Stuck To My Katamari: Kon and Cold Medicine

Current Mood: Invisible

Well, I have a cold. My nose is either running like crazy or completely stuffed up. Either way I can't breathe very well. I took some cold medicine and it's made me feel all wacky. I did manage to finish the Kon plushie I've been working on for the past couple of weeks. He will make his debut at Anime Expo this summer. Lots of people told me after seeing my Claude purse I need to make a Nova. Maybe if I get really motivated I'll make Rinrin too, but I am not sure if I will. It would be nice to have all the Mod Souls from Bleach but she looks a bit more difficult to make. Right now I'm way to unmotivated to think about it. Well, here's a couple of Kon pictures:

Oops! Kon's tripped over Hanatarou's bag!

Kon looks happy to see you!

I really don't like the way the Xiao Mei plushie turned out so I am going to do a second panda plushie. Hopefully this second one will look better. I need to have her done by AX so I guess I need to get motivated soon. But first I need to get rid of this stupid head cold. I am so sleepy right now. I guess I'll call it a day.

I'll leave you guys with another question: Can you sew?

I'm sure you guys can guess by looking at Kon if I can sew or not. I make all my plushies by hand sewing them. With my RA it takes me 5 times as long as it use to. That's a bit discouraging but I still have fun crafting and I think that is the important thing. ^_^

Stuck To My Katamari: Birthday Party & Tequila

Current Mood: Well Rounded.

As Kakashi would say: Sorry I'm late, I got lost on the road of life. You know how it goes, something comes up...then something else...then another thing and before you know it a week has flown by and you realize that you have been neglecting things like your blog. >_<;; Sorry all!

So, in my very busy agenda was celebrating John's birthday on May 7th. This, of course, comes on the heels of our annual Cinco de Mayo celebration. Both were filled with lots of food, drink and fun. Waaaaay too much food. Probably too much drink too. But you know, you can never have too much fun! lol

You know how there are "wine snobs" out there. Well, John and I have kinda become "Tequila snobs". We have probably partaken in every kind of tequila out there...yes, even Mezcal con gusano! This weekend we tried the new Cuervo Black Medallion. It has a bit of a woody flavor to it. The Cuervo Black doesn't have the bite that some Tequilas have. Ok, that is enough booze talk since lots of people hate tequila and most of you aren't old enough to drink anyway! Don't drink until you are old enough and even then don't over do it!

I guess that is about it for now. I just wanted to let you guys know that I am still alive and kickin'. Hope all is well and life is good. I'll leave you guys with another question:

What was the very last article of clothing you purchased or received?

This is pretty sad but the last article of clothing I received was a free t-shirt from John's company. The corporate office sends out these promo shirts with the company name and stuff on them to give out to clients. I ended up getting on when I went in to the office with John over the weekend. It's a good quality shirt and all but it is promo material. I guess it's ok, I goes along with the keychain and mug I got from them. Sheesh, I am a walking advertisement. :: drinks promotional mug :: Ah, corporate fresh!

Stuck To My Katamari: Bamboo & Peanut Butter Cups.

Current Mood: Berry Happy

As you all know I went on a little shopping excursion with my friends the other day. Well, I ended up buying my very first (I know this is hard to believe) bamboo plant. Yes, this Panda has never owned any of that "Lucky Bamboo" that seems to be for sale anywhere and everywhere plants are sold. I finally broke down and bought a little starter bamboo with three stalks. It came in this cheap plastic cup which was fine since before I got the bamboo I ended up finding a cute little blue flower pot with bamboo on it at a yard sale. The best part, it was free. So after I bought the bamboo I transferred it over to the blue pot and it's super cute. ^_^ I feel lucky already.

