No Kobato news -at all-
Weirdly enough, I checked Shogakukan's scheduled comics and there's no mention of Kobato #1 on their October comics list.

   news! ( but no pics! )

"I don't know if any of you remember but in one of my previous post I said that the kimonos that were exposed on CLAMP Su would be featured in one of the Young Magazine issuess she well said, the thing is probably more to show GIRLS on kimonos rather than KIMONOS on girls, as we are talking about Young Magazine in here

Anyway, the kimonos were probably done by Mokona, I mean, the kimono itself, since she said she loves doing them, but the drawings and paintings must be by the 3 of them together (Mokona, Nekoi and Satsuki). The kimonos are really pretty... indeed they are simple but having CLAMP's drawing on them make them pretty

Remember that CLAMP Su pamphlet? So, funny enough, each of them represents each of those illustration, as you'll be noticing. My favorite one is definitively X's one... that blue dragon really looks awesome (not to mention the wings and gears), it makes a great effect on the kimono.

**CLAMP On The Ranking !

So, hum, YES CLAMP won one more time, they are simply TEH BEST XDD Err, sorry. Check out the best-selling mangas from the period of 15th to 21th of August from animate's store:

1st: Tsubasa #11 (Normal Edition)
2nd: Negima #11
3rd: Honey and Clover #8
4th: Air Gear #11

There's no mention of the deluxe version for Tsubasa nor CLAMP No Kiseki #12 (who usually always gets a position).

Way to go CLAMP ! Negima and Air Gear, as you know, are 2 titles also VERY famous in Shonen Magazine, but even so Tsubasa won the 1st place, yey !

I didn't use to check animate's ranking ever since the 1st vol was out, so I can't say Tsubasa had until now only won the 1st place, although I really feel like it did.

Remembering that this is ANIMATE's ranking, -only-, indeed is one of the biggest/most-famous anime/manga stores but is not the entire Japan


**And the Auctions are over...:

The auctions for the Tsubasa and XXXHOLiC signed pics are over and here are the final results:

Tsubasa: 2,002,000 yens, aka, around US$ 18,036.00
XXXHOLiC: 393,000 yens, aka, around US$ 3,540.00

Amazing, huh?
Just remembering that those were made using a dollar as 111 yens.

New version of CLAMP-NET !

CLAMP-NET's design has changed ! Yey, (with no warning at all) it really took me by surprise. Anyway, the site's structure is still the very same as the previous one, the only thing that changed was the design. It looks cuter, probably the thing that is most noticeable are the icons. Many, many new icons each one for one section. Even the series got their one. Kobato has her hat, Tsubasa has it's feather, XXXHOLiC has Yuuko's cigarette-thing, and so on.

But besides this, nothing really new. No new sections , no changes on Profile (except for the already-seen pics), not even new LOFTs or a new wallpaper *pouts*, even the links section hasn't been touched... and if I'm not wrong, there are some broken links on that

Oh yes, the news...

There's this present thing, on Sunday GX of this month, where people can submit to win an Ioriyogi ( kobato dog ) Ipod
There's also a tiny thing to attach it to cell phones with Kobato's bottle's miniature

On the pink one he's listening to some musics, and on the blue one he's showing off his teeth I'd choose the blue (really?) not only because it's blue but surely Ioriyogi's face would scare a the thieves

Weird enough, there's no mention of whether Kobato is in or out on next Sunday GX The site always shows the events for the next 30 days... weird. Also, not a word on the regarding 1st volume's release.

On a very fancy note, CLAMP will be hosting a lecture on nothing less, nothing more than Tokyo University of Art and Design (sorry if this is not the right name) during a festival called Creative Spiral Festival.
How fancy is that? A lecture on Tokyo University? About Art AND Design ! Why CLAMP don't come to MY University ? XDDD
Ah, the date is September 25th."

Remember when I told you about Yahoo's CLAMP Special site? And that they would be doing an auction with CLAMP's signed pics? Well, it started already !

There are 2 pics, one for Tsubasa and one for XXXHOLiC.

Now, the part that made me GAP !

