Mangalatin'!
If you've PM'd me in the past month or so, and I haven't replied yet, I'M SORRY!!! I promise I'll get to you! Please don't be offended! I had a lot of studying to do all last month, so I have a lot of PM's to go through! I'm really sorry!
*Ahem*, anyway, guess what I just got back from. Barne's & Noble's, baby! And guess who I went with. My main-man Josh! I haven't seen him face to face in so long! I had a TON of new art to show him (he gets a special preview of everything I submit, heh heh). He seemed at least a little impressed with all my work. I showed him what I had finished of my 'TGOED'/Metallica project, and he said it looked really cool (please see yesterday's post for info on that project)! He's also done a lot of new art, and I got to see a sneak-peek of his Kenshin pic that he'll be submitting soon. I'm so glad my buddy is such a great artist, because I get to learn from him!
And speaking of B&N, you'll never guess what they had there for me to read. Remember when I said they didn't have Chrno Crusade yet? Well, like I said last week, B&N recently got a lot of new manga. It turns out they ran out of room for all that manga to fit on just one shelf, so they had to extend the manga area, pushing mangas starting with "A" through "C" onto a another near-by shelf (they alphabetize their manga). Soooooooooooo, it turns out that Chrno Crusade was right under my nose. ^_^' Silly me. I guess it's like my mom says, "you have to have ovaries to be able to find anything". Very true, considering that my dad and I have lost pencils and keys that were right there in our hand. Although, my brother has this uncanny ability to find things me and my dad loose like my mom does. Hmmmmmmmm.....
But, I'm thankful that I found it, and I'm even more thankful that EAMR suggested it. Though I'll save glurgeing about it for another day, let me just say for the moment that it was just as Lindsey said, "right up my alley". Ghosts, demons, and the followers of Christ that put the smack-down on them! That's exactly what Ghost Hunter's about, so I'm lovin' that manga!
I also read vol. 1 of Fullmetal Alchemist. Wicked-sweet! ~_'d
Josh read volumes 10 and 11 of Love Hina, and judging his reaction I'd say they were prit-tay hilarious. NO SPOILERS, THANK YOU!!! I hate it when people give me spoilers!
I'd love to talk more, but this post is getting pretty long, and I don't want my posts to be boring. I hate it when people use their blogs for nothing more then detailing every tiny boring event of their day, i.e.: "Bryan said this, and Melissa said this, and then Katie made a face like 'OMG!' and said this, and So & So said...". Those flippin' bore me to death!
Instead, I'll just give you the Prayer List. Note that Living Doll has been added.
My Pastor
The Victims of the Christmas Day Tsunami
Vankala 86, her friend Mel, and Mel’s fiancé as he serves in Iraq
xSakurax
Akane the Fox, her friend, and her friend's boyfriend in Re-hab

TravelingDisciple
And his friends Tigger and Floyd

And here's a great pic of Kenshin and Kaoru:
I'll see you all tomorrow!

Tooth or Dare?
Boy, I've had the munchies all day. '_'? Maybe I should lay off the wee--I mean...work-out trips!!! Yes, work-outs. I've been working out too much. That's why I have the munchies. ^_^'
If you didn't see yesterday's post, please take a look. It took me a while to type, and both go for the post before that.
Please continue to pray for Akane the Fox's oral-surgery and recovery. She's probably really swollen right about now. >.<
And speaking of the devil...I mean, dentist (bit of a Freudian-slip there, eh?), I found out that I have a dental appointment next week. XE I HATE the dentist's!
Dentist: "Oh my! Your gums are in terrible shape! They're bleeding and everything!"
Logan: "Well doc, do you think it could possibly have anything to do with that fact that you've been poking them with a sharp metal hook for the past 15 minutes?"
And what's up with that thing they cram in your mouth during the X-rays!? What is that, a broken edge of an ash-tray!?
Urgh, I just can't wait till MY wisdom teeth come in.
Anyway, I started and completed another pic last night, as well as finishing the one I mentioned the other day. Both of which were parts of my 'TGED'/Metallica project. I should be finished with my awesome project really soon, and you'll get to see just what 'The Garden of Earthly Delights' has to do with Metallica.
I can't wait till I'm done, because this project will offer some insight into the minds of my characters. The final product will show their inner struggles that are going along at the same time they're fighting in their outer struggles.
"Before you face these demons, you have to face your own"
^_^ one of the quotes that summarizes one of the many deep ideas of 'Ghost Hunter'.
In other news, Miyoko-chan has submitted another 2 stunning pics! Both of which feature characters from her manga, "The Fire Ruby".
Here, Atsuko strikes a lovely pose! (just as the title suggests)
And in this next pic, Erin did a wonderful job of correctly capturing these difficult poses:
Aren't those pics cute? I don't want to sound like I'm sucking up, but Erin's recent work has really caught my eye! You can really see how she's improved over time. Please vote & comment on those pics if you have the time.
Anyway, I'll see you all tomorrow! Here's the Prayer List:
My Pastor
The Victims of the Christmas Day Tsunami
Vankala 86, her friend Mel, and Mel’s fiancé as he serves in Iraq

