The first two weeks of holiday and it's not going well. My computer broke down and I couldn't update my site. In fact, I couldn't do anything! I'm getting bored...

I might not be able to update anytime soon...

Hoping to get the computer repaired, tensaisama.

Guess what? I ranked number five in my class with 73.1% but Number four got 73.9% - we're only 0.8% apart! Our marks are so close! It's kind of irritating.

My teacher kept repeating to my mother, "Your daughter could have done better, but it's okay, since it's only mid-year, and it's very different from last year's exams... It's understandable that her marks weren't as high as before."

The reason why everyone's marks are not very good is that our teachers are marking our papers to the O-Level standard - something that we're not used to. I got 68 for English - that's a B3 according to the O-Level standards. You can imagine my surprise when my teacher announced, "The highest mark for English is 68."

Anyway, I'm happy I'm in top five, though I wished I could've been in top three... Guess I'll have to work harder in the end-year exams. ^^

I've got some of my exam papers back. I'm supposed to check the paper, make sure the teachers marked the answers correctly, count our marks properly so that there won't be any mistake and... to beg the teachers for more marks! My friends and I would queue up and plead for at least one mark. One of my teachers didn't get the point - "Would half a mark count? In the end, it's still the same..."

I would retort, definitely! I totally disagree! A mark is all it is between a pass and a fail. All day long we would try to find some excuses to get more marks... hehehe...

We will get our report books on Friday... Parents have to come to school, too. ugh. Our teachers want to 'talk' to our parents about our school work and progress in school... So not looking forward to this Friday...

Anyway, it's still three days away, I still have time to enjoy! ^^

Exams are finally over!!! YAY!!! I'm so happy! I ate ice-cream on the way home from school - so did all of my friends... We celebrated by eating ice-cream... I'm have to spend a lot of time going through my e-mails... so many... ^^

The Keys to Your Heart

You are attracted to those who have a split personality - cold as ice on the outside but hot as fire in the heart.

In love, you feel the most alive when things are straight-forward, and you're told that you're loved.

You'd like to your lover to think you are stylish and alluring.

You would be forced to break up with someone who was insecure and in constant need of reassurance.

Your ideal relationship is open. Both of you can talk about everything... no secrets.

Your risk of cheating is low. Even if you're tempted, you'd try hard not to do it.

You think of marriage as something precious. You'll treasure marriage and treat it as sacred.

In this moment, you think of love as something you can get or discard anytime. You're feeling self centered.

Exams end tomorrow. Yay! I only have my chemistry practical tomorrow. Then it's holiday!!! Well, not really, I have to go to school for the whole of next week - to get my papers back, then on Friday, I'll receive my results. THEN, it's holiday. HEHEHE. Going crazy... I'm so excited that exams are going to end soon!!!

Can't wait for the holidays... I can stay up all night to watch Shaman King! Yay! And watch those VCDs I borrowed from my friend... It'll be a T.V. marathon once school ends. hahaha....

Okay, before I get carried away, I'd better go study for my chemistry practical... I hope nothing spills this time. And I pray that I won't blow up the science lab... ^^

It's the weekend! WEEKEND!!!!

Ah, joy!!! Two days of relaxation... After all those studying and exams... I need a break.

I just finished my Biology practical... It sucked, I tell you. It really did. I couldn't get an accurate answer for almost everything. The colours all looked the same. I wasn't sure whether it was brown or red. Of all of the food tests that I did, I'm only confident of three.

It was a total disaster.

First, I ran out of the solution which my teacher provided and because of that, I couldn't do the test properly - I made up my own story; I wrote whatever I thought will happened... I created a whole new story. I wanted to ask my teacher for more of the solution, but there wasn't enough time to heat it and make my records.

That wasn't so bad, one will have to get stuck somewhere, right? But the most stupidest thing happened. Worse, it was all my fault.

A beaker filled with WATER which I was heating fell. Right on top of the flame. The bunsen burner was totally wet. The water wet my whole table, and my paper was totally wet. I was a bit surprised - how did THAT happened?! But I reacted quickly and turned off the gas. I grabbed a towel and wiped the table. Good thing I reacted fast - I wonder what would've happened if I didn't turn off the gas. Would the thing have exploded? I don't want to ever find out.

Anyway, that's not the only mishap. I couldn't open the bottle of iodine. I really couldn't. I didn't know how to. The bottle was weird - I had never seen anything like it. I asked my friend beside me to open mine for me. Imagine what would happen if I couldn't open the bottle of iodine... It was an important element to the experiments. Without it, I couldn't do the starch test.

Then, there was this question at the back of the paper - something about hydrogen peroxide. It was a give away question. A free mark thing. And I couldn't remember the answer. I was such an idiot. It was totally wasted!

It was a total disaster - I was pretty bummed out. Then I realised that today's Friday the thirteen. Is this an unlucky day or what? I don't believe in superstitions, I believe in logic.

As my friends and I were walking to the bus stop, we got ice-cream at a street vendor. My friend treated me to ice-cream. That was the highlight of the whole day. ^__^

I felt a bit better after that. Now, what's done is done. I can't change the past - I can just concentrate on the future...

I'll work harder next time. ^__^

I had a terrible day. I sucked at my Biology exam today. Maybe because I didn't study about the enzymes part properly, but hey - how was I suppose to know that is so important... ugh.

Anyway, the rest of my exams are academic based. Except for a couple. I can relax a bit... My sister is hopeless at telling me what to study - like which parts are important and stuff... But on the other hand, my sister's quite okay...

I have already received the permission slip for my parents to sign for my school camp. I have to pay $30. 30 whole dollars - I could buy at least FOUR mangas!!! Good thing my father paid for it... ^^

Well, got to go... I've got English Paper Two and Arabic Paper Two tomorrow... I don't really need to study for them, but hey - no harm in opening my notes.

Later!

I'm taking a break from studying, but only for a little while, to check my mail and stuff. I can't believe I've gone for a week without the Net... I can't believe it... a record. ^^

The first week of exams have passed... I still have two weeks to go... Lots of stuff to memorise... Ugh. But now, I'll go have a bit of fun...

Spanish, anyone?

I was reading the Mediator, and I really want to know what 'querida' means. If you went to my sister's site, I'm sure you know that she asked the same question, but I thought maybe I should try asking again... If none of you knows, I guess I'll have to look for the answer elsewhere...

I'm in the middle of exams... Going back to studying now....

I am currently at the said workshop. We're having a break right now. I am eating a funny tasting chocolate. I don't know what it is...

Anyway, thought I'd post a message during this break time... Bye!
