   EEEEEEEKE! IT'S BEEN HOW LONG?!?

WOW! I haven't been here in a dog's age! Geez, I can only imagine how much I've missed over the past week or so. I hope you all have been doing well since I haven't been able to visit people. I deeply apologize!

Fortunately, life has settled down to a degree. I'm now working at the same coal company I worked for last year. This time, I'm in the Finance department, which is cool because I enjoy the lady who supervises me. She's really nice. ^_^ Also, I have another intern to work with me: she's also a sweet girl. Also, my friend gets to work here. I'm really happy for her because she could really use a good-paying job. So this'll be great for her.

Like I said before, I'm very sorry I haven't been around lately. The people at my job encourage us not to do too much "surfing on the web" when working. So I'm trying to abide by that although I am posting this at work! O_O That's why this post has to be short.

I hope that during my break I can visit some of you all. Take care, my O friends. See you around sometime. *hugs*

Greetings, my friends of Otaku! I feel bad for not being around lately. I left somewhat abruptly from the middle of last week. It's been a tad bit crazy-busy lately. Because I don't want to bore you out of your minds, I'll try to be brief in my recap.

But first, I must mention comments from my last post. I do apologize to all of those who were drastically affected by my Michael Jackson pic. I knew the picture would freak some out, but I didn't know it would to the point of gouging out eyeballs and sending some back to therapy. O_O
Oops.

Recap!!

Ok, so I'll just (try to) skim by the major points of the past week
since I last left you.

Wednesday
Today, a friend and I had interviews back at the coal company I worked for last summer. Because I worked for them not too long ago, and since they requested me back, I was pretty sure I had the job. But that didn't mean I could skip out on the interviews. As for my friend, she is basically on the bottom of the totum poll: she's not a dependent and has not had any experience working there. (I'm not a dependent either) But that really doesn't mean anything. Anyway, she had 3 interviews, the
last of which she seemed to enjoy the most. I also went to the same person for the interview, but I didn't like it.

First, I don't think I made the greatest impression before him. This is how a little conversation went:

Peter: So, what do you want to do when you grow up?

Me: Ummm.... *pauses* I want to be a mom and wife.

Peter: O_o *chuckles* Well... That certainly is admireable...

Me: >__< *to self* D'oh! Did I just say that just now? ...

And last, Peter made me take a writing test! I didn't really like that because it was timed! I had 10 minutes to write a promotional paper about the coal company, given some facts. With only 1 minute left, all these good ideas suddenly flooded my mind.

Oh well, I at least got the job with the same lady I worked for last
year. ^_^'

Thursday
For most of the day, I spent most of my time just shopping for props for the upcoming skit that would be performed on Sunday. I also tried looking for accessories for a formal that would be on Saturday. I was
seriously tired of driving around and shopping; it wears you out!

Friday
Shopped some more. Had a skit practice that lasted from 7:30 p.m. - 12:00 a.m. We practiced so darn long because our "director" didn't think we did a good job. Our first time through was seriously rough since we were just getting used to using props. But by midnight, we were able to
pull things together and work the issues out... sorta...

Saturday
Had Ladies' Breakfast early in the morning. Thus, I was pretty tired. I worked a little bit on the building project, but I couldn't stay long because there was a young adult's formal tonight. Fortunately, I didn't
have to do much shopping for the formal. My orange dress still fit
though it was a hassle to take off. Lol.

Anyway, I had to drive a few friends down to Sterling, VA, where the formal would be held in the Sheraton Hotel. I really didn't like driving Capitol Beltway (495): it was so busy and everyone had to put on their
brakes every 5 minutes. Nevertheless, we got there with some time to finish getting ready.

It was a nice night. The hotel was beautiful, and the food wasn't too bad. ^_^ It was really nice seeing some friends I don't see too often. But I didn't get home until 12 in the morning again. Tomorrow would be
an even busier day...

Sunday
Today is the day marking the 10th anniversary of my Pastor's pastoring our church. From morning to when it was our turn to do our skit, I had butterflies in my stomach. We did one final practice of our skit, of which I don't think went that well. But the show must go on... So our
turn arrives, and I'm in the first "Act" of the skit. To say the least, I was stinkin' nervous! lol. But all in all, the skits went really well!! The audience laughed, so I felt relieved. ^_^

We ended the day with a game of softball (Our team won!) and ice cream.
Mmmm.... Black raspberry....