On Sunday John and I were talking about old commercials we remembered from our childhood. The one I mentioned to him was an old Reese's Peanut Butter Cup commercial where they take this huge chunk of chocolate and plunk it into this big ol' jar of peanut butter. When I was a kid I so totally wanted to do that. John felt the same way. So we went on a hunt for a giant chunk of chocolate. Our quest lead us the bulk food section of one of the grocery stores in town. They have everything....except plain hunks of chocolate. They had white chocolate and milk chocolate with almonds...but no plain! Feeling defeated we walked a few bins down from the bricks of chocolate to find the mini Reese's Peanut Butter Cups. We bought a pound of those and called it good.

Alas, my childhood dream will have to wait a while longer. But someday...oh yes someday...my dream of eating a large chunk of milk chocolate dipped in a jar of creamy peanut butter will come true.

Question for everyone: What is your favorite candy?

For me it's chocolate. The only thing that changes is what is mixed with the chocolate. I love Peanut Butter Cups, Carmel Cups, York Peppermint Patties, Kit Kat, Milky Way...chocolate covered pretzels, strawberries, bananas....ice cream.....pretty much if it has chocolate I am game to try it. Mochas...now there is a combo of my two loves. Coffee and chocolate. Truly a match made in the heavens.

white fang: Manga is a good choice to spend the money on. ^_^ As for working. I think I end up writing every day. I guess there is no rest for the wicked. :P

anguisel: Oh, I need those Saiyuki manga too. I also find myself in the craft section at Wal-Mart buying fabrics. Darn cosplay addiction causes me to constantly be buying stuff to sew! LOL

SomeGuy: That video is too funny...yet so familiar. Yeah, I groove to the tunes on the Katamari games. >_<;; Pork rinds and cookies...salty and sweet...you got your bases covered. Rock on man, rock on.

indifference: If only visiting friends online were as easy as getting on the internet. It would be such a blast to have an anime marathon with a bunch of fellow Otaku-ites. That would be way too much fun. Reading manga, looking at art books...watching hour after hour of anime. Oh, not to mention the snacks! Sounds like a great time to me!

Lytjuh: I love my aquarium! Saving up for a new one would be a very good way to spend $20 bucks...but so is the idea of using it all on manga. It's all good!

TMBpower: Sakura-con was great. Too bad you didn't make it in the doors! As for Uwajimaya..I'm not sure if they have import DVD's. I know they have CD's, magazines and manga but I don't think I have ever seen import DVD's.

Number5: That is very cool that you would spend the money on a pizza meal for the entire family. Pizza sounds good...I wonder if I can convince John to go for pizza tonight....

Shireishou: 2.5% is a very nice gift for the poor. Using the remainder on a costume is definitely a fun way to use the money!

jujitsuhoney: I think it's been fun looking at all the non-US residents figuring out what the currency converts too in their homelands. Manga seems pretty much the same "price" as it is over here. I can get, depending on the manga, about 3 for $20.

naski: Sales tax does suck. That is one thing I love about traveling to other states. Some states have no sales tax since they have income taxes instead. Or some states have a lower sales tax. Here in Washington it is 7.9%. Ouch!

sweet hypocrisies: Simpsons: Hit and Run is a fun game. I think it's a great way to spend $20 bucks.

KitsuneTsuki: Frappuccino and manga...sounds like the makings of a wonderful day to me! ~_^

Summoner Rekka: I've been watching the Death Note trailers as they have been coming out and I am chomping at the bit to see it! It looks like it's going to be fun to watch!

SunfallE: Having a big get together to hang out would be such a blast. I love being able to put faces and names (or screen names) together. ^_^

AngelBest Dream: I have a tendency to put money into pockets and forget about it. It's like a little surprise when I put a coat on and find "extra" money in a pocket. I think that has to be much better than just losing it! LOL

Chabichou: Craft supplies, food or a good book. Excellent choices. One can never have too many craft supplies!

BankofKev: You know how to treat your favorite bear right! Panda <3's Baked Alaska...especially when it's with you Kev! ~_^

Stuck To My Katamari: Vacuum cleaner and $20 bill.

