Ha ha. I thought that was a clever ad. (And it's by an amateur, to!) Viva la Windows!

Hey everybody. How's it going?

I get the feeling nobody was able to watch the trailer from yesterday. Ah, whatever, it's just as well, because I have a better idea!
Nothing is set in stone yet, but I do believe I may go into the AMV business. Well, I think this would actually be called a "VGMV" (Video Game Music Video). Is that what they're called?
Anyway, I'm experimenting with Windows Movie Maker, and I think that in a week or 2 I might just pull off a real VGMV of Resident Evil 4! I'm using clips from that trailer (which I'm now almost hoping nobody watched) with one of my most favorite songs of all time. Yep, you guessed it. It's "Enter Sandman" by Metallica. ^_^
No promises yet on weather it will work out in the end or not (I'm already hitting some serious snags), but just keep your eyes open and pray that I don't spontaneously combust from frustration. I'm already considering changing the song, actually. "Enter Sandman" is a 5 minute and 30 second song, while "Escape from Hellview" by CKY is only 3 minutes and 43 seconds long. Not to mention that "Escape from Hellview" is specifically about zombies, rather then just the idea of a general nightmarish experience. Hmmmmmmmmmm...

Anyway, thank you to all of you who left comments on my recent ghost pics! Special thanks to Miyoko-chan, ElvesAteMyRamen and especially Vankala 86 (Rosa commented on each and every piece) for their wonderful comments! Thanks for taking the time to seriously look into my art!

Please pray for Karen (Living Doll) and Penny (Akane the Fox) along with anyone else that is under threat of hurricane Dennis.

OK everybody, that's about it for today. I'll see you tomorrow!

   Time of Post: 2:17 PM
Listening to: "Ride the Lightning", by Metallica.
Aside from "One", this is probably my favorite Metallica guitar solo.

Hey everybody! Lindsey submitted a new pic yesterday! You have to friggen' see it to believe it! Check it out!:
Image hosted by Photobucket.com
Anything I say about this piece would be an understatement. Just look at how smooth the texture, shading and coloring are. Though I'm pretty sure that the female fans are enjoying something about this I can't, I can still appreciate Lindsey's accuracy in the departments of proportion and line-contrast. I'm especially amazed at the highlights and shadows in Dark's hair. It somehow looks perfectly 3D, which is hard to pull off. The same goes for the clothing on the both of them. But by far the coolest looking thing on here are the wings. Lindsey commented that it took her 3 to 4 hours (correct me if I'm misquoting her) to do one wing. But man, did it ever pay off! Congratulations on completing one of your most spectacular pieces to date, Lindsey! b^_^d

If you haven't seen my recently submitted ghost pics, please go take a look! And even better, please comment! I need to hear your opinions on how I can improve!
Oh, and a thank you to all of you who have already commented on some on them!

Man oh man guys, I saw the most awesome trailer last night! It was the trailer for Resident Evil 4, and it was the shiz-nite! Man, I was on the edge of my seat!
Here's the link to where you can watch it: Beware the T-Virus!
It's the one in the top-right corner called "RE4 E3 2004 Trailer".
It may take a while to down-load for those of you who are unlucky enough to have dial-up (I've got Road-Runner, biz-natch!), so I won't make you watch it now. But please promise me you'll at least watch it at some point! Pleeeeeeeease!?

Anyway, I'll take the rest of today's post to tell you about my favorite character in that game. Any of you ever heard of Dr. Salvador? Here, I'll circle him for you:
Image hosted by Photobucket.com

Dr. Salvador is the model citizen with the bloody chainsaw and the bag over his head. Yep, he's a criminally insane zombie. Frikken' awesome, neh? I'll post more about him in the coming days, alright? *makes chainsaw noise* Ya' better watch out! XD

   Oh well...
Time of Post: 4:52 PM
Listening to: "Run To The Hills", by Iron Maiden!

Hey everybody! How's it going?