Monday
Now, I'm up to date! Today, I start at the coal company. I'm once again working in the Finance department. This time, I have another intern with whom I can chit chat. She's really nice, a sister of a fellow here. I'm glad I get to have someone else my age here with me. ^^ It's been a
nice, slow day. After rientation, they gave us tedious stuff to do.
lol. Why am I not surprised? XD

For lunch, the other intern and I were treated to this Thai food place. I got the Curry something-something: it was tasty and spicy. Then for dessert, I ate something that the fellows with me were calling "Fish-eye" soup. It sorta did look... weird... But it too was very tasty. ^_^

Well, I guess it's time to get back to work. Fortunately, it's almost time to leave. Yay!! So that's been my life for the past 5 days or so. Now that I've got some free time because the skits are over with, I wonder what I'll do with the time... Maybe I'll get more shut-eye!

Take care everyone! I hope to visit you all soon and see what all I've missed! *many hugs*

Well howdy-doo, everyone! I'm posting nearly 2 in the morning since I'm not going to have much time later on to do it. I hope I can still come and visit later on. Plus, I joined Kitabug's newly founded club: Dragons of Heaven or of Earth! I'm a Dragon of Earth. Wheeeee! Maybe you should join and get a pretty banner from Kita!

Commenting on Comments
ElvesAteMyRamen, I was in Africa, specifically Kenya, when my foot fell into that toilet! Is China any better? Fortunately I had shoes on or else I could've died... >_<

Le Kun, I agree with you: spiders themselves aren't so bad - it's their webs! I freak out when they cling to my face... *shrieks*

Speaking of spiders... LS, you're a cruel, cruel person with your fists of doom! heehee Try killin' Magnus's spiders... Yeah. Thought so... n_o And you're also right: some teachers enjoy seeing their students squirm under their thumb.

Bed-Stuy, Yensid, and Knight Edge... You all have never had a blister on your hand or a canker sore in your mouth?! Count your blessings... There's two already!

Moving on...
From what I could tell, a lot of you all had a very enjoyable Mother's Day. Good for you! ^_^ I won't go into great detail, but if you couldn't tell already, mine was a bit BLAH. Right now, it's my dad and I against my mom. I don't think she's doing well: she suffers with pain and aches and allows them to get to her. She's pretty much angry at her pain and at God; thus, she reacts against us, and it just doesn't do the family any good. -___-'

But, I can't allow the circumstances affect me. That is to say, no matter how trying things get with my mom, I'm still need to love her. Heck! I admit it: it's hard loving someone who acts so unloveable. *sighs* But it's not impossible.

ANYWAY...

Tomorrow...no, wait. Later on today, after I get some rest(!), I'll head over to my buddy's house. Then, we'll head toward T.G.I.F.'s to meet up with another friend for lunch. After that... well, I have no clue. Heh. I pretty much tell my friends that they should come up with something to do. I'm just the chauffeur. ^_^ I don't mind... Just give me gas money! lol

Maybe I could prepare for an upcoming formal. I'm going to try to fit a dress I haven't worn since 9th grade! lol I'm glad I'm Asian... *looks around* What?! Asians are typically tiny people. heehee Recently, I weighed myself on a nifty, hi-tech scale: I'm about 116 lb. and 19% body fat. That's after I ate 3 plates of shrimp alfredo too! I'm a piggy! *oink oink* Ok, I'm going on bunny trails now... *slaps self awake*

Ok, I promise I'm nearing the end. ^^; I just want to tell you all a few more things... *big grin*

About 4 hours ago, I found out all my grades this past semester: straight A's! 3.949 GPA! Yay!! But because I'm Asian, I have brains but no groove, so I looked for something or someone else who does. This is what I found:

Ok, it was this or a dancing bunny. I found MJ to be much funnier! LOL. *pauses* Does anyone else find this a tad bit creepy? O_O Also, I found out that I might have a job interview sometime soon: I need to make dinero! *more dancing* ^^

All righty then! Now, I'll end with a Quick Q.

What's "home" to you? Or what should "home" be in your perspective?

With that, I end this post. *bows* Later all and have a super day! *boogies away to bed*

Greetings, everyone! How are you doing? Today is a lovely day. Nice, warm, and sunny - and here I am, cooped up in front of the computer. XP But I'll be out to enjoy the weather. ^^ I'm free this whole week! Yipee!

Heehee... I'm glad you all thought my fun facts of myself were interesting. To clear some things up: I "played" with spiders as in I held them and let them crawl on my hand. ^_^ And the "toilet" I fell in. Well, it looks like this:

And that was a nice one! lol ewwww...XP

So yeah...

