For five days straight trainers battle each other. Ash had no problems during any of his matches and when he had won the final match of his bracket he knew he could make it all the way to the championship. "And Gary Oak is the winner of bracket two!" The announcer says. Ash's smile faded as Gary walked up to him. "Somehow this doesn't surprise me. I knew we would meet again here. Guess our battle will come sooner then I thought." Gary says shaking his hand. "Yeah. (Now its time to get serious. I never thought he would actually make it all the way here.)" Ash says to himself. "Alright that was some great battles trainers. You all should be proud. Now tomorrow is a day of rest. Then the next day you two will face off at high noon!" The announcer says. The next day Ash does nothing but study up on different tactics. Finally the day of the finals. Ash verses Gary. At ten thirty the crowd starts pouring in and by eleven thirty its packed. As Ash is walking into the locker room a security guard approaches him "Here he is." The guard says and points to Ash. "Ash!" A woman yells. Ash turns and his mother runs up to him and gives him a big hug. "Oh its so good to see you again. I can't believe you made it all the way to the finals. I'm so proud." She says. "Thanks mom. When did you get here?" He asks. "A couple hours ago. Someone sent these (holds up a field pass and a airplane ticket) to me with a note saying be here. When I landed there was a taxi waiting at the airport." She says. "Really? Wonder who sent them. Well if you wait a moment I will walk you to the field." Ash says and ducks into the locker room. Moments later they both walk onto the field. Delilah (Ash's mom) sits down next to Jesse and they start talking. Another twenty minutes go by and the announcer comes on "Ladies and Gentlemen. Children of all ages. Welcome to the final match to see who will be competing against the Elites. We have Gary Oak. (the crowd cheers) and Ash Ketchum (the crowd goes nuts). (Ash lets out a deep breath and tries to calm down. While Gary is calm and collected.) Once that clock tolls twelve times toss out your pokemon and battle it out. There will be no substituting during this match. And may the best pokemon win!" The announcer says. The crowd cheers again and the clock begins tolling. Once the twelfth toll struck they threw out their pokemon. Gary threw out a Nidoqueen and Ash threw out a Pinsir. "What an unusual choice. This should be an interesting battle." The announcer says. The two pokemon square off and stare at each other. The field being a Ground type doesn't give either an advantage. Pinsir makes the first move and runs over to the large rocks. Nidoqueen slowly walks over while keeping an eye out for a surprise attack. From out of another group of large rocks, behind her, Pinsir waits silently and patiently for her guard to drop. The entire time her guard never drops she looks at the large rocks for a brief second then around the area. She does this till she has searched all the rocks in front of her. Pinsir throws a small rock into a larger group in front of her. She quickly turns around and heads towards Pinsir. He quickly dives into the cave just barely big enough for him to fit into. He pops up on the far end of the field and checks his surroundings. Nidoqueen has grown tired of Pinsir's games and starts destroying each rock piles. Pinsir takes this opportunity and goes for an attack. He runs from rock pile to rock pile till he gets right behind Nidoqueen. He leaps onto her back and sinks his teeth in. Nidoqueen roars in pain and tries to shake off her attacker. When that doesn't work she tries rolling around on the ground. That only makes his teeth sink deeper into her back. Nidoqueen gets back to her feet and looks around. She backs up to a large rock and bashes Pinsir into it. After the first two hits Pinsir moves out of the way and latches on to the back of her neck causing her to roar again. Having grown tired of this Nidoqueen runs full speed across the field and dives back first into a large boulder. When the dust settles Nidoqueen is sitting there shaking her head. Pinsir is laying under a few rock pieces dazed. Nidoqueen rubs her neck and looks around for Pinsir. As she reaches for him he drives his to larger pincers into her leg. She roars in pain and tries to leave the unstable rocks for more stable ground. Pinsir digs his legs in and holds his ground. She falls face first into the sharp rocks, cutting her all over. Pinsir tightens his grip and shatters her leg bone. He then lets go and she sprints out of the rock pile. She can no longer stand upright. Pinsir stands up in the rock pile and looks at his work. Nidoqueen growls in anger and pain. Pinsir leaps onto her back again and before he can sink his teeth in, she rolls over and pins him to the ground. Then while he is temporarily stunned she gets to her feet and puts her front feet on his arms. She the begins eating away at the joints of his arms and legs, during which he screams in agonizing pain. Nidoqueen takes a couple steps back and tends to her wounds. Afterwards, her mouth begins glowing. She stands over Pinsir and uses Hyperbeam. The dust settles and Nidoqueen is limping back towards Gary. Ash stands there for a moment in shock before falling to his knees. Delilah and Jesse rush to his side as the announcer says "There you have it folks! Gary Oak is going on to face the Elites! What an upset for Ash Ketchum. Having survived this dangerous island only to lose now. What a heartbreaker. Congratulations Gary!" Shino is standing in the tunnel that leads to the locker room. He turns to leave and Akurei is standing there. "That was a shocker, wasn't it?" Akurei says. "Yup. Wonder how he will do against the Elites?" Shino replies. "Who knows? I wouldn't bother the Champion just yet. Lets wait till he beats the first Elite." Akurei says. Shino nods and they both walk down the hall.