My brother got back today from his trip, and within 10 minutes of getting home he got the family stressed out, accused me of stealing, and made my mom and dad think that I was fighting with him. That's BS! I did exactly what my mom said to do and I still get called down! She's such a friggen' hypocrite! Then within an hour of getting home, he gave me a migraine and nearly gave my dad a stroke. That little punk needs to pay for all the crap he pulls, but no, he gets rewarded by getting to use IM (which he got banned from on the day he left and I've never been able to have for some reason). It's not fair! He's the source of all the stress in the family, and he gets something that I've been wanting and have deserved for several years!? This sucks!
Geeze, I was in a great mood a second ago and now I'm pissed. I can't stand my parents. This is total BS.

Anyway, Akane the Fox submitted a piece of concept art for me! It's her take on the manga-version of me, and it's awesome! Please take a look as well as vote and comment on it by clicking here.

Also in the world of art, I submitted a bunch of my ghost pics! I submitted 6 last night, 2 this morning, and 3 this afternoon! Please, please, PLEASE go and comment on them! I love all of your wonderful comments because they help me improve and congratulate me when I have improved! And you have no idea how good it feels for me to hear praise (no matter how minute) from an artist I love and admire! Click here to go to my first ghost pic! (And click "Next Picture" to see the rest)
Please be on the look out for more of my ghost pics in the next couple days!

Let's see, what else?
Oh! I went to Barne's & Noble's again yesterday! I finished Love Hina vol. 12 and started on vol. 13. Man, I can't believe I'm so close to ending the series (there's a total of 14 books)! That will be the first manga series I've read all the way through!
I won't spoil anything or even give teasers for that matter, but if you've read Love Hina then you'll probably agree with me. I've got one word to describe the finale of vol. 12: Spec-freakin'-tacular!!!!! That was incredible! It was just so suspenseful, romantic and hilarious, I seriously couldn't put the book down! I swear, those last 40 pages (basically the last 2 chapters, look it up if you own the mangas) had me on the edge of my seat! And that wasn't even the series finale! (I haven't read it yet, so DO NOT spoil it for me if YOU have!!!!)

Before I go, here's the Prayer List:
My Pastor
MysteriousChild and her recovery
ElvesAteMyRamen (her sun-burn)
Miyoko-chan (that she feels better)
The Victims of the Christmas Day Tsunami
DragonMasterKatie and her buddy Original J
Vankala 86, her friend Mel, and Mel’s fiancé as he serves in Iraq
xSakurax
Akane the Fox, her friend, and her friend's boyfriend in Re-hab
SILVER TIGER
Those who are suffering from breast cancer, as added by atreyu7slip
TravelingDisciple
And his friends Tigger and Floyd
Honoto
jennifer92
My Grandmother
The family that had their house burn down
And Mark

And special congratulations to Chiyono for becoming our newest member! Welcome to the cult...I mean, club! ^_^'

   Art-Attack!
Time of Post: 3:09 PM

Whew....I'm beat. I just finished scanning, saving, labeling, sorting and resizing 21, count em', 21 pics! This took all day and a lot of effort, because my scanner only works with my brother's computer, which not only means I have to save, transfer and upload everything, but it's also a stone age piece of crap that takes 10 to 20 minutes or so to scan something. And very often, the diskettes I try to save them to say "Write Error", or some nonsensical excuse for not saving the pic. So that meant I had to find a diskette that somehow fit the computers secret standards for proper saving. @_@'
But, it was worth it! Now all I have to do is digitally edit-out all of the stray marks (with MS Paint -_-') before I can submit them!
12 were ghost pics, which means I have a total of 20 ghost pics that I need to submit (it would have been 22 ghost pics, but I shanked 2 of them since they were crappy). The other 9 scanned pics were 5 zombie pics of the zombies from Resident Evil 4, and the remaining 4 pics were miscellaneous pics I needed to scan. (So you'll just have to wait and see what those pics were ~_^)

I'm feeling a bit better then I was yesterday. Maybe because of all this productivity.