Tsubasa's one is costing (so far, is an auction, there are more 5 days left)... anyway, it's costing nothing but 662.000 yens !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That is 662 THOUSAND yens !!!!!! Which is like... around US$ 6.000

OMG! This is so crazy XDDDDD And the auction began yesterday ! This value will increase much more !

XXXHOLiC's one is at the moment 171.000 yens, which is around US$ 1.500

Just remembering that the auction's money will be given to charity

   more clamp news!

wowowow!! xXxholic is up to chapter 83! theyre catching up on tsubasa!
" This chapter comes with an AMAZINGLY GORGEOUS color page (one of my favorites so far! Yuuko is so fancy), and it's a totally out-of-place thing. I mean, usually color pages comes with the beginning of a new tank... and they usually are 4. This one was probably a commemoration for the movie, does anyone know if there's something worthy saying on that page? I loved the "Created & Melted & Produced ... By CLAMP".
There's also some pages about the movie with some new caps on the file.

Kobato on GX cover and Tsubasa Good:

I forgot to mention (I actually didn't notice) that Kobato is ALSO featuring the cover for Sunday GX's September Edition, as you can see.
There are some things I'd like to say... things that passed through my head when I first saw it:

- I know there are -enough- proofs and it's more-than-proofed that Mokona does Kobato main art, but in this new pic, the hints are -everywhere- XD I mean, Kobato is wearing a KIMONO in the middle of SUNFLOWERS... what more do you want? XD
- Another thing I noticed was how BIG the name CLAMP is... I know it's not the first time we see a thing like that but I never commented about it... How big is the name of CLAMP in the manga industry... I mean, usually, we see the name of series very big (when it's famous) and, sometimes very small, underneath it it's where the name of the author is located. But with CLAMP, it's always very BIG, sometimes even bigger than the series's name (as in this case). I just love that ^^

According to my counts, this should be the last chapter for tank 1. So, probably, the first volume should be released soon, on September or October.

YAY!!!!! the clamp no kiseki cover was released a couple days ago! it will come out on the 22nd of this month!


Just adding a tiny thing regarding Kobato, I looked at the scheduled comics for Shogakukan to be released on September and there's no Kobato listed... the 1st volume will probably be out on October, then.

There's a CLAMP interview in this month's Puff magazine, as I previously said. And I got a piece of information regarding it.

CLAMP said that Tsubasa is going to be bigger than X. This is not surprise for me, since I was pretty sure the series would be 21 volumes long (7 per anime season, character guide) and X is planned to be 20, as we all presume.

Scheduled Chapter in Young Magazine 38 - Includes a special feature with Mokona's hand-made Kimonos that were exposed on CLAMP Su exposition.

The official site for the movie released a Campaign where 7 sites have 1 Mokona banner each with one kana. The fun is to find the hidden banners on the site and form a word with those 7 kanas, mixing and intercalating between them. Once you discovered, you can type the word on the door at the site and if you are right, you'll win a digital prize.

I managed to collect only 6 of them... Shonen Magazine's website seems to be out-of-date and there's no banner anywhere in there >_<

   The most clamp news in one post yet!

wow! do i have a lot of information for you all!!!!!

Tsubasa Vol. 11 normal and deluxe edition will be released on August 17th, according to Kodansha's site.
Also, a XXXHOLiC OFFICIAL FANBOOK (for the movie) will also be released on August 17th and it'll cost 1.260 yens.

Animate's Ranking has been updated and CLAMP is there, of course:

Tsubasa's single, BLAZE, won the 5th position of the CD rank.

CLAMP No Kiseki 10 won the 4th place in the comics rank.

And there are also 2 Tsubasa goods in the goods rank.

CLAMP on Puff, again!

The next edition of Puff magazine will have a Tsubasa and XXXHOLiC featuring! It seems to be the issue's top feature, but too bad it seems that CLAMP won't draw the cover

The magazine is out on July 30th, check it out!

The Official Sites for both XXXHOLiC and Tsubasa movies are now formally open, nothing like a good flash version.

Both have more information and some bigger versions of old pics. I'm looking forward to that "???" section on XXXHOLiC's one.