Akane the Fox, her friend, and her friend's boyfriend in Re-hab

Have any of you seen that advertisement for Full-metal Alchemist on Adult Swim that uses the 1812 Overture? Oh man, that is so cool! I've always loved the 1812 Overture (I've always liked classical music for that matter ~_'), and we already know that Full-metal Alchemist is freakin' awesome, so the 2 of them coming together is spectacular! There's just so much energy in that song, so it really goes well with that great feel you get from FMA.
So does anybody here like ATHF (Aqua Teen Hunger Force)? Though I've liked it since it came out, I've only recently realized just how freakin' funny it is! It's pretty weird, and pretty random, but it's not TOO weird or random, so it's still funny! A lot of shows get a bit too weird & random, to the point where they just aren't funny anymore (Tom Goes to the Mayor, FLCL, etc.).
Fry-lock: "Can't you see the possibilities that this shrunken micro-chip possesses? We could build nano-bots, which could enter the blood-stream and battle disease."
Meat-wad: "Well, I think I can use the chip for a better reason: to battle huger, and...well, to uh, taste good." *eats the micro-chip*
Fry-lock: "Meat-wad! Did you just eat my micro-chip!?"
Meat-wad: "Well, you said it was a chip! So where's the dip? Or am I looking at it?"
Master Shake: "Whoa-ho-ho! You did not just go there!"
^_^ That's such a hilarious show!
I've been thinking about doing a pic to commemorate the fact that summer's here. I was thinking of doing a pic called "Road-Trip!", in which I'd draw chibi versions of myself with all my Otaku buddies on a...well, road-trip!
Some of the people I want to include I have no way of knowing how to draw, so, I devised I quick reference point for you guys. Please answer these and help me out, OK?
1. Do you have a particular anime way that you draw yourself in? (Like the characters that Miyoko-chan, AmiGouchi and Akane the Fox have devised for themselves)
If so, where can I find it? (i.e., in your fanart, or someplace else on the web?)
2. If you answered "no" to the previous question, do you have a photo of yourself somewhere on the web that I can view as a reference?
If so, where can I find it?
Please note that there are only so many people I can include in my pic, so please don't be offended if you're not included.
In other news, check out this excellent picture of an elf that Miyoko-chan drew!
Isn't that pretty!? I just loved the colors so much that I had to share it with all of you! I like the eyes and especially the hair! Great work, Erin-chan! ^o^d We love your artwork, and we love you!
Anyway, I'll see you all tomorrow! I gotta' go create world peace!

Hi everybody! Though this'll be filed under "Too Much Information", I just got back from working out! I'm starting a work-out plan for the summer, 'cause man, does it ever feel good! It’s true what they say about working-out being a natural mood enhancer. And with how far my emotions fluctuate (stupid teen-age hormones), I can really use the extra boost.
Anyway, I need to ask you guys to pray for Akane (Akane the Fox) today and tomorrow. She has to get oral surgery on her Wisdom teeth (something I just can't waaaaaaait to experience myself one of these days -_-'). Please pray that her surgery goes well and the after-effects are as painless as possible.
On a lighter note, my buddy Josh has officially formed a band with my other buddies Jess, JP and Thomas! Beware, all ye feeble mortals of the in comprehendible metal-might of Atrocita!
Josh just posted the logo he designed for the band along with the other members, and it looks TIGHT! Check it out:
Kicken', eh? I wish I could have thought up such a pimp logo. *sigh*
For more info on Atrocita, my buddy, or if you just haven't met Josh yet, here's another link to his site: Thunderstruck!
By the way, please ignore the fact that some perv is drawing penises on Josh's art-board on his intro. The last thing we want to do is egg him on.
I did the line-art for another segment of my 'The Garden of Earthly Delights'/Metallica series. Now all I have to do is add a back-ground and color it! And yes, I know that it's taking a long time. I'm sorry, but exams took up a lot of my drawing time!
A new QOTW (Quote of the Week) and POTW (Poll of the Week) are up, so please take a look if you haven't already.
And please take a look at yesterday's and the day before's post also if you haven't seen those already.
Thanks for your time guys, and I'll see you tomorrow!

