Time of post: 12:00 AM

Hey everyone. I'm here in Pittsburgh on a visit to Carnegie Mellon. Sorry I haven't posted recently but with the play approaching, I've been extremely busy. Surprisingly though, I haven't had too much homework which has been nice ^_^

I'm sorry for being so completely inactive on this site though. It's not that I don't want to be here. It's just hard for me to find the time. And I know I'll probably get the usual "It's alright" and I thank you for that but I felt I had to do this either way.

I can't really think of anything else to say right now. I'll try to get to some of your sites if you post pretty close to midnight but as I'm on the wireless card (not regular wireless network - this one works anywhere in the continental US at 230.4k which is about four times faster than dial-up), the pages load rather slowly and sometimes not at all. Oh, and if I haven't gotten back to your guestbook entry yet, I'll be doing that in a couple of minutes. Sorry for the delay.

So, that's really about it. Thanks for reading and have a great day!

Edit: 3:45 PM
Oh yeah, I forgot last night. Thank you all so much for 3000+ hits! I'd have a picture but I'm on the road at the moment.

And to make SomeGuy happy, I'll mention this: Since it is Thursday, I would be getting General Tso's if it was the summer. Unfortunately, I have not had General Tso's chicken from Village Gourmet in a while. It's too hard to get during school, though I have tried. There you go SG, I hope this post seems more complete to you now ^_^

Time of post: 4:03 AM

Hey everyone. I know I haven't posted in a while and I'm sorry. The play, while it has been coming along nicely, has been taking up pretty much all of my free time. After it's over, I should have a bit more time to spend here (I hope).

Other than that, not much else has been going on. I was at my friend's Halloween party tonight which was pretty fun. A bunch of us just hung out for a while. We (Jesse and I - Jesse was driving) almost got lost on both the way there and the way back. We eventually got to where we needed to be though.

I think that's really about it for tonight. Thanks for reading and have a great day!

Time of post: 11:43 AM

Hey everyone. I'm so sorry for my complete inactivity on this site. I don't really have much an excuse for not posting often. I guess it's just the combination of school and the rehearsal for the play that's keeping me away from here. I will try to post and visit more though because I do miss all of you.

So much has happened since my last post that I have quite a bit to say. I'll just go with the highlights though.

First, rehearsal has really been going good. The play is starting to come together since we've taken a new route to laying it out. I also started taking the head shots for the program on Friday. I hope that we'll have some real light in the auditorium soon so I can take rehearsal shots too.

Next, Budokai Tenkaichi. I got the game the day it came out as a birthday present and I must say, it is amazing. I loved Budokai 3 and I thought Tenkaichi would be good but I didn't think it would be this good.

And while we're on the subject of video games, I'm very happy to say that I got a job at GameStop ^__^ I've wanted to work there since the one in my town (or really, just outside my town) opened. It starts as a temporary holiday position but the manager said he would be looking to keep someone on after the holiday season. I am hoping to stay but we'll see how it goes.

And finally, while we're on the subject of GameStop, something amazing happened there yesterday. Jesse and I were bored so we figured we go to GameStop. We were looking around and found a bunch of old, not-so-great games we wanted to trade in. My brother gave us some of his bad games as well. We expected to make $50 at most from all of that. Our actual total? $127.70! We couldn't believe it. I had a coupon for buy two used games get one free which we were going to use. That ended up turning into a buy four used games get two free coupon ^_^ After a slight mishap of buying a duplicate game (I thought I was looking for part 3 but it turned out I needed part 2 of the .hack games), we sorted everything out and both went home with some good stuff. Here's a run-down of the greatness:
  1. We made $127.70 off of mostly bad games (in store credit - which is a good thing as you'll soon see). That would have been less but because of a discount card I have there, we got 10% on each item we traded in ^_^
  2. We now had enough to buy four games instead of our intended two.
  3. Because we were paying in store credit, the entire purchase was completely tax free.
  4. With that same discount card I mentioned before, we also got 10% off of the entire purchase.
  5. Finally, as I picked up one of the games I was getting, one of the employees we know pretty well there went into the back room and handed both of use Ninja Gaiden Black (the game I was getting) shirts, for free. The thing that made this so great was that we didn't reserve the game, or even buy it new. We bought it used. We think the shirts were given to the employees but I guess since he knows us, he gave us a couple of the extras. So, that worked out great.
As you can see, it was an amazing day at GameStop for everyone, except the person running the register. The trade-in and purchase were originally supposed to be one big transaction. Unfortunately, they can only put 30 items on one transaction and with our second free game (thanks to the coupon), it brought the total up to 31. Hehe, so he had to split it into two separate transactions. It was interesting though.

Anyway, I should get going because we're leaving to get some pumpkins from a pumpkin patch (a yearly tradition) soon.

This got a bit longer than I expected. Sorry about that. Thanks for reading and have a great day! I'll try to get around to some sites when I get back.

Time of post: 12:05 AM

Hey everyone. I had a great birthday and most of that was due to you, my friends on myOtaku. It's days like today that remind me why I love this site so much. When people you only know online, and even some friends of friends, stop by to say happy birthday, it just makes me feel really happy. That's the feeling I carried with me today so thank you all ^__^ (Yes, a little bit on the sappy side but who cares, it's the truth.)

As for the actual day, it went pretty well. I didn't have too much homework and the classes themselves were easy enough today. Lucky, I understand what we're doing in Pre-Calculus so even that was easy today (we're graphing sin and cos curves if any of you are interested).

