MegaTokyo

I HAVE to find volumes 1&3 of MegaTokyo now. Its so awesome I have to own hard copies! I read what seemed like 40 pages of it during work, and I missed out on the entirety of the chapters in volume three. Eventually I'll have my own place with a working computer that I can publish my own stuff on... That's in the future though... Hopefully less than a year...

dots...

Anyways

As I mentioned yesterday, I got a new pair of non-photo blue pencils, "the best drawing aid ever!" I'd say, but I left them and my bag at my friend's house yesterday. I miss my sketchbook! And I've not had it for only one day! I really need to draw more now that I have all of these dr4w1n6 w34p0nz. One of my graduation presents was a set of pencils - art pencils. I was so happy, but I've never used them before. I made due with a mechanical pencil most often, so I need some sort of tutorial on the use of the pointy things that mark on paper with the ability to be erased with rubber or vinyl or smeared with cotton. I think I'll be doing something eventually with my sketchbook to put up on my site (MyO first, everything else later(e.g. Devart, Myspace (which is evil), Fictionpress, etc.)). I really have to get my compy fixed, so I can write my story and have a nice post for everyone to read by the day.

Pokemon!

I finally beat the Elite Four! I guess I should have posted this on Tuesday after my jury duty, but I was so tired/pissed about the 11 hour waste of time (I nearly got paid 50 cents an hour) that I couldn't write about anything else. My party is currently:
Garchomp - Level 57
Gengar - Level 55*
Staraptor - Level 53 (I call him Vinny)
Alakazam - Level 55*
Lucario - Level 55*
Empoleon - Level 55*
*(the level 55's may not be 55, but 56. I'm not willing to look right now)

My friend as I will call him, is a "big time cheater". It's good for me, because generated items are very nice. Especially when the generated items come on rare Pokemon and are Masterballs. I finally got the National Pokedex and even caught all of the three legendary psychic types in the game (Uxie, Mesprit, and Azelf) I'm glad they are all there with my own Id # (which happens to be 55666 - haha, devil number). I can't lose a single Battle Tower challenge with Garchomp in my party either. I taught it Earthquake, and Flamethrower, and it learned on its own the attacks Crunch and Dragon Rush. I'm almost unbeatable at the Tower. I'm pretty proud of my OMG-fast Dragon. The game was kinda sore for awhile where I couldn't beat the Elite Four until I knew what they had in their parties and taught all the TMs, but I pulled through and made it happen. It was pretty easy too... after I lost about 5 times...

Questions:

Now as I end my post, I tend to leave you all with a few words of interrogation.
1) Why do you like anime? If you don't like anime, I'd have to wonder why you're on this site (there was one person I had to get banned - it was terrible. (you may answer in any way you like)

2) Have you been harassed verbally by someone on the site who obviously doesn't like anime?

3) DONUTS!!!!!!

My Answers to My Questions

1) It takes a village to raise a child, but it takes a child to enjoy anime. My inner child is more alive than my outer adult will ever be, so anime is my final answer.

2) Yep, and I gave them a second chance to leave me alone. They got a firm boot up the - why hello there, isn't that a cute puppy!

3) WHERE!!!!!! ME HUNGRY!!!!! EAT DONUTS!!!!

I know this was a long post and I thank you all for your comments yesterday!

Tired.... murgh... ::drools::
Hello all, and thank you for the comments. I'll be doing one of those "Piro art days" if you ever read Megatokyo (It just means there's not much to tell, and I'm in an extremely lazy mood). I had a small migraine last night, and I think it had something to do with jury duty on Monday. It's gone now after my uncalled-for 10 hours of sleep.
Anyway, I think this will cheer me up anyday. If I'm really down, there's always this site too.

Here's my picture of Misuzu:

I bought two non-photo blue pencils today to help me with my lines. I'll be practicing all summer hopefully.

Yep it was a short post. I hope you enjoyed it!

Questions:

1) How many mega-migraines have you had? If you've counted, how many mini-migraines?

2) Do you drink Diet Sodas? Aspartame or Nutrasweet sweeteners?

Jury Duty
I guess you know by the title why I didn't post yesterday. It was so ridiculous too. The pre-trial lasted so long (about two hours of waiting in the hallway of the courthouse) and the case was so disturbing, the guy "allegedly" killed a boy under the age of 6. I could tell by the end of jury selection that he was guilty, I mean really guilty and his lawyers were covering up that fact a little less obviously than I would have guessed. The defense attorney was so obviously fighting an uphill battle. I saw it in his cornered fox-like attitude. Really charismatic and overly so. All things said and done, I'm writing my blog today so I wasn't picked. I'm really glad I wasn't, even though I would've been paid $40 a day for Tuesday through Friday ($160!!). I believe I waited longer yesterday by practically doing nothing than ever before. I eventually put away my DS and drew some things about my day before I even got inside the courtroom.

