his family, he's pissed as heck. For example, earlier at the restaurant, he knocked over my bowl of pho, and it got all over my shirt, and he didn't say ONE THING. Grr.

He also tends to blink a lot when he's either lying or being fake-nice.

(sighs) But, I guess I got to deal with that. Ugh...he's so rude nowadays. He acts like he's the king of the house, and if he makes us eat shit, then we have to eat shit. I don't know what's wrong with him!

His Vietnamese friends (men) have brainwashed him. Definitely. Also, growing up, he didn't have a father, so that might add something to it.

Anyways, I don't know why I got myself all angry over him. Let's stop talking about it.

Oh yeah! I recently got in touch with Nami-chan again! It's very nice talking to her, but I confused her a bit on what a mobius strip was. (laughs)

I'm heading to sleep now. Bye!

Tanabata: The Colorful Wishes

<bgsound src="http://prophecymoon.tripod.com/cab.mp3" volume=100 loop=1 autostart=false>
Enya
Caribbean Blue

Start: 12:25 PM CST

Hello to all you guys! Like I said yesterday, Happy Tanabata! What's Tanabata? Well, if you didn't visit my page yesterday, then go and read up the explanation! The Archives might be messed up though...

Edit: Here's a link to it...

http://www.myotaku.com/users/miasmamoon/posts/1162435

I woke up around noon today, and I decided to go with Alex to do my Tanabata thingy! You see, I wanted to take my mom's bamboo tree and turn it into a Tanabata Tree! But then, I wanted to get my friend's wishes as well, so I decided to go on a journey to get my friend's wishes!

First, I took some old construction paper and cut them out into strips. I didn't have many colors: only yellow, green, and orange. Then, after that, I asked my mom to write some wishes on her tree. She wrote SEVEN!!! They were more like regular things, such as "good luck" or "children obeying their parents" and stuff like that.

Alex was at the store and she found a bamboo tree, but it didn't have many leaves...

So off I went, to Alex's house! I would get there earlier than when she got home, you see. I dug around the neighborhood's forest, and I could NOT find one plant that could take the place of bamboo. However, I did find secret tunnels that I could use to get into the forest part of my neighborhood. It's really cool, actually!

I got to the school and continued on waiting for Alex (I found a small palm branch on the way there!), but no luck. There was a guy jogging, probably for training for track or a sport, and that's all I saw who passed. The clouds started to get really dark, so I decided to bike to Janice's house: that's where I saw Alex! I told her to bike back, get the palm tree leaf that I left at the school, and head back at Janice's.

Now, I didn't expect Janice to come out of her house when I pulled up to her driveway! But anyways: I told her the story of the Tanabata, asked her to write her wish, and then I sang the traditional Tanabata song. It got REALLY windy, and all the leaves started kicking up, and my bike fell to the ground!!!

Janice went inside to get a hole puncher so I could punch holes into my strips of paper. Her mom came out, and I told her the story of the Tanabata too.

After that, we headed over to Sue's house, and I told her the story of the Tanabata: however, Sue finished the story before I did. Well, Sue does know it...hmm.

She had a hard time on what she wanted to wish for, and then...the rain started to pour like crazy! I told him that it was the lover's tears, and they accused me of being crazy! Hehe.

I made more strips, however, this time, it was made of computer paper. Alex and me waited and waited, but the rain didn't seem to let on.

Alex and Sue started going through other people's wishes, and they found my mom's wishes: a bunch of colored strips of paper with four syllabic sayings written on each of them.

Then, the most AMAZINGEST (not a word!) thing happened!!! Sue went upstairs, and then later emerged downstairs, holding something. What was it? Golly gee, it was her Chinese book!

Oh my gosh, it was so shocking! She took a strip of paper and started writing Chinese on it! Oh my gosh, oh my gosh! It was so exciting! I know, I know, it seems so crazy, but here, I'll tell you why:

When Sue was younger, she lived in Nebraska, and she told me she was constantly being made fun of her Chinese culture. As she grew up, she began to reject her culture to the point where she didn't even speak the language. She still doesn't know the language, but if you try to ask her something about her Chinese culture, she would try to beat you up.

To see her do something Chinese on her own will... It's so amazing.

