The Joy of Monotonous Times / A New Favorite
I guess I should update once in awhile...
I'm sorry if you were expecting some more of the incredible adventures of Krusty to appear here about last week, but things have gotten "stale" for the lack of a better term. Its also like I haven't had the will to write anything. I've been watching an amazing anime that was so blatantly done by the creator of "The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya", Nagaru Tanigawa. Lucky Star (Nana Hoshi) draws you in with no hook and I figure the reason why is the "otaku value".

I wouldn't call it "moe" though that is definitely a topic concerning the anime, and I wouldn't call it beautiful cinematic style animation (far from it really, but not so bad as Shin-Chan in my opinion). I can't wait to put it in my collection ^_^ (must prevent self from shopping for anime right now -_-;;)

Back in Black with Evercrack

Yeah, sadly (as some say) I have fallen into the life draining trap known as an MMORPG. EverQuest II is what it is known better as - its pretty fun really. I'm already the proud owner of a lvl 9 ratonga assassin character. Of course the way I'm playing the game, you could call it a massively single-player RPG since all I've done is solo missions.

If you're reading this and have the game and want to ease my nerdish lonliness, I'm in the Unrest server under a name we all know and love.

I'd ask questions, but I'm afraid I might not read them in an orderly manner ^-^;

So...

BYE-BEE!

Ah, the stuff that needs be known...

Responses:

KD - Yeah, sabbatical is somewhat right... I think. I'm not gonna bother looking it up >_>
My final intention concerning this job is to afford the "higher" education... well, higher than the one I have.
A-zak - Hey ^_^ thanks for the compliment on the drawing. I drew several things last weekend, I think I'll get to scanning them in today...

answer to last weeks question:

All of them! (at least I'm pretty sure they all have kids, but they are all definitely married)

The Manga / Anime front

I have decided to add a few more things to my "must purchase" list for Anime (which takes a much bigger bite out of the wallet):
- Ergo Proxy
- The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya
- FLCL

There are others I may buy pending that I find them for substantial visual testing including:
- Lucky Star
- Dokuro Chan (pending on an actual DVD release)
- Ninja Nonsense (pending on wallet matters)

I have purchased the Last Exile thin pack, but my foolish internet antics (concerning the previously mentioned anime) have prevented me from having time to watch it all on DVD yet.

I have almost enough of Ken Akamatsu's Manga (Love Hina, A.I. Love You, and Negima!) to burst my shelf apart at its dowel-laden seams. It appears I have to rearrange it or possibly get a new shelf... (I don't need those Harry Potter books on there, do I?)

The total of which comes to be: 77 volumes

I only need 23 more to make it an even 100... wow.

Other matters that might interest you

I might as well mention it now, but several weeks ago it was decreed that a new policy in my church's college group take place. That policy states that no male in the college group may ask a girl out, however, any girl may ask a guy out.
Sadie Hawkins dance, nothin'. This is Sadie Hawkins life, right? Well, it was a choice to be left up to the guys to make (although I wouldn't call it much of a choice) before the girls would return. Needless to say this perturbed the guys in the group greatly for a number of weeks before the decision was made (not without some incoherent yelling on the part of our older adult leader). At the end I still disagreed with the restrain it put on me, because of the interest I had just developed in the group. I was also annoyed that the decision was made based on the actions of two people who, as far as I know, may no longer be in the group. I feel that there is no way that I, with my somewhat poor social skills (especially with girls) can get a relationship going. I'm not asking for help, because this is a terribly unique problem for guys. I could say "sucks to the rules" and ask anyhow (if I ever get such courage), but I couldn't know whether there are any consequences should it cause a complaint. This issue almost killed our group, and the decision left to the guys was really an ultimatum disguised as one of the possible solutions (alas, there were no other solutions to barter for). That is why the guys had such a hard time accepting it including myself.

Another pic from last weekend:

This is what I was "cosplaying" as for most of the weekend. I was feelin' no pain ^-^

That is pretty much it for this weeks update, I'll have to get to everybody's sites later >_o

Full Report: AnimeFEST & new job
Hello everyone
I know its been an ungodly long time for me to have been without making a single post, but I had intended to buy a Cat. 5 cable to connect my computer to the internet tomorrow. Even so, a Labor Day miracle happened and the wireless is back on and allowing me to use the internet again ^_^

I appreciate all of your comments and everything too, you're so great.

