   Christmas Eve

I love my cat, but I hate cleaning up after her.
It stinks. Literally.

Went to my family's get together today. Boring. Just kinda wandered about until it was time to open presents. I have no idea why, but everyone insists on giving me candles, which I never use. I give 'em to my mom when we get home 'cause she likes them (a lot, there's candles everywhere here).
I did get one thing that I wanted, though, from my aunt Rachel: To Ride a Silver Broomstick.
*hugs book and aunt*
THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!

Welp, hope you all have a merry Christmas!

   mmmmpf

It is 6:36 AM. Guess who hasn't been to bed yet. That's right! Me. I'm a little tired, but I can't sleep. Really, I can't. I'm too caught up in a RK fic. Akai Kitsune's Light of the Snow Red Village. *sniffs* It's soooo beautiful! I've almost cried three or four times already. I'm a little afraid Kaoru (grrr!) will be entering the picture, but I don't have to worry 'bout that right now, so I'm good.

I'm gonna go to my grandma's today! Yay! Me love my grandma.
I also might (hopefully!) get the sixth volume of Fruits Basket. Kyo-chan, here I come!
*huggles kitty*

   Well . . .

I can't believe myself. Forget what I said in my earlier entries about Reign and that other story. Oh no. I have a much, much better idea. Something simpler and, well, easier to understand than the other two. I don't think what I originally had planned will work very well, but I can still keep the concept the same. And the names. I love the names. Darcie and Isaac. He he. "Dark one" and "laughter". Sooo appropriate to their characters - or will be when I get done with them.

Welp, I'm off for now. I'm determined to reach page 100 in The Riddle of the Wren (good book, but one that's gonna take a while to get through). I also havta call my papa, see if I can catch a ride with him tomorrow.

   Zzzzzzzzzzzzz

It's 4:20 AM, and I can't sleep, even though I'm dead tired. I probably could lay down, but I don't know if that'll help or not. Sometimes I just stare at the ceiling. My boring, boring ceiling. Stupid ceiling. *sighs*

Ah, whatever, I'm just gonna go to bed. I don't want to sleep all day. That annoys me to no end. Besides, I have a room to clean and a book to finish and writing to do. Can't sleep all day.

   GYAH!

I am sooo freakin' bored right now. I'm listening to the radio, to some stupid song I don't even like, wracking my brains for some story ideas while I wait for The Castings page to load (and I don't even know where I left off!).
Not only am I retaking up Reign, but I'm thinking of doing the same with another story I thought was long dead (and you'll recognize it, Jen!). I've never been able to come up with a clear plot for it, but I figure that's a problem that is easily overcome. I just have to think a little.
*sighs*

This is the beginning I had the last time I tried to do anything with it:
No one said anything to her as she walked down the path, head bowed, hand curled tightly around the hilt of her sword, and when people turned to watch her there was no recognition in their stares, only curiosity. Once she would have given anything for these simply, good-hearted townspeople to know her . . . now she was grateful they didn’t. It was best they forgot the daughter of their old lord.

If it had been possible to avoid it, Kai never would have come back. She would have stayed with her uncle tucked away in his castle in the mountains and pretended to herself that this place never existed. But he had left her just as her father had so there was no reason for her to stay and nowhere else for her to go.

Kai turned onto another path. Houses and shops lined this one as well, but she knew that the farther she walked the farther the distance grew between them until the only thing along side the path were slender, overhanging willows; then the dirt became cobblestone and soon after that - too soon - she would see a large stone house covered thickly with vines. Greenwood Manor. The place she had once called home.

At the time I thought it was great. Rereading it, it SUCKS. But, once again, that was a while ago and if I give up I'll never get better.

Well, I'm gonna go surf the internet for another fourty five minutes, then it's back to The Riddle of the Wren for me.

   no better, no worse. whatever.

My throat hurts and I am tired and annoyed. That's all there is to say really.

I am going to try (for the third time) to read The Riddle of the Wren. *sighs* I have had it for a year or more and I still haven't gotten around to reading it.

luck had EVERYTHING to do with it

I recieved my grades in the mail today. I PASSED ALL MY CLASSES! YES! Three Cs and two As, and I have a 2.75 GPA, another C. It isn't my best, to be sure, but it isn't my worst either. I'm just happy I didn't get any ugly Fs. That would have been bad, very bad.
I still don't understand how I passed Philosophy of Religion. I barely did any of the work! Oh well. I'm not complainin'. And I learned my lesson. I got lucky this time. I got a break. I'm going to get with it next semester. I might not be so lucky next time. Besides, I'll get a sense of accomplishment from working hard and doing well.

   problem SOLVED!

I started reading Holes yesterday. I finished it about a half an hour ago. *is proud* I liked the movie and I had never picked up the book before so I figured why not? It couldn't hurt. Quick read. Wasn't too bad. I have to say I liked the movie better, though. Maybe 'cause I saw the movie first. It usually works that way. The Green Mile was about the only book to movie I've actually liked as much as I liked the book.
Now I have to figure out what to read. Again.
This sucks. Ah, I'll work on that later. It can wait.
Anyway, my new obsession: webcomics. I have three I'm really interested in: The Castings, The Legend of the Four, and Fallen Feathers (which I am reading while typing this, lol). Oh! And Uttuki! Can't forget that one! It's by Krista Perry, one of the best fanfic authors I have come across. I love her work. Even though she doesn't finish anything.
*sighs*
Well, I'm off to read more of my comic. Catch ya later!

Ja!