Well, the rain sort of let up, so me and Alex decided to bike to Awi's house! Yes, you heard me! We biked in the rain! We didn't remember where Awi's house was, so we biked a bit farther to Nam's house. (We almost got lost!)

At Nam's house, we rang the doorbell, but no one picked up. So I pulled out my cell phone and called. He didn't answer, but he opened up the door.

I told him about the story of Tanabata (in a sort of rush) and asked him to write his wish. He did it, and then we talked and talked. He hadn't left his house in a week! Gosh, that's so creepy! He's a very...unsocialistic boy.

He then asked me if I wanted to go to a soccer game with him: he has extra tickets to go with his dad, but his sister doesn't like soccer. So he asked me. I decided right there, and said, "Uhh...sure." Really, I know nothing about soccer, but it might be fun, ya know?

Oh yeah! He also offered to bike with us to our other friends' houses!

We headed to Nickkie: not there.

Vy was home! She just got back from Colorado today, and I told her about Tanabata. She told me in Vietnam that it was called Nu Lan Chang Quyen, I think. (I can't remember the last two words, so I made those up!!!) She wrote her wish in Vietnamese so that I wouldn't understand, so...okay.

We left soon afterwards: it was almost sunset! We all quickly biked to Melinda's house, where I just told her to write a wish (without really explaining the story), and she couldn't really decide! She was being sarcastic at first, and yah... But she finally decided. Nam, on the other hand, was messing stuff up. Grrs. (He slipped on their door mat, and grabbed the door knob, making a loud noise.)

Well, we all parted ways after that. I, decided to take a shortcut home until I realized that I was taking the LONG ROUTE home! Oh gosh...

My dad came home today! Yay! He seemed tired, but I gave him a kiss, and I asked him to kiss me back, and you know what he said?! "How much money do you want...?" I can't believe it! I can't hug him without getting money in return?!

I stringed up my friends' wishes up to my mom's bamboo tree. Then, I lit two candles, brought the tree and candles outside, and started to sing the song.

I saw the tree and I realized when I started singing the song, the wishes started spinning like crazy! However, there was really NO wind! Wow, so cool! I kept singing the traditional Tanabata card, and some of the cards started falling off. (Funny thing was: there was no strong wind.)

Awi called me in the middle of the ritual! Bah! I had called her earlier to ask where she lived, but she said that earlier, she was at a family gathering. Ooh.

I felt so very pagan when I was doing the entire ritual. I don't know, it felt so out of my religion, and yet, it was so fun to do at the same time!

I prayed (wow, I'm mixing Shinto, Buddhist and Christian beliefs!), and then I blew out the candles, brought them in, and left the tree outside.

My mom, however, brought the tree in because she was afraid her glass vase (which the bamboo tree was in) was going to break. Eh.

I noticed that only three cards fell off.

I think it's the cards that fall off that happen...I think.

Well, out of curiosity, I read some of the wishes! (I shouldn't have done that!)

Some were normal, some were funny, some were a bit crazy, and there was one that was just a bit mean. I won't tell you any more about it though.

Then there was one that captured me: "I wish for world peace." Aww...that's so nice. Truthfully though, I don't think that's coming up any time soon.

After that, I called Alex, talked to her about the Tanabata ritual, and then I went to go shower, where Nam called me in the middle of the shower, probably to call about the soccer match. No matter, I didn't pick up.

I called him back later, and he didn't pick up. Grr.

Well, I hope all of you have a Happy Tanabata! Remember guys, love is a wonderful thing, but if you let it consume you, then you will end up one of the saddest people on earth.

May all of your wishes come true!!!

Good night all!

   Happy Tanabata!!!

<bgsound src="http://prophecymoon.tripod.com/cab.mp3" volume=100 loop=1 autostart=false>

Caribbean Blue

Start: 11:32 PM CST

Hi guys! Sorry I didn't post yesterday like I should've. I guess I got too excited in making on Gaia! Puahahas, so let's get on, shall we?

Today, I did nothing. I woke up around...12:35 noon, and did...well, nothing. I hung out in my sister's room, and it started to pour rain like crazy. I basically stayed there until...4 or 5 PM, and I went back to my room.

I also watched The Adventures of Billy and Mandy: Wrath of the Spider Queen! I loved it! It's so funny! Ya know, growing up, you think you would outgrow cartoons and such, but you never do! I hope I stay like this!

