   Hugs and bless!
Psalm 1: 2-3
But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.
And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season
; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.

Psalm 18: 3, 30-31, 46
I will call upon the LORD, who is worthy to be praised: so shall I be saved from mine enemies.
[...]
As for God, his way is perfect: the word of the LORD is tried: he is a buckler to all those that trust in him.
For who is God save the LORD? or who is a rock save our God?
[...]
The LORD liveth; and blessed be my rock; and let the God of my salvation be exalted.

Equus: Well, I need to do better at work, at being "upright in heart". I'm a better worker than I was when I started (of course) but I just need to do better personally as well.

Xihuitl: If any one is interested, you can get a free video about the last week of Christ's mortal ministry, The Lamb of God, by calling 800-720-9400.

Equus: And we need to work on the valley.

Xihuitl: Along with all your other projects.

Equus: Heh. ^^; True. I was going to visit a friend to work on her manuscript, but her mom just got home. So....Instead, I get to visit you guys!

Kyo-clone: Wow. That sounded nice.

Equus: What?

Xihuitl: Equus didn't mean a slight to anyone, K-c, and you know it.

Equus: o.o What did I say?

Xihuitl: Oh, no. K-c.

Kyo-clone: But...I...(mumbling) Sorry.

Equus: Aw. (glomps K-c) I forgive you!

K-c: O.O

Xihuitl: And just a note, for anyone who might be interested. Equus's eyes can change color, depending (as is the case with such a feat) on her mood. Usually they're violet; this includes if she's happy or confused. If she becomes sad or too tired, they turn blue. If she's angry, they turn red.

Equus: Yep! ^_^

Xihuitl: God loves you all! May you feel His love and follow Him.

Equus: And, if anyone wants to know--I personally know that the Church of Jesus Christ is God's one fully true church on the earth today. He loves us all and wants us to return home to Him. And you can know such things for sure for yourself, too. God wants you to know for yourself. Ask Him in faith and sincerity, and you can. Take care.

K-c: Here are your pocket hugs for this weekend.

Equus: Love to you all!

Fact of the day: Sometimes when the name of a place includes words from another language, we're being redundant. Examples include: the Los Angeles area ("los" is a form of "the" in Spanish) or Mount Kilimanjaro or Mount Fujiyama ("kilima" and "yama" are "mountain" in Kiswahili/Bantu and Japanese).

(from A Word a Day's current mail issue)

Several years ago we had a young paperboy who didn’t always deliver the paper in the manner intended. Instead of getting the paper on the porch, he sometimes accidentally threw it into the bushes or even close to the street. Some on his paper route decided to start a petition of complaint. One day a delegation came to our home and asked my wife, Frances, to sign the petition. She declined, saying, “Why, he’s just a little boy, and the papers are so heavy for him. I would never be critical of him, for he tries his best.” The petition, however, was signed by many of the others on the paper route and sent to the boy’s supervisors.
Not many days afterward, I came home from work and found Frances in tears. When she was finally able to talk, she told me that she had just learned that the body of the little paperboy had been found in his garage, where he had taken his own life. Apparently the criticism heaped upon him had been too much for him to bear. How grateful we were that we had not joined in that criticism. What a vivid lesson this has always been regarding the importance of being nonjudgmental and treating everyone with kindness.
The Savior should be our example. As is recorded of Him, He “increased in wisdom and stature, and in favour with God and man.” 9 He “went about doing good, … for God was with him.” 10
Remember that ofttimes the wisdom of God appears as foolishness to men, but the greatest single lesson we can learn in mortality is that when God speaks and a man obeys, that man will always be right.
May we ever follow the Prince of Peace, who literally showed the way for us to follow, for by doing so, we will survive these turbulent times. His divine plan can save us from the dangers which surround us on every side. His example points the way. When faced with temptation, He shunned it. When offered the world, He declined it. When asked for His life, He gave it.
Now is the time. This is the place. May we follow Him, I pray, in the name of Jesus Christ, amen.

   Zzzzzz.........
“Wherefore, if ye shall be obedient to the commandments, and endure to the end, ye shall be saved at the last day. And thus it is” (1 Ne. 22:31).
“Be patient in afflictions, for thou shalt have many; but endure them, for, lo, I am with thee, even unto the end of thy days” (D&C 24:8).
“Behold, we count them happy which endure” (James 5:11).
Examples of faithfully enduring to the end are taught by prophets of all ages as they demonstrate courage while enduring trials and tribulations to carry forth the will of God. Our greatest example comes from the life of our Savior and Redeemer, Jesus Christ.[...]
Often we do not know what we can endure until after a trial of our faith.
~ Elder Robert D. Hales, "Behold, We Count Them Happy Which Endure", Ensign, May 1998, 76

And the Lord will be with us through those trials.

An interesting thing I read....