Current Mood: Fuzzy

I've been busy, but not. It's kinda hard to explain. I have a couple of screeners I am working on and an interview. I've also been busy doing some spring cleaning. I went out with Jen for lunch and we have plans for a very early morning tomorrow to go out and about with another one of our friends for a shopping excursion. It should be a blast. We are starting off with Starbucks then shopping!! A well caffeinated Panda who gets to shop is a very happy Panda.

Since I have to get a very early start tomorrow I best be going. I hope everyone is having a wonderful weekend and don't do anything I wouldn't do...or at least don't get caught! ~_^

I'll leave you guys with a quick question: If I gave you $20 what would you spend it on?

If I gave myself $20 bucks I would go buy some more manga. I would like some more Death Note and Bleach. Pretty much what the deciding factor as to what I would get would be what the ONE store in town has in stock. With my luck they won't have anything I want or only stuff I already have.

If that were the case I would go through the used games and anime DVD's and see if there is anything good in the used bins. All else fails, I get myself a latte and some type of chocolate dessert. Mmmm...chocolate dessert....yummy.

Stuck to John's Katamari: Paint Buckets and Me.

Current Mood: Groovy

For those of you who haven't played the Katamari games let me explain my subject title. When you play multiplayer you can roll up your opponent into your Katamari. I felt like I got rolled up in John's Katamari yesterday since I hung out with him while he was taking care of business. So basically I got "stuck" to John and his work. :P

Personal Update: Sorry for no update yesterday. I was gone for most of the day since I was "stuck" with John and had to go visit my Rheumatologist at his main office, which takes 3 hours of my life away just driving there. Meh. At least my next appointment will be in my hometown. I did just happened to luck out yesterday since John had to take some supplies over to a branch office of the company he works for in the same town as my appointment. Since he had to drive over for business that meant we could take the company vehicle. What makes that so special you ask? Well, we don't have to pay for gas for that vehicle. With gas prices here over $3 a gallon - it adds up. Woo Hoo! At least that was a plus.

My appointment went, well, the best it ever has. My chemo dosage was only increased by .1mg and all my blood work came out looking great. We had a beautiful sunny day for the drive over which was like a little slice of heaven. I'm feeling pretty darn groovy lately. ::strikes disco pose::

Site Update: I posted a review of the latest Lupin the Third movie and of volume 2 of Desert Punk which are both on the front page of the site right now. If you get a chance please feel free to check it out and leave me a comment.

I've also been receiving at least one request a day to fix myO sites. I am not sure why I have become so popular to contact for tech stuff all of a sudden but I wanted to make sure everyone knows that I am not the tech person. There is very little I can do dealing with HTML issues. Adam is really much better when dealing with the tech stuff than I am. If I can help I will, but be aware that I'm not the tech support.

Misc. Update: I'm glad you guys all liked the Katamari-ness videos I have been posting. I have another video clip to share with everyone. This one is a Japanese commercial for the PS2 game. I thought it was pretty simple yet funny. Enjoy!

I hope all of you are in as high spirits as I am right now. Even if the weather in your little corner of the world isn't as sunny as mine, I wish for all of you to feel the warmth though my blog. Feel the love. ::glomps everyone:: You guys totally rock my Panda socks.

Stuck To My Katamari: BBQ Grill and Tennis Balls

Current Mood: Bright

Oh absolutely glorious day! I woke up Saturday to a beautiful sunshiny day which instantly energized and motivated me to get moving. I got a bunch of chores done and John and I had a little BBQ. While he was grilling I was playing with the dogs. We cracked open a fresh can of tennis balls and we had a grand old time.

I'm feeling pretty groovy right now. I think we need to watch the opening sequence for We Love Katamari. Enjoy the ballet dancing pandas.

Yensid: I think it is wonderful when people share information concerning health care. You never know, the info you give could really change someone's life for the better. I really lucked out when it came to finding my Rheumatologist since he is my mom's doc too.

CosmicSailor: That is pretty cool about your predicting ear. Much better than swollen joints that's for sure!