That's about it...

Now...what did I do yesterday?

I went to church at 7 PM for a JAM (Jesus and Me) prayer and worship for Vietnamese adults! Entering the church, I saw Nickkie and her mom! I sat by myself in the chapel, since my mom made me angry in the van and I snapped my rosary in half. I don't know why, but my mom has this habit of screaming at us for no reason right before church, and when I enter church, I end up being angry. Now that's not very good, right?

Well, I did prayer and worship all by myself. After the JAM, I walked out of the chapel and into the dark church, where I group of people praying to the tabernacle. To my surprise, it was my old Confirmation buddies! Matthew, Viet, Julie, Trang, Jonathan (both the teacher AND the student), both Jennifers, and Quang! I ended up talking to Quang about my sister seeing him at the eye doctor's place (turns out he was getting a blood check), and it ended up talking about training to become a TA (teacher assistant) at church!

Nickkie went home without me, but I talked with Anne: she works at City Pets now, a pet fish store. I told her that I would visit, but what's the use of buying fish if I couldn't eat them? (It was a joke, don't worry!)

I waved bye to all my church buddies, and we left, after my mom finished talking with Julie.

We bought Church's (coincidence!) chicken and we ate at home. Before church, I told Mom that she should stop cursing and she continued yelling at me. Now, after eating, she said that after she married "my father", she picked up the habit of cursing and that, whenever he cursed at her, she would curse back too. I told her that that was NO reason to curse, and that she should stop her habit. And so we promised. No one in the house curses anymore. Yay! She told me not to curse anymore too. I just scoffed, and told her that I hadn't cursed in more than three years, except the little slippings of when I'm angry.

Oh...my...gosh! Guess who AIMed me when I got on the computer?!?! It was Becky Sue, my lovely Majin Badeek! Oh, she was back from China, and I was so happy!!! She began telling me all about her journey to China, how she watched Chinese anime, but couldn't understand a lot of it, and she even stopped by in Japan for a day before heading to China!

She was at Narita Airport, and Becky and her mom decided to take the JR (Japan Railroad), but they got so lost!!! Becky said that she mainly only saw businessmen on the railroad, and she saw a white girl there who was speaking English, but she looked all slutty and stared at Becky as if she were a dragon. Becky just scooted away, heh.

I missed Becky so much! She had been gone for about a month, and it was really lonely at two in the morning, with no one to give you intellectual stimulation and talks. Ahh...I miss her so.

She never did make that scarf for me! She said that I never decided if I wanted my scarf to be single or a tube! I told her that I didn't mind either, but she just replied, "Well, you should've told me that!"

Oh oh, another thing: Becky wanted to go to the Tanabata Festival in the Shizuoka district of Tokyo, but since she got lost, she never managed to make it there. It's sad though. She said the festival dates were July 3-7. Aww.

What is Tanabata, you ask? Well, Tanabata is the Japanese (traditionally from China), where there was an angel/princess, Orihime, that would weave beautiful patterns in the sky. She would weave each sunrise, each summer sky, and each sunset. Well, she was lonely in Heaven, so she decided to descend onto Earth. There, she met a simple cowherd, Kengyu, and they fell in love and married.

However, after they married, they begin to neglect their work. The cows would just start running around everywhere, and the angel wouldn't weave the beautiful patterns in the sky like she used to.

Well, the King finally realized that in order for balance in the world to remain, he would have to separate them. He went to Earth, and told his daughter to leave to come back to Heaven.

The daughter, however, did not want to leave her husband behind. The couple were crying and begin to embrace each other. The father, the King, however, felt sympathy for them, and he said that every year, on the seventh moon of the seven day, a bridge of fireflies will appear, linking Heaven and Earth together, causing the lovers to reunite once again. But only once every year.

It's quite a beautiful love story, and to tell you the truth, I made up a lot of that right now! Well, I didn't make it up, but I skipped a lot of parts. It's been years since I've celebrated Tanabata.

Also, cool fact: The anime Ayashi No Ceres is based off the Tanabata Festival. Did you know that? It's also based off the Tanabata love story, but of a different branch.

When I mean branch, I mean... Do you know when a story is passed down through different generations, it's often changed very little? And then, the story changes and changes and changes until their plots become very different. But at the root of it, they are the same story.