Rock on, Baby!
So are any of you looking into this "Howl's Moving Castle" deal? I don't think it looks like a movie I'd personally like. It seems a little too freaked-up and abstract. Plus, I would really prefer a Flying Circus to a Moving Castle (about half of you got that joke and half of you didn't).
Anyway, I'd really like to thank all of you that visited and made friends with my buddy Josh, especially ElvesAteMyRamen and Miyoko-chan. It kind of bummed me that Josh wasn't that into TheOtaku on his old site, so I'm really glad he's getting to meet and learn from all the great artists on this site! Thanx everybody! ^_^d If you haven't seen his site yet, here's the link: On through the dead of night, with the Four Horsemen, Ride!
And by the way, Josh is now an honorary member of our Prayer Ring!
Anywho, our A/C broke (and wouldn't ya' know it, on the first hot day since August of 2004!). Why does the A/C always break on a hot day!? Seriously! It's NEVER broken-down on me in winter! Ah, whatever, just another bag of bricks...or another brick in the wall, depending on your musical taste. ^_^
In other news, Rosa (Vankala 86) just got back from A-Kon (anime-convention)! She's got a nice, long synopsis on her site, so here's a link if you're interested in going to A-Kon: Enter the Madness of A-Kon!
Oh, since I'm doing so many links, if you didn't hear me last time I want to give a special "thank-you" to Karen (Living Doll) for teaching me how to do those click-able text links! We love ya’, Karen!
Oh! And another thing! Guess who aced their Art and English exams today.
No, not Orlando Bloom, silly!
Nope, it wasn't Lars Ulrich either.
Claire Redfield? Guess again.
Give up? Me!!!
I'm done with exams until frikken' January! AND I'm out of SCHOOL!!! BOO-FRIKKEN-YA!!!
Thank you all so much for the prayers and support!
I +0+411y 0wn3d +h0$3 +3$+$! I mean, I totally owned those tests! Thanks again, everybody! You rock!
So, to close today's post, here's a question for today: What do you have to read for summer reading?
I only have 1 book. That's right, 1 book. Total ownage, baby! All I have to read is a book called "Shizuko's Daughter", and I'm home-free!
I'll see you all tomorrow! Oh, and if you couldn't already tell, I'm in a great mood! No more depression! =^_^=

OK, everybody! Wass' goin' on today?
I'm back from church and lunch, so I'm ready to post! I had to sit next to a massive amp in church today. @_-' I think I have hearing damage in my right ear.
Anyway, Barne's & Noble's didn't have Chrno Crusade yet. -_-' Sux, doesn't it. I reeeeeeeeally want to read it now. Well, I wanted to read it in the first place, but now I want to read it even more because of EAMR's description she gave me yesterday (she was actually the one that recommended it to me in the first pace).
I owe Elves an apology, because it turns out she was right (reeeal big surprise, ne?). So not only does it contain the cute, loveable characters a manga needs, but it apparently also has the hard-hitting ideas that touch upon the darker side of what a manga can be. Sounds frikken' awesome to me!
Speaking of our beloved member, Elves, check out what Yukina123 made for her!
Not to suck up, but I'd seriously have to agree with everything on that list when it comes to EAMR. We love ya', Lindsey!
I do have some good news about manga though. I got to finish L0v3 H!n4, err...Love Hina, vol. 9 the other day, plus I got to look at strategy guides for Resident Evil, Silent Hill, Devil May Cry, etc. (I looked through those not because I own those games, but because I learn a lot of techniques from all the cool concept art that they have in the margins).
Plus, B&N just updated all their manga, and now have the complete set of Love Hina! Josh has been waiting to read volume 10 since November, so it's about time for a manga run! (not to mention I haven't seen Josh since before Spring Break -_-').
And speaking of my buddy Josh, he's restarted his Otaku site! Josh's original site really never took off in popularity, so he decided to give TheOtaku another go with a new site and new art by the Otaku/screen name of DrunkenMaster.
I really need you guys to help me out. Please sign his guest-book and try to make friends with him and take a look at his artwork if you have time. So far he's really only met the retarded and immature people here, so we need to show my friend that there are great people on here to! He's an awesome artist (I learn from him all the time), and he's a great kid to know. Trust me. Here's a link to his site: Don’t Fear the Reaper!
Alright everybody! This post has run on long enough, so I'll be going now! Please pray for me as I take my VERY LAST 2 exams tomorrow. Hey, and maybe I'll even post a new interesting poll tomorrow when I get home.
Anyway, I'll see ya' tomorrow!
I gotta' go defeat the lord of evil and save the world (again! *ugh*).