The following morning every newspaper and TV station is covering the prison explosion. Ash and Jesse get up and flip on the TV and that's all that's on. While they are watching Ash realizes that that is the prison Shino was in. Someone knocks on the door and Ash answers it. "Hello, Ash Ketchum?" A woman says. "Yes." Ash replies. "Thank goodness. The last like two hundred rooms are mad at me. My name is Nikki and I believe we met at the Pokeball. I was the girl who won Shino." Nikki says. Ash thinks back and says "Oh now I remember. How can I help you?" "Well I was wondering if you knew where Shino was?" She asks. "No. Last I heard he was in that prison that blew up last night." Ash says. A look of sadness comes over her face. "Oh. Ok. Ah, before I forget Prof. Willow would like to see you. He will meet you at the big gate at two this afternoon." Nikki says and runs off. Ash looks at the clock and sees that it is already one forty five in the afternoon. He gets dressed and rushes to the gate. When he arrives Prof. Willow is already there. "Ah Ash! Glad to see you made it through alive! That stupendous." Willow says shaking his hand. "Thanks. How many have made it back so far?" Ash says. "Quite a few. Right now you are probably wondering why I asked to meet you here? Well you see my boy it involves this gate and the finals. There was a slight problem with some faulty electrical lines. Sparx is at the stadium now fixing everything. With any luck he should be done with in a month. So until then just hang out here or you can go home and see your family. I will keep you updated. That's all for now." Willow says shaking his hand again. "You have got to be kidding. Its going to take a month. Crap... I guess I will go and see my mom. Thanks for this update." Ash says and heads back to the pokecenter. Jesse is glued to the news when ash walks in. "Check this out. Apparently there was only two survivors from that prison. A couple guards. The cops are searching through the rubble and haven't found a single inmate or another guard. This is just crazy." Jesse says. "Hey Jesse what would you like to do for let's say the next month?" Ash asks. Jesse turns off the TV and looks at him. "What do you mean? What about the Dark League Championship?" Jesse says. "The stadium has electrical problems. So they are postponing the finals for a month." Ash replies. Jesse thinks for a moment and says "How about we go over to Cinnabar Island and relax. Take a well deserved vacation." Ash nods in agreement and they pack. The next day they are sitting on the beach on Cinnabar Island. Jesse is in that skimpy bikini Karen gave her and every guy on the beach is staring at her. A couple muscular guys walk up to her and start talking to her. As she is talking Ash sits up and looks at them. "Sorry, but I am with him and he isn't giving out pokemon lessons." She says. The guys turn around and walk away. "What was that about?" Ash asks. "Nothing." She says kissing him. For the next month they stay there on the beach. Prof. Willow calls him just as they board the plane to go back to the Dark Islands. He tells him the stadium will be done in a week and they are just getting the final preparations for all the trainers. They land in Purgatory and trainers are everywhere. Some of them are returning from their vacations others are just finishing up the badges. That week flies by and and all the trainers head toward the gate. All of the trainers show their badges to the scanner and head down a long spooky trail that has dead tree limbs over the top. All day long the trainers walk and around nightfall they come to a large open space. "Please rest here for the night. You may continue in the morning." A voice says over the intercom. The next morning right at sunrise the next gate opens and all the trainers file through it. And that afternoon they come out right in front of the stadium. It is massive and looks similar to the Roman Coliseum. The outside as well as the seating. The inside of the stadium has four battlefields. As soon as the last trainer walks out, fireworks go off and a welcome message flashes on the marquee. The hotels are to the left of the stadium and all the trainers head over to them. The following morning spectators from all over file into the stadium. All of the trainers are seated on the battlefield around a stage. Prof. Willow and the Commissioner of Pokemon walk onto the stage and Willow has the microphone. "Congratulations to all you trainers. Out of the nine hundred seventy two trainers that entered at the start only four hundred twelve made it all the way through. And out of the five hundred sixty trainer that didn't only forty of them lived. I would like to take a moment of silence for the five hundred twenty that died. (everyone is quiet for a couple minutes) We lost most of those when they went after Scizor. Anyway, here to explain what is going to happen over the next few days is the Commissioner of Pokemon, Bob Hendersin!" Willow says. Bob takes the microphone and says "Again congratulations for making it all the way here. It was a lot more then we expected. As you may of noticed there are four battlefields in