Still sick...gah when will it end~! I'm supposed to be going up to Austin on Monday and Tuesday to look at apartments but if things are still going like they are then I won't be able to go which means I won't be able to move up there with my friend and her mom which also means that they might have to end up staying here in Corpus not a bad thing it's just I don't want to be resented for this especially since I only won't be able to make it up there since I'm currently still sick. As it is I'm still a bit if-y on moving up there I mean yes I do need a change of scenery and to get away from my family but I also just want to stay in Corpus since....and it's sad to say but everything I know is here....and I don't like to be that far away from the water.
In other news....did I mention my Tactics box set FINALLLY came in X3 It's so sexy although I would have changed the glossy parts of the artbox to be the matted parts. Seriously it makes it feel weird that it is glossy on the text parts yet matted on the art parts, if it would have been reversed it would feel better yet still have that weird texture to it. Also last Friday I got in Death Note: Another Novel The Los Angeles BB Murder Cases. If you are already a Death Note fan you should have already heard of it and probably already read it but in case you haven't yet YOU NEED TO PICK THIS UP. Beyond Birthday is awesome and there are funny little things that Nisioisin used from the manga/anime that Ohba and Obata put in as an afterthought why L does Capoeria.
Let's wrap this up since it's already gone on for too long....
LAS (Last Anime Seen): Rosario + Vampire....what do you do when you are the only human in a school for demons? Start up a harem of super hot demon chicks what else? Seriously though from ep 1 it'll have you hooked if you like demons, vampires, main character abuse, panty shots and/or some romantic cuteness.
So yeah I'm sick....been sick for like the past week and a half almost two weeks, flu FTL! So I've been entertaining myself mostly with catching up on some of the anime on my harddrive....and building up a collection of newer titles.
Recently I finished watching Gankutsuou (The Count of Monte Cristo) while I wasn't fond of the original ending it did end in a surprisingly upbeat way.
I've picked up Majin Tantei Nogami Neuro....which I must admit I started this series because of sexy Sai cosplayers on DA and well Romi Paku is Sai.....SO worth it though! Seriously this isn't your standard detective series in fact there is little in the story about actual deduction or real investigation instead you get a fun filled adventure of the great demon Neuro whom thinks that mysteries are nom-y in fact after consuming all the mysteries in the demon world comes up to the human world to solve more cases to suit his appetite...Neuro is also constantly abusing his human slaves....Slave Number One is Katsuragi Yako whom he claims to be who he works for the ace highschooler detective with the huge appetite, Slave Number Two is Godai a former loan shark. There is also Akane-chan the formerly deceased secretary whose main form is a single braid of hair. Seriously this show is tons of fun to watch and when Sai appears the story takes very dark turns XD
Let's see what else what else.....picked up Volume 10 of Ouran....if you are a fan of the Ouran anime seriously you need to be reading the manga already this is the second post anime volume not to mention there are all kinds of fun new things stirring up trouble...and feeling between the Hosts. Also when I finally made it out to the bookstore I got Death Note volume 13 How to Read and ordered Death Note: Another Novel since both chain bookstores that would carry it in town only had one copy sent to them the day of the release ><
Wednesday was my brother's birthday so we all went out to dinner then to Best Buy to get him an IPod since none of us had time, energy or in my case the money to get him a gift *not that my parents didn't take him gambling last weekend....when I got really sick* and for no other reason than being there my mom said I could pick out a DVD. I rushed to see if they had any copies of Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band but sadly the were out....they were even out of Across the Universe 'it's a conspiracy!' but since they were out of both of them I picked up BECK:Mongolian Chop Squad Volume 2...finally now only 4 more DVDs to go before I have that series complete...legally.
