wow, saturday

(its really much smaller than a nutshell can hold...)

Totally boring day I had:

Woke up at noon - tried internet connection worked long enough to get to some sites (hardly any of myO friends post / are even on the site on the weekends)

Decided to play Fable for awhile - it ended up being 5+ hours... so bored, at least I got my video graphics card working yesterday ^-^! I now have 128Mb graphics p0w3r.

Today, I also found out my photoshop smudge tool doesn't work so well on a document scanned at 600dpi... I'm never doing that again -_-;

Ah, well I'm not gonna clean my room now... so all that's left is to play more Fable until my brain falls out...

Questions, comments, concerns?

no questions today... I realized that the girlfriend application was a bad idea on myspace tho, b/c I don't have too many friends that happen to be girls there and I figured they'd put 2 and 2 together to get a tablecloth or something... although, some people no doubt would on myspace.

bye then!

The Friday of all Fridays

One of the best Fridays I've ever had, really. It's all because of payday really ^-^.

If you've never had a "good" job before, you really learn to appreciate it when you do get one because my income has literally doubled because of it. I have a little more than the amount I was getting before at my last job, of course I get paid twice a month now, which is twice as much XD. I figured the best way to be thankful for it would be to gloat on MyO, so there you go!

Thankfulness

I starting to think someone is gonna make me give a speech next Thanksgiving... I kinda hope its like last Thanksgiving, where It was just my mom, my sister, and me (My dad had to do some holiday chores for my grandmother down in Houston and my sister and I "had" to work).

Boss is nice

I'd have figured my boss was the kind of guy who took his employees to lunch once a week, but I got treated to Mexican food (Herrera's) yesterday and Italian (...can't remember) food today! The mexican food as usual was both blessing and curse (if you don't know what I mean, you might not want to know) -- I had a chimichanga!
The italian food was so filling... I had about half of my lasagna and I felt I could not even think about food anymore.

Story: status - unwritten... sorry -.-;

Naruto watch...

Saw episodes 14-17 of Shippuuden last night. they wuz awesome! I really liked the part where --
---WERE SORRY, YOUR BLOG HAS BEEN CENSORED FOR SENSITIVE CONTENT PERTAINING TO THE SAFETY OF YOUR LIFE---
-- and then they --
--- BEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEP ---
-- but then he's like --
--- BEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEP ---
-- so they end up marri... --
--- BEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEP ---
-- and that's about all of it.

Questions:

1) I've got a girlfriend application, would you fill it out? (I can put it in tomorrow's post...)
2) There's a train heading southwest from NewYork and a hang glider enthusiast lost in the woods. If the Train is speeding at 80mph, and the hang glider wants a drink of water when he comes across the tracks, how smeared will the guy be after he's hit by the train?

It's been good today, so I'm off to pooosst commmennnntssss! *flies off into the sun*

Yet more from the desk of Krusty
well, here's the deal:

I've got work to do at all times that I'm at work, so I don't really have time to do all that posting that I was doing before. I'm very happy at my job, but it happens to reallocate my attention to you guys... I'm very sorry, but I'm working on it... or waiting for it to be worked on. My dad is considering running wires in the attic instead of us all suffering from the excruciating and weak wireless router (yay dad! boo, wireless thingy!).

"OMFG! my Naruto episode download finished!!"

This internet is fast...
...when it connects -_-;

One other download finished, but ended up corrupt b/c of known problems with the stinky router's signal strength... "poor ep.16"

All Work and no Play makes Krusty Dull...

I've got this "play-time" quota to fill, so I fill all of my free time with it and I know that is one thing keeping me from checking your sites / blogging / sleeping... wait I'm turning into a morning person (who goes to sleep before midnight anymore? - Me, that's who... Doesn't mean I want to.) - NOOOO!

As I can't stand being dull (sharp, silent, and deadly are my preferred adjectives***), I enjoy my "play time" which includes gaming (pencil & paper RPGs), playing video games (least used recently), and drawing (my sketchbook is almost halfway filled!).

***Please ignore the possible fart joke you just encountered. Chaos theory supports the possibility that a child dies every time a fart joke is found.

Yeah... short post... Questions:

1) If you were a superhero, what would your own original (if you say fly, I'll just have to sing a Disney song - you wont like me if I sing a Disney song) trait be? If you were a super villain?

2) What would you do if your pizza delivery guy was a hired super villain trying to get you evicted from your place of residence? (Believe me, an answer helps me in the real world...)

Well, all my downloads are finished >_> the ones that I had access to anyways... so 1 L34\/3 j00 w/ m4 /=4r3 D4 w3115 4nD h4\/3 4 6r347 D4y.

the internet... > __ < ##!!
My dad is such a know nothing when it comes to networking... -_-; (then again, so am I... -_-;;)
Yesterday, I found out that my internet sucked for some reason... I was getting kicked off about every 5 minutes... (NOOO! MY DOWNLOADS!! TT-TT) I couldn't even get a simple Flash plug-in...

It turns out, as I found out today, that my dad reset the security on the server... and I was leeching the DSL connection from across the street...

