OMG!

I'm so weird. You'll find out why I say that later.

I hope everyone had a good thanksgiving. I did, except that I did almost all of the cleanup afterwards, and there was a lot of stuff to be hand washed! :(!! However, my niece was here and she made a nice mess with her food and ran around the house for a while.

I have a camera to do filming, but I have no idea what I'm filming! I have this project that has to be uploaded to the Macs by Monday at 8:30, which means if has to be filmed by Sunday evening. I don't even know if I'm filming an event or an interview yet! Maybe I'll do both, just to be safe. But doing one or the other requires a different soundtrack, you know. Which means I have to re-render the credits and everything. Ugh. I'll figure out what I'm doing soon, I hope, else I'm screwed.

And now for why I say that I'm weird. I saw some guy put together a small, quiet PC. That made me interested in it. So now, I have a nifty Excel spreadsheet on my desktop called "ITX compy" that has all the components I want listed and priced. The most expensive thing is the case and motherboard, of course. This computer is based on a motherboard that's 170mm x 170mm (17cm x 17cm) and has an integrated CPU. ( :( ) But the little single-core chip is pretty darn quick, 1GHz. Here's the list of stuffs for it, followed by the total thus far:
  • VIA EPIA-MII10000 MicroITX Motherboard
  • Silverstone LC12 Silver Aluminum Case
  • Panasonic UJ-85J Slim DVD Burner
  • 80GB HDD
  • 17 inch DVI LCD panel
  • Bluetooth/802.11G Radio(MiniPCI)
  • PCI to MiniPCI adapter
  • Slim Drive to IDE adapter board
  • IDE cable
Total Price: $754.93
(Before taxes.)

I know, I want a lot of stuff, eh? And I still want an iMac on top of all that! :O!!

EDIT: Updated list.

   SSSSSSSSHHHHHHH!!!!

I am so not here right now... I'm supposed to be reading some freaking twenty page article on black communists, but I cannot seem to keep my mind on it enough to make any sense out of the words. I'm supposed to know enough to teach the class about it, but I hope my partner did a better job than I did, because I disappointed another time. Big surprise, eh? And guess what class it's in. English. Errg... I'm really starting to hate being "literaturally smart" like I am...

Anywho, besides not working now, I was working on remaking the post styles for here. I made a cool post background, but I can't get the posts to appear in the box like they're supposed to. It just doesn't want to work for me. The DIV that the content goes in just won't stay one size and scroll, it has to overflow and spill all over the page, and the background doesn't want to appear either. Evil photochuckit.

I'm using the mouse that goes with my tablet for no apparent reason...

I had a brighter moment for a while today. I was as happy as I'd been in a long time for a while today. I don't even know why. But that moment was short-lived because I was back to depressed-ish me in next to no time. My, how life is weird.

I guess since I'm not getting anything out of this english assignment, maybe I should print it all out and read it during reading time and see if I can make sense of it then.

Then I have to do my Geometry homework.... Yay. Errg, as I said.

Of course, though, homework will have to wait until after forumization... I just got back into reading this one forum... now I must catch up with the past couple of months. If they ask where I went, I'll have to tell the truth, the real-world was being too demanding and I just plain forgot.

So, I shall do that so I can get to bed at a reasonable hour...

EDIT: I like Lily Allen's "Smile". It's oddly annoying, like me! and iTunes has it for free, so you can't beat that! :) (Note, though, that Singles of the Week do go off free-ness eventually!)

EDIT: Alanis Morissette's "Your House" is an awesome song. The part I have is off the end of my CD. It's an acappella song. I just love Alanis Morissette.

Heh, FireFox thinks that "Morissette" should be "videocassette."

Microsoft Zune.

I don't know about anyone else, but I think Microsoft is stupid to release the Zune. It's nothing but another stupid attempt at an iPod killer. From what I read as well, the software leaves a lot to be desired compared to iTunes. I hear that the Zune software is nowhere near as seamlessly integrated as iTunes is with iPod. But I'll give it a chance. I won't bad-mouth it too much. When I get a job and a chance to buy one, I'll give one a test drive. I'll give it a fair, unbiased chance, though if Microsoft wants to keep me with a Zune device, they might want to make the Zune software for Mac OS, because, yes, when I get about $2,000, I AM buying a MacBook. I don't care what anyone says, I like Macs, so I'm going to buy one.

