New Cooking Post
I cooked an amazing dinner tonight. Here's the quick recipe:

Take a few slabs of sliced chicken breast

Melt lots of butter in a bowl and mix with garlic, a little olive oil, parm. cheese

Dip the chicken breast in the concoction and cover with breadcrumbs

Bake @ 350 degrees in the oven for about 45 minutes

Turned out really well, I'm not sure if it was necessary but half way in I flipped the chicken

Also: The hardest part of Version Vibrant by FAR has been streamlining submissions and editing.

Curb Your Otakuism
Any fans of Curb Your Enthusiasm here? Been watching the DVDs on and off. Fun show.

Hey Otakuites
Sorry for the quiet this weekend. Mike, Massin, and I have had lots of crash sessions. I've been working behind the scenes on some business things, and I'm still way behind with getting our team up to speed.

I wanted to launch by the 22nd but we missed that date. Hoping to hit before the month's over, but it could go into early February.

On a personal note I finally got to use my salsa skillz over the weekend :-D

Doctor No
As launch approaches my attitude shifts from "Yes! Let's do this, and this, and this, and this" to: "Let's cut this, let's downsize this, let's save this for later"

Otherwise, simply, we'd never launch (or worse, launch spread too thin with bugs everywhere)

MilkyCat asked me to pimp her commissioning. If you need one done, she's available.

With the great news of Spaces photo hosting comes a little bad news: We won't have external image sourcing for launch. The reason is I want to make it so that our system automatically resizes external images and possibly supports other functions like ALT tags, and that's a harder programming trick. We'll have it eventually.

Other than that, I'm literally working from early in the morning to late at night on this monster, finishing up.

   I Still Got It
The "dedication" feature I announced today has received some nice praise. It's one of those features that no one else has ever done but that I predict will become very popular.

Someone said "why not just put the dedication in the caption?"

The answer:
(1) Official dedications look nicer than captioned ones
(2) We'll eventually be able to make it so that if you dedicate to someone it PMs them the news
(3) We'll eventually be able to link dedications to a person's profile, so you can see all the artwork dedicated to them

There are more reasons but I'll stop at that.

Also: A friend somehow roped me into taking a hip hop dance class today. I'm going to be sore tomorrow...

UPDATE: Hm...it's 6 AM. Perhaps I should sleep now :-). Many thanks to Massin for staying up with me.

Version Vibrant will have a new site. I won't announce what it is yet, but as is the case with new sites, I LOVE starting empty and watching it slowly fill up with content.

While it'll take some time for us to re-add cosplay after we relaunch, the new site should keep everyone very busy.

Let the speculation begin. The new site is one of the most innovative things I've done. I have high hopes.

I think the new job is a good opportunity for Gia and am happy she pursued it.

There will of course be last minute reshuffling on our news strategy for VV given the circumstances. We might launch light on news. Still thinking about it.

I think this does present a great opportunity to use our existing team more. There's a lot of talent and latent energy there.