this stadium. Since we can not have all of you compete for the championship. We are going to have a series of elimination rounds. After that the winning trainer will compete against the Elite and finally the Champion. Tomorrow morning you will arrive here at seven in the morning to see the battle brackets. After you check in, head over to the appropriate field door. After the match please vacate the field immediately so that the next group of trainers can battle. If any of this is confusing don't worry you will be receiving a sheet of paper with this written on it. That's all. Good luck to all of you and congratulations on making it here." Willow takes the microphone back and says "So today is your day to rest, or get some last minute practice in. There is to be NO BATTLES AMONGST COMPETING TRAINERS. If you are caught, both of you will be disqualified and your badges will be stripped. Other then that have fun." Willow turns the microphone off and the crowd cheers as the trainers leave the fields. Shino is sitting on his front porch in a rocking chair with Karen's father. "That was quite a stunt you pulled. I am glad to see you got through it alright." He says. "So am I. Karen would probably be mad that I didn't stay in but I couldn't do it." Shino says. "Not many can and she wouldn't be too mad. The main thing is you tried. You were given that opportunity for a reason so you must still have a purpose." Karen's father says patting his shoulder. "Yeah. You are probably right." Shino says looking out to the lawn. Scizor silently stalks a couple Pikachu's eating some grass. Shino raises an eyebrow as Scizor pounces on them like a cat. He smacks one into a tree and pins the other one to the ground by the tail. Shino shakes his head as Scizor torments them before eating them.

Around midnight a soft quiet rumbling sound is heard throughout the prison. The three main guards, who beat Shino daily, look through the hole in the door and see him standing in the middle of it. "You are right on time, gentlemen. Tonight the festivities are going to be earth shattering." Shino says as they come in. The door slams violently behind them catching the last guard's leg. The door shatters the bone and cuts it off. The guard screams in pain and falls to the ground. The guards are helpless in the dark and Shino takes full advantage of it. He stands behind one and says "It sucks not being able to see doesn't it?" The guard swings and misses. "Don't bother reaching for your flashlights. I already have them. Along with your guns and night sticks. You are unarmed and there is nothing you can do about it." Shino says walking around the room confusing them. His voice seems to be coming from all different directions. The guard on the ground is still screaming for help and it is annoying Shino. "That is enough of that." He says and a loud squish sound is heard. Shino stomped so hard that there is a perfect imprint of his boot in the cement and it shows up clearly on the ceiling of the cell below him. The other two guards managed to get back to back and are circling around. "Isn't that nice. You two are back to back and still can't see. Your eyes won't adjust to the light fast enough before I grow tired of tormenting you. Here allow me to help you see the light. (He snaps his fingers and a blinding flash lights up the room for an instant. The two guards cover their eyes and are temporarily blinded.) Aww.... Heh heh... Was that too bright? You may feel a slight burning sensation in your eyes. That means the poison is working. And within an hour your brain will feel like it is on fire. Then you will spend the rest of your lives on life support with extremely sensitive pain receptors. The slightest touch will overwhelm you and cause you untold pain. The one upside to that is you won't be able to tell anyone it hurts and no amount of pain killers can stop it. Have a nice life." Shino says then walks out of his cell and another guard sees him. The guard turns to run for the alarm but just before his fingers touch it, Shino punches him full force. The impact alone cracks the cement walkway and dents the bars. The guard's body rips apart. Pieces fly down the walkway and damage anything they hit. Shino looks down at the guard's head, which is still alive, and he says "Don't get up. Allow me." Shino pushes the alarm and the guards scramble to get their riot gear on. Shino stands there patiently and waits for them. About five minutes later he hears them gasp at the sight of their fellow guard's pieces embedded into the solid concrete wall. Twenty of them come running down the narrow walkway that is wide enough for two guards. Shino closes his eyes and takes a deep breath. The head in front of him floats into the air and the guards stop about ten feet away. "You are to lay down on the ground with your hands above your head." The sergeant says. A blood chilling smile comes over Shino's lips and he opens his eyes. The head shoots forward with so much force that the bars of the railing actually curl up as it follows the head. The head smashes into the front shields and obliterates both guards, shields, and the head in an instant. One of the