Q: What is the shortest chapter in the Bible?
A: Psalms 117
Q: What is the longest chapter in the Bible?
A: Psalms 119
Q: Which chapter is in the center of the Bible?
A: Psalms 118
Fact: There are 594 chapters before Psalms 118
Fact: There are 594 chapters after Psalms 118
Add these numbers up and you get 1188.
Q: What is the center verse in the Bible?
A: Psalms 118:8
"It is better to trust in the LORD than to put confidence in man."

Psalms 55:22 "Cast thy burden upon the Lord, and He shall sustain thee. He shall never suffer the righteous to be moved."
And remember--prayer "is the first, the middle, and the last thing to do." We can truly talk with our Heavenly Father, because He listens, loves us, and responds through His Holy Spirit. His answers may not come in the time and way we expect, but His Spirit will assure us of His presence and love when we have faith. Stay true. ^_^

Friend of the day: Skyelark! Who actually hasn't been on in a while. u.u Where are you, Skyelark?

Xihuitl: And Equus will be going to get ready for bed, since she has once again deprived herself of so much sleep that, combined with poor eating habits, she was not terribly well today.

Equus: -.-

Kurama #3: Miss Equus?

Equus: zzzz

Xihuitl: *sigh* Get her on my back, Kurama #3, and we'll get her somewhere to sleep other than the computer chair. Thanks to Night Shade2 and Refi-chan. Hope you like the beavers, Refi. They like to read. And as for a Cadfael, it's actually the main character of a book series, a set of medieval murder mysteries. Cadfael (said "cad-file") is a Welshman, a roughly 60-year Benedectine monk. Bye, all. We love you.

Psalm 7: 1, 7, 10
O Lord my God, in thee do I put my trust: save me from all them that persecute me, and deliver me:
[...]
So shall the congregation of the people compass thee about: for their sakes therefore return thou on high.
[...]
My defence is of God, which saveth the upright in heart.

   Just a couple quick thoughts.
Just a quick note to share these.

Psalm 4:5
Offer the sacrifices of righteousness, and put your trust in the Lord."

Psalm 5: 7-8
But as for me, I will come into thy housein the multitude of thy mercy: and in thy fear will I worship toward thy holy temple.
Lead me, O Lord, in thy righteousness beacuse of mine enemies; make thy way straight before my face.

Love and hugs and pocket hugs. God bless you all. Remember, He and Jesus Christ love you!

May you feel the Holy Spirit's guidance in your lives.

   Cadfael rocks!
God will never let us suffer more than we can bear, and He will help us through all things if we turn to and follow Him. He loves us. God and Jesus Christ and Their people will always win, when all is said and done. Believe and have faith. Follow the Holy Ghost.

3 Nephi 18: 16, 19, 25
And as I have prayed among you even so shall ye pray in my church, among my people who do repent and are baptized in my name. Behold I am the light; I have set an example for you.
[...]
Therefore ye must always pray unto the Father in my name;
[...]
And ye see that I have commanded that none of you should go away, but rather have commanded that ye should come unto me, that ye might feel and see; even so shall ye do unto the world; and whosoever breaketh this commandment suffereth himself to be led into temptation.

3 Nephi 19: 3, 21-22, 28, 30
Yea, and even all the night it was noised abroad concerning Jesus; and insomuch did they send forth unto the people that there were many, yea, an exceedingly great number, did labor exceedingly all that night, that they might be on the morrow in the place where Jesus should show himself unto the multitude.
[...]
Father, I pray thee that thou wilt give the Holy Ghost unto all them that shall believe in their words.
Father, thou hast given them the Holy Ghost because they believe in me; and thou seest that they believe in me because thou hearest them, and they pray unto me; and they pray unto me because I am with them.
[...]
Father, I thank thee that thou hast purified those whom I have chosen, because of their faith, and I pray for them, and also for them who shall believe on their words, that they may be purified in me, through faith on their words, even as they are purified in me.
[...]
And when Jesus had spoken these words he came again unto his disciples; and behold they did pray steadfastly, without ceasing, unto him; and he did smile upon them again; and behold they were white, even as Jesus.

3 Nephi 20: 1, 23, 26-27
And it came to pass that he commanded the multitude that they should cease to pray, and also his disciples. And he commanded them that they should not cease to pray in their hearts.
[...]
Behold, I am he of whom Moses spake, saying: A prophet shall the Lord your God raise up unto you of your brethren, like unto me; him shall ye hear in all things whatsoever he shall say unto you. And it shall come to pass that every soul who will not hear that prophet shall be cut off from among the people.
[...]
The Father having raised me up unto you first, and sent me to bless you in turning away every one of you from his iniquities; and this because ye are the children of the covenant—
And after that ye were blessed then fulfilleth the Father the covenant which he made with Abraham, saying: In thy seed shall all the kindreds of the earth be blessed——unto the pouring out of the Holy Ghost through me upon the Gentiles, which blessing upon the Gentiles shall make them mighty above all[...]