Speaking of giving products test drives, I'd love to have a lot of money to use just to test products, because there is so much that I may never get to experience because I can't afford it. I hadn't known just how cool iPods were until this year. And people at school tend to ask me what I think about this and that, and I can't ever say anything about what I never used. Whatever.

Back to that Microsoft Zune. The Zune is stupid because it doesn't support the PlaysForSure standard of Microsoft's, forcing you to buy more individual songs for individual prices (like iTunes) rather than all-you-can-stand downloads like you can with some of the other subscription services that support PlaysForSure. Microsoft to me just makes no sense sometimes. Sure, they may have the most used desktop OS, but I'm quickly starting to appreciate Linux/UNIX and Mac OS (Unix based) more than Windows. Microsoft would have to make some big strides in OS technology before Apple releases OS X Leopard is released, else I might not buy a media center PC ever.

Well, I complain too much. I shall go to bed, it's somewhat late here. 11:11 is kinda late, I guess... and ironic, I like that song... 11:11 PM by The All-American Rejects. Awesome song.

Ooh!

I found something hiding in from me in Firefox. If you have a text box, like the one I'm typing this in, it actually has a spell checker built in and checks your spelling as you type! I didn't know that Mozilla threw that into Firefox 2! Granted it doesn't have the best suggestions for everything, it's handy to see the red line saying that you might want to review that word.

Whee! I'm failing english class. I have an F because of the stupid study guides, one worth 74 points, the other worth 81. I already had to dig myself out of a hole with this one essay I forgot to do, worth 100 points. ARGH! I'm going to have a freaking D go on my transcript, if I'm even that lucky! I'm deeply worried about my grade. It's not like the stupid study guides are that needed, they actually remove from my experience in the book. It sucks, you know, because it's not like I failed the test or anything. I hate that class now. It's too study-guide based and I'm just not like that. That's just not how I run. Now I get to wait for my dad to come home so I can be yelled at for failing the class. Yay!

If I don't write something else here within three weeks, assume me dead.

I'm an idiot!

I haven't practiced what little piano I do know since my lesson on thursday. Oops! I did the homework, but my life is a little out of whack as it is, I've been doing this and that since I woke up. I haven't really had time today, because when I got up, we were making breakfast, after breakfast, we had a little bit of downtime, and I went on the computer. Granted not the nice one, but still. Now I'm sitting here, half an hour before bedtime, and I haven't even finished my homework from school! I'm in for some fun tomorrow morning. I have to finish over 50 questions in math, and I don't think that's it.

I need to ditch my "job." I don't get paid enough for it. I went down nearly a dollar from the month before, and when you get paid as little as I do, that's quite a bit. I can't wait till this summer when I can get a different "job" and make more money so I can eventually buy the stuff I want to, such as my Mac and my new PC... (Don't even say anything about the Mac, Kitsune.)

Well, the day I got the money to buy this one graphics card I had been looking for, CompUSA stops selling it! I was so aggrivated! I had just gotten the money to buy the thing, and then it's not there! It was a very nice card for it's price. 128MB RAM, a respectable GPU core speed, two DVI ports, $40. Then I go to buy it, and it's gone. GRRRR! CompUSA, you drive me crazy! (Crazier, I should say.)

Well, I don't know if I wrote this here or not, but I wrote a letter thing to tell people that I am, well, different. More different than I can say comfortably here. Well, I typed an exactly 1000 word letter, and I still haven't given it to anyone. I've gotten to the point where the letter is in my hand, but then I chicken out and put it away again. I don't even know why I'm so afraid to tell anyone this thing. It's not something I should be ashamed of, and I'm not the only person in the world who has this secret. I guess I'm just afraid of the reactions people will have, because if I don't explain it just right, I'm going to confuse people and make people doubt me. And I hate that my ex-girlfriend told one of her friends that I had something to tell her that my other ex hated (or sill hates) me for. This guy she told this to called me and asked if I would tell him. Of course I couldn't, but that call was not one I really wanted to receive. Talking on the phone makes me nervous. Ick.

Well, other than all that, I have been a weirdo as usual. I so want to write something else after the "weird" part of "weirdo" rather than just "o," in fact, another word instead of one letter, but I digress. I got someone interested in my High-low game on my calculator. He wants me to transfer it to his calculator tomorrow. He was intrigued by the choice of number range, 0 - 1 Million. :) I know, I'm so weird. I can get it in about 26 tries sometimes. Unless I screw up, then I end up with countless tries. Whatever.

