Posted: Monday at 12:44 AM

Hey everyone. I guess you're all kind of wondering why I started posting again and then suddenly stopped. Well, Tuesday of last week, I got sick. It didn't seem too serious at the time so I just went to bed early. I stayed in bed for the next two days though. Remember, I was still in Massachusetts at the time so it wasn't exactly comfortable there.

On the night of the second day, I went to the Emergency Room and they told me it was an upper respiratory infection. I called my mom, the next day, she picked me up, and we went to another local ER for a second opinion. They told me the same thing but went a step further and took a chest x-ray. They said there was the beginnings or pneumonia but they gave me some antibiotics to keep it from actually progressing.

So, I'm feeling a lot better now - all that's left is a cough. Hopefully, this will all be gone in the next day or two. Now on to more important things though.

In case you hadn't figured it out yet, not much of interest has been going on. It's been a lot of laying around. While I was still at WPI (the college I was at for the program), it was horribly boring. Now that I'm home, at least there's TV. I'm disappointed that I had to miss the rest of the program though. I was having a really good time and looking forward to seeing how everything we were working on would turn out. But oh well, it's better to be home and better than there and miserable.

Oh, and I'm back to the blue layout, which some of you may remember, only temporarily. Alexa and I are working on finally changing my layout (and to an anime based one this time ^_^). So expect it to change some time tonight or tomorrow depending on how long it takes.

Other than that though, not much is going on so as usual, thanks for reading and have a great day!

Posted: Tuesday at 12:16 AM

Hey everyone. It looks like this will be a post for yesterday again. Remember, once I'm home, all of my posts will be for the day before they are shown unless otherwise stated. Though on that note, I'm going to start a new system. My subject will now contain what day the post is for from now on. For instance, today's post is labeled as Tuesday, even though it will show up as Wednesday.

Anyway, today went well. I got the package containing my laptop charger (among other things) today. For whatever reason, my charger wasn't in the case when I left so my dad overnighted it to me (through the company ^_^). It's great having it back though because now I can at least post form the room.

Other than that, the classes are actually pretty fun. In Interactive Media and Game Development (IMGD), we worked on some tutorials which included Pong for the first half. From there, in the Drama class, we read through our scripts for the first time. And in the second half of the IMGD class (there's two sessions of that per day), we actually played an Alternate Reality Game (ARG). The concept of an ARG is very difficult to explain in words so if you're at all interested in finding out it what it is, here - it's a link to the game we played today. Be warned though, this is not an ordinary game - there are no rules, no defined way to play. You must figure it out as you progress.

Unfortunately, and I'm sorry to say this, it would appear visiting sites is almost out of the question while I'm here. If I have any free time, I'll try to get to myO but the days are pretty well packed. The only time I have is before any posts are made for the day so that makes it sort of difficult.

So that's about it for tonight I guess. As always, thanks for continuing to visit and have a great day!

P.S. To attempt to make up for my absence on your sites, I will post a link to my finished game, which will be in a series of games (a pseudo-ARG but easier) when it is complete, if anyone is interested of course.

Time of post: 6:34 PM

Hey everyone. Sorry this post is so late but I was extremely tired last night (I was going on an hour and a half of sleep). I figured I'd still check in though.

Oh, and by the way, this post is actually for today, not yesterday as my posts usually are. A quick run-down of yesterday though: We got here, went through the introductions, parents left, we had a barbecue, there was a picture scavenger hunt, some meetings, and then finally bed.

So, after my first day of classes, I do like the program. The Interactive Media and Game Development class seems like it will be fun. And the Drama/Theatre class does as well so at least it will be an entertaining two weeks.

On the down side though, my internet access is fairly limited. For some reason, we're not allowed to connect to their network with our computers. So I'm falling back on my own wireless access but it's nowhere near as fast as a normal connection. Because of that, visiting your sites may prove difficult until I get home, but I will try. I just won't be able to try until later in the night.

There is one other option though - the school has labs that are open to the students (I'm in one now but I can't stay at the moment). If I can just find a lab I can use, I'll have a fast connection and should be able to use myO without a problem. We'll see how it goes though.

Anyway, that's about it for tonight. Have a great day!

Time of post: 1:23 AM

Hey. This should be a fairly quick post as I have to be up in less than five hours.

Today was really fairly uneventful. I played Oblivion for a while but that was really it besides the packing.

I'd just like to thank you for the well wishes on the job. When I went back and talked to them, they said to call when I got back but the chances of there still being an open position were not good. So, chances are, I won't be getting it unless someone quits or is let go. Oh well, I'll just have to keep looking.

That's it for tonight though. See you either tomorrow or in two weeks and have a great day!

Time of post: 12:55 AM

Hey everyone! How are you all doing today? My day wasn't bad, though it was pretty busy. It was fun though.

