   If only...

I'm only angry at my headache.

This is the last post before I reveal the truthfulness or lack thereof of the segment mentioned last post. You can still win the virtual toast... :)

My dad and I were at the BX today, and we had to get batteries for our weird smoke alarm, and they were in the camera section. Being the dork I am, I started looking at the cameras. :) I found that Nikon d50 I posted about months ago. Yeah, that 8MP monster. I took off the lens and admired the guts that were visible. My dad found me and mentioned that their 35mm SLR cost more than the camera I want. Theirs was about $1000 for the camera, two lenses, and flash. Mine is about $600 for the camera and two lenses, and "pretty good" external flashes for Nikon cameras aren't cheap, but they're not $300! I was trying to get dad to let me get it, but he said no. I wonder why... :)

I finished the site for my story as far as I care to at this moment. It works, and for right now and as far as I'm aware, it's bug free. Go check it out. Click here and click the cms/ folder if you're interested.

My day was very uneventful, so I'm not going to post anything here.

Since nobody commented on the question of the real or fictitious basis of the first part of yesterday's post, I won't reveal the answer yet.

I started working on my site for the story I'm working on. It's got about the same design as the blog thing with some minor changes. There is a mockup of the CMS thingy here.

I'm quite proud of how the picture in the corner fits in nicely, even if the way it does it is choppy. :)

GUESS WHAT I HAVE!!!!!

I got the new Evanescence CD!!!!!!!! WHOOHOOO!!

My fears proved pointless.

Today in homeroom, I wrote a note that became a letter to my ex-girlfriend. In said letter, I told her my secret. I wrote all through homeroom and some through biology, and then folded this note up and eventually put it in my pocket. At lunch, as we were leaving the lunch room, I handed this note to her and left, since otherwise I'd be late, and her too. I spent the rest of that hour fretting and regretting it. I sat there thinking oh shit, what have I done? The bell for 5th hour's end rings and I get up reluctantly.

As I collect my things and leave the Math room, I can't help but hesitate, wanting to avoid seeing her in the next hour, but manage to force myself to go anyways. As I get near the room, she is coming near there too, no note in sight. She makes mention to it. All that runs through my head is "oh no, oh no, oh no, oh no, oh no, oh no..." on and on and on. I subconsciously admit my regret by uttering the same thing as is running through my head. She says she read it, but she has questions. The fact that she is talking to me at all is a relief, but questions? I'm nowhere near prepared to answer questions!

She asks how it's possible to be what I am. I haven't any idea, so I admit that. I say that it just is. Then she forgot all the others. I only really had a few minutes of contact with her today, and she seems to understand and not hate me for things beyond my control.

I still don't know if I regret it or not.

Hey, I found some cool tricks for programs most people have.
MS Word: Type the following item in quotes and press enter: "=rand(200,99)". Be amused.
Notepad: Type the following item in quotes, save the file, close it, and re-open it: "this app can break".
Any word processor with Wingdings font: Type "Q33 NY" in Wingdings. Notice the symbols that result.

I got bored the past few nights and I found some anime on YouTube. I've been watching Wolf's Rain. So far, I like it, but I'll stop if it loses my interest. :)

I'd like to keep you guessing now. The first segment above the divider. Is it a realistic depiction of my day today, or is it a representation of a fictional character doing those things?

Winner gets a virtual toast. :)

I've been thinking again. (I know, dangerous.) I need to tell Christina my secret. How and when, I don't know, but as completely and as soon as possible are probably the right answers.

I'm very bad. I didn't do my English homework the past few days. I'm supposed to have an introduction and a narration section of my persuasive paper in tomorrow, and I haven't and have no desire to start it. :(

My computer supports medical research!

   =o!

What exactly do I have to post about? Not exactly a lot.

Last night, I had a bad stomach ache. I think it was an odd way of my body telling me I'm dehydrated again, as well as indigestion and/or general junk food pains. (Yes, I get stomach pains from too much junk food.)

My dad is on a business trip to Indiana for about 4 days, give or take a half a day, as memory fails to serve me right. My mom bought a bunch of junk food because she misses him, and we all know she shouldn't have, but what am I supposed to do? Tell my mom that we won't let her eat it? She does have authority over me, and not vice-versa. So we'll hope this won't be too bad, and then as soon as my dad gets back home, we're supposed to go on a "quick-plan" diet thing again, so we'll actually be eating healthy again! Yay! I rather like eating the healthier foods. They make me feel better and I don't end up with stomach aches from healthy food. :)

In English class, we're writing persuasive essays/ The Classical Argument, and then later we are turning them into speeches and presenting them. I hate that last part, but I can live. The topic I chose was DRM. As some of us know, Apple/iTunes/iPod have fallen under some heat in Europe as being uncompetitive, as Microsoft has with IE and WMP. Apple is being forced to open their DRM for an inter-operable digital music marketplace, and Jobs is suggesting that we just abolish DRM systems completely. It's interesting, and even my English teacher is interested in reading my paper, so I have to make it good... Hopefully I can smoothly B.S. my way through 2 of the 3 pages required... Otherwise I may not be able to meet the length requirement, but she says quality, not quantity, so if it's really good and only 2 pages, she'll be fine with it. So yeah, that's English class.

