   Today sucks

I need to go vote today, if I want to do it early. The bus won't take me to an early voting station if I wait until tomorrow. Damn weekend routes.
EDIT: I have just spent one hour and twenty minutes in line to vote. I ran all the way to my class, but I was 12 minutes late. :( The rest of the class was pretty decent about it though. And now everything seems to be running smoothly. *fingers crossed*

Also, I have fallen once more from my diet. Damn eclairs with vanilla custard from Caribou and damn Weaver Street Market for making the best bagels in the world.

AND, the maintenance guys are coming by my apartment to change the air filter and check the smoke detector while I'm out. If the cat (Stanley) doesn't lay low, they might ask questions about him because he is not mentioned on my recently signed lease and, so, not "paid for." Then, I'll be out a pretty penny, I assure you. Balls!
EDIT: Luckily, the guy who came to my apartment was the one who could care less that i'm cheating the complex out of a pet deposit. Yay! And StanMan is safe.

Drinking Coffee

I'm not doing much this morning (erm...rather...afternoon). Certainly not work that needs to be done *sigh* such a dreary day. I am strapping on the coffee pretty heavily this morning though. Maybe I will perk up a bit later? Watching Cowboy Bebop on DVD...

Yaoi Wallpaper

I've just posted a yaoi wallpaper of yummy Yami Bakura and Marik. Check it out and tell me what you think. If you don't like yaoi, I'm not interested in any yaoi-disparaging comments, so please don't comment in that case. Thanks!

   Feeling Depressed

I have to return some really cute shoes I bought from Zappos.com today. They were two pair of stilletto heeled sandals (white and red leather, really cute). They just weren't acceptible. The heel of the white pair rattled--something was loose in it. And the red pair had a really long strap that wasn't adjustable. Drat! Foiled again. :(

   Bakura

I've posted a few Bakura wallpapwers. (I luv him!) If you have a chance, tell me what you think!

I'll probably make at least two more Bakura ones and maybe another Hellsing. I haven't had time to work on those Wolf's Rain ones yet. *shakes head* promises, promises.

On the Way to Campus This Morning

I met a girl whom I kinda know at the bus stop. It's awkward, because I don't know if I should sit with her on the bus. I decide to sit across the aisle because there are plenty of empty seats--only it's not directly across the aisle, it's a bit up and across. Anyway, I think she thinks that I don't like her much now because when we get off at the same stop, she walks ahead of me. Well, we meet up later at Caribou Coffee and I offer her the free coffee I just got with my handy-dandy coupon. She declines (but seems pleased I offered--so now we're pals again), but this total freeloader who came in for water asks if he can have it. Well, it's more coffee than I can sink before it would get cold, so I hand it over. He insists on giving me a hug, which was alright, 'cause he was kind of cushy. He said "thanks" and that I smelled nice and we parted ways. Sometimes Chapel Hill is a great town. Where people are really nice and happy to give you coffee. Other times, you sit on the bus that passes the liquor store and have to listen to old, grouchy, uneducated men swear like sailors because they think it'll impress the college kids. *sigh* Of course, it doesn't. There's nothing impressive about a four-letter-word vocabulary.

In other news, I'm wearing a pair of my most favorite shoes, Carma, from Two Lips. Aren't they cute? I have a huge shoe fetish, and I love the retro style of Two Lips shoes. I have 6 pair of this brand of shoe and plans of buying a few more when they go on sale.

Retrophantasma

Yay! Tonight is retrophantasma night at the Carolina Theatre. My friends and I are going to eat out (I don't know where yet) and watch Romero's "The Crazies" and whatever else showing in this double feature. For those of you living in middle Carolina and who like B-movie horror, this monthly event is not to be missed!

In other news, I'm getting a new computer at the office. Finally, I can chuck this beige-box monitor for a flat panel. However, I don't know if my CPU will be as chunky as it is now. I also don't know if there will be a DVD drive on the thing. Wouldn't that be nice?
*dreams*
I could bring in a DVD on days when I student conference. I'm SURE to be stood up about 1/4 of the time by evil students who drag me out of my nice, warm bed to listen to them gripe about how they are not "B" students, so why are they getting a "B"? Grades are not an identity, folks. Sorry. You are more than the sum of your grades. Please, remember to have a little dignity and not "grade-grub."

300 Downloads

Yay! I now have over 300 downloads of my wallpapers (not counting those that were deleted because of the cursor fiasco--for details, see below). I think that's really cool. Something tells me that there are lots of InuYasha and Sesshoumaru fans out there, but I intend to keep producing Hellsing and other wallpapers anyway. Thanks to everyone who likes my wallpapers!

Wolf's Rain, anyone?

I haven't had time to do any photoshopping lately. However, I have the Wolf's Rain domestic DVDs up to vol. 3, and I'm thinking of doing some capturing and editting this weekend. I might also try my hand at some Bakura wallpapers, but the talent I've already seen on these boards has me a bit standoffish in that respect. Dragonxpuppy and Master Marik do some really sweet YuGiOh wallpapers. Check them out.

Edit: SesshTaisho also has some nice YGO papers up. Now, if I can only convince her to do some yaoi versions....