guards gets his arm caught in the twisting iron rail bars. The other guards stand there horrified and almost all of them wet themselves. "Had you done your jobs the correct way you wouldn't be going through this. Instead you would of transferred to another prison like the day shift guards. Didn't you find it odd that the day crew was all transferring? Of course not. You were too busy tormenting us prisoners and doing other inappropriate deeds. I have been given the sole duty to punish you any... (takes a step forward.) way... (takes another) I... (takes another) see... (takes another) fit (stops right in front of them). For your abuse of power I sentence you all to death!" Shino says coldly and calmly. He quickly grabs the guard, with his arm caught in the railing, and slowly pushes his head into the railing. The guard screams in agonizing pain as more of his head is pushed into the bar. He dies slowly and the other guards pull out their mace and spray it in Shino's face. The mace forms a liquid ball right in front of his face. The more they spray the bigger it gets. They finally stop spraying and slowly back away. The guards in the very back start running away and the liquid ball follows them. It catches up and hits them in the face. The six guards drop to the ground screaming. "You are all trapped like little rats. You can't run back and death awaits you in front, what will you do? Die fighting? Or run like cowards?" Shino says cracking his knuckles. Two other guards (not part of the original twenty) had snuck around the other way and are now quietly running towards Shino. Just before they tackle him, Shino spins around and drops to one knee then punches through the riot shield and into the guard's chest. The guard's entire skeletal system flies out of his body and knocks the other guard's skeletal system out, replacing it in the process. The first guard's body is still standing there stunned and the second guard's body, with it's new skeleton, looks itself over. And finally the skeleton is standing there stunned as well. All of the prisoners are quiet and terrified at this point. Shino turns back towards the alive guards and says "That was clever. Time to finish this." He looks at the guards and notices that only two are standing there and the six that got maced are laying there. Shino shuffle side kicks the one on the right straight up and the guard's head goes into the cement ceiling. Then without warning, he roundhouses the one on the left through the bars of a cell like a hot knife through butter. The cell bars are unscathed except for the blood running down them. Shino walks to the six that are down and writhing in pain as he gets up to them, the guards that got the skeletal transplant drop. The skeleton actually falls over the railing and shatters on the ground below. The prisoners that saw it fall screamed in terror. "What to do to you? Can't just crush your heads, I already did that to someone else. I got it." Shino says with a grin. In the main office the nine remaining guards have grabbed shotguns and percussion grenades. Then barricaded themselves inside. Suddenly all the monitors go out and over the intercom Shino can be heard singing, "Total slaughter, (heavy footsteps) Total slaughter. I won't leave a single man alive. La de da de dai. Genocide. La de da de dud. An ocean of blood. Let's begin the killing time." As the song ends the door bursts off its hinges scaring the nine guards. They open fire and when the smoke settles, six dead guards lay in the middle of the doorway bleeding to death. Shino steps over them and the nine living guards freak out. "You put up a decent fight but you are out of ammo and I am blocking the only exit to this room. You only have two options at this point. Option one, commit suicide. Option two, try to make a break for it. One of you may get by. Choose now." Shino says eyeing each of them. One guard takes a pen from a nearby desk and stabs himself in the neck a couple times then once in the heart. While Shino is distracted the other eight make head towards the door. The first guard makes it out the door and down the hall, just as he goes through a sliding door, it slams shut on him, crushing his spinal column. Miraculously he is still alive. Shino grabs one in a headlock and another by the throat. While the guard struggled to breath Shino, ripped the guard's throat out and shoved it down the other guard's (the one in the headlock) throat. He kicked one in the nuts and the other one in the bottom of his chin, sending it into the guard's brain. Another tried to run out the door but Shino whipped around, accidentally snapping the guard he had in a headlock's neck, and grabbed him by the shirt collar then yanked backwards causing the guard to land on the back of his neck, snapping it. "You two are the last ones standing. Your move." Shino says. They look around at the mess around them and drop to their knees. "Good choice. Now let all the prisoners out. And tell them to head to the exercise room for a surprise." Shino says punching the one he kicked in the nuts. The guard lays there unconscious as the other two do what they are told. Once they are