For those interested in my story, I have it typed to what I have written. The site is going to become a new project in the /projects/ directory of my website. It's just going to be a general content management system type thing. I still haven't written a single piece of code, but I have though a great deal into the structure. Each item (node) will either be a sibling or child of another, save the root nodes (story titles), which are siblings of each other. Basically, a simple hierarchy. All of this content is managed in a single table in a database, so it's marginally lightweight from my ideas in my head. It'll be pretty cool when I'm finished, trust me. :)

Well, it's after midnight now, so I should be off to bed, unfortunately. I'll be writing tomorrow, so I'll probably have to type a lot on Wednesday night...

I can't wait to quit my paper route... I hate it.

EDIT: I have begun an arrangement of "Moonlight Shadow." The vocal track, anyways... XD

I won an auction on eBay about a week ago. The item came in today. Guess what's wrong.

It's broken! Either the shippers broke it or the seller lied when they said it was working. Heh. Define working. I ended up sending a tech support email to the manufacturer, and if they say it's broken, I'll either have to eat the $11.20 loss or complain and see if the seller will take it back on some sort of return policy.

What was it you ask? Well, I'm a nerd, I know, so guess what it has to do with. It's a barcode scanner. I know, nerdy.

Anyways, it's like 01:30 and officially Thursday. My dad and my sister went to conferences with me and we ended up going to Dairy Queen out by my sister's school afterwards. My teachers didn't have anything bad to say about me, and my Spanish teacher was glad for two reasons, too. I'm taking Spanish IV next year, and we actually got to speak with her this time. Last time, she was way too busy, so we didn't get to.

I wish it were after school today already. I need the long weekend they give us from conference week.

Someone said I don't write posts that are that long. What about this one? That one's pretty darn long! I'll admit that I do fall short a tad, but that one's pretty good sized, eh?

Someone make me stop listening to LaunchCAST radio! I need to stop rating music on there, else I will become an "addict!" =0

I've surpassed 800 hits! :) I've got about 803 (I think...).

Well, as I promised, I have found the division point for the sixth chapter, so now I must design the site for this story in specific (since it's around the top of my priorities at the moment.). It'll probably be linked from the homepage of my site, but I probably won't be putting it on dA because I don't feel like it.

I managed to not break IIS yet! :)

As for why I should stop coming up with new ideas for stories: I noticed that at the top of almost every written page of my story I have a note to myself that says some crazy story idea. If I have too many, then I'll loose track of them or start one and then the current one will fall into some random black hole in my brain. As long as I can keep coming up with this one, I'll keep finding new ideas, but I don't promise anything.

Speaking of writing, I noticed some people notice that I write a lot. Some of them laugh behind my back and whisper amongst themselves that writing isn't an 'art.' Let's see what Dictionary.com has to say about that:

Art
"10. a branch of learning or university study, esp. one of the fine arts or the humanities, as music, philosophy, or literature."

Looks like it is an art after all! Some people think that the only art is the visual arts... dweebs.

   Ugh.

Well, because I don't know if there's linux drivers for my wireless card, I'm going to have to keep trying to use IIS to serve things from Angela (Formerly \\HSRESQ). So I'm definitely keeping my copy of Windows XP CorPIRATE (pirated corporate edition) on there. I reinstalled IIS, and I'm going to try to get PHPMyAdmin to work again... It broke it last time I tried. :(

I got put in the worst seat in 2nd hour/homeroom. It's not really who I sit around or how close I am to the front of the room, it's how close I am to the teacher. I sit just a row or two away from directly in front of her! So now I have to fake read a little better now so I don't get in trouble for not reading. I just like writing better, even if I haven't even been typing my story lately.

Speaking of which, it's to about 10 pages now. I still have a crazy amount of it to type. So now I'm going to keep iTunes on the other monitor and I'm going to work on the good one. Hopefully I can get another part typed. Once I find somewhere to cut it into a sixth chapter, I'm going to design the site for this story, and then I'm going to post it on my website. So there will soon be a link to this story in my intro thingy. :)

I am planning on making a minor change to the library section of "teh hidded site." Now, it sorts by ID number, but I plan to sort it by date instead, which is a stronger indicator of the most recent things.

Well, I'll get to that... OMG! *points into distance and runs in opposite direction*

Edit: I just realized that there is a long period of time covered in the 10 pages of story. From the end of the prologue to the beginning of chapter 1 is a two year jump! Then in that, there is a two and a half days covered over the rest so far. It's astonishing how much time I dropped due to lack of relevance to the story!

Re-Edit: I need to stop coming up with ideas for new stories...