Oh, guess what! I finally got word from my Physics professor. Apparently, he was ill over the past week, so he couldn't respond to my requests any sooner. It turns out that he just rewarded me with an A in the class. According to him, since I was already ahead of the class, probability and common sense told him that I didn't need to take the final. YES!!! I feel bad for thinking less of him... *sighs*

So far, I know my grades for 3 out of 5 of my classes, and they're A's. That'll help my GPA go up. Although...I'm pretty sure I didn't do the greatest in Music Theory. Oh well. You have to move on.

Though things with school seem to be going all right, home affairs are rather shaky at this point. Now, the inheritance is becoming an issue: who get's what and so forth. I have to admit, my Mother's Day didn't go so smoothly. Let's just say that my dad's card is now in the shredder... Geez o' petes... *shakes head* I hope your Mother's Day went better!

Speaking of Mother's Day, that'll be my quick Q of the day. ^^ So... What did you do for your mom on Mother's Day? I'm very curious to hear what you all did. I know a lot of you are very creative. ^_^

Wait, wait, wait... I lied! I have one more Q. for you all. Sorry!

What's worse: a popped open blister on your finger or a canker sore in your mouth?

Right now, I have both, and both have been annoying me to no end. >_<

Now, I guess that's all I have for you today. heehee Take care, everybody!

Hey hey hey! How's everyone doing? I was able to visit a lot of people last night and meet some new people as well. ^_^

Yesterday went all right. Gosh, remember how I said I would not look at my grandfather at all? Well, with a slip of the eye, I beheld his pasty face. *shudders* Those funeral people... They never do the deceased justice. But, Poppy didn't look that bad.

A lot of people from my church came and visited us while we were at the funeral home. It was so nice to see familiar faces. I swear... How do people come up with titles such as "Second Cousin by marriage" and things like that. I probably recognized only a handful of folks there. heehee Oh well... XD Plus, these second cousins of mine were like 60 years old. Go figure...

Today is the actual memorial service. I could not reach my professor at all, and he did not respond to any of my e-mail requests. It really ticks me off! >_< So I called my advisor, and she said that I would probably have to bring in evidence of my grandfather's death. I was like, "Are you for real?!" But I shouldn't be too surprised: college kids lie - it's part of life, I guess. But still. I wish my professor was not so ignorant. I mean, he could give me a simple answer: that's all I wanted. *shakes head* So I have no idea if I'll be able to make up the final. *Grrr!*

YOU'VE BEEN TAGGED!
A change of subject. Mamma Vash actually tagged me a little while ago. Mamma, if you're reading this... I'm so sorry I didn't notice earlier!! So here are six random things about myself:

1. I have a baby blanket that I still sleep with... It's older than me too!
2. I sleep in a frog-like position and with my eyes half-opened... So my friends tell me.
3. I used to play with spiders to overcome my arachniphobia.
4. I've gone through 3 rabbits, the last of which is my longest living one. Feeding gum, even if it's fruit-flavored, is not good for a rabbit.
5. I hate pictures but love taking them.
6. When I was in Africa, my foot slipped into one of the in-the-ground toilets. O_O

I hope I didn't freak anyone out with those bits of info. heehee. Now, I choose to tag:

Magnus Lenshurr, ElvesAteMyRamen, and Ouroboros78.

Ok then. Well, I need to leave for the memorial service now. Take care and have a great day, my friends!

Hey everyone! I know I said this last time, but I truly do appreciate all of your support. You have no idea how much it helps... or maybe you do... ^_^

Anyway, today is the day of the viewings. I actually had an exam to take, after which I rushed over to the funeral home. You know how I said that I really didn't want to see my grandpa's body all lifeless and such? Well, it just so happened that the funeral home positioned everything so that when you enter the room BAM! You can't miss the body lying there in casket. *shakes head and shudders* Oh well. I'm still not going over there to actually look at him. No siree! It's funny. Each time I look over there at him, I imagine him breathing. Then something inside me says something like, "Get up, Poppy!" Alas, that's my imagination for ya. ^^;

Anyway, this is a short post because I have to go back for a second viewing soon. Tomorrow, there's going to be a memorial service. I hope I can make it there because tomorrow I have one more final to take. I've been trying to e-mail my professor with hopes that I can possibly start the final earlier and, thus, end earlier. However, I haven't been getting any responses from him. *grrr* It really does annoy me. I mean, c'mon! At least tell me something, even if it's "No!"

