   I WANT!

I was writing my story today, and I couldn't decide what kind of car the person was going to drive. So I was looking around the Honda, Hyundai, Chevy, Ford, ect. websites, and I found one for the character in the story, (red Hyundai Tiburon) but I found a car that I want! A very expensive 2006 car...

A '06 Honda Civic Hybrid.

I don't even know why I want it so bad, but when I compared it along side some others (I think it was the Chevy Impala, Hyundai Tiburon, and Misubishi Eclipse, all '06's), and it actually had a lot more "standard" equiptment than the others. Granted it starts at about $20,000.... If I could afford it at all, I would get one... But I don't think that my parents would approve of a "new" car. My first car is more than likely going to be just above $1000 or less, due to how much (little) money I have sitting in the bank and if I can get a "real job." Then I'd want to know how far into my first debt I'd burried myself compared to others my age... that would be funny.

I just hope I don't catch myself saying, "I have to have that house..." If I do, I'll be worried, as my parents more than likely will.

As to why I want the hybrid car... Silly reasons include:
• "Hybrid" is a cool word.
• I like how the little Hybrid badge looks on the car.
• I can say "Haha! My car is more efficient than yours!" to my parents.

Realistic reasons:
• 49 MPG city is better than our '02 Impala gets driving interstate! (Impala gets about 36 MPG there.)
• Buying less gas is not, "like, hard." (Think Will & Grace to get that one.)
• Tax Deductions! They actually do give you a tax deduction if you own a hybrid vehicle.
• It ain't an SUV!

I like typing •. see: • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • •

Alright, that's enough of them... (Yes, I got tired and copy-pasted a few... some... ok, most.)

EEEKK!!

I made a video. Proceed with caution. It's actually not too bad. I used a bunch of my sister's video clips and one of her song tracks and messed with them in Windows Movie Maker. It actually turned out alright, except sometimes the video gets so blocky you can but barely see it.

Well.... I didn't do much today except make that video. That's pretty boring. After it finishes uploading here I'm going to pick up the writing again.

Hi?

Just posting another extremely short post... I'm skipping writing to reprove my inability to draw. So if you were expecting stuff or something exciting, it's not here.... =P

Well....

I think I've been recycling post titles! XD The smiley says hungry, but I haven't modified it to give it easy redescribing. What I really want it to be is the kind of thing people do when they're working hard. You know, kinda stick their tongue out the corner of their mouth. But yeah.

Well, why would I want a "working hard" smiley? I'm writing! :O This time I decided to do something a little different than the usual story thing. I.E., this one is longer than a sheet of notebook paper, and this one is a stupid, poorly written horror story type thing. I was on quizilla and I just thought, "Hey! I don't have any stories on here!" so I started writing one. It's actually kind of fun. I passwordeded the file again because of good old "writer's paranoia," but this time I won't forget it. It has the same password as another one I'm working on that I started a few days ago and I remembered it. Now I just need to make sure I can differentiate between "WIP THing" and "WIP THing 2" when I want to work. The story does have a proper-ish title, it's just that if I gave it, it'd give a good deal of the story away... Oh well.

I don't know what I did, but I managed to totally ignore the fact I had a post being made....

Well, I should go to bed... it's almost 5...

WEIRDO!

I tried drawing again... it didn't quite work. I think I need to try a real book instead of the free crap on the internet... What the first lesson was was a person (I can't tell if it's a dude or a chick!) sitting in a chair, rotated 180 degrees. I need something a little less detailed, more simple... something aimed at a 15-year-old who can't but just barely sometimes kinda draw... I have yet to find one. I get the concept of the right and left brain, but I don't know how to think about anything without using "symbols" of something. I may just have to work harder towards getting out of that habit, but I don't exactly know how to think without said "symbols." I've been trying to preview this one book about it, but Amazon doesn't have a good preview, my library doesn't have it online, and I more than likely don't know anyone who owns it. It's called (The New) Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain by Betty Edwards. Supposedly, it works, but the five pages of content Amazon gives isn't reinforcing the opinions of others. I forgot to check if the library has the physical book, but I doubt they do.

Well, I did a little test with myself. I found a bunch of internet stories about one subject, then called the library's dialPAC(Card catalog program). I searched for the same subject matter. The internet yielded more verified hits than the entire Bellevue Public Library! Ha! Internet ain't so bad now. Granted the library's books were far longer, the sheer volume of the internet surpassess that of my local library.