Anime FEST

As a con-goer, I have the tendency to go to at least two anime conventions per year. Well, so far its five... in two years, but I intend to keep up this superb record of attendance in the years to come. I'm sure I should mention the website that may or may not exist in the future that got accidentally invented: whiskeypedia.com. Yes there was alcohol (wonderful stuff) and it was a merry time. I attempted to play Guitar Hero too, which ended up in minor disappointment in my skills.

Ah, the important part is here: the Shwag Report

I arrived on Friday a tiny bit too late to enter the dealer's room, which may have been a good thing. If I had not left my frugality or self-control in the hotel room, I wouldn't have bought all of these wonderful items:

1. Last Exile complete boxed thin pack $80
2. a couple of boxes of Pocky which were quickly and decisively obliterated $4
3. and a Force effects Light Saber by Master Replicas $150 x_x

I'm a quick shopper, because I spent an ungodly amount of time at this con doing nearly nothing for it being Dallas' second biggest Anime convention. I skipped out on some panels because, frankly, I've seen it by now... I drew my wallet after I was done shopping too.

No Regrets - Only Shwag

Job

I'm so glad I'm working at a job where the boss isn't replacing a family with his employees. My boss is a real honest-to-God boss. He'll let me know if I'm not being a great employee before I'm canned ^_^. This is a great place for me, considering the 5 minute drive and the fact I can go out to eat wherever the hell I want now that I'm within driving distance of all the places I know so well. I dropped by Purdy's last week... It feels weird to be a customer. The thing to know is that I'm exceeding expectations currently. I know how this type of business works and everything, and I do my work fast. All I need to work on is remembering how much work I need to be "done". I'm getting better ^_^

Otherwise

That Negima vector is being put on hold for the time being, and I'll have to wonder if I'll remember it's there. I honestly haven't touched my computer in about two weeks -_-

I'd love to visit your sites tonight, but I can't stay up so late, so goodnight for now.

Question:

1. Guess how many of my co-workers are married or have children?

Hey everybody
this is an update ^_^
there's really not much going on during the doldrums that precede my first day at my new job.

I'm still working at Purdy's and feeling slightly ignored/lonely since the last post.

I was gonna wait for more comments, but it feels like I might have gotten on some people's bad sides. First, I'll explain why I choose the side of downloading anime:
- I have no money
- I want to know what I'm getting before I buy it
- I eventually get a box set of something I really like (Eva & Excel Saga) I plan to buy the box set of Last Exile soon after I get my job (seriously, something like that very weekend at A-fest)
- occasionally I can't find something that's been suggested to me...

*eats dinner*

Guitar Hero

I'm so surprised at my skills. I'm now able to beat all the songs in the regular sets of everything except the last song of the 80s encore.

*wow I can't think... television sitcoms... >_o*
*brain is teh fried*

I just beat Freebird today (about time)

back to current situation and whatever...

I've been trying to get into the alpha of a new MMORPG that I'll have no time for once I get my job, and I'll be likely not picked for it. Not a big deal... I lost my internet yesterday because of a selfish router (so sad)... so tired of working on my feet every day too. I can't wait to blow my entire final paycheck on A-fest...

I've been unable to finish working on the vector for my Negima wallpaper yet.
can't...stay...focused...
Sorry, but there will be a wait.

New Avatar

yeah, see the new thing I got? hand made in Imageready ^_^ Its not what I was going for, but it took less time. I should make one that needs a good amount of effort... NAH

I'm off to watch anime now
*flies off into the sky*

BIG NEWS
Well, I had an Interview earlier this week and it went well. You might be wondering what could be big news though. Well, I suddenly got employed. When I got the call at work today. I knew it was good because he wanted to talk to me about something important enough to call me back about. Nobody bothers having to repeat calls to inform someone that another person was more qualified for the position ^_^.