finished one of them turns to Shino and asks "Why are you doing this?" Shino looks at them and replies "Because I was asked to by the President. He asked me to find out who the dirty cops were and eliminate them. That is why over the past couple weeks, nightshift has had more officers joining them. As for the prisoners well they are all on death row. So I was asked to take all of them out in one shot. It didn't matter how or when. As long as it got done. This prison is so old and rundown that it needs to be destroyed. Basically I am killing three birds with one stone. Nothing personal." "What have I done to deserve this?" the guard asks. "You knew about the corruption in this prison, yet you did nothing to stop it. How many of these prisoner's wives or girlfriends suffered because you didn't say anything?" Shino replies picking the unconscious guard up. The guard opens his mouth but nothing comes out. "Take him and the three of you head to the exercise room." Shino says. They lead the way. Once they get there all two hundred and seventeen prisoners are packed into the exercise room. The three guards enter and Shino slams the door shut behind them. "Attention inmates. All of you have been found guilty for the crimes you committed. Just looking around I can tell not one of you is innocent. You are all on deathrow and sentenced to die. Today is the day for that to happen. (the inmates start protesting) Shut up. I don't give a shit what you have to say. The President has given me the sole duty to kill you. As well as the corrupt guards. This prison is going to be condemned due to poor conditions so instead of moving you to another prison he decided to have you all killed just so he can save a few bucks. Feel free to kill those guards or any other inmate. And to show there are no hard feelings I am going to give you the keys to get out." Shino says holding up the keys. "Why do you get to kill us? We have rights too." one inmate says. "Because he is the President's bitch." another says. "You gave up your rights the day you raped and killed your six year old daughter. (all the inmates look at the first one inmate.) I am not the President's bitch. I just enjoy killing worthless scum like you. And I can control myself." Shino says and opens the door. He tosses the keys in and the mayhem started. The inmate who raped and killed his daughter was dragged way into the back of the exercise room along with the guards. As Shino casually made his way out of the prison screams and fighting was heard. Finally one inmate gets the keys to the door and tries to unlock it. He does and the door won't budge. "That son of a bitch! He crimped it shut. That door ain't going to open." says an inmate. Shino walks outside of the prison gates and is greeted by Scizor. "How did it go?" Scizor asks. "Not bad. They are probably cursing my name about now." Shino replies. "Welcome back, Master." Scyther and Kabutops say together. "Good to be back. And sorry for earlier." Shino says. "No need to apologize, Master." Scyther says. "We brought the cleaning crew." Kabutops says. "Would you rather dig through the rubble or hunt them down?" Shino asks. "Hunting is always more fun." Scyther says. Twenty five Scythers walk by on his left side being lead by Shino's Scyther and twenty five Kabutops walk by on his right being lead by Shino's Kabutops. "You have thirty minutes. Make sure you get them all." Shino says. Thirty minutes later exactly they walk back out covered in blood. "All done, Master." Scyther says. "Double check, Scizor." Shino says. Ten minutes later Scizor comes out with the two poisoned guards. "No one is left now." Scizor says. "We did not eat them because of the poison." Kabutops says. "That's fine. You guys got everyone else. You did excellent work as always. Now let's light this bitch up and go home." Shino says releasing Mewtwo. "My turn?" Mewtwo asks. Shino nods and Mewtwo laughs as he floats into the air. The wind picks up and the air grows bitterly cold. Clouds spin above Mewtwo and anything loose is drawn towards him. A very large shadowball has formed above him. Shino puts on his glasses as Mewtwo tosses the ball at the prison. The ground shakes violently and nothing happens. The ball has disappeared and the prison still stands. "Brace yourself." Shino says and Scizor hides the two guards behind a tree. A purple light shoots out above the prison and the prison is smashed to tiny bits by an unseen force. All the trees for five miles in all direction are flattened as well. "Not what I expected but it got the job done." Shino says as Mewtwo lands next to him. "Wait." Mewtwo says and the ground explodes in a huge explosion. When the smoke clears a massive crater lies before Shino and the rest. The rim of the crater is just inches from Shino's feet. "Cutting it a bit close." Shino says. Mewtwo goes into his pokeball And Shino turns around. "Was all this really necessary?" Scizor says. "Not really but, it was fun." Shino replies walking over to the two guards. He puts them out in the open and turns towards Scizor, Scyther, and Kabutops. "Let's go." Shino says and all of them walk through the flattened trees to the forest.