The day started off with my interview at Staples. The interview actually went really well and I think I have a good shot at the job. Or at least that's what I thought until I got back to my car. I was asked to come back for a second interview with management and sales on Monday. Of course, since it's summer, I figured that wouldn't be a problem. What I forgot at the time is the two weeks I'll be gone for starting Sunday... Unfortunately, this pretty much destroys any chance of actually getting the job now.

From there, Erik came over and we finished up with his computer. That took about an hour which was perfect because at three, my SAT math tutor came for an hour. I'm finally getting the hang of graphs, which is good.

Following that, we got a call from Jessica, Erik's girlfriend. Unfortunately, it seems she broke her foot. She works as a life guard and jumped off of her life guard chair into the three-foot pool to save a little girl. In the process, she landed weird and potentially broke her foot. Though that's not definite yet, though we're not optimistic.

To end the day of not so great events, I was able to diagnose the problem with the computer I am fixing. There was a hardware failure and to make a long story short, she'll need to get a new computer. The failure wasn't my fault but it's still pretty annoying.

Oddly enough though, even with all of the minor set-backs, the day was good. I added a few thousand songs to my library (Erik gave me all of his music). While we were copying everything, we started going through some random songs which proved to be entertaining. Weird Al is awesome ^_^

And that's really about it. Tomorrow is my last day here and then, pending conditions at the college, I may or may not be seen much for the next two weeks. Anyway, have a great day!

Time of post: 12:45 AM

Hey everyone. Today turned out well. It started out with a trip to pick up some supplies for my trip. These were very much needed so it's a good thing I got them today ^_^

From there, I went over to Erik's house to await his new laptop. After quite a while, it finally came and we packed up his old computer and the laptop and went to my house to begin a very long process. There were a few things we had to do. First, we had to get all of the music (a little over four thousand songs) from the old computer to the laptop. We also had to rebuild the new laptop because of all of the garbage software that came preinstalled. Finally, I had to finish up a computer for a friend of his family - it was in pretty bad shape and they are paying to fix it. I'm currently finishing that part up.

Back at Erik's house though, there was a small barbecue/birthday party. There were around ten of us there. We had burgers and ice cream cake. The cake was near impossible to cut at first and one of the other people there ended up breaking a knife on it, which I must say was pretty funny.

Finally, I have an interview at Staples tomorrow. This is good news as I may have finally found a steady job (assuming I get it). The computer fixing has been good but it's more freelance than anything else. So yeah, we'll see how that goes tomorrow.

That's really about it for tonight. Thanks for reading and have a great day!

Time of post: 12:42 AM

Hey everyone. I guess we'll go with a real update tonight. But before that, I'd just like to thank you all for the warm welcome back. It means a lot to me that you'd all continue to visit, even though I've been gone for so long so thanks ^_^

You really haven't missed much concerning my life though. Since school ended, I've been doing almost nothing. I did finally get around to starting The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion though and I'm completely hooked. Besides that, I've really just been hanging out with friends.

And speaking of friends, I've got an interesting story concerning one of them. A while ago, I finally bought a real katana (Samurai sword for those who don't know). Well, it seems real anyway, I got it on eBay for $50 so I'm not sure if it's actually "real" but it's sharp and cuts so that's enough for me. Anyway, my friend wanted to try cutting through a plastic bottle after seeing one that I cut in half. So we go outside and I get ready to throw the bottle up for him. What I didn't realize was he was in a baseball stance though - not too smart when holding a sword. His left knee was out and when he swung down, he hit his knee, giving him a good quarter inch deep gash. He said it didn't really hurt and luckily, he stopped swinging before it went any deeper. And for any concerned, he's fine. But yeah, that's the interesting friend story.

There are only a couple of other things of interest going on soon. First, my friend from Ireland is coming. Originally, he was supposed to be here on the 17th but he may or may not have arrived in the U.S. today, though not in my town yet.

The other thing is on Sunday, I'll be leaving for two weeks for a summer program at Worcester Poly-Technic Institute. It's a two week course, one week of which will be interactive media and game design. That should end up being pretty interesting. Don't worry though, I'll have the laptop with me and there should be some down time. I'm still not sure how internet access is going to be though because they said for security reasons (or something like that), they have it turned off for the dorms in the summer.

Oh, and my new music (now in my intro), which is not up yet but will be soon, is from some show called LazyTown that I just found out about tonight. I just thought the song was funny so I figured I'd put it up - it's about time for a change anyway.

So yeah, that's about it. I feel like I forgot something but I guess not. Anyway, thanks again for the welcome back and have a great day!

Time of post: 1:51 AM

Well, I think it may be time I return to this site. I've missed it, and all of you who I don't talk to regularly, quite a bit so it will be good to be back... I hope (this is actually a pretty busy summer).