Its an engineering consultant firm, and I'll be the one taking care of the "grunt" work (its totally fine with me). The best part is the 5 minute drive to get there from home. I start on the 27th, so I'll have some time to get things in order (like my sleeping schedule). Its a good thing I've nearly beaten DragonQuest >.>; Its tended to keep me awake.

Wallpapers

I think next on the agenda is a scan from another Anime/Manga I own. Maybe I'll do a Naruto one XP (its "cheating" as far as I'm concerned - I'm not bound quite enough within my own ethics barrier to be bothered by it :D).

Questions:

1. Do you see yourself owning your own apartment/house in the near future? (or the near past/present?)
2. Do you download anime? manga?
3. How many anime movies do you have?

My Answers:

1. An apartment if I don't get fired again (oh please GOD no), it could be as soon as this winter ^_^
2. Not licensed, not a problem... then again >.>;
3. About four really ^-^ I want the Miyazaki films

Well, it appears I've run out of big news, so with that I end my post
[Krusty]

P.S. [about 2AM Texas time]
this is my next project
an easy clue xP

Another WP
Long ago in a closet far far away...

I made a Wallpaper of Largo from Megatokyo
In the personal comment on that wallpaper, I promised a WP of Junpei. This is my fulfillment of that promise:

Enjoy / Download / Comment
I made the vector myself (I'm way too proud of that)

I have things to attend to, so I bid myO adieu.

Warning: haha just kidding XP
Well, I turned out a Wallpaper ^_^

I'm really proud of it (even though I didn't use any real effects for the background). So please download / comment.

Hosted By theOtaku.com

That's the first time I've spent anywhere near five hours on a picture that's already drawn -_-;
Screen tone sucks and my scanner doesn't get rid of all of it...

The JOB Hunt

I actually have an interview tomorrow - I'm pretty sure about it anyway. The weird thing is that I'm not the one who called them, but its the other way around. They must really need somebody bad to be looking at Monster's resumes. The biggest perk for this place is the location. I can get to the building in a matter of 5 to ten minutes - come to think of it, almost definitely 5 minutes.

I really hope I get it...

?Questions?

1. Have you ever played a sport?
2. Chess is not a sport... true/false
3. What's your favorite RPG? [note: not a rocket propelled grenade]

Well, it's time to visit sites

LOOK!! A weekend post!
Its about time for me to update my story, eh?
Not that anyone has said anything... oh well.

**Archive diving**

**Re-reading old chapters**

**Preparing self for insanity impulse**

"GAHAHGHHAGHAHHAGHAGHAGHHAGHAGHHAG"

Now, I'm ready to write... maybe...

Chapter 3: part 7
(holy crap! its been over a month!)

(the end of part 6)
“Do you understand how Booshi can turn his energy into a fireball?”
“No, sir”
“Then let’s see if you can turn yours into one.”

"Energy transfiguration, Kai. It's more than just fireballs and explosions. You see, there's a certain quality that your energy contains and the most dominant quality is the one that determines what it can be turned into. There are really only three types of energy that have been seen in this village: Heat - like Booshi's fireball, light, and the most common here is plain force. Your own clan was mostly force users."

"What about my father?"

"Ah, yes. He wasn't originally a member of this village, so we never really saw his true type before he destroyed the family and ran away with your mother. I say true type, because while your father showed some ability to use force powers, he had some unique abilities that couldn't have been merely kinetic energy - the actual term for force."

"Kinetic energy is just movement, right?"

"Yes, but some would call it telekinesis even though its all controlled by the body rather than the mind. The simple term we use is ki."

"So my father has strange abilities?"

"Yes, and he found terrible things to do with them too. I shouldn't really say that he killed your entire clan, because there is one that he apparently put into a coma before his final escape. But now is the time to see what special abilities you can learn, rather than learning about the abilities your hateful father learned," Gaijinkage was almost yelling before silence crashed around them.

"Sorry, Kai. My granddaughter was just a part of that is all. Lets continue... Do you remember the last time you used your energy?"

"Yeah, I broke that sword."

"It was in your hands right?"

"Yeah, the sword was..."

"No, no. The energy, Kai."

"Oh, yeah. I think... Yeah, definitely."

"Good. Now do that again, please."

"But I couldn't feel my hands until the next day."