Anyway, a new quote and song of the week are up if you haven't seen them already. The SotW would have been an awesome piano version of “Fade To Black”, but I gotta' figure out how to convert it from a Zip file to some other form first. Until then, it's another great song by Metallica called "Sad but True". Gosh, do those lyrics sound familiar to any of you? Hmmmmmmmmm...

Before I go, please continue to pray for everyone on the Prayer List.
Oh, and if you didn't take it already, please take yesterday's poll!

   Back from the Dentist
Image hosted by Photobucket.com

Oy, yep, as the title says, I just got back from the dentist (I told you about it on Tuesday). It wasn't quite as long as I expected it to be, but it was still pretty rough. My mouth tastes like a bleach receptacle at the moment, plus I've got an upset stomach from that paste you're not supposed to swallow. >:P
I swear, they say that junk-food and not brushing/flossing will deteriorate your teeth, but then they bring me in and douse my teeth with chemicals, scrape them with sharp metal hooks, and blast them with radiation, all for about 2 hours, and they say that it will protect my teeth? Yeah, I'm sure that the junk-food was soooooo much worse. I smell a conspiracy...

Anyway, I'm really just down-right depressed right now. Partly from my danged hormones, and partly because of something the dentist told me. But I'm not really sure if I want to talk about it right now. *sigh*

Any who, enough about me. Full Metal Alchemist won't have any new episodes on [adult swim] until August. And vol. 3 of the manga won't be out until September. -_-' I want to know who the woman in dread-locks is!

Alright everybody, I got a poll for you.
Here's how it works: I'll give you a phrase to complete, and you complete it. DO NOT complete the phrase the way it SHOULD be completed. Instead, complete it the way YOU THINK it should be completed based on what YOU think, OK?
Please # your answers and be honest. Be as brief or as elaborate as you want. And no looking at other people's answers until you're done!!! Got it!?
Here we go:

1. "If it ain't broke, ____________________"

2. "___________________ is the root of all evil"

3. "Exit Light, __________________"

4. "Fight fire with ______________"

5. "True love is ___________________________"

6. "Battle not with monsters, ________________________________"

7. "Darkness,
Imprisoning me,
All that I see,
_____________________"

8. "You can't run from ______________________"

9. "This thorn in my side is from the tree I planted,
It tears me, and I ____________________"

10. "_____________________ is in the eye of the beholder"

11. "You haven't truly failed until you've _______________________________"

12. "Darkness is ____________________________"

Thank you very much for your time, and I'll see you tomorrow.

XD Don't tell anyone about that! It's just a joke, OK!?

So how's everybody doing today? My computer's still being a bi-otch. -_-' I frikken' hate "B-Safe"!!! *@#^$! computer filtering!

Jeeze, I need to get up earlier. I keep loosing the day because I sleep too late. I slept till 12:30 today.
Image hosted by Photobucket.com
Yes, shocking. But it's true, despite I rarely ever sleep that late.

By the way, I've been thinking about some Metallica lyrics for some of my pieces recently. I wanted to use the lyrics from the ballad "Nothing Else Matters" for a friendship pic, but according to Miyoko-chan they sound like they're geared toward a couple. Metallica themselves said that the song is a simple tribute to their loved ones, so I'm not sure which it is. Since I don't want to completely misuse the song, I'll give you a segment of the lyrics and let you decide:

"So close, no matter how far
Couldn't be much more from the heart
Forever trusting who we are
and nothing else matters

Never opened myself this way
Life is ours, we live it our way
All these words I don't just say
and nothing else matters

Trust I seek and I find in you
Every day for us something new
Open mind for a different view
and nothing else matters

never cared for what they do
never cared for what they know
but I know..."

Before I go, let's play a simple game of Odd Man Out:

Image hosted by Photobucket.com
One of these things is not like the other,
One of these things just doesn't belong.
Can you tell me which one of these things is not like the other,
By the time I finish this song?

   Hey everybody. How's it going?