After that, we won't have anything else until the burial on July 17th. And no, LS. There won't be any tours of my grandpa's body... not like James Brown! lol I believe we have to wait such a long time is, well, it is Arlington Cemetery. We have people fighting a war right now, and their bodies are coming in as well. So, in a nutshell, my grandpa is in a line. ^_^

As for that question I asked the other day... I was just curious about it. To me, both scenarios (silent darkness and noisy darkness) would freak me out. O_O Silence can get to the "psychee," and noises stir up the imagination.

Well, that's it for now. I am so sorry I haven't gotten to anybody's site of late. I will try to get around soon. Take care, my good friends! *hugs*

Hey Otaku buddies! Thanks so much for your kind words and support. I greatly appreciate it. It means a lot when you all are there. *gives many hugs* ^_^

My family seems to be doing all right with everything. Like I said last time, my dad's the one mostly affected. But even he is hanging in there. ^_^

Thursday and Friday are the "viewing" days. I really don't know if I want to see my grandfather in that frozen state. Pretty awkward if you ask me. I'd rather remember him like he was before. I loved how he got on my dad's nerves. It was hilarious when he'd ask the same thing about 5 times in a 10-minute time period. Go Alzheimer's!

Another strange thing: he won't be buried until JULY 17th!! I cannot believe that... *shakes head* I don't even want to know what they'll do with the body until then...lol O_o

Ok,ok... Onto something else. This week is "Finals" week. WHOOHOO! I'm so glad that this is the last week of school. No more teachers, no more books! No more teacher's dirty looks! lol

Today, I just had 2 finals to take care of: my Drawing class and English class. For my Drawing class, all we had to do was bring 14 pieces of our work so that our professor could critique us. I felt relieved when he told me I had an A. He said I did pretty well, missing only 1 day of class with a few tardys. *phewf* I really enjoyed that class, and I hope I can apply what I learned with some of my drawings in the future. ^_^

My English class also went well...sorta. I stayed up until 1:30 this morning typing a paper. I don't think it's one of my better papers. I'm just glad that it's over with. No more papers! WHEEEEeeeee.... We also had a written exam in class, which wasn't too bad. My professor will be sending us our grades via the mailman. *crosses fingers* >_<

Well, I don't have nothing much to say right now. *shrugs* I hope you all are doing well. Again, I appreciate your kind thoughts and your warm support during this trying time. I'm sure we'll be fine as a family. *hugs* ^_^

Quick Q!:
What's creepier: a darkness with silence or a darkness filled with eerie noises?

Just a question that came to mind while I was driving today. ^_^ All righty then! Take care and peace!

   Murphy's Law says...

Hey you all. I hope you all have had a good weekend. As for me, I wish things would have turned out better...

Well, the weekend began as it usually has for the past several months. Get up, go work on the church's facilities, clean up and go to skit practice (that hasn't been for the past several months...), then go home all late to get up all early!

So anyway, yesterday was turning out to be the typical Sunday: go to church and then to the nursing home. Well, this past Sunday was a smidge bit different: my grandfather just passed away. I was on my way to the nursing home with a couple of my friends when I noticed I had a "Missed Call" on my cell. It was my dad. I called him back, and he told me the bad news. I then proceeded to call my sister. It sounded as though she were devasted.

I feel bad, especially for my dad, and I'm trying to be really supportive of him. He told me last night that he's still pretty much in shock from the whole news. "There goes my hero," he said to me. My grandfather was a Marine, who served in WWII. He lived like the Marine, died as one, and will, thus, be buried in Arlington Cemetry. Even until the end, with congestive heart failure and memory loss (from which my dad and I found a lot of good laughs), he was as stubborn as a Marine and just as sharp (with some things...lol) too. Semper Fi, Poppy. *salutes* Semper Fi.

Funny: The previous week, I had nothing but exciting, good news and whatnot. I'm sure Murphy's law is applicable in someway: "If anything just cannot go wrong, it will anyway." Yes, that seems like an extremely pessimistic way of looking at things. I apologize...

Uhhh... On lighter news, I saw SpiderMan 3. It was very long but still very good. *sighs* Ok, I really don't have nothing much to say. Sorry for the "gloom and doom" post. I'll try to visit some of you all later. ^_^ Take care.

Oh yeah, ...P.S. I'll resume my "Cowboy Bebop" theme the next time I post...if I remember! O_O *writes a note to self* ttfn

I love good news!