Well, if you guys want to celebrate Tanabata, here's a cool tip:

Take some colored construction paper and write your wishes on it. Then fold them in half, make a hole through each of the pieces of papers. Take the branch of a leafy bamboo tree and and tie the paper with red string to the branch, and ta-da! You've got yourself a Tanabata Tree!

They say that if you tie your wishes to a Tanabata Tree, then your wishes will come true!

Now let's sing!!!

Oh, Tanabata Tree,
Oh, Tanabata Tree,
Your leafs are mighty lovely.
Oh, Tanabata Tree,
Oh, Tanabata Tree,
My wishes you will grant me.

Like it? I just made it up at the moment. Hehe.

Well, enough fooling around! I'm going to sleep! Happy Tanabata Day you guys!!!

   Happy Fouth of July!

<bgsound src="http://prophecymoon.tripod.com/cab.mp3" volume=100 loop=1 autostart=false>
Enya
Caribbean Blue

Start: 2:11 AM CST

Hi guys! To all you Americans out there, Happy Fourth of July! Today, we desecrated a flag by burning it! (Very unpatriotic, I might say.) Urr...read on to learn more!

In the morning, I woke up to bake brownies and make lemonade. I have to say, making brownies wasn't messy at all today! Lemonade, however, got sugar and water everywhere. Oy.

My family had hot pot for lunch today! That's when you take a machine, cook some soup inside the machine, and just serve it like that while it's on the table! (Pssh, I'm sure most of you know what hot pot is!) Shrimp, squid, tofu, tomatoes, okra... Oh my gosh, it was so spicy! And sooo good! Shoot. Now I want more hot pot.

After that, I headed over to Kathy's house...around 2 PM. They were already shooting fireworks, and I only did a few. We swept up the remains of the fireworks with brooms, and we went in to wash our hands and such.

Everyone came in to eat my brownies and lemonade! People liked the lemonade (although Melinda claimed that it tasted like water with just a HINT of taste), but no one really liked my brownies. They were hard as a ROCK. Zach kept hitting one of the brownies on the table, and it made this shaking noise, like hitting a rock on glass. (It just got a bit burned!!!) One batch was chocolate, and it was hard. The other one was caramel/chocolate (I accidentally caramalized the sugar while making the brownies!), and it was softer and more chewy.

We just sat around for a while, listening to some music (my mixed CD, yeah!), and then we went upstairs, where most of us sat in Kathy's room, looking up new Pokémon.

Pokémon Diamond & Pearl makes everything so complicated! There's like, Shiny Pokémon, Dark Pokémon, Ghostly Pokémon, Metallic Pokémon...what else?

What ever happened to the times when there were just regular Pokémon to catch? Now there are all these different varities... Ugh.

Oh, Janice wants a Dark Flame Rapidash. Sounds cool, but I have no idea what it is. (See? What ever happened to the time of regular Rapidash?!?!)

After that, we went to go eat food! Oh yeah!!! Sobia came, but Chi left! Before Sobia had come, Nickkie had lied to the group and said that Sobia had gotten an arranged marriage in Pakistan! (She was in Pakistan for the summer...) Everyone believed her! Wahaha! Oh, Aaron came too!

We all ate hamburgers, salad, meatballs, etc. Mmm, I loves me some meatballs. Sue was being made fun of because she ate her hamburger with a fork and knife!

Urrr... Zach was my queen, and I was his king. (It was a long table, and we were sitting opposite ends.) Also, Aaron was drinking out of my cup, and everyone started screaming, "OH MY GOSH! INDIRECT KISS!!!" Sue added, "I can't believe you stole their first kiss!!!" Aaron and Kathy were boyfriend/girlfriend, you see. He continued on drinking from the same cup. I feel honored... (bursts out laughing)

Zach also liked to act gay a lot around today too...

Sobia had to pass out gifts she got for us in Pakistan! Janice got these neat bracelets that have chains that connect to a ring. So cool! I, on the other hand, got two deputas, Muslim (and Indian) veils that people either wear around their head or around their neck like a scarf. Sobia said they were damaged a bit, and the ones she got were for women, but I still loved them so much! (I even went crazy and tried them on!)