After I did that I proceeded to play with the dictionary and stuff and seeing if it knew certain words. I don't think it knew "manga." (Which I just learned last week is pronounced mon-ga.) I also tried a couple of words that had related words that were in their dictionary. No result. :( Oh well, no one at the BPL needs to know those words anyways, and if they do, they have a reason.

I forgot to do the TRUmood thing...

I profess my inability to dance.. even in DDR... I tried Standard, since I had A's on almost every song we (it's my sister's game) had on Light. I failed terribly... I think I need to work out the last few B's and E's (actually F's) before I should think about Standard again. I even found the easiest one. I think I'm just too slow to go to the next setting...

I have Microsoft products in "my drawer." That's scary... I don't have a particular love for Microsoft... Their stuff is useful, useful by far, but it still sucks because when you get it, it takes five years to get ready to go... That's one reason I'm starting to not hate Macs so much... They're neat machines, but I don't think it'd be terribly useful for me... Every piece of software I own is designed specifically for Windows... Then I think, "Hey! I have a linux disc!", but then I remember how much Linux hates me... The oddest part is that penguins don't exactly like me either... Ironic. Evil Linux penguin... The only time Linux ever did me a service was when I was getting a self-signed SSL certificate for my network's intranet thing. Even then, finding the crap was a pain. I still want to make a DigitalID certificate to use in email... I have to remember how to make certificates because they expire one year from issuance... I still don't have my learner's permit... I can't draw... Few people really know me... My cell phone needs to be replaced...

I think it's safe to say I no longer have a girlfriend... She's been calling, but I never answer it when she calls. She doesn't leave messages... I'm thinking this next year at school, I'm going to keep a clean slate. Hopefully there is no coincidence of schedule that forces me to be in classes with her or her friends. I just don't want anything to do with them anymore.

I should either just put my iPod on "Repeat One," or go to bed. It's 6, and I keep replaying Madonna's "Hung Up." I don't have a particular fascination with Madonna, I strongly dislike her, to be frank, but this one song is just so... i don't know... I like it, that's about all there is to it.

And THANK YOU subconscious! I burned CDs from iTunes previously, so I only actually 9 tracks compared to 28. Still a lot down the drain there, but whatever. If I could do it, I might hug my subconscious, but that could make me die... So maybe not...

I dropped a LOT from my intro. I'm sure you noticed.

And my closing remark, besides telling you to read the other post too, is a bit of lyrics from the song I just switched to.

"Tell me once again, why would you lie to me?" --"Lie To Me" by Daniel Powter off the self-titled album, Daniel Powter.

The sad part is I've lied to the entire world about my identity of myself for a while now. The only part of the entire world I hadn't lied to by saying that I'm "normal" would be the community of others like me and, for now, the only other person I trust enough to let them know, Kitsune. But there's not anything I can do about lying with something so important... Meh, I'll complain about it in the seperate blog I have for it specifically.

'night/'morning/I don't know what time it is.

EDIT: guess which thing here is mine. But only if I didn'y already show/tell you.

Yayness!

I made the singular post transparency thing work! Try it with this post and the ones below it.

I'm a dork. XD

I also modified TRUmood to give the alert boxes to tell you what the mood stands for, since FireFox doesn't automatically show you on mouse hover like IE does.

EDIT: I didn't realize it until after I was working with my site a bit more that I noticed this, but compare one of the dates in the information thing to today's date. :)

Yet More!

Well, it's now after 7 and I'm still up... I'm just not tired. Well. What did I do? I made it so you can cover the transparency in my posts. It only works on the first one, but it's a start! I just need to work on getting the other ones working. That's either after I sleep or after I can actually figure out how to do it. So try it! Tell me if it's screwed up, because it worked for me...

And don't forget to read the post below this one.

More geekiness!

Okay. I did some more script work today. Now I've done a tad of DHTML and some javascript (unrelated to the DHTML). Now.... to see what I did (and the rest of my post), Click Here

Look what I can do!!!!!

Compare these stats to this page. (Look under the "tab" My Rated Music, look for the heading "RATINGS LEVEL").

This script dynamically snitches the stats from that page and displays them. Neat, eh? It's a really touchy script though... If Yahoo! changes their design enough, they screw it up.

I'm thinking about applying this concept to my MyO stats instead of just my Yahoo LaunchCAST radio stats, but it won't work... :(