Needless to say, the courthouse had Wi-fi, but there was no access for my DS. I nearly cried...T-T

After my group of 77 people got out of the questioning phase. They deliberated for what seemed like another two hours until 13 people were chosen from the first and second rows. I was in the last row. When I finally left, I learned that the later two thirds of the jury pool were just having their time wasted. Lucky me, I was number 76. During the final deliberations on the jury, I drew another drawing. It contains my rendition of "Scream", but I labeled it "Subpoena".

Yesterday was a waste of not only my time, but my willingness to cooperate with the state on civic matters. Eleven and a half hours is far too long to select a jury, and if I ever see those lawyers again, I'm requesting a later date for my jury duty. I don't care if I see them in the trial I'm going to or not...

Questions:

1) What does "civic duty" mean to you?
2) What is your favorite kind of animal?

Answers:

1) It means waiting for long periods of time for nothing to affect you, except the lack of a day's pay.
2) I've named the sea sponge, but I also really like hawks and falcons.

(Answer to Hoaryu's question):
I play the Pokemon Pearl version

So long for today!

Finally free! And Some Foreshadowing!

I'm so glad it's over!! Classes and whatnot all behind me, at least for now. I don't know my grades, but If they're all D's (except for Trig) I can truly graduate. I have an almost guaranteed A in that Inventor class, so all the others except Trig I have cause to worry about. Now I can play Pokemon and write stories and draw to my heart's content.
I couldn't beat the Elite four last night when I ran out of revives against number four. I can't believe the elite four is that difficult for the level you can get to them with. At the end I was up against five Pokemon, all ten or more levels ahead of mine. Good thing I saved before fighting them and not once in-between, It saved me thousands in game $.

My story finally got a page added to it, please enjoy!

Chapter 3: Part 2

Kai reluctantly trudged over to the academy. There was no one stand in front of the school, just as he expected. When he entered the class, the teacher Mister Ayasugi merely looked at the intrusion and went on with the lesson. Kai reached his seat next to Yoshi and sat down.

“What happened?” Yoshi whispered softly.

“I don’t want to talk about it right now.”

“The story has gone around and many of the students are scared of you. I heard that you attacked Konsetsuo.”

“No, it wasn’t me who attacked him. He was definitely the one who attacked me, him and his baseless honor.”

“Are you two quite done?” Ayasugi, had an irritated look in his eye, the one you could see, anyway.

“Yes sir!” Kai said back in military form.

No student in this class would ever be able to find a good enough reason to get on Ayasugi’s bad side. He was too much of a ruthless looking person. His left eye was heavily bandaged all the time, and some came to guess that it was to cover up that he had lost his eye.

Kai dared not to disturb the class again, and neither did Yoshi, so the two of them sat in silence for the rest of class.

“Class is dismissed!” Ayasugi finally said ten minutes later than the lesson was planned to end.
“Kai, I’ll need to see you for a minute,” Ayasugi said as he was about to walk out of the door. Some of the students turned and looked at Kai with a look of fear in their eyes. Kai heard someone murmur, “no one’s ever had a talk with sensei after class before… I wonder what he’ll do to him.”
“Come here Kai,” Mr. Ayasugi beckoned.

“What do you want, sir?”

“I’ve heard stories of you attacking a student of mine, I have to confirm it.”

“I attacked nobody, and the conflict was resolved without bodily harm.”

“Good, but the absence of Konsetsuo today has me worried. Tell me exactly what happened.”

Kai went over the details of the previous day’s misadventure.

“You broke his sword?! That’s bound to get Konsetsuo punished severely. I hope you can return it today. I’m excusing you from physical training so you can return the sword, but be careful. That family has had its fair share of demons and you may encounter a particularly edgy member. Whatever you do, don’t give the sword back to Konsetsuo or his uncle. Ask for his mother or his father.”

“I think I understand.”

“That’s good enough.”

FORESHADOWING... WOOOOoooOOOOoooOOO.

Questions:

1) Do you think English grammar is too complex?
2) Don't you just love suspense?

HAGS as they say (HAVE A GREAT SUMMER!!) Don't worry! I'll still be here, but I'm happy there's no school.

