   meh

On Chapter 13 of Hearts of Ice! Halfway finshed! Then I'm going to read Light of the Snow Red Village all the way through, then reread Beast, since I've forgotten some things. Mostly, Inuyasha and Kagome's interactions in the beginning. They, uh, didn't get along too well.
Geez. Hard to believe, but I'm almost looking forward to going back to class. Waaay too much time on my hands.
*sighs*

ElvesAteMyRamen: The plot is a little hard to explain. Nothing I do ever makes sense. I mean for it to be simple, then it all just gets out of hand. *sighs* It's a fantasy. The short version is this: some godddess type person (named Fianne) goes on a power trip and decides that humans and everything living on the same plane as humans are inferior and must be destroyed. In the beginning, the other god/dess people used chaos to create . . . everything, then sealed it away in a magickal object. Fianne wants to use this to complete her self-appointed task.
Of course, she has to be stopped, so various people of various races are torn from their lives to bring some balance back into their world.

And that is basically it.

   *is proud*

I wrote! I wrote! I wrote! *dances around happily* It's only two pages and it sounds horrible, but I couldn't care less. I'm just glad I wrote. It's been a long time since I've written anything of my own and besides, what doesn't sound right can always been fixed when I edit it.
I think I have finally kicked my writer's block! Yay!
Now that I've written a couple pages in Reign, I'm going to try a scene from K,S&E. It's been begging to be written.

   yes, again

I read a little more in Silver's Edge. I don't understand a thing that's going on (well, seperately I do, but put it all together and I'm totally lost) but at least now I'm interested. I like it well enough to try to keep an eye out for the other two books in the trilogy anyway.
It has also helped renew my determination to complete my fantasy novel Reign. I'm getting some ideas and hopefully soon (maybe *fingers crossed* tomorrow) I'll have an outline done so I can get to work.
I will also be working on K,S&E, my uncompleted project of six long years. Whenever I get the urge, I'm going to write little scenes until I have enough to start putting the thing together. Don't need an outline for this one. I know what happens as well as I know myself. I've lived with it for waaay too long not to.

I'm gonna get to page 100 in Silver's Edge and finish the second chapter of Hearts of Ice, then I am going to bed.
Night all!

this is what I do with my time

I got a new game last night, The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind. I'm not that far, but already I'm completely addicted to it. It was all I could do to stop playing last night, lol. (look at me, sounding all proud of this *sweatdrops*) My character's name is Rhyn. She's a wood elf, born under the sign of The Lady, and by class she is a healer (some guy asked a series of really funky questions and told me this. I'm happy with it, too).
I also finally finished Teen Witch. Now I can start on To Ride a Silver Broomstick, which I am extremely excited about. I plan on visiting a few sites, taking a shower, then settling down for a few hours of reading. Maybe I'll even pick up Silver's Edge. *sighs* It's the kind of book I like, it really is, but for some reason I just can't get into it. I like Griffin (*glomps* he's such a sweetheart!), Delphinea, and Timias so far. Nessa is okay. She kinda reminds me of one of my characters, so I guess I'm obligated to like her. Even if she isn't in love with Griffin. Yet.

Welp, I'm off to get clean! Yay!

   tired . . . sooo tired . . .

I am currently reading (rereading, actually, heh) Hearts of Ice, a Ranma 1/2 fanfic, by the very talented Krista Perry. I never finished it the first time around, so I have to read it again so I understand the rest. I don't mind, though. It's worth it.

Somehow, I don't think I'll be getting much sleep tonight. *sighs* Again.

   Grrrr!

For the third time in a week, I can't sleep. Every time I try to lay down my brain goes into overdrive. It won't shut up. It insists on throwing up every single freakin' thing that I could possibly have to worry about, so I can't get to that nice gray place where sleep is possible. I think I would be doing myself a favor if I bashed my head in. I can't do this again! Not healthy!
*sighs* I'm just gonna mess around on the internet for a while. Maybe that will shut my brain down so I can get some Zs. I'm already sleep deprived. I'm misspelling about 2/3 of the words I'm typing (backspace button is friend!).

Ugh!

   Life? Ha! What life?

Doin' nothing, nope, nothin'. As usual. Mom and Keith are getting ready to go to his mom's for their Christmas thing while I sit in my room typing this. As soon as they leave I am SO watching The Return of the King. I got the extended version for Christmas. he he. Aragorn goodness. ; )

I have about 40 pages left in The Riddle of the Wren, so I'm gonna finish that today too. Not too bad a book. If nothing else de Lint put a lot of thought into the plot (he pretty much made up his own worlds and gods and goddesses and such) and once you get past the first few pages the writing isn't bad either. Very good imagry and detail.

My next fanfic venture: Krista Perry's Ranma 1/2 fanfic Hearts of Ice. Very good, very long, and, like most of KP's work, unfinished. *sighs* Love her work, adore it, but I wish she would finish something! Here Comes a Candle in particular.
Not that I finish anything either. I haven't even finished reading Light of the Snow Red Village, The Prince of Snows, Beast, or Hearts of Ice. All beautifully written fics, but so very long. I have to be in a particular mood to read them - or sleep deprived, I've noticed.

All right. I have bored you enough, so now I'm off to bore someone else!

   *insert title here*

I just watched Two Brothers with my mom . . . tore my heart out. I love tigers and the way they were treating them . . . made me ashamed to be a human. But, then, I feel that way a lot. It annoys the freakin' heck out of me when we try to act like we're so above animals. We aren't. We are nothin' but animals ourselves and no amount of arguing is going to change that. Ever.
Sorry. People are entitled to their opinions. It's just . . . I hate to see animals getting hurt needlessly. I recognize the need to hunt/kill for food, but, again, sorry, furs are wrong. Killing a beautiful animal just for vanity and/or profit is unjustifiable.

Ah, I'm just gonna stop now before this turns into more of a sermon than it already is. Merry Christmas, y'all!