Oh yeah! She gave all of us these little money-carrying jars! And she wrapped them all in newspaper! And on my newspaper, there was ads in Arabic (and English!) for job listings! (Oh my gosh!!! ARABIC!)

No wait. Now that I think about it, it's Urdu. Urdu just happens to use the same writing as Arabic. My bad!

After that, we went to go watch Shinobi, kind of like a Japanese version of Romeo and Juliet. Oh my gosh. It was so sad... (Alex, Whitney, and Huy were wandering around, pretending to be mimes!) But quickly, right after the movie finished, we were rushed out of the house to play with fireworks!

"Wah wah wah!" The scream of fireworks whistled through the foggy night air. We shot so many different kinds of fireworks, and even Janice's parents were there to watch too! So fun, so fun. Flowers, sparklers, rockets; they were all so cool to watch! After that, we swept up all the rocket remains (gotta keep the neighborhood clean!), and we had some cake! We started a bonfire with the leftover cardboard, napkins from our cake, and newspaper! Oy oy oy. Now we had more stuff to clean.

Oh, about the "burning-the-flag" thing. When we were burning the napkins, the napkins had pictures of the American flag on them. Ooh, we were burning pictures of flags! Janice's mom exclaimed, "That's unpatriotic!" And I also found out from Sue that burning newspaper was illegal.

So we just broke two rules. Oh, we are bad people!!!

About then, that's when everyone started to go home. I had to stay for a while though; my mom got lost on the way there, and she gave up and drove home. It was Zach that drove me home in the end.

After I got home, my mom told me that the rings that Sobia gave me looked like a girl's! (They were, but they were cool!) She said, "What if she put a curse on them?!" Then she later told me she lied about that so I wouldn't wear them. Grr, my friend wouldn't put a curse on rings for her friends!

So here I am. I'm tired, and it's about time to go to sleep.

Oh yeah. Yesterday (or technically, two days ago; July 3rd), I went to go see Ratatouille with Thi and Linh!!! Yay!!! It was so cool! "I once killed a man with this thumb!" That's my favorite line from the movie!

Bahaha... Linh thought I lived on a farm!!! (Well, my house IS near farm area...)

Oh yeah. People kept staring at me in the theatre. I wonder why...

I got home around 4 or 5 PM from the movies, and at 7 PM, my mom drove me to Barnes and Nobles to buy two books for summer reading: A Separate Peace and Lord of the Flies. I also bumped into Andy there! He was getting books for his summer reading too.

A day before that, I went biking with Alex around 3 or 4 PM! We biked all the way to a fireworks shop near Alex's house, where I bought $17 worth of sparklers! There were two old men, plus a lady that was working there. One old men kept saying in Vietnamese, "I can't believe they're wasting their money on these stupid things!" and when the woman was trying to put my fireworks in a bag, he replied, "Why don't you just throw them in the trash?" Wow, Vietnamese people are mean. I don't think he realized I could understand him, even though I was talking Vietnamese to the woman who was selling us the fireworks.

Alex stopped by a gas station right next to the fireworks place, bought some lighters (I wonder if they were suspicious that a teenager bought lighters) and some cheap candy, and we biked back to Alex's house, where she jumped through her bedroom window, put her fireworks in her room, and got out. I swore it looked so crazy. She was crawling in, the blinds were covering her up, and you could see her butt. How suspicious is that? (laughs)

We biked to Sue's house afterwards, so I could drop them off there. We were so thirsty!!! Oh boy. No one was home! So guess what? Me and Alex wrote "WE (heart) U SUE" with fallen flowers from her neighbor's tree. We were gonna get away with it too, but her dad pulled up in the driveway. Shoot. He knows now. He said that Sue was at Janice's house, and so, we headed there.

It was crazy. I pretended to be a samurai in front of Janice, holding my giant fireworks sparklers as if they were a giant sword. She served us some castellas and water! We looked through all the fireworks that they bought, and guess what I found out? The shop where Alex and me bought the fireworks was Sue's aunt's shop! Oh my gosh, I could've gotten a discount! I mean, $17 for 30 sparklers?! I could've bought food with that!!!

Oh yeah. Janice had a crazy idea that her house was gonna blow up from all those fireworks. Hehe.

After that, me and Alex headed home.

(Conclusion time!)