Job 27: 3, 5-6
All the while my breath is in me, and the spirit of God is in my nostrils;
[...]till I die I will not remove mine integrity from me.
My righteousness I hold fast, and will not let it go: my heart shall not reproach me so long as I live.

O Zion, that bringest good tidings, get thee up into the high mountain; O Jerusalem, that bringest good tidings, lift up thy voice with strength; lift it up, be not afraid; say unto the cities of Judah, Behold your God!

"We should not underestimate or overlook the power of the Lord's tender mercies. The simpleness, the sweetness, and the constancy of the tender mercies of the Lord will do much to fortify and protect us in the troubled times in which we do now and will yet live. When words cannot provide the solace we need or express the joy we feel, when it is simply futile to attempt to explain that which is unexplainable, when logic and reason cannot yield adequate understanding about the injustices and inequities of life, when mortal experience and evaluation are insufficient to produce a desired outcome, and when it seems that perhaps we are so totally alone, truly we are blessed by the tender mercies of the Lord and made mighty even unto the power of deliverance (see 1 Nephi 1:20)."

And it came to pass that Jesus blessed them as they did pray unto him; and his countenance did smile upon them, and the light of his countenance did shine upon them, and behold they were as white as the countenance and also the garments of Jesus; and behold the whiteness thereof did exceed all the whiteness, yea, even there could be nothing upon earth so white as the whiteness thereof.
And Jesus said unto them: Pray on; nevertheless they did not cease to pray.
And he turned from them again, and went a little way off and bowed himself to the earth; and he prayed again unto the Father, saying:
Father, I thank thee that thou hast purified those whom I have chosen, because of their faith, and I pray for them, and also for them who shall believe on their words, that they may be purified in me, through faith on their words, even as they are purified in me.

3 Nephi 21: 20, 22-29
For it shall come to pass, saith the Father, that at that day whosoever will not repent and come unto my Beloved Son, them will I cut off from among my people, O house of Israel;
[...]
But if they will repent and hearken unto my words, and harden not their hearts, I will establish my church among them, and they shall come in unto the covenant and be numbered among this the remnant of Jacob, unto whom I have given this land for their inheritance;
And they shall assist my people, the remnant of Jacob, and also as many of the house of Israel as shall come, that they may build a city, which shall be called the New Jerusalem.
And then shall they assist my people that they may be gathered in, who are scattered upon all the face of the land, in unto the New Jerusalem.
And then shall the apower of heaven come down among them; and I also will be in the midst.
And then shall the work of the Father commence at that day, even when this gospel shall be preached among the remnant of this people. Verily I say unto you, at that day shall the work of the Father commence among all the dispersed of my people, yea, even the tribes which have been lost, which the Father hath led away out of Jerusalem.
Yea, the work shall commence among all the dispersed of my people, with the Father to prepare the way whereby they may come unto me, that they may call on the Father in my name.
Yea, and then shall the work commence, with the Father among all nations in preparing the way whereby his people may be gathered home to the land of their inheritance.
And they shall go out from all nations; and they shall anot go out in haste, nor go by flight, for I will go before them, saith the Father, and I will be their rearward.

3 Nephi 22: 1-2, 4-5
And then shall that which is written come to pass: Sing, O barren, thou that didst not bear; break forth into singing, and cry aloud, thou that didst not travail with child; for more are the children of the desolate than the children of the married wife, saith the Lord.
Enlarge the place of thy tent, and let them stretch forth the curtains of thy habitations; spare not, lengthen thy cords and strengthen thy stakes;
[...]
Fear not, for thou shalt not be ashamed; neither be thou confounded, for thou shalt not be put to shame; for thou shalt forget the shame of thy youth, and shalt not remember the reproach of thy youth, and shalt not remember the reproach of thy widowhood any more.
For thy maker, thy husband, the Lord of Hosts is his name; and thy Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel—the God of the whole earth shall he be called.