The Final Finisher of Things
Once again a short post is required today. I'm having to put the finishing touches on my final project in my Autodesk Inventor class. I saved a screenshot for you all:

It's a technic frontloader model. It's honestly not a replica of the actual model I was mimicking, because I couldn't see all the connections. It looks similar and I spent a long time making all the pieces fit. Enjoy! I should be able to relax a little tomorrow, and maybe write the next part of my story. It's supposed to get interesting next.

Questions:

1) What is the hardest school project you've ever done?

2) If you had a summer reading requirement for school, what was your least favorite?

Still Not Failing?
Sorry for the short post.

It's still possible I might fail Physics, but I gave up caring after yesterday's final. If I have to take it again, I'm going to make sure my teacher doesn't believe I'm retarded first. This woman's teaching style has really messed with my way of learning, mostly because they don't mesh... I'm a hands-on and audio-visual learner. That pretty much covers the two types, so to explain the problem: She can't speak English! She doesn't draw good diagrams! She doesn't make grammatical sense more than half the time! It drove me nuts this semester, and it was the cause of my class-skipping which occurred a number of times (why stay if I can't learn anything?). I'm hoping and hoping and hoping that I don't have to wait another semester here to get a stinkin' diploma. Tonights agenda includes finishing my overly complicated 3D model of a LEGO Technic front-loader, and taking my Trig Final.

The answer to question #4 yesterday, just in case you didn't read my comment is: the patches. The patches for MMOs keep you addicted, while the patches for cigarettes help you quit. A little humor in the dark days of finals week...

Thank you for your comments!!!

Not Failing?

Well, my relapse of severe High-school Senioritis attacked me thoroughly this semester, but I think I'll be getting out of it with a nice half-round D. I can't blame Pokemon for it, because it came out just a few weeks ago and I've had it for two. My GPA, poor thing never stood a chance... I'm getting a D (confirmed) in my AC circuits class and I'm probably getting a C in my Internship Coop class. I think the Physics final tonight can squeeze me out with a D at least, and I really don't have to worry about Trig since we didn't cover proofs in "Technical Trig". Worry has plagued me for the past two weeks and peaked on Monday. So many unrealistic project goals... I have the opportunity to get four D's this semester, and I just might even squeeze an F if I'm not careful (that's right "squeeze an F"). I don't normally do so bad in one semester, but I'd like to blame this danged Internship class. Granted, I'd not be posting so often if it weren't for this job with extraordinary low pay and restricted work weeks, but I'm pretty happy even though I'm not getting a free lunch every time I show up to work... Back to the topic of not failing... I really have my doubts about having to take another semester here at the good old Richland Campus, but I do intend to take a semester of Japanese when I've got nothing better to do. Learning should be a hobby, but if your brain isn't cooperating it's not the best hobby to have.

POKEMON

What 70 hours? Geez I'm such a kid. I'm even playing it as I type this blog. I can't believe I got stuck for 10 hours + in the storyline. It turns out I was supposed to go to a library in the game. Me? Go to a library? HA! I couldn't power-level either... I was BORED.

This Past Weekend in Detail

Saturday was something, no I literally can't remember it. I stayed home all day and woke up at about 1 or 2 PM. I rearranged my computer desk, because there's no point in having a monitor taking up table-space without a computer hooked up to it. Now it's a drawing desk. I'll have to use it this weekend. Sunday was cool, I looked at the clock when I woke up and it said 12:30. I decided not to go to the weekly DnD minis tournament. After that, for some reason I still can't remember anything... After church and dinner though Caesar, my non-otaku friend and I went to my house and really just had fun doing nearly nothing. I popped in Excel Saga and tried my best to explain the reasons behind the abstract humor I've learned from it for the first time watcher.

Questions:

1) Have you ever signed up for a class you wished you hadn't? Did you drop it?
2) Have you ever put on a costume just for the hell of it? At a party?
3) Have you ever been addicted to video games?
4) What's the difference between MMORPGs and cigarettes? (10 points!)

That's all for now!

Just Another Day?
Well, exams are next week, so I think I can have a valid graduation ceremony today. It really sucks that I have to worry whether or not it’s bogus. Yeah, exams are after graduation. Its rather silly, but it makes room for the May-mester courses that start right after Spring semester.

Spider-man 3

My friend Caesar1280 came into town all the way from Arkansas yesterday to watch Spider-man 3 at the midnight showing early this morning. He thoroughly enjoyed it.