So yeah. That's been my past three days. I wish I could remember more, but I'm too lazy. And I never did finish writing the rest of my year, eh?

I have twelve weeks to cover. Prepare for hell, my readers.

I'm going to sleep. Good night!

P.S. I drew my final stage of Jynx! I'm inventing some Pokémon evolutions right now because Melinda inspired me to do so at Kathy's house! Oh yeah. Tangela's evolution is ugly.

Hiya guys! How's it going? Sorry for posting so late! It's almost time for sleep, blah.

Sorry for leaving you guys (SG and Enin) yesterday without saying good-bye! My mom caught me at 1 in the morning with my laptop...in my room...with the lights off...typing. Yes...awkward. She took my laptop away me from. Wah.

Today wasn't such a productive day. I was planning to bike with Alex around the neighborhood, but the weather forecast said it would rain today. It didn't rain! Sure, there were dark clouds, but no rain. Dammit.

So what did I do today? Oh my gosh, I decided to get back into drawing! Today, I spent two hours on a single drawing! That's like, an all-time record for me! I mean, I used to draw like that when I was little (even more hours than that, actually!), but as time went on, I gave up on it.

Two years, I come back to it, and I have the most awesomest thing to draw ever! I might scan it up later to show you all, eh?

But I stopped working on it. I was drawing like crazy, locked up in my room, ALMOST FINISHED, when I go to my sister and asked her what she thought of it. She said she didn't like it.

Well, that just dashed my hopes! I stopped drawing after that. I don't know why, but criticism makes me stop drawing. (I gotta stop asking people what they think of my drawings.)

What else did I do... I wrote a song on guitar! It's so pretty, and has a really nice summer theme to it too.

That's all I did today. It wasn't much, but I tell ya, I was artisticfully (?!) active today! I'm happy now.

Now to go draw like crazy. Bye!

Oh yeah! My mom also fixed my rosary! It broke a few days ago, but it's...sort-of okay right now. It's crooked. I need to take it to a real jewelry place and get them to fix it. Blah.

Korean Food and Chiropractors!

Start: 6:46 PM CST

Alors todos! Boy, I've got much to tell ya!

Hmmm...the day started off with yelling... My mom had screamed at me to get up for my chiropractor appointment, but also because my mom was pissed about my dad's friends.

Now...why did I have to go to the chiropractor? Well, a Friday on one of the middle weeks of April, I went ice skating with my friends (Alessandra, Nickkie, Melinda, etc.) who were meeting up with the Travis badminton team, and I met up with some of my old friends! Sabrina, some of the girls I met at Anime Matsuri...

Hmm. Oh yeah! I saw Raul there! He happened to be staying at First Colony mall for the whole day, since his mom was working there. I met up with him at the mall, and we hugged. I swear I hugged him too much though. There were even a group of girls oggling (oogling?) their eyes at us while we were hugging... Blah.

Well, ice skating. It was my first, skating at all! It took me tons and tons of tries! I fell a lot, but the guy who worked there, plus all the girls there (especially my new friends Tiffany and Sophia!), were really supportive for me! The guy who was working there said that I kept "pretending" to fall so that all the girls would come and flock to me. Hah.

In the end, a bit past 10 PM, I started to skate in, but I fell, my head slammed into the ice, and bounced! I got pulled into the stands. The policewoman gave me ice for my head, and the teacher (the club's supervisor) was there... I changed out of my shoes, and we all went home...

I got home around 11 PM, and my mom was angry, and I told her about the accident. We went to the chiropractor next Monday, and it turned out I had whiplash! Blah!

After a few therapies though, my neck got back to normal.

Well, this time, it was just a check-up. My mom had one too, and while I was waiting, I was reading a Spanish magazine on the brain and how our memories work. I understood...most of it. Hehe.

After that, we went to go eat at Seoul House, a Korean restaurant just across the street! It was my first time eating Korean food, but while we were ordering, I asked the man if he knew Korean in Korean. He smiled, looked at my mom, and asked if she spoke Korean. She was just confused.

I continued to use more of my Korean (thank you Bokju!) while ordering, and I tried to teach my mom "thank you" in Korean (it's "gamsahamnida"), but she kept mispronouncing it.

Really neat place. Food was spicy. I love me some spicy food. Puahahas.