I noticed that I've still been writing long posts but I haven't been using the "Horizontal Rules..." Why, I don't know, but I haven't.

Well this makes another long post for me. It took me nearly 10 minutes to write all that. Surprising? No, but I wasted some valuable time doing this.... Some time I should have been practicing piano in...

And guess what! "P, Mf, and F!" As well as Half-note, dotted half-note, and quarter note. =P

XD!

We (my sister-in-law, my brother, his friend, my sister, and myself) went to a haunted house. It was awesome! It was most fun at the end because we were talking to some of the people working there, and then a group came out of the exit, and one of the guys we were talking to scared this little kid to death. Then he felt bad and reassured the poor little kid. Then we watched him do the same (minus the reassuring part) to the kid's mom, who was in the next group. It was hilarious. It was the most fun talking to the people inside while they were working. They would ask funny questions, corner you and yell, ect. Like this one girl at the beginning kept yelling "WHY ARE YOU LATE?! YOU WERE SUPPOSED TO BE HERE AN HOUR AGO. THE MASTER WON'T BE HAPPY." And another girl in a bedroom type place would walk up in your path and ask "Would you like to play with Susie? Susie wants to play with you!" meanwhile holding a decapitated doll. Awesome. Then we saw Bob! I said hi to Bob as he was being electrocuted. It was fun. The best part is: it was free!!! My sister-in-law got free tickets from her family, who work there. She tells me I still need to work there next year. It looks like a load of fun, but I'm not that creepy a person, so I'm not so sure that I'd be very good.

Blah.

Eh.

I tried to install iPod Linux on my iPod, but I screwed up and it didn't work. That's a try-again-dork type of program.

I want this one thing, pictured below:

What is is? It's an iJet Two-Way iPod remote. It has an LCD screen on it and it can show what's playing. That's handier than the Apple remote! GASP! But that remote costs $100 and I can't afford it. :(

"Don't judge me tomorrow by the way I'm acting today."

Those are the words of a Skye Sweetnam song that I have had stuck in my head. That and a remix of "I Go Crazy", DHT's cover of Paul Davis's song. I loove that song. It's presently the most-played song on my library, but that's not all that difficult, as most of my songs have a zero play count since the oopsie.

Well, I'm attempting to compose a letter to my real-world friends about the difference between who I pretend to be for normalcy and who I am in all reality. This is a huge task, and it's getting harder and harder as time goes by. I have to tell them eventually. I'm hoping that this letter that I'm writing can be an alternative to a very awkward conversation. It's going to be uncomfortable as it is, because I'm still exposing myself, making myself extemely vulerable, which is one of the worst feeling in the world for me. I absolutely hate having people know something that is so close to me. I just hope that if I do actually give people this letter, that I'm not taken wrong.

But beyond that, I have water in my ears. I hate that feeling too. I hate showers, except that they make me feel clean afterwards. Whatever.

I start piano lessons soon. In fact, Thursdays in the evening. So I get to go to lessons tonight. Whee...

Well, it's about 11:30, so I'm off to bed.

BAD day!

Ive had a bad Saturday today. First things first, though.

Phil had a fall. Onto his wireless adapter. So I had to buy a new one of those. The entire unit ended up busted. :( I had just gotten Linux to like it...

Speaking of Linux, BOB got broken! I resized the partiton that comes on the machine, and installed Ubuntu on it, but the stupid installer neglected to see if I really wanted the GRUB boot loader. So I went about reinstalling the default windows bootloader. But somehow, I got a bad set of instructions, and now the windows kernel DLLs are corrupt! And I can't reinstall windows because the computer didn't come with the WinXP disc, and the recovery console thusfar has been useless. I'll give the recovery console another try, but I have no high hopes for this sucker. It seems to me that I broke it good and we're going to lose all our data. I sure as heck hope not. All because of a stupid installer thing... GRR!!!!

Well, I'll give it another try. If it doesn't get fixed by the recovery console or the system DVDs, then I'm just going to put a sheet of paper on the monitor that says "Yay! I'm broke! (And Matt's as good as dead!)"

Wish me luck.

UPDATE: Windows is back but the computer is pretty much blank: Windows reinstalled. With my luck, ALL OF MY DATA, not my sister's, WAS WIPED! ARRRRGGHH!! Now I have to buy things from iTunes again and my stories were lost. GRR. My sister is so freaking lucky! Now I'm never keeping my iTunes library in the My Documents folder again!