"Just do it. If you don't practice it, you'll never feel anything when you use it. I recommend you try for more power this time."

"Alright," Kai said as he prepared himself to generate the pain and numbness caused by his energy once again. He closed his eyes and breathed deeply. He could feel the intensity of the energy gathering at his hands once again.

"I want you to focus it Kai," Gaijinkage said over the pain in Kai's hands. "Think of a shape and focus your energy in front of you."

Kai couldn't really choose a shape with the pain in his arms, so he thought of his nerves and how much they were screaming. When he opened his eyes and saw sparks flying from his hands rather than any shapes.

"That's... that's..." His stammering was then interrupted by an arc of lightning from tips of his fingers on one hand to the ones on his other hand.

"Electricity," Gaijinkage finished for him, "You have a unique ability indeed, Kai. Now, I assume touching you right now would be unpleasant, so please ground your arms for me."

Kai watched his arms as he slowly stuck them on the ground.

"This is indeed an odd ability you have, Kai. Electricity is an undeniably odd thing to see - even for ninjas - coming out of a human body."

Gaijinkage stepped forward. "Can you move?"

Kai shook his head.

"I assume that took most of your energy, so I'll help you get back to my place. We can't have you in that low security tree-house with the Miho heirs after you."

Gaijinkage hesitated before he carefully grabbed Kai's shoulders to pull him to his feet. Kai looked at the palm shaped scorch marks in the dirt and started to chuckle.

"I suppose you're surprised, huh? Well, just wait till you see Booshi's face when you tell him your type."

"I'll get to see his face!?"

Yeah, a joke kinda was needed. I'm really deciding that this needs to be drawn out to be better understood as a story, so I'm gonna get out my paper and pencils and try a few panels to get this going in the next few weeks. I have some pictures drawn, but the sequence is gone and the pictures are "dirty-looking" in the sense that I need to clean the lines up. I also need to put the last chapter on Fictionpress, so if you missed it you'll have to archive dive to find it (second page in the archives).

Job search is going... for the lack of any adjectives. I've got my hopes up to maybe have enough courage to ask that girl somewhere. I did lend her my book on GO, so that she'll want to play me again (this time she'll probably win - I'm not so mean as to never give a handicap. 6 stones sounds about right).

Computer is much better behaved since I cleaned out the fan on my video card. I ought to have cleaned it out in the first place, since I left it lying about my room for so long that it collected dust outside the computer.

I'm so conflicted now about my childhood friend (female) that lives in the area of my church when she's not off at school in Oklahoma. I want her to have somewhere to go to when shes in town for friends, and I think she'd be just fine in my college group. I can't send any of the girls to get her to come, because they don't know her and although I've tried (she said she would come once and didn't), I think she's afraid I'm pursuing a relationship she doesn't want rather than just getting her to meet my friends. So many things that would normally make my head explode. She's been afraid of relationships ever since her boyfriend in high-school dumped her for a skank and I don't feel there's anything I can actually do anymore.

I tried calling her on her cell phone (only twice) and not one call was answered or returned, so I have to ask if it was wrong of me to call her phone to tell her about the meeting time though there wasn't really any other way for me to tell her. If she's not upset with me, I'm not sure I want to know what thats like... Maybe there's something I need to apologize for that I missed... anyway, I don't like thinking about this so I'm done writing about it.

Date!? Where?
Sorry, I gave the wrong impression... Not set up on a date. That's my job. I'm just saying that someone worked some magic and there I was getting time face to face with a very cute girl. ^_^;

That's all I really have to say right now... I'm kinda job hunting under the orders of Captain Dad right now.

Hey everybody
Its been awhile... I just can't seem to get my computer to stop whining at me. Its literally whining, too. One of the stupid fans is off balance or something and it keeps making me worry that somethings gonna overheat. I really should have bought the laptop... too late now.

One thing happened that I could hardly believe last Thursday too. I got set up. ME... I got set up. I was pretty surprised, I hadn't thought there would be anyone to do such a kind thing - well, for me. I'm gonna just see what happens for now, but I'm definitely gonna have to remember to lend her my GO book next Thursday.

Well, thats about all I can get in without causing undue concern for my computers health.