5% signal strength (oh - yeah)

When the Tough Get Going

I know what you're thinking...
(What's up with that title?!)
Well, its close to midnight, so I don't really care... As far as where I was going earlier today:

I forgot to get something for lunch today, so I walked to the West End (Historic Downtown Dallas) for something to eat. I always end up going by the old marketplace building that is temporarily in permanent shutdown mode (stupid four/five floor malls...), and I saw a sushi place - sushi zone/explosion/*fist in the face*.

I think to myself:
Reason - "Hey, I've never had sushi before..."
Inner cheapskate - "What if it's too expensive?"
Reason - "Hey, no problem with spending a little money if it comes to that..."

So, I sit down at the bar and ask for a menu. I have no idea what I'm looking at, so I ask the guy what he recommends. I'm not sure what he said, but I mistook what he said to be 'California roll'. I also order a Coca-cola. I'm sure this guy was thinking "que estupido!" thats spanish for "what a baka!" (Not an Asian face in the restaurant).

reason: "I should have ordered a b33r..."

Anyways, I'm not sure if the guy at the bar had problems with people watching him work, but I sat there at the bar silently refusing to take a seat at a table. The food was beautiful! I tried the first one without anything on it - Delicious @_@!
I put some of this pink stuff that I thought was salmon at first on top of the next one (it turned out to be ginger) - MORE delicious @___@!

The plate was empty soon after.

I feel bad though, the guy mistook me ordering the thing he recommended and made it for me - it was beautiful but I couldn't afford it. I left a hefty tip for that meal (cheapskate + hefty tip = $2).

Krusty is Lazy

-Yep, I'm lazy. You see that this isn't my newest installment of "Ninja Kai" - I still can't be sure anyone cares... -_-;
-I nearly fell asleep at work today although I've done more work than I should have been able to with my level of knowledge(I'm not complaining - I'm only lazy in some other aspects, like work I don't have to do...and homework)
-I haven't installed my printer//scanner even though I have the driver...
-I haven't p-shopped any drawings because of above laziness

Comments on the comments

A-zak: so sorry I didn't get to your site yesterday, er day before...
Solemn: you're back! yippee! I've been a little worried honestly... 0_o; This internet is apparently not so good as I thought though...
(1. good idea... *needs to find a reference* ;2. um, good think you're not sure... neither am I; 3. *goes to buy more cookies* < -- no spine)

Questions:

1) Do you have "high-speed" internet? Do you still lose your connection for hours at a time?
2) Have you ever read Chibi Vampire?

Notes/rant on the new post

I wanted to yell and scream last night/this morning when our internet connection went out. I had finally got a good connection and the stupid thing goes out on me. I was sitting here writing my blog when out of nowhere I stop receiving IMs and I can't send them either... does the service provider not know that midnight is a high-traffic time of day?

Gah, anyways - I've gotta get to work now, so everyone enjoy your day and I'll be back tonight/this morning - whichever.

The first post from my own computer!!!

Hello all!

I'm happy to say that there's no good substitute for internet in your own room. To christen the occasion, I'm writing my blog first.

I went and spent too much money on this usb wireless adapter (about $55 US dollars) and even though I could've gotten one for cheaper it was recommended that I shovel out for this one (gee, thanks dad...). Money has never been more than an object to me, so I'm happy to apend it since I'm not in debt.

Now I just have to get this software for my scanner and I can go to town with a few projects I've forced upon myself. I've still gotta decide on a picture for my next Wallpaper (Junpei - Megatokyo), I've made a line art for a graduation card, and I'm probably gonna think of something else before those are even done...

Now that I've talked about projects, I realize that I'm a little behind on "Ninja Kai"... meaning I haven't written the next part yet. Ah, well it's not like you guys read it... you just look at the pretty pictures I haven't drawn yet...

umm, too excited and needing to d/l stuff... QUESTIONS:

1) What would you like to see me draw?
2) What would you like to see in my next wallpaper? I can make them now (^-^)
3) Where'd all the cookies go?

GOOD INTERNET!!!
I got home today to first find out that my computer was replaced with something that works!!! Hooray!

Now, I'm using our new high-speed internet to type an extra blog! I've got lots of software to put on my computer (soon to have internet!), so this is just a short post to make up for the lack of a full (non-bs) post earlier.

GIR: I'm gonna sing the DOOM song now!!

me: NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!! *runs off to room to apply software to noobish piece of machinery*

No such thing as a tyrant...
I'm sorry if I gave the wrong impression, my boss is one of the nicest guys I know. He's not stupid though. Earlier today, I almost walked in on him removing another employee from the payroll... face to face. That guy had been taking advantage of my boss's niceness for far too long already. Some advice for anyone who wants to keep a good job:

- If your schedule conflicts with the work week, compensate for the time lost.
- If your religious beliefs "require" two weeks of vacation every six months, don't expect them to be paid
- Don't spend half of your time at work on a dating site! (especially if you're married!)
- Don't lie to your boss (If he finds out, you lose his/her trust)
- If your boss is taking everyone to lunch and you don't want what they're going to have, kindly step out instead of forcing your choice on them
- Don't borrow your boss's car to go to lunch if you don't have your own.
- Do your work!! (and do as well at it as you can)
- First impressions are important, but to a smart boss they aren't everything. (although you have to get past the interview first...)
- You can't keep a good job if you're a dumbass.