The only thing that I did not like was the "simply" fact that XXXHOLiC's movie will be 60 minutes long !!!! The hell, what kind of "movie" has 60 minutes?? Gosh, Japan and that stupid "90 minutes" thing (60 for holic + 30 for tsubasa).

The the official movies site has been updated with some NICE backgrounds for XXXHOLiC's movie and new pics (Watanuki and Doumeki look teh great!), also, on Tsubasa's you can find some new screencaps
And a big YAY for CLAMP for selling over 88 million copies of their works (comics, only), according to that site.

WOW 88 million !!! I always wanted to know that! Numbers are always great to know And that's only for the Japan sales, not counting the external translations, goodies, Videos and DVDs, magazines etc.
Does anyone has any doubt about CLAMP been rich?

SATSUKIS colums!
i just love those!

I highly recommend everybody to read it ! It's so good because you can feel a bit more close to them, what they like, what they do, how they work, their tastes and experiences, it's very great for those who like behind the scenes stuff.

Among the curiosities, we found out some of the food Satsuki likes, her opinion on candy toys , what does she think about Live Action and how would it be if a CLAMP manga turned into one, her love for roller coaster and video-games and that she's the only one in CLAMP who has a driver license!!!


NHK schedule site announced the content for next week's shows and among them are TOP RUNNER featuring our beloved mangakas:

They all look -SO- shy/nervous So cute !

I must say, Nekoi is very, very different from the Frau photo shoots, she looked more mature (mainly because of her clothes and hair style) and also taller ! She's there to there with Mokona, who is the smallest one

I'm amazed by how much they look like their latest SDs, it's simply the same !!

im so glad that tsubasa chapter 85 was featured on the cover of the magazine!!!!

Tsubasa to last until 2007?

Yeah, seems so... in a promotional ad for Tsubasa's Trading Card, they mention that the anime series will have 2 more season (3 in total).

According to the text, between one season and the other, they'll rebroadcast the previous seasons, including CCS's 3rd one. So, the schedule can be something like that:

April/2005~September/2005 - Tsubasa Chronicle Season 1 (airing right now);
October/2005~March/2006 - CCS 3rd Season (rebroadcast);
April/2006~September/2006 - Tsubasa Chronicle Season 2;
October/2006~March/2007 - Tsubasa Chronicle Season 1 (rebroadcast);
April/2007~September/2007 - Tsubasa Chronicle Season 3.
October/2007 and on - Rebroadcast of Seasons 2 and 3.

Very good news for some people, kind of bad for others, but it seems to be the truth. And what's more, as we all know very well, the anime won't go alone... so the manga also won't stop until the end of the anime, which is 2007.

Indeed we all knew only 26 episodes weren't near enough to make justice with Tsubasa... but I certainly did not expect 3 seasons... nor this big break of six months between them.

So that's it... 150 chapters, 21 volumes. Each season covering 7 volumes (also 7 volumes for each Character Guide).
Besides, I really think Sakura has 12 feathers in a whole (because of the number of sections in her wings) and we are right now just a bit further from the half of the manga (chapter 85 in a total of 150, around 55%) and she has 5 feathers, which is 50% of 12 (total number of feathers).


Kobato

Kobato is scheduled to be on Sunday GX September edition (out on August 19th) with a color page and featuring the cover, yey !

Tsubasa

Tsubasa is scheduled on the double issue number 37/38 (out on August 8th), nothing about color pages, though.

There will be a screening, more like a preview for Tsubasa and XXXHOLiC's movie in Tokyo (August 10th) and Osaka (August 12th).

Cute cover for the normal edition but unfortunately we had seen it already. And I certainly didn't expect to see Ashura so soon ! The deluxe cover looks GREAT! What are the bets for the next covers?

Important Characters that are still left:

- Clow
- Fujitaka
- Ashura!Celes (he didn't do anything yet but I doubt he's gonna stay sleeping forever)
- Subaru (possibly)

The tanks are out on August 17th.

Also on that same date, will be out the single for the opening song of the movie, aerial, and the cover of the single will be draw by CLAMP (picture still not available)

On the other hand, the cover for the ending song for the movie, Amurita, is now available and will be out on August 18th:

The same screening event to be held on Tokyo and Osaka applies, of course, for XXXHOLiC as well!