My Review:
Stan Lee really doesn’t like Mary Jane… He’s got some sort of problem with red-heads that’s probably the result of some past break-up many years ago. I won’t go into details of my thoughts that prove this, because I don’t write spoilers. The story, overall, was fairly simple and virtuous. Though sometimes I had to cover my eyes to shield them from the ever-so-dorky portrayal of Peter Parker, I think the movie wasn’t too bad. There are problems with continuity (as there always is) and the cameo appearance of Bruce Campbell was my personal highlight of the movie (my expectations of zombies, a shotgun, and a chainsaw arm were dashed to pieces). I have to say that the movie brought back one word repeatedly to my mind: “douche-bag”. I do recommend that you see it, so you can see what I mean.

Graduation presents!

It’s apparently that time of year to get into the spirit of giving, but only to anyone who is getting ready to leave some form of educational facility with a sheet of paper tagged to their back. As I am one of those, I’m pretty happy, but my sister is also graduating this month from High School. She’s even got a pending acception into Texas State University’s business school in San Marcos. I wish I had the willpower to make my grades turn out to be A’s. I got my sister a DS lite and a copy of Pokemon Diamond for her graduation present. I took it inside the house yesterday and started playing it right in front of her and my mom. It’s pink and mine is blue, so I was wondering how long it would take for her to notice it (that and playing a pink DS is totally un-emasculating). My mom eventually pointed it out to her that my DS was pink. I totally got glomped, and my sister isn’t really a fangirl either. I just know that I’m about to come into some glittery goodness of my own after I graduate, and I’m pretty excited about it (if it ends up bogus, I’m not going to leech any more stuff out of anybody by walking the stage a second time if I don’t really earn it this time).

1) What’s your major? If you're in high school, then what do you expect it to be?
2) What’s your favorite scary movie?
3) What will you wear to Pirates of the Caribbean 3?

This week is brought to you by Schoolwork - the other thing I can't seem to do
Wow! this semester has gone by so fast! One day I'm getting hired into this crappy job where the greatest perk is hours of paid free time. It's not all its cracked up to be, because I've grown so lax that I can't seem to do anything in my classes without a herculean mental effort. I've got a Powerpoint presentation to do now, so this is the end of my post.

Do I REALLY have to catch them all?

Well, I gave in to the many posts concerning a game that has haunted my past and kept me safe at the same time. It kept me safe by keeping me inside one very "dangerous" summer. It taunted me and made me do things I should have found unnecessary I played it until the game had 400 hours of play on it, I played it until I had every single aspect of the game covered. That game was Pokemon Silver. I went so far as to raise level 100s from eggs for the sake of having the perfect moves. I planned every move and smoked the elite four dozens of times. My skin lost a lot of color that summer, but luckily for it, there was summer camp. My payload of batteries was low, and the sun continued to beat down upon my weakened flesh. The "fresh" air was merely a means for me to lose my sanity. The trees' pollen polluting my nasal passages, I began to suffer. The rest is written in the history books - the ones I'm not willing to write.

This game really is good. I've already played 30 hours just over the weekend, and I didn't even leave it on when I fell asleep. I'm really disappointed by some of the new Pokemon though. My best electric type doesn't evolve, and even won't learn more than two electric moves on its own... ARRRGH! Its about time I got something to do.

Breaking News

This past weekend has not been just the story of a slacker playing his new game. My brother finally got married on Saturday. He and his wife, went to Vegas for the weekend, bought a suit and dress, and had a very nice 4.5 minute wedding. They came back to town yesterday to celebrate. I had a glass of wine and some cake that tasted so good that I couldn't eat all of it, I probably should have had more wine...

Wow, this weekend was busy

My aunt and uncle came to town Friday along with my cousin Adam from Texas State University to watch the Byron Nelson [golf]. Friday night, I stayed at the house of a friend of mine and played Pokemon until 4am. The next day I went to help some other friends of mine move into their new apartment about 20 miles away. I ended up watching "Die Another Day" and playing Pokemon at the same time. After that I went home and decided to look for a LEGO set that I need for a project. Wal-mart sucked, Target didn't have it, and even TOYS R US didn't have it! Doesn't anybody sell TECHNIC sets anymore??!!?! I ended up having to look through all of my LEGO pieces to find the single piece I have that looks like the one I need measurements for. It's no easy task when you have 2500+ pieces. I spent the rest of the day playing Pokemon.

DRAWINGS

Here's the picture of Misuzu I drew.
Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket
I'm still working on the wallpaper (coloring is hard work sometimes)
Well, the title of this section is pictures, but I don't feel like scanning anything today... sorry.

Questions:

1) Have you ever wanted to be a Ninja when you grew up?

2) Have you taken any classes on the subject?

3) Would you be willing to show up at the first showing of "Pirates of the Caribbean III" in a Ninja costume?

Well, my fellow Otakuites, stay frosty