Hi everybody. How's it going?
Ugh, my brother likes the WORST bands! He's obsessed with the Geurillaz (sp?). Jeesh, I can't stand them! They're so weird and repetitive! And they just make absolutely no sense! They look and sound like frikken' paint-sniffers! He also likes the They Might Be Giants. XP Jeesh, they're not much better. "Exquisite Dead Guy in the Window"? Psh, lame.
In more positive news, ElvesAteMyRamen just got her 6,000th hit. I'm reeeeeeealy jealous. >:\
And in even better news, guess what Miyoko-chan just found in her room.
No, not a deadly virus or a male-model, but her story! Yay for Erin-chan! \^o^/
Anyway, I'm still on my Resident Evil binge. >:D I want to play that game soooooo badly. That series should really have its own manga.
And speaking of manga, I'll be going to Barnes & Noble's today. I may just read Chrno Crusade, as recommended by EAMR. She says it deals with a lot of the same cool issues that Resident Evil does (zombies, mutants, Claire Redfield maybe? <3 ^///^). Though I'm sort of skeptical about Elves having her story straight with Resident Evil, because CC looks like it's more of cute action/comedy rather then zombie/mutant blasting horror. But who knows? Elves has never been wrong about manga, so I trust her!
I'm also knee-deep in Love Hina vol.9, and I'm addicted! I love that series! It encompasses both the hilarious, suspenseful AND the down-right sweet romantic moments we all love!
That's right. I'm a dude, and I said I like reading about romance. Whataya' gonna' do about it? Here, I'll even post this absolutely heart-warming page from the manga again (I have not gotten' this far in the manga, so if YOU have, DON'T SPOIL IT FOR ME!!!):
Awwwwwww! So sweet!
So is this the finally, or just another deluded dream in the series? You and I'll just have to read to find out!

Not the best day today
Hi everybody. Not having to great of a day today. Though, I did finish my last tough exam (thanks for all your prayers and support!), I had another incident with Marcy on the bus. Man, that little brat really just steams my potatoes.
Marcy decided to sit on my back-pack (yet again) while I was grabbing something from the cafeteria. When I got back on the bus, I asked her nicely to get off my back-pack. She non-chalauntly passed me my book-bag, and I picked it up to sit somewhere else. The whole problem could have VERY EASILY ended right then and there, and wouldn't have been worth mentioning to anyone. But when I took out my walk-man to listen to on the way home, I saw that Marcy had completely crushed my head-phones. Not into pieces that could snap back together, no, they were in shards.
I showed it to Marcy, and she didn't care. She didn't even say sorry at all, or even listen.
That was when I totally lost it. I said a bunch of stuff she deserved, but I really shouldn't have said anyway. But I swear, I was about ready to kill her.
Logan: "Marcy! What the f---!? These were my head-phones!"
Marcy: "So?"
Logan: "'So'!? What do ya' mean 'so'!? YOU broke my f----ng head-phones 'cause you sat on my back-pack AGAIN!!!"
Marcy’s friend: "Why don't you sit down and shut your f----ng mouth?"
Logan: "Screw you! How 'bout I break your stuff and then tell you not to bi--- about it!?"
Marcy’s friend: (goes on a long story about 'why she wouldn't be pissed' that makes ABSOLUTLY NO SENSE)
Logan: (to Marcy) "I want $10 in my hand on Monday morning for my head-phones, Marcy."
Marcy: (ignores him and starts talking with friends again)
Logan: "MARCEY!"
Marcy’s friend: "Why don't you go buy some new ones?"
Logan: "Because it wasn't MY fat a-- that broke them!!!"
Katie (one of Marcy’s friends): "Sit down and shut the f--- up, Logan."
Logan: "F--- YOU!!!" *flips her off*
Rest of the bus: "Ooooooooooooooh!"
Logan: "I want $10 or new head-phones from you by Monday, Marcy."
Marcy: (obnoxiously) "Well, we can't always get what we want, now can we?"
Logan: "Bi---!"
I said some more bad stuff like that, but I don't think I want to share it because of what you guys will think of me.
I'm willing to (well, more like I have to) take a lot of crap from people, but there are 3 things that I do NOT tolerate:
-Destruction of another person's property
-Slander (spreading lies about people)
-Extortion (forcing somebody to give you something by threatening them, or worse, something or someone they love)
As you already know, Marcy violated the first of those 3, and that's why I lost my temper.
I made a total jack-ass out of myself, weather or not I was right to snap at that point. I had to ride home with everybody staring at me and whispering about me. But what was I supposed to do? "Oh, OK Marcy, you don't have to pay for the head-phones you purposefully sat on, it's cool"?
At least Shawn was nice enough to let be borrow his head-phones for the week-end. I really didn't like Shawn at the beginning of the school-year, but he's actually pretty cool.
*sigh*, anyway, I've only got my Art and English exams on Monday, and then I'm out for the summer. ^_^ And yes, we DO have a flippin' exam in Art. Bogus, ne? But they'll be easy.
By the way, rythem, one of the best artists on TheOtaku is thinking about leaving for some reason. Please visit and PM her to let her know she has our support and that we want her to stay! She's right there on my friend list, so fire-away!