SomeGuy: Ah yes, the King of All Cosmos. He's a swanky dresser. Gotta love those curve hugging purple tights. He totally rocks my...tights! You can kidnap me anytime. I need to get out the house once in a while. We would have a great time! Anime convention...we must go together someday!!

Lytjuh: Must get We Love Katamari! Keep working on him. Keep an eye on the used games too. If he won't get it at full price maybe getting used might work. ^_^

Mimmi: ::answering in the form of a question:: What is the possible halucinagenic the creators of Katamari Damacy were on when making the game?"

Number 5: Oh man. It may not be playing if you have an older version of the Flash Player. Bummer.

naski: No console to play Katamari Damacy. ::sad:: That just means you need to come over to my house and play the game! If you ever get the chance to play the game at a friends house or at an anime convention you have to do it. It's strangely addictive.

Mamma Vash: IF we can ever manage to meet up at AX this year we should get some coffee. I know there is a Starbucks downstairs in the Hilton so it wouldn't be going out of our way to get a tasty coffee treat. You know I am up for an iced mocha anytime!

jujitsuhoney: Katamari is really bizarre but fun. Like I said to naski, if you get the chance to play it check it out. Some people (like me) absolutely love it while others find it a complete waste of time.

KitsuneTsuki: ACL injuries suck! I know lots of people hurt their ACL skiing or football...when there is too much pressure on the side of their knee...but a swimming pool? How did that happen?! What made your knee go all wonky? Ouch!!

Chabichou: Definitely window sets are the best. Once Jen and I tried to go to the new cafe in town and they had these really dark tall backed booths. It was like being in a basement. I like being in the natural light. Or in the case of that cafe - any light!

Crimson-Rose: You gotta love the King.

celestialcharm: Thanks for the compliment on the screener. I really liked the show. I was thinking if I had the 6 year old me in my 30 year old body I would be really mad at how this old body doesn't work like it use to at 6. I think if I tried to climb around a jungle gym right now I would kill myself! LOL

indifference: Doesn't that little intro video totally rock. It makes me wonder if the creators were on any "substances" while creating the game. LOL I'm sorry you couldn't leave me a comment. I know Adam's been trying to get the bugs worked out the comment box. Hopefully the comment box will be up to speed with the rest of the site soon. That and the weird PM thing going on. :P

Stuck To My Katamari: Iced Mocha

Current Mood: Natural

Today was a good day. My best friend Jen came by and kidnapped me for a much needed coffee break. We sat at our usually bistro table at the cafe and had a great time chatting. I love going out for coffee. ^_^ I also finished and published my next screener for Nanaka 6/17 so be sure to stop by and check that out. I really enjoyed that series. I'm adding it to my list of anime series to collect. So now I only have 2 more screeners to go! Woo Hoo!

Since I have to get back to my writing I'll leave you guys with this Katamari Damacy video clip from the beginning of the game. Enjoy the groovin' pandas.

Summoner Rekka: Woo Hoo! Best of luck with those last 18 months of school. ^_^

Number 5: Hey! Long time no see! I'll have this RA for the rest of my life unless I am VERY lucky and it goes into remission. I'm not holding my breath for that though.

Mamma Vash: I should upload a wallpaper that reminds me to chill. Right now I'm still on that coffee buzz for relaxing is something I don't think I can do right now. I think I need to run around the block or something. LOL

blackwings: I wonder how many people would get the Baki reference if the FUNimation guy did get a shirt that said that. LOL

SunfallE: The weather today started out all stormy, then it got sunny, then it got windy which then, of course, makes it all dusty. Now it's all gritty outside. Icky!