Oh today....like around midnight...ok last night Saffron and I were driving around the outskirts of town to get away for a while and we came across what I will now refer to as Goodbye Bunny Despair or Sayonara Zetsubou Usagi. It was horribly funny in that morbid kinda way. Well as we were driving in the outskirts we had a bunny cross our path when we were trying to not be hit by the ass behind us who was srsly speeding and we weren't sure if it had made it across or if we actually hit it so after driving a ways and the guy had finally turned we turned back *also to go back in the general direction of my house* and as we were about to cross the path where the bunny crossed us he dashed in front of our truck again >< "What if I had died!" I thought it was kinda funny. Anyways that has been the last two weeks....well I mean there was also some time on 4chan and icanhascheezburger but nothing really big.
LAS: Majin Tantei Nogami Neuro....did you really expect it to be anything else? lol
So after about another month of neglect I return to MyO to say sorry once again for the delay...and question what I have been doing with my time....so yeah new theme hopefully coming up soon...it all really depends on how Sasuke (laptop) and I are feeling in the next few days. I'll need to update/upload some of my new art one of which you can find in my DA.
So yeah this weekend about 5 of us girls made a little weekend trip up to Austin to go to Ikkicon. Saffron and I went to work/volunteer a the con, Chrislea went to sell her art and Yilma and Brit went to break their con cherries XD We all had a good time and a hard time for various reasons but it's all in the fun of the con yes.
Anyways while I was there I picked up Blanc et Noir (Takashi Obata's Artbook), a PVC Neoriod Reindeer L, two Gasphon Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuutsu girls, a Haruhi wallscroll, a Death Note wallscroll and a Death Note bag while I was there. I was given a Light and Ryuk print from Amelie's friend and won the new One Piece movie (which doesn't come out until next week officially and it's signed XD) for getting 2nd place in the AMV contest. Pictures of the stuff I picked up may be linked later as well as the AMV.
I got to hang out with some very cool people this weekend including a good number of VAs and a couple of the musical guests including Samantha Inoue-Hearte, Natz from Rusika and Aaron Dismuke who I think I may have just convinced to finally sit down and either read or watch Death Note.
School is killing me and the job hunt isn't fairing well either.

So work is fun and easy enough just torture on my legs....no worries it seems that I'm off for the rest of the week....except they tried calling me in tonight to come in and work a few hours...fortunately for myself I missed that call.
So apparently I made a C on the one class I stayed in this semester not horrible but I'm sure I probably could have done better...oh well.
Lately my biggest things to do have been sleep, work and stepmania....plus a bit of hanging out while I'm not passed out. Tonight was AMAZING!! A couple of months back I heard the Toadies were going to be in town and convinced a few other people to join us so from day one that tickets went on sale we had ours....seriously I was afraid that they were going to sell out. Then once I started working at the toy store I was afraid that I would be scheduled or called in to work....which I was technically called and asked to come in to work but I missed the call do to rocking out to Lions. Lions was the opening act and they were surprisingly awesome. Click Here to check out their myspace...and some of their songs. The next act was Girl in a Coma...they were alright sadly I think it probably would have been much better had the sound guy not been sucking. Then it was the Toadies and they rocked so hard. In case you've never heard/don't recall the Toadies Click Here to check out their myspace and a couple of their songs. I'm soooooo glad they reunited and that I got to see them LIVE! I was in the front row the whole concert and of course I had a great view of the entire stage but dear God being able to actually maintain eye contact with Clark (guitarist) XD Personally I think seeing the Toadies is the best concert I've EVER attended. Of course the crowd went NUTS when they played "I Come From the Water" and "Possum Kingdom"...which funny thing it was requested when Lions were playing lol. We even got two encores and much rocking love.....I wish I could properly explain just how much the show rocked but I think you'd really have to have been there to agree. Also don't be surprised if I actually put in some Lions and Toadies into my playlist...when I finally update things.
LAS is now changed to Last Series Finished or Random Anime Goodness (so LSF or RAG): Warning may include spoilers!