   Guess what?
3 Nephi 21: 4, 6-7, 9-10, 22
Verily, verily, I say unto you, when these things shall be made known unto them of the Father, and shall come forth of the Father, from them unto you;
For it is wisdom in the Father that they should be established in this land, and be set up as a free people by the power of the Father, that these things might come forth from them unto a remnant of your seed, that the covenant of the Father may be fulfilled which he hath covenanted with his people, O house of Israel;
[...]
For thus it behooveth the Father that it should come forth from the Gentiles, that he may show forth his power unto the Gentiles, for this cause that the Gentiles, if they will not harden their hearts, that they may repent and come unto me and be baptized in my name and know of the true points of my doctrine, that they may be numbered among my people, O house of Israel;
And when these things come to pass that thy seed shall begin to know these things—it shall be a sign unto them, that they may know that the work of the Father hath already commenced unto the fulfilling of the covenant which he hath made unto the people who are of the house of Israel.
[...]
For in that day, for my sake shall the Father work a work, which shall be a great and a marvelous work among them; and there shall be among them those who will not believe it, although a man shall declare it unto them.
But behold, the life of my servant shall be in my hand; therefore they shall not hurt him, although he shall be amarred because of them. Yet I will heal him, for I will show unto them that my wisdom is greater than the cunning of the devil.
[...]
But if they will repent and hearken unto my words, and harden not their hearts, I will establish my church among them, and they shall come in unto the covenant and be numbered among this the remnant of Jacob, unto whom I have given this land for their inheritance;

3 Ne. 22: 4-8
For the Lord hath called thee as a woman forsaken and grieved in spirit, and a wife of youth, when thou wast refused, saith thy God.
For a small moment have I forsaken thee, but with great mercies will I gather thee.
In a little wrath I hid my face from thee for a moment, but with everlasting kindness will I have mercy on thee, saith the Lord thy Redeemer.

Equus: Baaaa, baba ba ba ba baaaam! Welcome to the birthday celebration! What birthday celebration, you may ask? Or rather, whose birthday? This is a special celebration, not in honor of any single individuals' birthday, but in honor of everybody's birthday. And most especially, to welcome the cyber mini unicorns to MyO and you all to their valley!

Xihuitl: In the farmhouse, we have refreshments, board games like chess and Outrage!, and movies like P&P and The Emperor's New Groove, plus select (and edited) anime and manga. Kurama #3 will be taking care of the guests who wish to hang out here for a while. For those who wish to visit the unicorns' home, please follow Emeraulde, Equus, and myself to their valley.

Equus: God be with you all. He and Jesus Christ love you!

Kakashi #8: If you have any trouble in the valley, please just let us know. There are a few things that need to be fixed, a couple paths that are still being cleared. They've provided detours until those are finished. Thank you for your patience.

PS--Feel free to add in the comments what you're doing. ^_^ G-rated, please!

God be with you!

Fact of the day: The large poodles actually were originally hunting dogs. The "poofy" hair cut left fur to protect their joints when they'd go into the water to retrieve the prey.

(from my hodgepodge of accumulated knowledge)

So let the power of love guide us in sharing the gospel with family members, friends, neighbors, business associates, and any other people we encounter as we go through life. Most everyone wants to enjoy peace and happiness. That is a natural human desire. People want to find answers to the problems they face. This is increasingly true in the world we now live in.
Professional advancement, increased income, bigger homes, or newer cars and recreational equipment do not bring lasting peace and happiness. Happiness comes from understanding God and knowing that He has a plan for our eternal joy and peace. Happiness comes from knowing and loving the Savior and living our lives in accordance with His teachings. Happiness comes from strong family and Church relationships based on gospel values.
Some members say, “I’m afraid to share the gospel because I might offend someone.” Experience has shown that people are not offended when the sharing is motivated by the spirit of love and concern. How could anyone be offended when we say something like this: “I love the way my church helps me” and then add whatever the Spirit directs. It’s when we appear only to be fulfilling an assignment and we fail to express real interest and love that we offend others. Don’t ever forget, brothers and sisters, that you and I have in our possession the very points of doctrine that will bring people to the Lord. The restored gospel of Jesus Christ has within it the power to bring deep and abiding happiness to the human soul—something that will be valued and cherished for the rest of time and for all eternity. We are not just trying to get people to join our Church; we are sharing with them the fulness of the restored gospel of Jesus Christ. But as powerful as our message is, it cannot be imposed or forced upon people. It can only be shared—heart to heart, soul to soul, spirit to spirit—by being good neighbors and by caring and showing love. We need to be watchful for one another and reach out to one another. And as we do so, we will radiate the gospel in our own lives, and it will radiate to the people the blessings the gospel has to offer.
Let us follow the admonition of the Prophet Joseph Smith, “After all that has been said, [our] greatest and most important duty is to preach the Gospel” (History of the Church, 2:478).

Kyo-clone: Well, that's really helpful, Haru #8. They don't even know what you're talking about.

Kurama #3: Why don't you explain, Kyo-clone?

K-c: >.> Refi asked if Equus's werewolf was black and white like Haru. She wore black and white, but her hair was black on top, and the rest of it was white.

Kurama #3: Now if you will excuse us, we have some stuff to do. The birthday celebration is almost ready.

Equus: Thank you, Refi-chan! Love and hugs to all!

Nehemiah 12: 42-43

Also that day they offered great sacrifices, and rejoiced: for God had made them rejoice with great joy: the wives also and the children rejoiced: so that the joy of Jerusalem was heard even afar off.