Nothing update-wise tonight besides that though. Have a great day and happy 4th of July!

Time of post: 12:33 AM

Hey everyone. It's been a while since I've posted. Sorry about that. And to those few new guestbook entries that I haven't returned yet, I should be taking care of that tonight.

This weekend has been great. I made the most amazing purchase this weekend. Sam Goody is going out of business and they had a massive sale. Everything in the store was 90-95% off during the last day. More importantly though, they were also selling all of the fixtures in the store as well. The first sign I saw for the fixtures said $160 so obviously, I just ignored it. On the last day though, I decided to ask how much it was. To make a long story short, I got one of the wall fixtures for $5 and now have a lot more room for my stuff ^_^

One thing went slightly wrong - I needed another inch where I was going to put the rack. It was just barely too big. So my friend who was with me at the time came back to my house and we found a metal saw and cut small portion of the metal bar on the side out and now it fits perfectly. It's so nice when things work out the way they're supposed to.

And to make things better, spring break is finally here for me so I'm off for the week. I'm not going anywhere right away but I am visiting Cornelle up in Ithica, NY on Thursday and Friday so that should be fun.

Hmm... that's really all I can think of right now. I thought I had more to say but I guess not. As usual, if I do think of anything else, it will be either added or posted next time.

So, thanks for continuing to visit and comment. Hopefully I should have quite a bit of free time to do the same this week. Have a great night/day!

Edit: Somewhere around 1:00 AM (I forgot to add this before I submitted the post.)
Well, I'm back because I remember what I forgot to mention before - my trip to Medieval Times on Friday. For those of you who don't know what Medieval Times is, click here, to find out.

Anyway, remember the choreographer I mentioned from the musical? Well throughout the production, we became pretty good friends. She happens to be the Princess there and sent the Tinman, Scarecrow, Lion, and me tickets to Medieval Times to see here there. After working out a date, we finally went on Friday and it was awesome.

There's one detail I'd like to mention. During the course of the night, there are contests held for the six knights to compete in. At the end of each of the four contests, the Princess throws flowers to the winning knights. Following the final contest, still during the show with the spotlight on her, she turned to my friends and me (we were sitting directly next to the stage) and gave us each a flower. This really ended up making my night for two reasons. First, it was obviously very sweet of her to think of us even while doing the show. Second though was that of the 1,346 other people there, at least one person must have said "What makes them so special?" ^_^ Like I said, it was still during the show so thinking about that and the fact that we were there because we were invited by the Princess herself (you can't help but get into the medieval spirit while you're there) made for a very nice moment, and more so, a very nice night.

Now, I've been there before, quite a few times actually, but this is by far the best experience I've ever had there. We got reserved seats and some other nice benefits. Plus, the thought of knowing the Princess while we were there was a very fun one ^_^

There's a lot to tell but that's the important stuff.

So again, have a great night/day!

Time of post: 3:36 PM

Hey everyone. Today is a sort of bitter-sweet day. As I write this, I'm thinking about the amazing success of our musical, The Wizard of Oz. The show opened Friday night and was performed on Saturday as well. We sold out completely on both nights. Everything came together amazingly and I have not heard a single negative comment about the show from anyone. So, there's the sweet part of bitter-sweet combination.

The bitter part comes in knowing that it's over. While there were some hard times along the way, in the end, it's always a lot of fun and I'm going to miss that. I don't know what I'm going to do with myself after school now. I do have a plan with one of the other cast members though.

We were both thinking the same thing when she brought it up - we want to avoid what usually happens at the end of one of these productions. What always seems to happen is that you're friends during the show and then you never see each other again and I can't figure out why that seems to be. We plan to put a stop to that this time around though so hopefully the end of the show won't mean the end of the group too.

Other than that, I've been doing pretty good. I didn't have to go to any classes other than gym on Thursday and Friday (though gym was only on Thursday). I was making the Playbills so a bunch of us got out of classes for the day which was a lot of fun. Luckily, I don't really have too much work to make up either. I've got a project in U.S. History due but I'm hoping she'll give me an extra day as I've had absolutely no time to work on it. It's only a PowerPoint presentation though so it shouldn't take long.

In the video game world, I got Tetris DS and Oblivion. Tetris is awesome and I haven't had time to try Oblivion yet but I've heard from reliable sources that it's amazing. It seems like it should be pretty fun.

Oh, and if anyone decided to try that tutorial, could you let me know. I've been dying for some feedback on it for a while. Thanks.

Well, that about wraps it up for me considering I can't think of much else to say. If I forgot anything, I'll try to mention it next time (which hopefully won't be as long in between as this one was). Again, I'm sorry for the lack of activity but it was all for a worthy cause ^_^ Have a great day!