After a full week of relaxation Ash and Jesse finally get their gear together and get ready to leave Heaven. On their way out of town they bump into Diego. "You guys leaving?" He asks. "Yeah. We have been here long enough. Gotta get to the next town to fight the Elite. Umm.... Where is that by the way?" Ash replies. "There are a couple tiny towns along the way. Nothing real special about them. You want to go to Purgatory. That's the town you arrived in. If you want I can show you the express route? You could be there by tonight." Diego says. Ash looks at Jesse and they nod. Diego leads them to the top of the mountain and over to a section that is restricted. "Are you sure we should be here?" Ash asks worried. Jesse nudges him. "Relax. It is only restricted for tourists. I own this mountain and this is my personal route. So no worries." Diego says opening a door. It is a small section of the mountain top that has been sectioned off. There isn't even a roof or any other walls. "Alright you have a few choices. The rodent ball. Stay warm and get there the fastest, but harder to stop. Next we have your traditional wooden toboggan. You may get chilly but it is the easiest to stop. After that we have these plastic sleds. Fun ride but you can't ride together. You can also snowboard or ski down if you choose. I personally recommend the luge. Excellent speed and you can actually fool around on the way down. If you do "it" you can join a club that is very hard to get into." Diego says showing the equipment. "Couldn't we do it in the ball?" Jesse asks making Ash perk up. "You can. I don't recommend it because you could mess up the stabilizers in it. But by all means feel free to try." Diego explains. After several minutes they choose the luge. "Give me you all your personal items. Phones. Wallets. Any valuables. Don't worry about pokeballs." Diego says. "Why?" Ash ask handing everything over to him. Diego puts all the belongings into a large duffel bag and tosses it over the mountainside. Before either of them could say anything Diego pushes the luge over the side as well and away they go. It is like an actual luge course except there are no curves. In the track next to them (up a ways) they can see their bag. Shino is sitting in the warden's office again. Out in front of the prison all of the day shift guards are having a family picnic. "Now, Shino, I don't allow this type of thing but because you are a national icon I can't really refuse either. You have been a model prisoner since your arrival and I expect that to continue. The things you requested are on the table there. (points to a table behind Shino) You can change in my personal bathroom. Go on." The warden says. Meanwhile Maurice is not doing so well. The stress and worry has taken its toll. Not to mention the physical harm he has caused himself trying to answer a simple telephone. He hasn't showered in a week and has barely slept. He hasn't eaten hardly anything either. There is a knock on his front door and he races to answer it. On the way he bumps his right foot on a chair. He finally answers the door and a look of terror comes over his face. Shino has cleaned himself up in the bathroom. He walks out dressed in his usual gear and lets out a refreshed sigh. "Never thought it would feel this good to wear these again." Shino says looking himself over. "Well lets go." the Warden says. They walk outside and all the kids cheer. A few of them look around and Shino says "What are you looking for?" "Your bug." one of them says. From out of no where Scizor comes running up and slides to a stop next to Shino. All the kids cheer and pull out a pokeball. "We want to see you fight." one of the older kids say. All of the kids here are between six and ten and there are eighteen of them. "Really? I suppose I can do that." Scizor says as he is lead off by the kids. Shino has a seat at a table and grabs a soda. Just as he opens it Scyther and Kabutops emerge from the grass. "Master!" they say and bow. "Didn't expect to see you guys here. What is it? I am sorta busy." Shino says. "We would like to know when you plan on returning home." Kabutops says. "And what are our orders?" Scyther says. "Not sure if I am going to return. And as for your orders. Go home and make sure nothing happens to Karen's grave. And relax a bit. If you'll excuse me." Shino says walking over to Scizor. Scyther and Kabutops bow and leave. For the