Rehearsal has been going just as well. After a slight mishap yesterday, we re-blocked the opening scene and it looks so much better. If any of you happen to be in my area, I encourage you to come see it. The play is A Christmas Carol and it will be preformed November 19 and 20. Hehe, of course, I don't actually expect any of you to fly out to New Jersey for this but it would be pretty cool to meet someone there if they lived close enough.

Here are some birthday cards I was sent today:

Alexa
*hugs* Thanks Alexa! I knew you'd eventually find a way to get me to put up some yaoi ;)

indifference
Thank you so much indifference! I really appreciate it ^_^

SunfallE
Remember when I mentioned one of those people who I didn't know who stopped by anyway. Well here is one of them. SunfallE, thank you so much!

I wasn't sure if you wanted me using your real names or not so I stuck to myOtaku names (with the exception of Alexa as she put it on the card, and I'm pretty sure she doesn't mind). Anyway, that's about all for me today. Thank you all so much! Have a great day!

Edit: Sometime around 9:00 AM (forgot to add the time earlier)
Here's one more card ^_^

shizuka
Thanks shizuka, I love it!

Time of post: 2:56 AM

Hey everyone. My activity on this site (all of myOtaku) has been decreasing steadily and I really don't like that. I've been really busy lately though... I am sorry about not being able to visit, or even post for that matter).

Anyway, since the play started at school, I haven't been getting home until around 5:30 but it's been fun. We're doing A Christmas Carol this year. I'm not actually in the play as an actor but I am the Stage Manager and the photographer.

Other than that, it's really just been a lot of the same - school work. My schedule is packed this year which fills my time pretty well.

Speaking of the school though, I hate the people in charge of making the schedules. My birthday is on Tuesday but I have to wait until November 21 until I can get my license. Why? Because the school decided to give me Drivers Ed. in January instead of September. Oh well, it's not that much longer.

So, that's pretty much it. I'm sure there was more I planned to say but I can't think of it right now. Thanks for reading and have a great day!

Time of post: 12:11 AM

Hey everyone. I'm really sorry for my lack of all activity on this site over the last few weeks. I have just had so little time that I couldn't really make it here at all. I hope I can get back here regularly again soon.

Anyway, my weekend was pretty good. I almost met Shigeru Miyamoto on Sunday. There's a long story behind the almost though. If you'd like to read it, just go here and read that post. I'd re-type it but I'm sort of tired.

Anyway, that's about all for tonight. Thanks for sticking with me through all of my absence. Have a great day!

Time of post: 12:03 PM

Hey everyone. I'm sorry for my lack of posting recently. This is probably how it's going to be for a while though because I have a pretty busy year. And on that note, I'm really sorry in advance for not visiting. I'll try to get around to some sites when I can but I don't know how often that will be.

My weekend has been good. It's weird how differently time passes on the weekend compared to the week though. It felt like this past school week would drag on forever but the weekend flew by in what felt like minutes.

Anyway, that's really about all. So, thanks for reading and have a great day!

Time of post: 12:05 AM

Hey everyone. I'm really just stopping in to say hi and show you that I'm not dead ^_^ I haven't really had much time since school started again but hopefully that will change.

School hasn't been too bad though. My schedule is sort of busy but there are some interesting classes. Hehe, my Advanced Web Page Design class doesn't even have working computers yet though due to construction. So, we (all five people in the class) have been moving computers and monitors and other accessories back into the room since Monday. Two other people and I got to roam around the building and take pictures for the ninth grade orientation over the last two days though which has been fun.

Anyway, that's really all for today. Thanks for reading, sorry I haven't been around, and have a great day!

Time of post: 2:52 AM

Hey everyone. Today turned out pretty well, even though it was basically my last day of summer. Of course, I don't start until Monday but tomorrow will be spent doing school work that was assigned for the summer...

Anyway, I woke up and played Guild Wars for a while. I found a good group of people to play with and ended up having a lot of fun doing the bonus for "The Wilds" story mission. I stopped after that because I thought I'd start some of that school work which I didn't end up doing.

Later on, we ended up going to Chili's for dinner. It was another random "let's go out to dinner" situation and my grandmother came this time. It was a good dinner, though usually going out ends up being good.

After that, Jesse came over for like 10 minutes because we were going to work on one of the projects that we both have to do. We couldn't find the movie (Black Hawk Down) though so he ended up going home because he was tired. I'll end up finding it and doing the project tomorrow.

After that, I ended up going over to Walter's house to hang out for a few hours. We played some Budokai 3 which we haven't done for a while so that was fun. We also continued trying to fix his computer but it's still being stupid. It can see that the modem is there but for some reason, it can't communicate with it...

Anyway, that's about all for today. Thanks for reading and have a great day!

Time of post: 1:14 AM

Hey everyone. Not much has really been going on recently. I've just been hanging out with friends. We've been having a good time though.

Today, they called me at around 2:30 (not more than a minute after I woke up) and started heading over to my house. It managed to take them forever but they finally got here.

So, we played some Super Smash Bros. Melee for a while. Then, one of them had to go. We were going to walk her home but her dad called and told her to meet him at the high school (which is just around the corner) right away. So, she ran ahead and we headed back.

We spend a while trying to figure out what to do. In the end it got late enough where we decided to go and get some Chinese for dinner. We tried a new place that just opened recently which was good.

From there, we just sort of hung out on Park Ave. until we had to go home. And that was pretty much it.

So, thanks for reading and have a great day!