Well, I had my Spanish and Geometry exam today. They were tough, but not as tough as I expected (thank goodness). I have no clue how I did though (I've learned from experience that how I did and how I THINK I did are two very different things. Hint hint, January mid-terms). Though I'm relieved to have what may be my toughest exam day out of the way, I still feel sort of depressed, even though I don't know what it's about. *sigh*, sorry, I know I'm really fickle with my moods. I'll cut it out.
What do I have to be sad about, though? I had you guys praying for me the whole time I was studying and taking my tests. Thanks to everybody who prayed for me, especially you, Erin-chan!
Oh! That reminds me! I forgot to ask you guys to pray for Erin when she got her staples out yesterday! I'm sorry, Erin! (Stupid me! >_< )
Regardless, the staple removing procedure went fine. Erin says that it barely even hurt! You can read her whole story here for more details.
Anyway, I'm just hanging out at my house. I gott'a get to studying soon. I've got my World History Exam first tomorrow -_-'. That's gonna' be a toughie.
Though I don't have an actual exam in health, I have to present my report on Cocaine, which is worth an exam grade. 0_o' I need to do my visual aid!!!
Anyway, I'll see y'all tomorrow.

The Spanish Exam Commeth
Hi everybody.
I took my first 2 exams today. I think I did OK, but considering they were Fund. of Tech. and Biology, they're no reason to get my hopes up. I don't know why, but I retain the info in Biology easier then anything. Plus, Fundamentals was only 100 questions, and Biology was only 80! I finished with an hour to spare! :) In Fundamentals, we got to watch a little bit of one of the original Star Wars movies when we all finished our exams. Which one starts out with R2D2 and C3PO trekking to Jabba's palace?
Anyway, I've got my Spanish and Geometry exam tomorrow, so I better get to studying. Geometry will be tough, but Spanish is by far my worst subject. I've basically got my 2 hardest exams tomorrow. I'm seriously stressing at this point. If I fail my Spanish final like I failed my mid-term (you remember that fiasco back in January), there goes 25% of my yearly grade! I'll flunk!!! Urrrr...this does not look good for Logan. Anyway, please please please pray for me as I study tonight and take my test tomorrow morning. I really need your prayers right now, so thank you.
Miyoko-chan (probably along with a few others that read yesterday's post but didn't comment) was a bit skeptical of my minor inclusion or reference to the Resident Evil game plot. I can understand why, because it was a pretty contrived idea in the first place. But there is a major reason I wanted to include the T-virus, Umbrella Corp and the Raccoon City massacre in my story.
My original idea was for a biological weapon to be developed by a shady bio-organics company (I thought all this up without the help or knowledge of Resident Evil. The similarities are just a coincidence). This weapon was a virus that not only killed the person it infects, but also causes the dead body to keep its most basic functions (walk around and eat anything that moves), thus creating "zombies" to spread the virus to more people. A virus where everyone that's killed gets up and starts killing. This virus was also to have the side-effect of self-replication and hyper-evolution, which means it evolves into its own creatures which become smarter, stronger and deadlier every time they reproduce. This process is sped up as more types of animals and plants are infected, so you've got flesh-eating leeches, zombie rats, massive killer-bees, and acid-spitting tentacle-rooted giant plants.
As you've no doubt guessed by now, my idea was almost identical to that of Resident Evil. -_-' So I thought, "Hey, instead of using an idea identical to Resident Evil that’ll get me accused of plagiarism, why not use this as an opportunity for a cross-over!?". But if I shouldn't do a cross-over, then what do I do?
Anyway, the Prayer List is on yesterday's post (today's post is too long already).
In other news, Miyoko-chan is feeling a bit better! Plus, she's got 2 new pieces of artwork up, featuring a younger, more innocent and probably happier time in Makoto's life. Click here to view, vote and comment on the first pic (and obviously click "Next Picture" from there to do the same for the second).
Anywho, I'll see you all tomorrow, and please pray for me tonight as I study and tomorrow as I take the exams. I could really, really use your prayers.