next few hours Shino and Scizor entertain everyone. They do all kinds of tricks and even spar with one another. They also pose for pictures and sign autographs. As they leave two of the female guards stay behind for a moment. First one approaches Shino and says "I realize this is sudden but before I transfer I was wondering if I could visit your cell tomorrow." She winks. "If you want." Shino replies and she walks off. The other one runs up to him and gives him a big hug. "Unlike her, I am single and don't have to worry about anyone finding out. Would you mind if I visited tomorrow afternoon?" She says nibbling on his ear. "Will I get to see your "show"?" He asks. "What show?" She asks. "You know. The show you put on when I am asleep outside my cell door. It sounds very interesting." He whispers into her ear and then playfully bites her neck. She turns bright red after realizing what he meant, then runs off. "Thanks Warden." Shino says shaking his hand. "You are welcome. And thank you. Everything is ready." The warden says. He leads Shino back to his cell and says "Keep the clothes. I will tell the night guards." Shino bows and hops onto his cot with an evil smile. "Remember, first shift will be here at five a.m." The warden says and closes the door. Ash and Jesse are walking out of the ocean and Officer Jenny is walking towards them. "That bastard Diego." Ash says in a pissed tone. "You aren't the first one he tricked. He gets everybody. Follow me and I will take you to the Pokecenter." Jenny says leading them towards the Pokecenter. Ash and Jesse get a room and then take turns showering. Once they are in dry clothes they head back out for some dinner. As they are walking Ash notices a huge iron gate with a sign next to it. "Only those of whom have been deemed worthy may enter. Please present your pieces of eight." Ash reads aloud. "Guess you have to show your badges to it." Jesse says. In Tempest, Maurice is sitting down to a huge meal and the left side of his face has a hand indent in it. "Ma, I told you I was sorry for not telling you. I can handle this on my own." Maurice says. "I know. Its just with your little brother going to Jhoto for college and Shino in prison I don't know what to do with myself." She says and sits down in a chair. "I know Ma." He says and gives her a hug. There is a knock at the door and Maurice runs to answer it. He opens the door and his jaw drops. Guadalupe is standing there with a basket in her hand. Maurice invites her in and they sit down. Ma gets up quietly and leaves.

Bright and early the next morning, Ash gets up and quietly leaves for the Gym. When he gets there Diego is just arriving himself. "You are an early riser." Diego says opening the door. "Not usually. I just wanted to get this done." Ash replies walking inside. Diego locks the door behind them. "You are still going to have to wait a bit. My pokemon are still asleep." Diego says taking a sip of his coffee. While they are waiting Diego grabs his guitar and starts playing a very haunting piece of music. While he is playing a Sandslash walks in and pours himself a cup of coffee then walks over to Diego and cuts the guitar strings. Diego opens his eyes and sees a very pissed looking Sandslash. "Sorry." Diego says. Sandslash leaves and Ash says "That was odd." "Not really. Sometimes he breaks my guitar. Fortunately he didn't break this one. (Flips the guitar over and shows the back) See. Karen gave this one to me as a graduation gift from high school." Diego says with a hint of sadness in his voice. About an hour later the gym lights come on and Ash and Diego head into the gym. Pokemon of all kinds are sleeping everywhere. Above Diego's box perched on a light is an Articuno. "You have an Articuno?" Ash says in amazement. "Oh, him. No, he's not mine. He just likes to sleep here. Now lets get this match started after we move some pokemon." Diego says nudging one with his foot. Another hour goes by and the battlefield is finally cleared. Ash takes his position and Diego takes his. "Ok, who wants to start things off today?" Diego asks his pokemon. A Farfetch'd steps out twirling its leek. Pikachu jumps onto the field and the ref starts the match. Farfetch'd stands there and motions for Pikachu to attack. Pikachu uses Agility and then goes for a Tackle. Farfetch'd side steps him and smacks him with the leek in the back of the head. Pikachu rolls a bit and stops. He