That's a little wisdom to start the day off.

New Music

You might still be listening to "Ride on Shooting Star" from FLCL. I can't believe I didn't raid imeem.com for that sooner. There's a few others on there I really liked too. "Ai" is another good one...

Lunch

I had a wonderful burger for lunch instead of the two cups of ramen I brought with me. My boss's treat, and now I know to never have a business meeting in a bar downtown - it's so loud!

I'm still waiting for more work to do, so I decided to take this time to write the blog. I still shouldn't be making full-size posts until I get to use the new internet we got at home... maybe I'll have more tonight...

oops, forgot...
well, I've periodically been getting annoyed looks from my boss while I'm checking your sites, I'm getting my work done - so he really doesn't have anything to complain about...

Ah, the wonderful world of ceiling tile arrangement...

Anyway, I think I'll just bs today's post and give everyone a quiz result...

Day Three
I'm getting along here pretty well right now, and I've even done a substantial amount of work. It's just about quitting time, so I'm gonna post my blog now.

I was up pretty late last night, because my dad had some work to do on the computer and got off after 1AM. I was on until about 2 o'clock word-processing the newest chapter of "Ninja Kai", so here you go!

Chapter 3: Part 5

--now where'd I put that... AHA! THERE'S my jump drive!--

“The one thing our villae has in common with the outside world,” Gaijinkage explained as Kai walked with him, “is the statistical inevitability of an extremist view.”
Kai remained silent as they strolled cautiously to the training grounds. The thoughts in Kai’s head couldn’t combine to put together a sentence worth saying. The best sentences complained about the violence in Konsetsuo or pitiful reasoning for Kai to leave the crazy village.
“I don’t want to be the target of anyone’s anger,” he finally blurted out. “I just want to have my stake in something, and I want it to be something I have some control over.”
“Don’t be silly, Kai! You have no more control over the current situation than I have of the village. I have my people’s respect, but by no means any real control. It really all comes down to an issue of trust. Trust brings respect and that respect permits leadership. I’m the leader of the village because of the respect of the villagers. I have their respect because of the trust we have for each other. Who trusts you, Kai? Can you earn someone’s respect?”
“I suppose Yoshi trusts me… I met him at the academy.”
“I trust you, Kai. Booshi trusts you too. It takes a keen mind to grow up in a house owned by evil hearts and still know what it is that makes something right and what makes another thing wrong.”
“Do you know what it’s like?” Kai tried to understand.
“Yes, but that’s a story for another time. I can’t just give you ancient history lessons every time I see you.”
Kai grinned as Gaijinkage did.
“Your stake in life… Kai, I want you to know that whatever you choose, your stake in life is here – at no cost to you – so long as you want it. The village is just a great big family and every member is important, every member is special, and every member has a mind of their own. You can’t control someone else’s mind, or at least no one in this village has been warped enough to try… so I’ll be sure to give discipline…”
Kai turned sharply to see that Gaijinkage had vanished behind him. He continued to turn until he saw a bloody arrow pointed at his face. The back of Gaijinkage’s pierced hand now obscured a distant shadow in the treetops.
“Your audacity speaks volumes, Konsetsuo!” Gaijinkage bellowed. “You and your uncle’s poorly defined honor has wasted enough of my time and I won’t stand for it any longer!”

New news / old news

You may have noticed the awfully cute music with the banjo playing on my site? Well, I saw the show it is the theme song for and I really have to say...

IT WAS AWESOME!!!

In fact a conversation involving why I liked this show earned me a new nickname: Ecchi-Sam (doesn't it have a ring to it?)

This was hilarious, never mind the mortifying use of internet banner ads as well as the use of a banjo in its theme song (that still amazes me)...

I recommend it highly!

No Further Questions...

Sorry, no questions today... Thank you all for answering them, though! I enjoy every comment I get. See you tomorrow!

NOT a History Lesson
Bang the drums! Smash the gong!

200 visits! Hooray!

I also got a few more guest-book signings even though I don't really sign too many myself...

Day two of my captivity...

I'm still here... I've had a few chores to do, but the tasks seem to melt away quickly. I'm sure the boss man is feeling older and older as the day goes by as I've been showing my untrained prowess on the computer and I actually taught him a thing or two. I'm concerned about job security... a little (he only seems surprised that I have such 1337 skillz, though - I'm sure its a good thing).

Wow, its about 5:00 now during the post, and I realize that I haven't posted my story for this week. I'll have to have my sister bug me to get that done... off to facebook.

Yup, I got poked... I'll have it up tomorrow, or else I'll get poked again... harder.

Questions:

1) What is your dream job?
2) If money was no object, what would you choose to do for a living (whether you were good at it or not)?
3) Would you like a pet monkey? Would you need a suit of aluminum foil monkey-armor?

That's it for today! See you tomorrow!