Today's LSF is School Days. School Days is based on an eroge (erotic/ecchi game) that is INFAMOUS for it's Bad Endings. Supposedly the story of the anime is taken from one of the worst possible endings. The anime starts off to be a pretty cute harem anime then near the end Makoto (main character) has had sex with nearly every female character in the series. Then comes one of the more fucked up endings...possibly ever...which of course is the part which most people know this series from...and 4chan users may remember as "Nice Boat".
Quick bit of clearing up things about Physics at my university. I've already attempted to take Physics twice first it was just General then University level, the problem both times is how the teachers taught the class and lab. Sadly enough the class is taught by the same two teachers the only thing is the at the General Level you get even less information during class because no one can understand a third of what the teacher says and at the University level you sometimes don't even get a lecture since the teacher has ten-year and will go on rants about anything he damn well pleases. So next semester to complete my basics and sciences I'm taking Astronomy.
In other news my one and only final is on Tuesdays I hope I don't completely bomb it @.@
OH! I also just landed myself a job at a local toy store.... it kinda sucks I can't legally put the name or even symbol since it's in our contracts we can't really talk about it in any kind of blog or chatty type of place. I'll be starting later in the week. Granted it's only seasonal work but it's an improvement from my recent year or so of freedom from the workplace...and it's something I haven't really done yet working retail especially in the crazy Christmas season.
Other things....well Dante is back from his "time away" and now things are really going to change, Saffron and I won't really be able to just hang out at the house all the time since Joe (roommate we would see/hang with the most) now has his other half back. Oh well I guess all good things must come to an end sometimes. Saturday we did have a return party which of course means even more drinking! I also got to finally play the Bleach game for the Wii XD It is a decent fighter in and of itself I mean nothing really special if you are just looking at attacks and design themselves but on the Wii it was SO much fun to play. It was great the second time I got to play it that night I had beat my friend who had been playing it most of the week from the time he first rented it. Then again he made the mistake of teaching me how to go Bankai after that he was dead.

Last Anime Seen: Death Note because strangely enough I haven't really sat down and watched any anime since anime club on Friday....and it's only Death Note since I decided to end on ep 25 and end the night with Death Note *kukukuku* hopefully next week I'll be able to have some fun new shows...well new for me any way to let you know about....and maybe a brief review of some other series I've recently finished in the past semester.
Nearly a full month later and what do I have to show for myself....new aches and pains but hey at least I'm in somewhat better spirits today than I was a few days back. Let us relive these past 23 days briefly.
Most of my time has been spent in one of three places at home, on campus and at Bunny's. I have been spending less and less time home with the exception of this week alone but that will come later. For the most part my friends and I have been trying to avoid me being home since things have become more strained I think the end of the semester nearing and holidays have something to do with the added friction.
The now brief time I spend on campus in class has made me feel a bit more at ease since I was forever missing lab so I dropped physics all together and will be attempting astronomy next semester hopefully I will get a teacher who is actually excited about astronomy and not another who has ten-year and will talk about whatever politics he or she pleases as my physics teacher and lab instructor liked to do.
To take up the time that I was supposed to be in physics class....since I have still neglected to tell my mother that I have dropped the class, I have taken up reading classical literature. I just finished reading The Count of Monte Cristo last week and have just started Virgil's Aenid. I was rather surprised by how The Count of Monte Cristo actually ended while it was sweet I was hoping for something a bit more epic and still along the lines of how things were looking to go.
Since things have been so strained I have been spending more and more time at Bunny's house...well it's more of a house where there are 6 paying roommates it's just I had met Bunny first so I call it his house even though it's one of the many roommates whom my best friend Saffron and I spend most of the day and night hanging out with watching movies and playing games and general hanging out with.