Lytjuh: You know, I don't think I've ever had a cute wallpaper. It seems like all the wallpapers I've ever had on my computer are more serious. I should put something a bit more sugary up. ^_^

Yensid: I'll check out the site. John's aunt has fibromyalgia, now that disease really sucks. I hear the horror stories from people who have Fibro and try to get disability. RA factor can show up on blood work but Fibro doesn't have anything that shows up in x-rays and lab work. Thanks so much for the linkI will definitely check out the site...maybe they can help my mom whose RA is really bad. I'm a vision of health and vitality compared to her. @_@;;

Dark Spirit 21: Schools are like that. They are probably afraid people will be on the site instead of doing "educational projects".

ShadowFaintZero: Using a screen shot is cool. I was debating if I should do that for my computer with some Katamari Damacy...but then decided it would be too much KD with my site layout and all. LOL

DDG: Hey stranger! Good to see you around! ::hugs:: As for the weather it is rainy, sunny, windy and dusty. It just kinda cycles through those stages then starts over the next day. I wish it would just be sunny and warm. Meh.

naski: I hate it when computers get all wacky. I had to do some major cleaning on my computer since it was getting a bit heavy. Too much junk, not enough room. Now all is well with my computer.

It's really funny when I was younger and older people with arthritis would predict the weather by what their joints were doing. I have become one of them. >_<;; I can tell if the there is a low pressure front passing though. It's just plain weird.

Stuck To My Katamari: Lawn Clippings

Current Mood: Bloated

Weather is getting icky again so my joints are flaring a bit. So I'm a bit on the puffy side, thus the bloated "mood". I have to go see my Rheumatologist on Monday so we'll see what he has to say about my swollen joints. Otherwise I am in good spirits so I can't complain too much. ^_^

I finally got that review for Baki the Grappler done and uploaded to the news section (front page) of theOtaku. If you get bored check it out. It has pictures of some guys with really big muscles. DBZ Super Saiyans have nothing on the muscles in this anime. @_@;;

I'm not really sure what to talk about so I'll just leave you guys with this question:

What wallpaper is currently on your computer screen?

I currently don't have a custom wallpaper. I am not sure why but what's there now is that generic blue-ish wallpaper that comes with a Mac computer. I did have Hanatarou but when I did some updates to my computer I lost my wallpaper and it reverted to the default paper. I should get a new one on here.

blackwings: Bleach is great. I really enjoy the reading the manga. You need to snag those manga from your sis and start reading them if you haven't already! As for my email issue, so far so good. I better not say too much else or it'll freak out again. Now the screeners: 2 done, one in the works and 2 more to go. I guess you can say I am exactly half way done since I am in the middle of writing the 3rd one. Hooray!

KitsuneTsuki: Oh we both have good taste in manga. I'm holding out on reading my Death Note manga til I am done with the writing. It's going to be my reward for getting the work done. ^_^

Angie Lee Lee: ::hugs:: New manga is always a good thing huh.

jkrowlingdahl: Thanks! The new layout seems to be an all around hit with my visitors. I'm diggin' on it too.

Mamma Vash: Ok, so your second try to call me I was outside with John while he mowed the lawn! I had the ever important job of "supervising" the work. It's a tough job but someone has to do it!

celestialcharm: Thanks! I find myself zoning out watching the Prince push that katamari around in my avi...it's too hypnotic. ::watches avatar for 1/2 hour:: Uh...what was I saying? Ah yes, Bleach manga is sooooo good. You must get up to 11 since that is the first time Hanatarou shows up in the story line. Hanatarou is my favorite timid little 4th Division member. Panda <3's Hanatarou.

Stuck To My Katamari: Anime DVDs and Manga

Current Mood: Sunny

Thanks for all the words of encouragement. It really is a great feeling to know that there are so many friends out there sending happy vibes out to my family. You guys can roll me up into your katamari any time. ^_^

I'm glad you guys like the new layout. I've had "Que Sera Sera" from Katamari Damacy stuck in my head. "I know yoooou love meeee...I want to wad you up into my life...Let's roll up to beeeeee...a single star...in the sky!" You know you love it when I sing to you.