After that, we went shopping at a place called Sun's Club (pssh! the name is CLEARLY ripped off from "Sam's Club"!), an Asian wholesale store. We bought some food (24-pack of Rice Krispies for $8! Yay!!!), while my mom chatted with a random stranger who walked around with us while we were shopping.

Then...we headed home!

I ate some more, then headed up to the computer.

I've been up here since then, talking with SG and Karen (or the Bokju I referred to earlier).

Hmm...I just had to go pour some oil into a bucket with my sister and it kept splashing into our clothes. Well...more like my sister's clothes and arms.

I guess that's it. Shoot, I didn't have free time to tell you. Except about the ice skating incident! That was in April, when I was inactive on this site.

Heh heh, believe me or not, but your old grandpa had a life back when he quit MyOtaku for a while. *nods in agreement*

Why'd I just call myself "grandpa"...?

Anyways, I'm going to go on a junk food crazy thing.

And SG's trying to get Spartan abs, or so he says on MSN. (*bursts out laughing*)

Bye!

Note: Oh yeah! When I asked that man "Do you know Korean?" in Korean, I actually said, "Do you have Korean?" in Korean! Bokju pointed that out. (I confuse my Korean verbs too much!!!)

   Dung and Thai Son's Visit!

<bgsound src="http://prophecymoon.tripod.com/cab.mp3" volume=100 loop=1 autostart=false>

Start: 5:48 PM CST

Hellos all! Thanks for all the welcoming back! I feel so appreciated! (Heck, I was surprised anyone visited!) So thanks Vanessa and Shanny, for being there for me!

Oh well...today was a good day, I guess... Hehe, I woke up early today, around 9 PM, because my mom said Chi Dung and Anh Thai Son were coming! So I quickly got up, got ready, and did some more cleaning.

Note: The thing is, I fell asleep at 4 in the morning, chatting online. Blah... I was tired...!

Well, my mom drove out and led them home, and after a bunch of hugs, I served them fruit (horribly-cut apple slices and grapes!), and we talked about things, such as video games, school, and stuff like that.

RAYMAN!!! BUNNIES! KILL! YES!!!

My mom gave them a tour of the house, but the one thing that bothered me and my siblings was that she kept talking about our drawing!!! (NOOO!!! I don't want to show anyone my drawings!!!!)

It was really funny, them coming to our house for the first time. The first time we ever went out, we went to go eat at a Chinese restaurant, but the air was a bit stiff. No one was talking, especially when they were trying to talk to my sister or brother. It's softened down now. (Phew!)

Oh, did I tell you guys? Chi Dung and Anh Thai Son were my Confirmation teachers! Thai Son was also my sponsor for when I got Confirmed. It's kind of funny; they've been your teachers for a year, and then, they become your friends. Tell you the truth, I never really kept in contact with any of my old teachers, church or school. ESPECIALLY not the ones super-older than me. (Then again...they're only, like, ten years older? They're only 27 and such.)

Well, we went to go eat phőŇ at Hong Kong Mall! My mom did most of the talking. (Thank goodness! I didn't know what to talk about!) I found out that Thai Son's brother is a famous Vietnamese singer! (Pwah! It seems like everyone in Vietnamese entertainment is really to everyone else...)

After eating, we exchanged hugs, and promised that we would see each other again!

Chi Dung and Anh Thai Son were going to go visit their friends, and then after that, I think they were heading back home to Dallas. (Wah...it'll be the last time I'll see them in a long time!)

We headed home afterwards...

...And I headed STRAIGHT to bed. (Why, you ask? Well, I got up at 9 in the morning, and I usually get up at NOON...or 3 PM!)

Hmm...I fell asleep until 3 PM, where I looked outside and it was PITCH WHITE. Rain was pouring SO HARD, that all the raindrops blurred together into one single...thing! Oh yeah. We had a blackout. Shoot, now I gotta reset all the clocks.

Hmm...that's been my day today. Nothing special. Uhh...I made plum jam! (Yeah, awesome, isn't it?)

I've also been pigging out on those Hot Pocket thingys. Blah.

I'll talk to you guys later, okay?

Huh...maybe I should share some stuff on my summer. (Maybe later...when I have nothing to talk about. Hehe.)

Bai bai!