I got some good news: Guess who's going to be gone for a week. That's right, my brother! A whole friggen' week without his obnoxious noises or perpetual dishonesty!
I should be really happy with having him gone and all, but lately I've been feeling depressed (and don't even friggen' joke about it being because I miss him for something, because the fact that he's gone is the only reason I'm still sane). I really don't know why I'm depressed, but that fact alone means it's probably hormones. -_-' Man, a lot of people say that characters like Inuyasha and Chrno are lucky because they don't age, but if I had to spend 50 years or so in this state of body, I'd friggen' flip my lid! Damn hormones, I curse thee to the bowels of Hell from whence ye came! Begone! (Shoot, I need to start acting a lot less like the manga version of me. I'm no exorcist, that's for sure.)
Anyway, my hormones are probably acting up because I've been on an emotional high for a while now (like ever since school was out). Damn the emotional roller coaster!
I'm also sorry I didn't post yesterday. Busy day, plus I was sort of depressed. My dad, my sister and I went to see the fire-works down-town for the 4th. My little sister pretty much came close to ruining it though. Plus, the launching point had moved, so the fire-works were obscured by a parking deck. So we got to see only about 2/3's of 'Sky Show 2005'. -_-' Oh well, my dad tried his hardest, and it's not his fault.
And speaking of fire-works, if you're into Homestar Runner, then here's a 4th of July gift!: "They Don't Make a 300!"

On to something besides a rant, I just want to take a second to give you some insight into my characters and my artwork. Just so we're clear, I used the term "Madly In Anger" as a play on the cliché' phrase "Madly In Love". The phrase works because even though Megan and Josh fight all the time, you can still see that they obviously like each other. Well, Josh has a MASSIVE crush on Megan despite the fact he fights with her. Megan knows that he likes her, and the fact that she's not interested sparks the conflict that's already started by their greatly different personalities. Josh is artistic, aggressive and funny, but that also makes him disorganized, competitive and overly laid-back (not to mention sarcastic and attention-deficit). Megan is smart, ambitious and does things with military precision, which also makes her cunning, short-tempered and up-tight. I got the idea for the term "Madly In Anger" from the song "St. Anger" by Metallica.

In Prayer news, MysteriousChild is out of surgery! Read all about it on her site. Poor Kerry, she's hurtin'.
Please also pray for me as I go to the de..de..dentist's on Thursday. >_< I hate the dentist! I hate the hooks, the prods, the cleaning stuff that tastes like sand, all on it!
And please pray for Miyoko-chan as well. She hasn't been felling at top form lately.
Here's the list:
My Pastor
MysteriousChild and her recovery
Miyoko-chan (that she feels better)
The Victims of the Christmas Day Tsunami
DragonMasterKatie and her buddy Original J
Vankala 86, her friend Mel, and Mel’s fiancé as he serves in Iraq
xSakurax
Akane the Fox, her friend, and her friend's boyfriend in Re-hab
SILVER TIGER
Those who are suffering from breast cancer, as added by atreyu7slip
TravelingDisciple
And his friends Tigger and Floyd
Honoto
jennifer92
My Grandmother
The family that had their house burn down
Me, as I go to the dentist’s on Thursday >_<
And Mark

See ya'll later. Oh, and a new Quote and Poll of the week are up!

   Time of Post: 12:26 PM
Listening to: "Ghost Of The Navigator", by Iron Maiden

Hey everybody! Since I was talking about Love Hina yesterday anyway, here's an excellent example of Akamatsu's incredible drawing skill. A while back, Lindsey (ElvesAteMyRamen, geeze, I bet you people know that by know, so I better stop telling you) was talking about how certain pages of a manga make you want to take a second to step back and just examine every detail. I had a page like that yesterday in FMA Vol. 2. This page here was another piece like that. It's concept art for the start of a chapter that shows (from left to right) Keitaro, Naru and Mutsumi as little kids (ain't they cute!?).

Image hosted by Photobucket.com
When you read the manga, you'll see just why their childhood is so important.