turns around and uses Thunder which Farfetch'd simply twirls the leek and the electricity is rendered harmless. Pikachu thinks for a second and then runs around Farfetch'd in a circle so that a dust cloud forms. Farfetch'd looks around waiting for the attack. The dust dies down and Pikachu has vanished. Farfetch'd looks all around and then from the lights above Pikachu dives down onto him. Just before Pikachu goes for the kill, Diego stops the match. "That was very good. Not many trainers have beaten Farfetch'd. You should be proud." Diego says walking toward Ash. "Why did you stop it?" Ash asks. "I am against killing pokemon for Gym badges. Here take this. (hands him the badge) Its Heaven's Gate. You my friend are going to the face the Elite trainers and possibly the Champion. Congratulations." Diego says shaking his hand. Ash takes the badge and then does his annoying celebration stance. Diego raises his eyebrow. Then Ash runs all the way back to the Pokecenter where Jesse is still asleep. Ash bursts into the room scaring the shit out of her. "I did it!" he exclaimed. "I am going to battle the Elite and then hopefully the Champion." Ash continues. He jumps onto the bed and hugs Jesse. She hugs him back and says "That's great. I am so happy for you." Ash finally calms down and notices Jesse is standing there in just her panties. "Sorry." He says staring at her panties. She raises his chin up and looks him in the eyes. "My face is up here but, I am glad you like these. Now lets have a celebration dinner." She says. Shino is sitting in his cell thinking, when a guard walks in. "You have a visitor." The guard says. Shino gets up and walks down to the visitor room. He walks in and stops dead in his tracks. In Devil's Mind, Guadalupe is laying on her bed staring at the pictures on the dresser across the room. Maurice is laying on his bed staring at the ceiling back in Tempest. "How much longer is this going to take? This waiting is killing me." He says. His phone goes off and he practically kills himself trying to get to the phone. "Hello? Guadalupe?" He says out of breath. "Hello, Maurice? This is Naomi from the newspaper." She says. Maurice slams the phone down. "Son of a... Damn near kill myself for some stupid newspaper call." He says. As he cleans up the mess he made, his cell phone starts to ring but the battery dies making it look like he hung up. Guadalupe stares at her phone. "What the hell? He must still be upset. I'll give him a few more days to calm down before I try again." She says and hangs up. Maurice finishes cleaning and sits back down on the bed. He stares at the phone waiting for it to ring. Shino is sitting down on a chair with a red handprint on both sides of his face. "Sorry Ma for making you worry like that." He says. "Damn it boy. You had me real worried. Go off and get yourself thrown in prison. What the hell is going on in that head of yours?" She asks. "Nothing. This was one of Karen's wishes." He replies. "Are you eating at all? You look thinner." Ma says looking closely at him. "Yeah." He says. "Don't you lie to me, boy. When was your last meal?" She asks. "Six days ago." He says. Ma glares at him and then backhands him. "You stay right there. I will be back in a bit." She says coldly and leaves. She returns a little bit later with several bags from KFC. "Eat. There is plenty there so start eating." She says. Shino digs in like a hungry dog. Scizor pops out of his pokeball and scares Ma accidentally. She slaps him and says "Don't be scaring me like that." Shino and Scizor devour the food in minutes. "Thanks Ma. That tasted real good. I think I could sleep for a week now." Shino says rubbing his belly. He hugs her and heads for the door. "Take care of yourself." She says. Shino nods and the guard leads him back to his cell where he quickly fell asleep. For the entire next week he slept soundly and nothing could wake him. During that week Ash and Jesse hung around Heaven and did some sightseeing. As for Maurice and Guadalupe well, due to a series of odd events they have not spoken to each other. Blackouts. Misplaced cellphones. Dead phone batteries. Tree branches taking out the phone line when Maurice picks up the phone to answer it. And of course the newspaper calling at the weirdest times. Maurice's right leg is in a cast and several broken phones lay strewn about his home. Along with some broken furniture. Maybe next time.
