My Avatar

Hey! I'm an odd fellow of a vacillating nature between two extremes-- utter silliness and intensely, humorouslessly, fixed upon the ills of myself and the world. Living means loving and the pursuit of joy, not happiness. I just recently discovered this, and a burden has already been lifted. I am a Christian and falling in love with God and my Savior more every day. I'm artsy fartsy. Yeah, this is a realllly indadequate introduction, but all off-handed things leave room for improvement. ^^

Well, that was fun.
So much happening, and it's all amazing. Infinitinely glad I moved here!!!

I have a JOB! Yay! I am a "picker" for the book warehouse of my church. I get a pick list and I go pick the books/music to be packaged and shipped. It's totally rad. I'm going to be getting involved with a small group, being people from the same church getting together every day of the week for fellowship. This shall happen in exactly a week. Exciting! Ummm... I have a car! But it needs work. Lots of work. Meaning lots of money. But the car only cost me a dollar. Who would complain if it's in fixable condition?

I miss you, Laura and Melony! May God's love be strongly present in your lives.

   Yippie Skippie.
So, I had my first and second interview for a janitorial/landscaping position at my new church, Heritage International Ministiries or H.I.M for short. (If any of you know the old Jim and Tammy Fay Baker Heritage USA resort, that's where I'm at. It's HUGE. MorningStar Ministies has purchased the place and is now reclaiming it for the Lord.) The interviews went so swimmingly, and God had definitely prepared my way there. Everyone I needed to talk to was immediately available, and furthermore were uncannily physically present, within 10 feet of me, exactly when I needed them. My final interview is simply to meet one of the H.I.M pastors. This is officially the deciding interview, but technically if the first two interviewers pass me on, 95% of those people are hired. Providing this is indeed God's will, and barring any unfortunate circumstances, I do believe I will be a full time landscaper come next week! :D

So much more is going on, a lot of it internal. God's getting ready to do something hugely transformative in me. I may post on this later.

"Moreover, we have all had human fathers who disciplined us and we respected them for it. How much more should we submit to the Father of our spirits and live!" --Hebrews 12:9

"If anyone wishes to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me.

or whoever wishes to save his life shall lose it; but whoever loses his life for My sake shall find it.

For what will a man be profited, if he gains the whole world, and forfeits his soul?" --Matthew 16:24-26

God's love to all.

   Job Interview.
Today. At the church. I'll be doing janitoral tasks if I'm hired (I'm 90% sure this will indeed happen), which is a good fit for me because I like to serve and I don't want to be in the spotlight.

God's provisions are visible left and right. Things are falling into place uncannily. I've been met with some opposition, of course, namely fear and tons of self-doubt, but I was seen through everything. I didn't expect this all to start happening so soon, though! It's a whirlwind of blessings.

I became privy of a prophesy concerning me. It's both scary and elating. I don't want to share specifics, but to any that stumble upon my little slice of Otaku, know that God is more real and alive than anything else I've ever known.