And speaking of Lindsey-chan, she made another Chrno Crusade Gif! Check it out:
Image hosted by Photobucket.com
This is also from that dancing scene that Lindsey made a Gif of a week or so ago. Pretty cool, huh?

Anyway, TheOtaku seems to have a lot of interest in music (the personal tastes of the artists, plus AMV's). So, to clear the air for future reference, here's a list of pretty much all the bands that have music I like (tell me who you like and if you like any of these!):

AC/DC
Led Zeppelin
Metallica
Pink Floyd
Iron Maiden
The Beatles
CKY
Dire Straits
Flogging Molly
Guns N' Roses
King's X
and Linkin Park

I don't have much from Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, or Dire Straits yet, but that'll change soon.
Here's a list of artists that I've heard are good, and would really like to get into (tell me if you would suggest or not suggest any of these artists!):

Breaking Benjamin
Jimi Hendrix
Rammstien
Apocalyptica
Alice In Chains
Korn
Megadeth
Iron Butterfly
Nine Inch Nails
Rage Against the Machine
Stryper
The Doors
Lynyrd Skynyrd
Stevie Ray Vaughan
Pantera
Van Halen
The Eagles
and The Rolling Stones

So, what do you have to say about music? I'm all ears!

By the way, please continue to pray for MC (see last post).
And please check out my new art.

You ever wondered what it would be like if moms ruled the world?

Image hosted by Photobucket.com
XD "Nobody will ever leave this seat up again!"

Anyway, I posted a quiz yesterday, so please take a look if you haven’t already.
Plus, I posted 2 new pics yesterday, so please also take a look at those and comment if you haven't already.

I just got back from Barne's & Noble's. Last time I finished Love Hina vol. 10. (this contains NO spoilers) Man, only those who have read Love Hina vol. 10 will know what I mean, but I think that the "playing house" scene from where Mutsumi lost her memory was one of the funniest manga moments I've ever read! Holy crap! It was just so subtle and so ridiculous! And the tone of the art made it work perfectly!
Today, I finished Love Hina vol. 11, read an art book called "Masters of Deception", and started Fullmetal Alchemist vol. 2 (it just arrived yesterday!). "Masters of Deception" was a book that chronicled the works of the artists that were masters of fooling the viewer with their artwork. Man it was cool! Being the illusion buff that I am, I had already seen many of pieces t featured, but just as many were brand-new to me! I highly suggest you look for that book the next time you lounge in the bookstore. You'll know it by the cover that features a bridge turning into a fleet of ships (and an FYI, it's a hard-cover).

Anyway, I didn't do much drawing last night. -_-' Oh well, let's hope that tonight will be different.

Oh! I forgot to mention it last time, but please pray for MysteriousChild as she goes through surgery and recovery from a cycling accident (details on her site). Please also pray for Miyoko-chan, who hasn't feeling well lately.

Thanks everybody, and I'll see tomorrow!

Listening to: "Fade to Black", by Metallica

Hey everybody. I'm sorry about yesterday's post and all. I'm not mad at anyone, really. It's just that from what I read, it sounded like I was being called down for fighting when I was doing what I thought anybody else would do. It just sort of hurt my feelings that nobody seemed to wanna' back me up when somebody started slinging insults at me. It sounded like I was being accused of being just as bad as Telk. Now do you see why I was so mad?
Thanks to all of you who apologized about that, and I owe you all an apology as well.

Anyway, I scanned and submitted 2 new pics last night. Please go and vote & comment on them, pleeeeeeeeeeeease? =^_^=

Alright everybody, I got a poll for you! This is another game of word/phrase association. That means I give you a word or phrase, and you tell me the first thing it makes you think about, OK? Please # your answers, be honest, and have fun!

1. Blackened
2. Runner
3. Starting Point
4. Breaker
5. Scratch
6. The Shortest Straw
7. Ghost
8. Telephone
9. Infinitum
10. I Disappear

Thanks for your time, and I'll see you all tomorrow!