This past week however I have spent most of it at home and for good reason off and on all week I have been sick....and not wanting to leave bed. Tuesday I rented Guitar Hero 3 and invited a group of friends over and we played for hours and it was awesome. My favorite songs to play are "Suck My Kiss", the boss battle against Lou which is a rendition of "The Devil Went Down to Georgia" and I also really love playing "Welcome to the Jungle" and I have still yet to complete "Through Fire and Flames" but is it amazing to see someone play it on Hard and ROFL when he attempts to do it on Expert after failing so badly on Hard. Got to play Rock Band for a while on Friday while making the second and last turkey of the week for a Rinoa's Thanksgiving feast.
Oh in other news due to circumstances I shall not repeat I along with most of the committee will no longer be doing RealmsCon but we are trying to start up another con here in town....possibly....but enough of that this post has already gone on for way too long...on to LAS
Last Anime Seen: Death Note....yup I was watching Adult Swim and tuned in just in time to watch dubbed Death Note. To make things worse it was the episode when we first really see L. I seriously don't know whose voice is worse in the dub L or Light....not to even mention the hundreds of errors in just an episodes script. I'm somewhat glad I'm usually not home on Saturdays now so I won't have to go through the misfortune of happening to find myself watching dubbed Death Note.
So it's been a massively long time since my last posting. What can I say things have been "interesting" around here lately and yet not really anything has been happening. My mom has been going back and forth with trying to get rid of me and wanting me to stay around. Still looking for a job. Also I've been spending a LOT of time away from home.
Picked up gaming again, right now I'm attempting to do two D&D games only the GM for one of them is almost never prepared so we only really do one in which we are basically playing as gladiators.
Halloween was fun...well not the day itself but the pre-holiday party was AWESOME!! This year Saffron and I dressed up as pirates...but not just any pirates but the captain and first mate/sex pirate of the failboat. Yes the failboat because together with another one of our friends we become even more clumsy and generally fail than usual. We also started a bra and boxer wall that night. We liberated 2 men of their boxers and were given 2 boxers, 2 bras and a thong. I got so drunk I was very silly, I mean silly...it was great though the more I'd drink the more pirate-ish I became. Oh and the highlight of the night was getting a NEET/hikkimori friend to come out and join us for a few hours of the night....with the temptation of Stepmania on a projector.
Last Anime Seen: Hmm...I think honestly the last anime seen for me is either checking out brief snippets of Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei ep 9 for club tomorrow if not then it was watching Death Note last week in club.
...I'm not dead. OH and I'm in trouble with my mom.
Well first things first RealmsCon was a success we actually made a small profit this year but even better is how many people have been saying that this year was AWESOME. Yes we ended up not having all our guests show up due to cars failing, family problems and them falling off this side of the planet but still we managed to have only a few things go wrong. For my tech work...*I usually have no idea about tech* Greg gave me a limited edition Beck poster and signed it "Rachel-LiveXLoveXRock

After the con I've been trying hard to focus on my school work...for the most part that is going over well except for the second time since the con I've slept through one of my classes...and it's not like I try to miss it...it just happens sometimes. Mom is already saying I should just drop all my classes and get her money back and that I'm a worthless child once again =/ then Saffron called me and propositioned me to move in with her and potentially 1 or 2 more people in a few months. Looks like the job hunting will get very serious now.
Last Anime Seen: ...um does listening to FMA on tv count...no didn't think so...It's actually been a while since I've sat down and watched anime....but I have been reading the manga for Gantz. I am now on volume 22 (or Phase 2) OMG~! The Osaka team is insane and while I wasn't overly fond of the vampire angle to begin with it is progressing to be rather interesting but they really need to bring back Kei. Also while at first it made me drop my jaw that they included a toddler in the game, I think it is adorable how Kaze is raising him now and Takeshi is actually figthing aliens....he'll get 100 pts in no time.....actually with the crazy amount of aliens in this round I'm sure everyone can do it.
It makes me all kinds of happy to see everything on my table. Personally I walked away with some overdue/back payment for working and putting so much time and money into the con....by way of SWAG....rockin'.
Next post will probably be some pics and aftermath rant about RealmsCon and then I can go back to complaining about school and my family....j/k....somewhat.