I just posted a review on another DBZ DVD. Now I only have 4 more screeners to watch and write about. It's funny, I didn't have any screeners for a while so I decided head over to Hastings, which is the only place in my hometown that sells manga and anime. I needed a break from working on my Mei Chan cosplay stuff. Anywho, I pick up a couple of new manga (Death Note volumes 1 and 2) and browse through the anime. They had no Bleach. Meh. I get home and I have 5 screeners waiting for me. Go figure. So needless to say I haven't had a chance to sit down to enjoy my new manga.

I am hoping later on tonight to post my screener on Baki the Grappler: King Hanma so keep your eye out for that. I swear, by the end of today I am going to have my fill on guys with huge muscles fighting each other. >_<;;

blackwings: Thanks for the well wishes. My email problems continue. Sometimes it works...sometimes it doesn't. Right now I am receiving mail but can't send. I have a few emails waiting to go out. It just sorta randomly decides when it will work. I'm just glad I have other email accounts I can use.

Yensid: Happy thoughts are always good. I know I all these good vibes will help the entire family. ::hugs::

Chabichou: Thanks! I noticed that on my hubby's monitor the shade of green I had looked completely different than the how it looked on my computer. It was a bit...harsh. I needed something a bit softer on the eyes. This seems to work.

Tony: Woah! Haven't see in you a while! It is very good advice. A major plus about the family is how we all try to concentrate on all the good times and enjoying the time we do spend together. Even though a loved one is gone or in ill health we joke about the good times. It always makes everyone smile.

Katamari rocks.

Lady K: I have lost so many people around me from cancer. If I had a genie wish I would use one to get rid of cancer. ::hugs:: The Katamari theme does so totally rock huh. How can you not smile looking at it?!

KitsuneTsuki: Thanks all the happy thoughts we can get to Janet the better. I know it always raises my spirits to know that there are people out there thinking of me. Cookies and comments. Everyone deserves a tasty treat once in a while. ::starts to think of cookies:: Yummy.

Sara: ::points to current mood at top of post:: I do my best. ^_^

Mimmi: Thank you for being you. Being the kind of people we are we always try to keep our chins up. After all, when life throws you pies make pie-monade!

Dr. Monkey Orange: Those were totally the best costumes! The King, Queen and Prince. I really want to make a costume. I like the cousin that looks like a strawberry. I should try to make it for Sakura-con next year. ::hugs::

Aaryanna: Everyone's wishes for warm weather got here. The last two days have been beautiful! Clear blue sky and wonderfully warm sunshine. See what happy thoughts can do! The theme is based off a video game called Katamari Damacy. It is a very simple yet bizarre game. You have got to play it, it's totally addictive.

Akimoto Tumaki: Blasphemy! We <3 Katamari needed to be made! You can never get too much of the King in those sexah purple tights! @_@;;

Mamma "eternal game of phone tag" Vash: Thanks for the good thoughts. What is it about us and not being able to connect? Every year at AX we have problems, every single phone call we miss each other...it's like we are destined to always have problems. LOL

   We Love Katamari!

I'm sorta kinda back. Things lately have been pretty tough for me. Please keep John's aunt Janet in your thoughts and prayers. We just found out she has cancer with 3 to 6 months left. This on the tail of John's grandpa passing. I guess when it rains it pours.

My internet service has been really wonky lately. All day yesterday I was unable to get/send any mail. Today I can't send, but I can receive. Weird. So if you have sent me an email and I haven't responded your email may have fallen into the black hole which is my internet service. Meh.

Health wise I am doing okay. Even though the weather is cold AND for some unknown reason our furnace decided to die. It's chilly in here! It looks like we are going to have to dump some money into that. At least we can kinda put it off for a little bit since we are going into spring/summer. Just gotta remember to fix it before fall/winter. Ah, the joys of home ownership.

I guess that is about it for now. I'm sure you guys picked up on the new Katamari Damacy theme. I love Hanatarou but I needed a change. Hope you guys are doing well and I will hopefully be by to update more often. Laters!