Hey everyone! Thanks for your comments on my last post. I appreciate all of your "condolences" for my extremely busy life. lol

Actaully, life has gotten a lot less busy. For one thing, school is (finally) winding down, and this is our last academic week! Yesterday, I did my "Color Blindness" presentation for my Physics class. It went really well for the most part. I just wish the class computer had PowerPoint 2003: the older version didn't do some of my animations, but my professor understood. ^_^ You guys probably have no idea how relieved I was when I got through the presentation. I keep saying today that I feel as though a thousand pounds have been dropped from off my shoulders: "I FEEL GOOD" as that old song goes! XD

Today was also another burden relieved from me. Well, it started on Tuesday when I took a Music exam, and it was the "Ear Training" part of the test (my worst part...). Although I don't think I got a perfect on it, I'm still happy to have gotten it done. Then today, we would've had a second part to that "Ear Training" test, that is, a sight-reading section. But to my surprise and relief, my professor completely dropped the whole sight-reading exam!! WHOOHOO! I was ready to do a dance at that point! XP

So if you can't tell already, I'm really, really happy. ^_^ And the good news keeps acoming! Just a little while ago, I heard from a friend that I might be able to work at that coal company again this summer. YES! I could really use the money. Also, I just read an e-mail from Magnus Lenshur. I'm sure you all remember her and miss her as well. But she seems to be doing much better, so don't you all worry. ^_^

Ahhh... It feels really good just to sit in front of the computer and not think about any projects for awhile. (I do have one last paper to write up, but that's pretty much it!) Skits are my biggest concern for right now, but even those will be over with in a few weeks. Oh yeah, I've been put in charge of preparing the props. *sighs* Well, I guess you can't have your cake and eat it too... ...how's that saying go? *shrugs* At least I was told now and not 2 weeks ago. I swear I would've jumped in front of a bus or something with all that pressure...lol Just kiddin'.

So, now that I've blabbed all that... How have you all been doing? I was able to visit some sites last night but certainly not all. I'll try to visit some more today. Take care, everyone. Thanks for being good buds. ^_^

How I feel right now, with an extra boost of sugar and caffiene

Spring is in the air... FINALLY

Ahh! It's such a lovely day for once. The weather is gorgeous with no rainy cloud in the sky. I think spring has finally settled in.

So how are you all? I'll visit some more of you all later. I still have some school work to, for a lack of a better word, work on.

My weekend went pretty well. On Friday, the Editing Team, consisting of myself and 3 other friends, worked on our skits once again. It was a nice time. The host of the gathering provided us with a yummy dinner of steak and shrimp. Mmmm...tasty tasty! We worked on the skits until around 11:30 p.m. At that point, I really wanted to go home, but I had no idea how to get back (I followed somebody to get there in the first place). One of my buddies just laughed at my dilemma... *shakes head* Fortunately, we didn't stay too much longer.

Saturday was nice. I was able to sleep in a bit from the previous, long night. But I left home to work on the church facilities again. At the rate we're going, we're hoping to finish by sometime in September. *crosses fingers* We shall see! Anyway, an hour after we finished working, the young adults gathered to practice on the skits. They're coming along, though they certainly aren't the greatest. I just hope we all learn our lines so we're not sounding like a bunch of bots... As soon as we were all done with that, I went to a concert at the college where my professor was performing. He did a great job with a Mozart concerto. Now I have to write a paper so I can get some extra credit for my music class! lol

Finally, Sunday was the big day for our concert choir. I was feeling a bit nervous but was glad I was with 30 other people. I know for a fact that I would've been a nervous wreck had I been by myself. lol Overall, the concert went well. Some of the highlights of the concert: a girl had to leave right before the concert began due to an abrupt allergic reaction, a kid completely forgot his sheet music (but not his binder) and was looking over to the fellow next to him the entire time (quite obvious to everyone in the audience), I had my music upside down and out of order, and the conductor was making strange faces at us (I got lost trying to interpret his facial gestures).

So yeah... The performance went well, and I'm relieved that it's finally over. No more late nights on Tuesday! *WHOOHOOO!* There's another burden off my shoulder. I was, however, disappointed that my mom didn't come. It's funny yet sad that little issues can grow out of hand into overly ridiculous problems. *shakes head*

Now all I need to do is work on a few more projects for school, ready myself for the skits, look for a job (that's a new one on my list of "Things to Do"), cut the grass that my dog fertilizes at least 3x a day, and other things that I'm trying to forget right now... I hope your day's going well for you all. lol ^_^ It's almost over...it's almost over... I see a bright light at the end of the tunnel!...

Hasta la vista! XD
